Ik hielp mee omdat er met koningsdag maar 1 meisje in de zaak stond. En ik kreeg een paar keer een fooi van briefjes van €500 waarmee ik modevakschool kon betalen en mijn huidige werkgever en tevens geliefde heb ontmoet. De klanten van het vispaleis vroegen me of ik alsjeblieft wou blijven en niet meer weg zou gaan ze gaven grote fooien

Onlangs hier langsgegaan voor een portie kibbeling van €7,50, en ik was aangenaam verrast. De zaak zelf ziet er wat gedateerd uit en zou zeker baat hebben bij een opknapbeurt, want het heeft potentie om een mooie zaak te zijn Het eten was echter prima, en ik werd vriendelijk ontvangen door het personeel. De pinautomaat was helaas buiten werking, maar ik kon eenvoudig betalen door geld over te maken. Ik kom hier zeker nog eens terug voor een lekker portie kibbeling!

Eten goed, te weinig Vissaus voor het grote portie kibbeling. Maar restaurant smoezelig. Vloer vies, tafels plakkerig en wc smerig.

What a misery. Didn't look fresh and inviting. Thought the food was a bit pricey and certainly not top notch. The owner's child was running around in a diaper screaming. That's just not possible!! Think this really was the last time.

Beautiful place, nice view, 5 years ago it was a great tent but now it is doomed, what a shame. The goods inspection service should pay a visit there.

The fish dishes still taste good. Very expensive. €17.50 for a menu. In this case fried mussels. The amount of sauce that comes with the menu is minimal. The mussels were fried nice and crispy. The gourmet food ordered was also good. The building itself and the interior are now in need of some renovation. Also be careful if you want to eat fish on the terrace. The seagulls like to take a piece 😀

echt nooit meer wat een zaak is dit er was niemand bij de balie het duurde 5 min voor dat we werden aangesproken wilde alleen kibbeling hoe moeilijk is dat het duurde heel lang voordat we het kregen 20 min . ondertussen kwam de brandweer controle houden was dus drama de nood deuren waren geblokkeerd en op slot en de eigenaar liep op slippers en een vuile jog broek echt wat een vieze tent is dit nooit heen gaan .

We thought we would eat some fish at the fish palace. It says on the internet that they are open until 8pm on Fridays. We drove 30 minutes ahead and arrived around 7:15 PM. But then. It had been a long time since we had been here and we thought we would eat fish again. A completely different thing than we were used to. Showcases were empty. Ate here 2 weeks ago, nice staff, but how the food was treated was far from neat and clean. With a plastic glove she prepared a herring, then with that same glove she spooned fries into containers. And then with that same glove she paid me money. Really very dirty!! She then dropped 2 large pieces of kibbeling from the container. I didn't get any new ones in return. Nice on entrance of Rotterdam harbour. Very nice terrace for if the weather is nice otherwise sit inside. Food is great and the service is fantastic. All in all a great experience.

Food is good, but €10.00 price difference between portion and menu (some fries and small bowl of lettuce) is a lot in my opinion. Also advise the owner to place a warning sign outside for hungry and cheeky seagulls.

I always came here as a child and you got the best fish here, 2 months ago I came back here after years and the service was top notch, there was a good atmosphere and the food was delicious and nicely prepared. Today I went again and I don't know what happened but the place didn't look good, the counter was empty, everything came from the freezer, my food was poorly cooked, there were 2 shrimps in between with their legs still attached. The man was friendly, but there were 2 young ladies who didn't really feel like it. Spitting on the seagulls, looking as if they didn't want any customers to come at all. Smoking with gloves on that they touch the fish with, smudging it on their own clothes, etc., etc. Damn it, it's become a filthy mess, never come here again!

Food was fair to good, service poor. Plates from the previous customer were still on the table. We moved everything together to make room. Friendly helpful lady serving and cooking. I ordered the plaice. A battered Huge whole place arrived, with good portion of chips and salad. Fish was great, nice to have it on the bone. Good coffee as well. Great view of the port and ships. Plenty of parking. Very handy while waiting for the ferry queue, just round the corner.

Great place with very tasty seafood. Awesome to sit outside watching large boats passing by or.... when the wind is howling around the building with the rain coming down horizontally. Just be aware of the seagulls on the lookout to snap your food.

Went here yesterday, August 31, 2019, with my family. There was a full older lady working who was helping the customers, the lady made me wait 10 minutes to take an order and walked away without saying anything! At one point I opened my mouth and asked why I wasn't being helped and a younger man, about 20 years old, said yes, sorry she didn't say anything, but we are under capacity with staff! I understand that a store is short on staff, but me and my family do not have to be treated like a dog by ignoring us while we want to have a nice meal and PAY for it! In the end I walked away, people like that shouldn't be working! Pack your things and resign if you don't enjoy your job! So it will never be a fishing palace for us again! Everyone can read this, a customer is not a dog! I will definitely tell this to everyone. P. S. What I also found unhygienic is that the person who was baking fries was simply eating fries with his bare hands that customers ultimately get on their plates!

Not what it used to be, ate yesterday. ordered mixed fish dish was previously 28.50, now 34.50, but served differently than in the picture, so no salad, very little variation, more bickering than squid rings or shrimp. Wanted to order a gourmet food, there were none, staff gave the wrong receipt at checkout, no more slices of lemon with the fish, staff responded lukewarm and talked to each other more than concentrating on the customer. I have been there many times in the past, but all in all this is the last time for me, on a beautiful summer day it was not at all busy, which is understandable in retrospect.

We went there 1 month ago while we stopped by on our way to England with Stena line. The food and view was perfect! But the most important thing for us that the staff was so helpfull. We had only british pound and credit card to pay. We didnt have any euro. The credit card was not accepted. They helped us to figure out how to pay. They even told us Its okey if we could not pay. I am very happy that there are such sweet people in this era. Strongly recommended!

Het eten lijkt my niet erg hygiënisch, de mevrouw aan de kassa heeft een paar handschoenen aan maar de handschoenen zijn meer om haar eigen handen schoon te houden, doet hier alles mee, afrekenen geld wisselen dingen pakken enz...maar ze staat hier ook mee de warme kibbeling en andere etenswaren mee op je bord te gooien, Misschien moeten ze punt 8 van de horeca vergunning nog eens doornemen: 8.Hygiënecode horeca Horecabedrijven werken volgens de regels van de Hygiënecode. In deze code worden processen beschreven die kenmerkend zijn voor horecabedrijven. HACCP Alle bedrijven die met levensmiddelen werken, moeten dit op hygiënische wijze doen. Daarvoor is via Europese regelgeving een uitgebreide norm opgesteld: de HACCP.

Well, the fish palace is no longer what it used to be. Staff who use 'honey' as a safe word to every customer and a friendly lady in the kitchen with beautiful long loose hair, but honey please, tie your hair up when you are in the kitchen. Professionalism trumps looks!

Eating it, especially the plaice including the innards, was beyond disgusting. The fries go like this. The kibbeling were prepared carelessly, pieces of 6-8 cm in size, fat/oil was no longer fresh a month ago. The ambience was very captivating, well very sticky and no one wanted to let go 🤮 I like to spend money on good food, but here it was wasted money. Store almost empty, apart from the staff and their children there were only 3 people there besides us. But they had fun riding bikes in the dining room or running around in the kitchen... If there was a change of ownership then I may understand other reviews, otherwise not. Conclusion: disgusting food, sticky atmosphere and friendly service
