From Schiphol to Zwijndrecht. Stopped in Leidschendam on the way to eat at Volle Maan. What an amazing restaurant this is. Curious because of the Boogaartjes from television, of course. These people are just like in the series. So accommodating, easy to talk to, and very friendly. The staff too, by the way. Had a delicious meal, and a fantastic kitchen team, chapeau! We will definitely be back. The Schnitzel XL is highly recommended, and the beef tenderloin satay... top-notch!

De Volle Maan has been a household name in Leidschendam for years and is a nice place to have lunch or dinner during a day at The Mall of the Netherlands. Don't expect fancy dishes, but simply good, tasty food at a reasonable price. What really sets this place apart for me is the location and the service. Especially in the summer, it is lovely to sit by the water. Additionally, I am always served here in a friendly, quick, and hospitable manner. They regularly ask if everything is to your liking, and both the drinks and the food are served promptly. The menu isn't very extensive, but the selection is fine, and there is something tasty for everyone. All in all, a reliable restaurant that I would gladly return to.

We spent the day in Leidschendam from Westerland. We ate at your place and it was excellent. The service was friendly and attentive. The portions were a bit too much for us, so in other words, generous portions. A lovely place to eat. A small downside is that the chairs and tables were not clean. And there were also breadcrumbs and dust on the window frames.

We ate at Volle Maan for the first time. We came from Groningen, and it was really worth it! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. We will definitely come back again!

Very generic restaurant. Unfortunately, just like in every Dutch restaurant these days, you get a piece of meat, fries, and some vegetables that nobody wants as a main course. My hamburger was raw, even though I asked for medium. When I told the bartender about this when paying, he blithely said that this problem would be solved soon because they are going to work with smashed burgers in the future! How hard can it be to cook a hamburger? Additionally, we ordered a starter which consisted of deep-fried bar snacks for €25. I expected a bit more than a standard box from the Hanos purchasing department for €7 that is just thrown into the deep fryer and put on a plate for that price. A little later, our waiter went home and there was no one to take over his shift. So, there was no more service. When I asked a waitress for a Coke and the bill, she brought two Cokes, and I never saw the bill. In other words, bad service, very average, bad food. Nothing is prepared fresh; everything is just heated up from packages. I spent €101 for 1 starter, 2 main courses, 2 Cokes, and 2 Coronas!! Fortunately, it was very pleasant with my son and the place is nice too, but… seriously, for €100 I expect tasty food and good service.

Even though it was busy, Friday lunchtime, and the weather was nice, the staff was friendly and questions were answered quickly. The Asian salad with beef tenderloin tips is highly recommended! The dishes I saw passing by on my way to other tables also looked great. I will definitely come back here again.

We had a lovely time sitting on a sunny terrace by the water; you really have a great time with them and don't get rushed at all. My sister came all the way from Utrecht "to see Kim" :) and she certainly didn't disappoint, what a nice guy!

The starters, tomato soup and carpaccio, weren't special but fine and were served super fast. The service was also very quick, and the young man asked if we wanted the main course. Well, that would take another 15/20 minutes. Fine. But to our great surprise, it was within 8 minutes. Much too fast. The schnitzel was fine. With the mixed grill, the sausage was tough and the spareribs even tougher. What a disappointment! We went to pay immediately and made it clear to the young man that we had eaten better spareribs before and that these were tough. Oh… good that you mentioned it. And then we were able to pay. He even said goodbye. Well, I don't think so!

Volle Maan is truly one of my favorite restaurants, and not just because it belongs to De Bogaartjes. Always a great atmosphere. Lovely spot by the water; the atmosphere and ambiance are perfect. The food is delicious! I go there often. But I also celebrated my birthday there.

What a disappointment. Just had a quick drink. High prices, slow service despite not being busy. Glass forgotten, mocktail three sips, glass empty, the rest was ice cubes. They charged 9 euros, which is definitely a steep price.

Just went for the first time at the full moon, and Chris helped me. I had a nice chat with other colleagues, too. There was a great atmosphere and a great sense of humor. I received excellent service and it was a fantastic evening.

November 27, 2025: A very cozy restaurant or cafe for a relaxing lunch. The chairs were comfortable. Close to the mall, but thankfully not inside. It's far too crowded there for me, and we could barely hear each other. We had a leisurely lunch here. We had various sandwiches and a few drinks (fresh mint tea and coffee). The service was reasonable. All in all, highly recommended if you're going to the mall and want a nice, cozy lunch.

Cozy, beautiful view, and the layout is peaceful, a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the mall. I have a wheat allergy, so I ate gluten-free. It was truly delicious and had a huge selection. Any questions were addressed promptly with the chef.

I visited Volle Maan in Leidschendam for breakfast and had a mixed experience. The place itself has a cozy atmosphere, and my breakfast toast was quite good — nicely prepared and enjoyable to start the day with. The service was okay: staff were generally polite and the food came out in a reasonable time. However, the cappuccino was unfortunately off. The taste wasn’t quite right, and it didn’t match the quality of the food. It was a bit disappointing, especially since a good coffee can really complete a breakfast experience. Overall, it’s a decent spot with good food and acceptable service, but there is definitely room for improvement, particularly when it comes to their coffee. I hope next time the cappuccino will be better, because the location and atmosphere have good potential.

Delicious food, good price. The service could be a bit more attentive, removing empty glasses and plates from tables where people are still seated.

Wide selection, excellent taste. Good value for money. Friendly service. Quite dimly lit in the evening.

Beautiful location and good atmosphere. However, the food is disappointing in terms of value for money. For €14.50, I expect a crispy, freshly baked pisolet. My pisolet was soft and therefore not freshly baked, but had been sitting there for a while. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it for dinner.

Charming restaurant. Friendly staff and an abundance of delicious food, and everything looks so good. The choice is enormous. Our favorite is a warm meat sandwich with peanut sauce (instead of spicy sauce) on soft rolls (instead of hard rolls). So, no problem if you want something different. This restaurant is highly recommended for a cozy drink or a delicious lunch or dinner. We've been coming here for years and will definitely be back for many more.

I've eaten and/or had drinks here several times. Always excellent! The food is good, and the atmosphere and service are also excellent. A bit dusty and spiderweb-like here and there; it could be a bit cleaner. But the atmosphere and food are excellent!
