Villa Bodelaeke in Giethoorn

Met de fam gegeten Goed ontvangst zeer aardige dames. Zeer mooie accommodatie mooi terras. Lekkere oesters, lekkere aperitiefjes heerlijk eend en dessert bubbels erbij om het af te maken Super goed team met mooie ambiance en sfeer.

We hebben genoten van een heerlijk 6 gangen all inclusive Valentijns verrassingsmenu. Heerlijk gegeten voor een prettige prijs.

Via een actie van Villa Bodelaeke kwamen we hier terecht. We maakten gingen voor een 6-gangen diner inclusief tafelwater, huiswijnen, bier, fris, koffie etc. En dat voor een aantrekkelijke prijs. Het klonk bijna om te mooi om waar te zijn maar dat was niet zo. We hebben een fantastische avond gehad. Genoten van een geweldig menu, verrassende hapjes, lekkere (ook alcoholvrije) wijnen die frequent werden bijgeschonken. Het hele restaurant zat vol maar de service verliep uitstekend (harde werkers en goed georganiseerd) maar was ook zeer gastvrij met tijd voor een praatje en een lach. Al met al een geweldige avond gehad waarvoor dank! En we komen zeker terug.

We reserved lunch at Villa Bodelaeke through Social Deal. We were kindly received and were allowed to choose a table on the raised floor (about 20 cm). There were about six tables there. All of this afternoon's guests were on the platform, so it was not very busy. This did make it feel cozy, because you now saw other guests and heard their noise. Villa Bodelaeke is warmly decorated, just like its sister Villa Kalkoven, but in a different color scheme. The service was smooth and friendly. We were served our lunch in courses. There was a good break between courses: not too long and not too short. The food tasted really delicious, we enjoyed it very much! Great diversity, hot, cold, savory and sweet. Highly recommended!!

We booked through Social deal. Nice menu, delicious food. Real host. The wine we ordered was no longer in stock. We got an alternative at the same price. This wine was very tasty. Thanks for the hospitality. We will definitely come back soon.

Enjoyed a delicious Christmas brunch in beautiful surroundings with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Lots of fresh fish, including an oyster and crayfish, used in various dishes. Delicious food. As far as we are concerned, there could have been slightly more or larger portions on the table. But I will definitely come again.

What care is given here to both the food and the service. Delicious food, 6 course all-inclusive menu. A drink was even made for me based on what I like (fresh with bubbles, but something special). Nice environment with open kitchen. Recommended!

Super nice atmosphere and decoration, great experienced service and good food. Fun and delicious evening and excellent price/quality. So we also booked brunch and pfoh, that was a lot and delicious too! Can really recommend it to everyone!

Very nice and cozy restaurant. There was a promotion with a 6 course menu for €60.00. Dishes were beautifully prepared and tasty. Attention is certainly paid here to explaining the dishes and wines to visitors. We will definitely visit this restaurant again.

The fried chicken is super delicious. It’s probably the best meal I’ve had in the past two months. It’s a very satisfying meal.

Food is pretty good and staffs are soooooo nice! All in all, I highly recommend it and will eat here again next time I come to Giethoorn!

Had a delicious meal here tonight with 4 people, special 6 course arrangement, incl. beer/wine/coffee and tea, friendly service, beautiful experience and tasty surprising dishes, all in all we sat for 4 hours, it was pleasant.

Villa Bodelaeke is a nice location for a delicious dinner. This is our second visit to the restaurant. The staff is informal enough that we felt very much at home. Certainly not a high threshold. We visited on Saturday evening, it was pleasantly busy. The location is beautifully situated on the water, especially in the summer with a beautiful terrace and sandy beach. The restaurant is nicely decorated. We enjoyed a 6-course chef's dinner including an appetizer. Most of the courses were surprising combinations that required a lot of creativity. The dishes were served at a good pace with clear explanations from the staff. The service was excellent, friendly and prompt. We would love to come back again!

Ate here during a weekend trip from Tilburg. We had the 6-course surprise menu. We were welcomed very friendly and guided to our table. The food was a real surprise. The dishes were diverse, beautifully prepared and of good quality. The two gentlemen serving really did everything they could to make the guests happy. Very good price/quality ratio. We definitely recommend this nice restaurant! Thank you!

We ordered a 4-course dinner via social deal. We are happy with the different dishes. The amuse with serrano ham and hummus was a delicious starter. The starter was a tomato steak with dots of mayo and buffalo mozzarella and lime oil. The porcini soup with mushrooms was tasty. The main course with truffle gravy was excellent. Dessert with creme brulee and ice cream was a nice ending. The service was attentive and took the time to explain things.

If you have a trip to Giethoorn, be sure to go to this restaurant. It’s really amazing. Eggs Benedict, lobster soup (recommended to eat with bread), diamond truffle steak. Coupled with the white wine recommended by the lovely waiter, this meal is really satisfying. It has three Michelin stars. It is also the biggest gain of my visit to Giethoorn.

Had lunch on Mother's Day, May 16, 2023. The location may be beautiful, but the service was mediocre, as was the food. Ask a Crodino, and they answer: I don't know the wine list very well... Twice the dish of veal tartare, looked terrible and was also bad for the stomach, simply not tasty. Twice cheese steak: slightly better, but meat was downright tough. The asparagus salad tasted like something, not clear what it was. Complained about the tartare, but left the rest alone to maintain the atmosphere. The two tartare dishes were taken off the bill, which is nice. I must say that the restaurant overqualifies itself. The owners contacted us and apologized, they were upset about our criticism, and they responded to it, it was handled nicely. 04.10.2024: It's been a while since they offered lunch, but it hasn't been picked up yet. No retake. This text has been slightly edited. We won't see it, because we simply won't go there anymore.

Unexpectedly came across this beautiful location. The ambiance and location are more than great. There had just been a wedding fair. The superb atmosphere could still be seen and tasted. Decoration of wedding bench and guest chairs on the beach. As well as the wedding boat decorated with beautiful fresh flowers. The extremely friendly lady brought us a beautifully presented appetizer with drinks. A young man walked across the terrace with a beautiful bouquet that matched his shirt perfectly. I noticed that the flowers looked so good on him. A little later he returned with the beautiful flower arrangement. I was allowed to take it with me. Many thanks Milan. How beautiful is it that you can enjoy this spontaneous friendliness, outside the craziness of Giethoorn and in peace and quiet. We'll be back. We wish you all the best.

It was very tasty, we ordered the main course - Dorado was the most tender. The eel appetizer is excellent. The beef steak was tender and cooked to perfection.

Quite a nice restaurant, albeit expensive

Qualitativ sehr hochwertiges Menu. Superfreundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Es gibt - für schönes Wetter - eine wunderbare Außenterrasse am Wasser. Eher teurer, unsere Rechnung für drei Personen lag bei 220 €, aber es war jeden Cent wert.

Delicious tasting oysters, I thought natural was the tastiest but I have changed my opinion. Les fruits de mer from the art delicious, all courses special, all with a beautiful view over the water, very nice service. Highly recommended to end a day in Giethoorn... see you again soon!

We had lobster and mussels unfortunately it was a very low level. There's nothing available for children, so to speak... so I wouldn't go there anymore. The restaurant would leave something behind…. I think that's why not much is going on...

I had mussels fish and lobster. 🦞 inedible had to leave 70%. There is no children's menu and the restaurant is very unfriendly for children. I can't recommend it and won't be back. We went to different places in the area every day for about 10 days and each one was better! The service is unfriendly. Unkind, there was a fly on the lobster 🦞 🪰 and when you pointed it out to the service, she shrugged her shoulder. ..

Unfortunately a disappointing evening! We are guests in Bodelaeke Village and spent our wedding anniversary in the restaurant last night. The service, especially the female waiter, was very careless and not very attentive. She seemed rather annoyed! The food, as described on the website, met our expectations and was delicious. The beef fillet was of different qualities and had different degrees of doneness. Furthermore, the described truffle was missing from these dishes. When asked, there was only a shrug of the shoulders! The portions were very small. Although we had a starter, a snack and a main course, the male guests were not full. We also found the waiting times to be very long. By the time the main course arrived, we had already been in the restaurant for two hours! We decided not to have dessert because the mood was unfortunately a bit dampened. We also mentioned the missing truffles when paying at the counter, but they just said, “We probably forgot,” etc. We were disappointed and will not visit the restaurant again!

Upon entry, no one greeted us, so we seated ourselves. After waiting 30 minutes without service, while two other tables were already served menus and drinks, we decided to leave. Don't choose this place if you want to have good service.

Ja, wir haben zu viert auf der wunderschönen Terrasse sehr gut gegessen. Der Service war zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Die Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken ausreichend.

Mooie en rustige plek met fijne ambiance. Goed eten en goed van smaak. Een niet standaard kaart met heerlijke gerechten. Personeel is persoonlijk en neemt de tijd voor je. Wij komen zeker terug.

On June 28, 2024 we celebrated our wedding anniversary at Villa Bodelaeke. A beautiful indoor and outdoor location, friendly and hard-working staff, furnished according to the wishes of the bridal couple, highly recommended!

Heel fijn om hier weer te zijn! Mooie smaken, fijne gastvrijheid en goede wijnen. Oesterproeferij, zwezerik, parelhoen en friandises. Het was top en tot snel!!

Unfortunately, a somewhat unfortunate evening during the week (Thursday). Service overall inattentive (e.g. glasses missing from the water bottle ordered, etc., service and kitchen not coordinated). Drinks were on the house. It can happen.

Tomorrow I went to eat here for the third time in a row, everything was perfect, I've rarely had such a good price-performance ratio, a clear recommendation, everything is on a fine dining level, I would also give it 6 stars 😃

Mooie gerechten. Niets op aan te merken. Prijs is behoorlijk. Hoog, wel te verstaan. €34,50 Voor een rib-eye vind ik erg hoog. Bediening is gezellig en attent. Al was het soms wel een rommeltje wie nou “jouw” bediening was, Dan was het een van de uitbaters, dan een dame, dan nieuwe ster aan het firmament.

It's nice that this location is open again. Things should work out better, then it would be as busy as it used to be. The conditions are met.

The boys and crew did it again. From Meppel@kalkovens to Giethoorn@bodelaeke, the 2nd in the Villa series is a hit. Because of the 2 separate menus you have to try both. My preference goes to lime kilns, because it is cozy there with a rural landscape-like menu. VB is an open air feeling with stunning views and a more fish based menu. Take your pick. Head and shoulders above the rest. UPDATE Whoop we are going to Easter brunch at V.Bodelaeke! Can not wait . There was a choice between lime kiln or bode. Bode was ultimately preferred because of the menu. Shall see. <3

It took a while to get going before the service, but afterwards it was pleasant and certainly tasty, hand in hand with a very matching delicious red wine.

Had an event here for children, which was done in a fun way. We had a pleasant and fun time, with good food and well-organized entertainment in between.

Second time eating here. Just fine. Normal prices good service. Beautiful location. The temperature inside could be a degree higher. I should have asked. The first time 6 weeks ago, dinner was for 4 people, which was also fine with delicious wine.

There were not many customers at noon, so we had to open a back door. Lobster bisque tastes rather strong to me. The three croquette burgers tasted ok. The color of the raw beef was not the bright red that I often see. There is free parking and WIFI. There is a playground for children.

Mooie menu kaart, lekker eten en goede wijn, passende prijzen en prettig personeel. Tja eigenlijk niks op aan te merken. Lekker net buiten het centrum van Giethoorn en de toeristische drukte. Wij hebben het terras bezocht om een drankje en taart te nemen, vriendelijke mensen, leuke kaart. We gaan terug komen om de diner/lunch kaart te proberen.

Чудовий ресторан в прекрасному місці. Смачні устриці, дуже сподобався тайський суп, буябес був пересолений, але ресторан зробив нам комплімент тому ми не ображені. Красива подача блюд та бездоганне обслуговування.

Zeer smakelijke gerechten en leuke wijnkaart. Kwaliteit prijs verhouding in balans. Zeker een bezoek waard en voor ons voor herhaling vatbaar. Betrokken en kundige bediening met aandacht en interesse voor de gasten. Bravo 👏

What an amazing restaurant in the Giethoorn vacation area!!! The oysters “villa” were so tasty then the main course with gambas was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the quail dish and it was delicious. Do leave some room for desert; the chocolate tart is worth it!!!

Een pracht parel verborgen aan het water. De kaart mag wel wat aandacht. Veel vis en asperges terwijl het asperge seizoen voorbij is. Ondanks beperkte keuze wel heerlijk gegeten.

Nieuw restaurant met zeer enthousiast en vriendelijk personeel. Fijn terras aan het water. Bijzondere kaart met heel veel vis! Advies: kijk vooraf online naar de kaart om teleurstelling te voorkomen. Wij lekker gegeten eten werd alleen niet warm genoeg geserveerd feedback werd prima ontvangen.
