What a fantastic restaurant this is! These people know exactly what hospitality means. Upon arrival, you're greeted with a big smile, just as it should be! I started with two oysters. I had the calamari fritti, followed by the monkfish (fresh off the knife). It was incredibly well-prepared by the chef, who even comes to your table to ask if everything is to your liking. I love this kind of service! The staff is super friendly; my compliments to the entire restaurant! If you want delicious fresh fish in The Hague with excellent service, you have to go to Zee Op Tafel! Keep it up, guys!

Okay, you have to be a bit CRAZY to eat here. But I am and that's why I (we, Bianca and I from Binkbikes) eat here regularly. And of course it can be disappointing here too. Actually only when they don't have a place 🤨 But it's always cozy here and everyone does their best to make something beautiful and tasty. The intention is great and the fish is delicious and that's what it's all about! A big 5* for Team ZOT from Team Binkbikes

Sorry, what used to be a good fish shop.. words fail me here. It is now run by "young adults" with no eye for their audience. Up to 2 times I got fish that was not right and well you pay, because they are not stingy with that. If you go in there now, oh it is dirty and no longer neat and inviting. I call, after I got home, I tell the owner (had to wait 10 minutes) your "Squid" is spoiled, I can taste it. He says, "no, not true"! And hangs up, 30 euros in the garbage bag, and well there are parts of the world that have nothing. But to the owner / chef: money is not important as long as YOU STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT! That means: QUALITY, CARE AND LOVE!.

Portion of bickering. The price here goes up with every visit. 9.40 (once started with 6.50) I said to the saleswoman, pfew, that's expensive? She said it is a bigger portion. Well no, not at all. I think it's absurd.

Popular neighbourhood seafood supplier and casual restaurant. They can make pretty much anything from what they have, so if you have something specific in mind, just ask. Here we discovered one of our favorite Calamari Fritti. Fresh, marinated and perfectly cooked.

Heerlijke verse vis gegeten, Pieter termannetjes met 'n heerlijke dressing en de dressing op de salade was ook heerlijk. Een sesam dressing die je ook in de winkel kunt kopen. Leuk, ongedwongen personeel, informeel maar zo lekker super vers. Wij komen hier zeker 'n keer terug

Very good food, copious plates, received fries and salads although not mentioned, very warm welcome, the restaurant room is the back shop of the fishmonger, a guarantee of quality. don't hesitate to walk through the door!

What a delightful evening! Food was outstanding from a very talented chef (try the kingfish, almost "blackened" creole styly but lighter). Djilly and Maurits took great care of us and the comfortable decor is always a relaxed evening. This remains one of our perennial favorites; thanks!

I don't understand the high rating. This was our worst meal in the Hague. I had a very unappealing bowl of bouillabaisse with very little fish and the salads were small and not very good for the price. We were there in a very warm day and the place also didn't smell very good. I wouldn't want to buy my fish here. The service was good but there are far better seafood options in a city full of delicious seafood.

Absolutely recommended. Everything fresh and affordable.

I had only coffee from there and i went there with kids. The waiter probably wanted to be nice, but gave my kid a lot of candies/cookies without my premission. Luckily the child is allergic/on diet/sick with diabetes or sth, but i still think it wasnt ideal and responsible.

Craftsmanship. This place may not be as famous as some others in town, but it's not because of lack of quality. From fresh oysters to an entire salmon, from a single herring to coquilles St Jacques, they have it. To dine in, to take away, to prepare yourself, whatever you want.

Ik kwam donderdagochtend 4 januari in de winkel om vis te kopen. Niemand in de winkel, na kuchen mijn aanwezigheid laten blijken, nog steeds niemand, vervolgens geroepen “hallo is daar iemand?”, verscheen een een man met ZOT overhemd uit een betegelde ruimte. En vroeg wat ik wilde hebben. “Vier ons gerookte zalm”. De zalm werd met blote handen uit een bak gehaald en in een ander bakje gedaan. Daarna vroeg ik om drie ons grote gepelde Gamba’s, deze werden ook met de blote hand uit een bak gegraaid en in een kleinere bak gedaan. Eén grote gamba werd vanaf een afstand in de grote bak in de vitrine met ijs teruggegooid. Daarna vroeg ik: “ mag ik ook een schijf vispate?”. Antwoord: “ja dat mag, het is hier geen museum” en vervolgens “eentje maar?”. Mijn reactie: “moet ik er anders twee nemen?”. Ik vond het een onprettige bediening en het ergste was dat alles met blote handen werd aangepakt. Ik hoop dat die sanitaire ruimte geen WC was waar deze persoon zojuist vandaan kwam. Met zekere weerstand zal ik morgen voor mijn gasten zalmcarpaccio maken, ik hoop dat we niet ziek worden.

Comimos de lujo. El personal muy amable y atento a cada pregunta que teníamos. Pescado fresco. Puedes elegir el que quieres y te lo cocinan al momento. Pedimos: vieiras, mejillones, sashimi, filete de atún y una ensalada de acompañamiento. Todo espectacular.

Halen regelmatig een maaltijd.gistrren calamares en dorade. In een woord voortreffelijk,goede prijs/prestatie Dus gewoon doen!

Wat hebben wij lekker gegeten zeg. Heerlijke lunch. Vooraf de heerlijke bisque homard en 6 oesters, hoofdgerechtjes, de pieterman met een verrukkelijke beurre blanc saus en voor mij tarbot met ook een beurre blanc saus, om je vingers bij af te likken. Dit in combinatie met de huis chardonnay kan ik zeggen dat we een top lunch hebben gehad.Geweldige prijs kwaliteit verhouding en een kok die zn vis goed weet te bereiden. We komen zeker terug 👍🏻

Dit is een viswinkel met tafeltjes waar je ook kunt eten. De vis is heerlijk. Probeer vooral de kibbeling van zeewolf!

Top restaurant, super verse vis, en erg mooi klaar gemaakt, in tijden niet zo lekker gegeten, met zijn tweetjes eerst verschillende voorgerechtjes gegeten, de ceviche!! Echt een toppertje, met mooie citrus erin, maar ook de andere gerechten helemaal top, daarna de zeewolf, geen woorden voor….. en de bediening ook helemaal top

Super gegeten, super vers, fantastische smaken, de ceviche was echt de top, eigenlijk alles wel, als je in Den Haag ben en een vis liefhebber, dan moet je hier eten!!

Looking for an evening meal we walked past this unassuming fish shop - with two tables outside….. we went in and were delighted, the owner took time to explain the menu in English and where his fresh fish come from every day! I had the ceviche and it was delicious - best I’ve tasted! My wife had a sea bass salad - once again really fresh and tasty. We are only staying in The Hague for two nights on this trip - but we are eating there again tomorrow night! Great staff, fresh fish, hard working owner! What’s not to like! Thank You!

Unpretentious, but excellent food. Choice of red wine by the glass could be better.

We enjoyed our huge seafood dinner at ZoT. Partner and I shared mussels calamari mahi-mahi and Gillardeau oysters. There was no English menu but the staff assisted us in our order. Seafood was fresh and tasty. Mussels serving was quite generous!

Always fantastic fresh fish and seafood. The restaurant part is relaxed and friendly. Especially lunch is excellent value. Small but well selected wine list.

Net heerlijke reuzen garnalen gekocht, overheerlijk en vers!!!

Altijd goed om hier wat moois op te halen zoals een lekkerbek of wat vers, je kan er ook prima zitten om wat te eten, chefkok is reuze vriendelijk en maakt het altijd erg lekker. Klein nadeeltje is de sterke vislucht in de winkel dus als je daar gaat eten trekt de geur ook in je kleding.

I found the Zee op Tafel by chance walking around the office. A gentleman sitting outside the restaurant told me this is one of the best seafood places I could find in the area and I decided to give it a try. I have to say I was not disappointed. The look and feel of the place is amazing and you see locals sitting and dining very pleasantly. I was helped by Mirta whose service was superb, always talking with a smile and very welcoming. I ordered two rounds of oysters and the whole baked seabass. This is definitely a great spot in the area to lunch or dine.

Was taken to ZoT by a local and found the herring and scallops to be delicious.

Poissons très frais, un peu d'attente car le chef a l'air perfectionniste mais on oublie tout lorsque l'on goûte l'assiette. Les gens dont vraiment accueillant, aussi bien en cuisine que parmi les clients. Beaucoup de locaux mangent ici. Superbe ambiance.
