Fantastic restaurant! The fish was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the service was truly warm and welcoming. A great place, I highly recommend it!

The food was okay. The place closes at 9:00 PM. At 8:30 PM, two tables were still occupied. Not unusual, right? Yet, they nonchalantly started putting the chairs on the tables. So there you are, staring through a forest of chair legs while they start mopping the floor. That is really unacceptable.

Very disappointing experience. During our visit, Quran recitation and Arabic audio were played at a very high volume. We politely asked if the sound could be turned down or off. However, the response from the person in charge was very disrespectful. He said: “This is my business and I decide what you should listen to.” We found this attitude towards customers particularly arrogant and insulting. It is not about religion or origin for us, but about respect and customer friendliness. As a customer, you should normally be able to express your concerns in a decent manner without being treated like this. Unfortunately, this was a very unpleasant experience for us. In any case, we will not be returning here.

We ate at this restaurant for the first time today and we enjoyed it so much! I want to start with the service: we were helped in an incredibly friendly manner and they really thought along with us. Very disappointing experience! We came here expecting a normal dining experience, but loud religious audio was being played inside the restaurant. We politely asked if the volume could be lowered or turned off, but the owner’s response was essentially: “This is my place, and I decide what people listen to.” We decided to cancel our order and leave. Everyone has the right to practice their religion, but customers should also be able to enjoy a meal without being forced to listen to religious content at high volume. Especially in a country like the Netherlands, where people with different beliefs and backgrounds should be able to share public spaces respectfully. Very disappointing attitude towards customers. I personally would not return and would recommend others think twice before going here.

I went to eat at Miomar today and the food was delicious, Allahumabareek. I hesitated for a long time because of all the reviews I read here, but I took a chance anyway, and none of that is true. I ordered a generous seafood platter, along with delicious paella and a pot of tea for just 45 euros, and I couldn't even finish it. You really get to choose what you pay for. I was here with my child and was received in a super hospitable and friendly manner. Definitely worth trying sometime. It is a nice place. For a standard Moroccan fish shop experience, I was very shocked by the astronomical amount I had to pay at the end of the meal. The cashier asked if I could pay in advance or afterwards: if I had known that this place was so ridiculously expensive, I would have cancelled my order right then and there. I cannot comprehend that you are willing to charge such prices for fish that is available in every fish shop. You talk about fresh fish, but you all use the same wholesaler. With all due respect, you should be a little ashamed, because normal, hard-working families come to you, not gangsters rushing in with cash. The fact that you charge these prices with a straight face shows that you have to pay high rent and are lining your pockets without any form of real service. That you truly stand for the community. Hoping that you will come to your senses and charge normal prices like other fish shops that even have a better reputation. Such as: Andalus, Marost, and Zeezicht. However, I must say that the guy serving is a super top-notch guy with a good smile and good, pleasant service, just like in Morocco. Hoping that the man behind the counter can learn something from this. And hoping that he really receives the tip he gets.

The fried fish was extremely greasy, and all I could taste was the frying oil instead of the fish itself. I also ordered another type of fish, but it was heavily over-seasoned with salt to the point that it was difficult to enjoy. I also tried the restaurant’s famous chermoula sauce, but it was very disappointing. It tasted as if it hadn’t been prepared properly, and the flavor was unbalanced and unpleasant. I hope the restaurant pays more attention to the quality of the food, because good food is what brings customers back.

Together with a friend, we wanted to get something to eat at this place. My friend walked inside and I finished smoking my cigarette (outside on the street) in front of the door. I threw my butt away outside and walked inside. And the gentleman behind the counter turned out to be the owner of the business; he acts as if he is from the Rotterdam Municipal Enforcement Officer. With a harsh tone and hand gestures, he let me know that I shouldn't smoke in front of his shop. I was just calm, I thought he was joking. When I asked inside if he was serious, he said, "Yes, of course, it is my business, smoking is not allowed here," and that he determines what happens in his shop, and that the smoke I exhaled inside his shop is sucked up by the extraction system. It was a whole long story, and he had to tell me a few times that he is the boss, and I was astonished by all the lies he told. He said he could show it on camera. This man cannot handle criticism and he cannot stand it when a customer is right. "You are not in Morocco; here in the Netherlands, the streets belonging to the municipality do not belong to you." I cancelled my order after all these discussions. This was always my favorite restaurant, until my last order placed to enjoy at home with my guests. Unfortunately, this time the experience was very disappointing. The food was not well prepared; most of the fish was undercooked and some pieces were almost raw. Additionally, I found a fly with the food. I contacted the restaurant to report this, but the response was that this was supposedly not true and that I had to send a photo. I sent a photo of the fly, but three days have passed since then without any apology or response from their side. It wasn't about the €200 I paid and ultimately had to throw in the trash, but about the poor quality of the food and the way my complaint was handled. A simple apology would have made a huge difference. Unfortunately, I will never return to this restaurant, not even if they offered me the food for free for the rest of my life. 😐

We ended up here via TikTok (partly through *Op Stap met Hass*). As a result, expectations were quite high, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. For two people, we paid over €103, including two drinks. For that amount, you expect quality, but unfortunately, we didn't get it. The salad was fine, but that was where the positives ended. The various types of fish we ordered were very disappointing. The battered fish pieces were poorly breaded, the mussels were truly inedible, and almost everything was dripping with oil. Additionally, the Charmilla was so full of garlic that the flavor completely vanished. Out of respect, we didn't say anything at the time. We thought: things can go wrong once in a while. In hindsight, perhaps we should have. Unfortunately, we both threw up everything after the meal. I can't say for sure what caused it, but the fact that we both got sick after the same meal made the experience even more unpleasant. For us, this was absolutely not worth the money. There are plenty of fish restaurants where you can eat much better for less. To then be charged over €103 without any comment felt, frankly, very disappointing. For us, this was unfortunately the first and the last time. We will not be returning here and, based on our experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend this establishment.

Fresh fish of excellent quality, friendly staff, good service, and a clean, hygienic shop. The quality is always high. Honestly, the worst experience I have ever had. It is bizarre that you pay €110 per fish platter and then receive such disappointing plates. High expectations and quality are promised when ordering, but what we received was completely out of proportion to that. We ordered 3 fish platters for €110 each, but honestly, the contents combined were not even worth €30. The portions were very meager and the quality was a huge letdown. This is absolutely not what was promised to us beforehand. In addition, we also ordered 3 salad platters. Those were fine and as expected. That is precisely why the contrast with the fish platters stood out even more. The fish platters were, frankly, shameful. I find this a real shame, because you are known for quality. Therefore, I urgently ask you to look into this seriously. What we received does not match the price, the expectations that were raised, and the quality you claim to stand for. That is simply not right.

I have eaten at Miomar several times now, and it never disappoints me. The food is delicious, and the fish is clearly fresh. The fresh salad was also very tasty, and the tjarmela was excellent in flavor. The fish and the tjarmela were served nice and warm, and everything was prepared fresh and with care. What always strikes me is the quality of the fish. No crushed or sloppily prepared fish, but dishes that are made and presented with care. Everything looks clean, fresh, and hygienic. Additionally, the staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable. You can tell they do their best to give every customer a pleasant experience. Another big plus is the clean, tidy, and beautiful restroom, something that is unfortunately not a given everywhere these days. Furthermore, the renovation has been executed very nicely. The restaurant is spacious, has plenty of seating, and looks modern and well-maintained. This was certainly not my first visit, and definitely not my last. My experiences have been positive every time. Highly recommended for anyone who loves fresh fish and good service. What a fantastic experience! We had delicious fish at Miomar last night. The place was recently renovated and it has turned out really beautifully, with a lovely, atmospheric look. But most importantly, the fish is absolutely top-notch! Without a doubt the best fish in all of South Holland! I really recommend this place to everyone. We will definitely be back here soon!

My experience at Miomar in Rotterdam My visit to Miomar was very pleasant. The fish was perfectly seasoned and had a lot of flavor, which was immediately noticeable. The shop was neat and clean, which gave a good first impression. The owner and staff were very friendly, which made the atmosphere even more pleasant. Furthermore, the food was ready within a few minutes, which I found very efficient. The restrooms were also spotlessly clean, which I personally find very important when dining out. I've been going there for three years now for a fish dish, soup, or a delicious salad with Moroccan tea! Always welcome, always a nice chat, and the people who work there are lovely, hospitable, and the food is fantastic. I never eat fish anywhere else except at Miomar! I even had a luxury salad made for my engagement party, and it was fantastic!

What an overpriced fish restaurant! You pay €50 for two menus that you can create yourself. It's unbelievable... a small portion of fries, a small amount of chopped salad, and incredibly thin fish that consists mainly of bones and not fish. I'll never go back to this place. The owner also calls me a hypocrite, which only goes to show he's losing money. I'm very happy with Andalouse, located in the market hall. They're much friendlier there, have larger menus, and the food is delicious. And right in the city center, easily accessible.

The food was delicious! The fish was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. We came all the way from Maastricht just to eat here; I definitely recommend it!

I clearly stated I wanted 250 grams, but the product was initially set at 300 grams and then back to 270 grams. It ended up being 260 grams. For 260 grams, I should have paid €7.80 and received €2.20 back, but I received €1.50. I donated the difference to the Palestine fund there. The store was quiet, but this makes me lose faith in these kinds of businesses. The quality of the products was otherwise good.

I went here on a Tuesday lunchtime to get kibbeling (fried fish). It's freshly prepared and tasted delicious. The place is very clean and it was nice and quiet, so I was served quickly. I'll definitely be back for another portion of kibbeling :)

However, the price-quality ratio was a major disappointment. For a fish weighing just under a kilo, a salad (shared on one plate), and two drinks, we paid €70 for two people. The price of €40 per kilo is, in my opinion, excessive, especially compared to other fish restaurants that offer the same quality at a much fairer price. Furthermore, the service was downright sloppy. The waiter seemed disinterested and cleaned the table with a cloth that really smelled. When I pointed this out, I asked if I could use the spray can myself so I could clean the table. He then also used a used napkin from another table to wipe the table. That's really unacceptable; hygiene should be top-notch, especially in a restaurant. In short: good food, but overpriced and poor service. For this price, you'd expect much more attention, cleanliness, and hospitality. What a shame.

What a wonderful meal we had at fish restaurant Miomar! The fish mix was super tasty – fresh, flavoursome and perfectly prepared. The salads were fresh and you can feel and taste the flavour. You immediately notice that freshness and quality are number 1 here. Everything is prepared with care and love. The place is incredibly clean and exudes professionalism. Hygiene is clearly taken seriously here, which is immediately noticeable and gives confidence. On top of that, the service was excellent: friendly, attentive and hospitable staff who help you with a smile. To conclude, we received a beautiful Moroccan teapot with fresh ne3ne3 (mint) on the house – an original and delicious touch that made the evening complete.

We order a fish salad. It is completely filled with penny pasta of one euro, beets of one euro. further only surimi sticks. Finally there is potato salad with clearly the taste of the one you get from those commercial buckets. For fun there are 4 prawns on top of the salad. I feel ripped off by this fishmonger. When I walked in, it was incredibly busy, making the atmosphere anything but pleasant. It felt oppressive – you barely have time to look around or think about your choice, because you don't want to hold up the other customers. Everything had to be done quickly, and the frantic atmosphere almost made me feel pressured to choose something quickly. Because I don't know much about fish and it was busy inside, I had to make a quick decision. I hesitated, so the man behind the counter gave me a "recommendation." I trusted his supposedly professional advice, but it turned out I'd just been given a worthless piece of fish. Full of spines, barely any meat – mostly bone and fuss. It's truly outrageous that they're promoting this as if it's a good choice. The measly bits I managed to scrape off tasted okay, but it was totally not worth the effort. It feels to me like they're deliberately trying to give less knowledgeable customers the worst of the worst to get rid of it themselves. My advice: only buy salmon, tuna, mussels, or pre-cut fish here. Avoid whole fish and don't trust anything they try to sell you. Truly disappointing.

We ordered through Too Good To Go. The food was disappointing and not tasty. They indicated that it would contain fish, but in the end we only got a bowl of pasta. Just a scam – you think you're ordering fish, but you get something completely different. And that pasta was tasteless too.

Before I give a review (for any company) I make sure I have multiple experiences. Only then will I form a conclusion. This way I ensure that I do not give a low rating if something happens to go wrong for me. Thus...... This has actually happened several times. You're craving something tasty, order it and get something that looks like dog food. Seriously man. What kind of scandalous food is this? This has happened not once, not twice, but three times. I give up and won't order anything from here anymore. The calamari is AGAIN not properly fried, has a strange taste (oil?), oil leaks through the bag, hard pieces when you bite it (looks like sand) and it doesn't look good. Again, outrageous. Response: The delivery service has nothing to do with the condition of the calamari. Just be honest. I live 5 minutes from your location, pay for the delivery service and decide for myself whether I do so or not. Has nothing to do with laziness, I probably work harder than your employees. Just accept that you have junk delivered. Yes, maybe it is better on location, but do you see me giving a review about the food on location? Is a DELIVERY review. Junk remains junk. Just stop that arrogant behavior and apologize. That would be a better response.

Thank you What I ordered (not much), we were 2 people. 1 piece of salmon, 1 piece of tuna, some calamari and 1 scampi on a skewer. Salmon and tuna was tasty, the calamari was not fried properly. Add a little salad and 1 portion of fries. 1 fish soup. NO booze. I didn't specifically ask about the prices of the fish, because I assumed the prices would be normal for the quantity I order. Once at the cash register I am told €65. I didn't know what I heard. (Also especially because the prices of the fish are not clearly visible anywhere). Absolutely out of proportion to the amount of fish we bought. Elsewhere you pay less than half, and there too the fish does not always come close. This is a great pity, because in this way you may win €65 once, but you also lose a potential customer who would come back more often and who would recommend other people to come and eat with you. 1 tip if you would like to eat here, ask the price of everything you order in advance, otherwise you are guaranteed to be faced with surprises.

Had dinner at this restaurant for the first time this weekend with my mother. Very pleasant! This is really a step higher than the average fish shop. The fish is cooked perfectly, and you can taste the quality. Very friendly service. The owner is an extremely friendly man with a heart for the business. You can taste that too!

This was my fifth time here and again everything was great! Very good quality and polite and friendly staff. When you enter Miomar there is a long display refrigerator where all the fresh fish is displayed. You can indicate which fish and parts you want, and you can choose various fresh salads. Then you can take a seat in the spacious and clean seating area. The chef will prepare your meal, after which you can enjoy it. Recommended: Moroccan tea (with a little bit of sugar, unless of course you like it cloyingly sweet). Also a nice place for families with children.

Yet another fish shop in the largest European port city: Rotterdam. But can it compete with the dominant competition from the fishing world in Rotterdam? Just give it a try then... The place looks nice from the outside, yes it is relatively new in the fishing world and who wouldn't want that when they visit. I can only tell you the catch: the rent and renovation are included in the sales price with special margins. Anyway, not to turn it into an article, yet another case where the reviews give a too distorted picture of reality. The extractor hoods were running at full speed, but dear gentlemen from Miomar (B.V.?) a tip: you can smell old and rotten fish from a mile away when it makes contact with the grill plate. It's a shame that these very expensive fish end up like this. The price doesn't make people happy either, when I read the reviews, Miomar has more or less the same customer and visitor list as that of Nusret! Scandalous, to put it mildly. It's not worth the price, the effort and the smell. Unless you like an expensive laxative, go to Miomar. Miomar = not worth it. Walk further to the countless other fish shops and save yourself the sanitary stop.

I recently had dinner at Miomar with my family, and it was an evening we will never forget. From the moment we walked in, everything felt like a luxurious experience. Not only did the restaurant exude professionalism, but it was also spotless. The fresh smell and the neat decor immediately caught our attention and made us feel like we were in the right place for a delicious meal. As far as food goes, Miomar exceeded all expectations. We started with a nice selection of starters, including a fresh salad and grilled shrimp. The salad was perfectly balanced, with crunchy vegetables and a light dressing that highlighted the flavors. The prawns were juicy and full of flavour, with a delicious spice mix that accentuated the natural flavor of the seafood. For the main course we chose different fish dishes. I went for the grilled sea bream, while other family members enjoyed cod fillet and salmon. Everything was prepared perfectly: the fish was wonderfully juicy on the inside, with a crispy outside that provided great texture. What also stood out was the freshness of the fish – it was very clear that the products were of high quality and carefully selected. As for the service, nothing less than perfect. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. They took the time to advise us on the dishes and made us feel more than welcome. In addition, we even received free fries with our dishes, which was a nice surprise. The hygiene in the restaurant was absolutely top. Everything from the tables to the floor and even the toilets were spotless. You notice that Miomar attaches great importance to a neat and pleasant environment for its guests. All in all, this was a high-level culinary experience. I am extremely happy and satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend Miomar to anyone who likes quality fish and a nice atmosphere.
