Excellent location, nice to sit outside while the children play. Music a bit loud but we didn't mind.

A really nice place! Good atmosphere and very friendly service. We were there with 10 children for a party. A mini-golf combo deal with food & drinks was great. Afterwards, we had fun playing in the playground, on the bouncy castle, and building dams by the pump. Truly an ideal place!

Afterwards, we had fun on the bouncy castle, in the playground, or building dams. It was really great!

Tasty fries in the sunshine in a friendly and cozy atmosphere / bustling place. Ideal for the kids because the playground is right next door. A real fair-weather spot, otherwise you have no business being there. The season has just started so things aren't moving fast yet.

Super friendly staff, burgers and fries very fresh and delicious. Cocktails highly recommended. We will definitely come back again.

Phew, that wasn't our cup of tea at all. We're used to much better things at de Lakens. Edit: The campsite is run by the same people. Unfortunately, the food at Bakkum didn't taste as good as at de Lakens. The grease tasted old and the fries weren't cooked all the way through. The restaurant here on the campsite, for example, was also better.

Bad food! Moroccan lentil soup? It was just a can of peeled tomatoes with a dash of cream. Furthermore, the menu is very boring, not much more than a snack bar. It's also always the quietest place on the square. And they give out plastic cutlery; even my 6 and 8-year-olds thought that was unacceptable. What a shame that this beautiful place has been taken over by that. Hopefully they go bankrupt soon. Or maybe they'll do better…

We had a drink on the terrace and the kids had a great time in the playground. Great place with good service.

I ordered "loaded fries Indian style with vegetables such as bell pepper, carrot and onion and pieces of vegetarian mince" for €7.50 (!). And what did I get? A portion of fries covered in a thick sauce and fried onions. No vegetables or vegetarian mince to be seen. Upon inquiry, it turned out that the vegetables and vegetarian mince were in the sauce. Sorry, but if you confuse the description of a dish with the list of ingredients, you are not capable of running a catering establishment properly. (By the way, I personally found the sauce unappetizing). 2 stars for the beautiful location and the friendly staff - but certainly not for the food. NOTE: reviews from before 2024 belong to the fish shop, which was there until last year! It is now a snack bar.

Way too expensive and old, smelly frying fat! Go check out Lakens, you could learn a thing or two from them...it's a complete disgrace!

Reviewing again because there are two pins on Google Maps... Sorry, but it's not worth the money. Fries completely overseasoned, Bami slice inedible, and kibbeling for €8 from the freezer. Tip: EVERY other chip shop in Castricum is better and cheaper...

New location has become really nice! Good coffee and nice beer on the menu, so you can sit there for a while. And that playground is really an improvement.

€12.50 for a handful of frozen seafood... I have never experienced it this bad... this is shameless.

Damn, picked up twice and hope they improve this soon. Fries were cold, order incomplete, frikandel/croquette going well. Chicken wings are chunks of chicken in spicy breadcrumbs, fish tastes like plastic. Friendly people but that doesn't make the food any better.

A camping site fish restaurant. You wouldn't expect it to but this is a very good restaurant. We had Thai fish soup and it was amazing! A absolute recommendation

Delicious fish dishes such as paella, shrimp croquettes, kibbeling and fried mussels and squid rings, but also delicious vegan lentil soup. Drink a delicious Aperol Spritz with it.

Waiting almost an hour for a few portions of kibbeling. On a Thursday evening. This should be possible faster.

I have been to quite some restaurants in the Netherlands so far, and this one stands out from all the others. You might wonder why?! - It's to be found in a small dining lot in a camping area so it rather seems like a casual fish snack bar. Only, that is not... From the tidy and gezellig vibe, through the friendly and passionate attitude of the personel, to the erg lekker fish dishes - literally evergthing is set to create a good seaside atmosphere for you whether you need a proper lunch, dinner or just a little delicious snack for the rest of your journey. Highly recommend it!

Sehr guter Fisch: Schnell, heiß, knusprig und äußerst lecker! Pommes sind auch zu empfehlen.
