We, two friends, had a party at Cafe Waalzicht for our 50th birthday. It was perfectly organized: the space is already very atmospheric, and we could add some decorations ourselves. With our laptop the sound worked perfectly and the snacks and drinks were all well taken care of. The space is very suitable for such a party: there is room to sit and chat, to hang out at the bar and to dance the whole evening. Because the spaces are next to each other, everyone is always together, and it immediately becomes cozy. Thanks to Danielle and Juan!

A wonderful evening out. Not the traditional evening, but today we visited the residence of Princess Danielle of the Durstige Bluumke. This café exudes atmosphere. In a beautiful location in Veur Lent. You don't have to wait for a beer, the professional staff provides fast and good service.

Good cappuccino, but it took a while (15–25 minutes) to be served. The staff is friendly and the location is very nice.

Celebrated my 30th birthday in this cafe last weekend. Danielle invited me 3 weeks before the party to discuss everything quietly. I could ask all my questions. Advantage of this café: a lot is possible! Arrangements, at your own expense; just say it.. We were allowed to decorate everything ourselves in advance; your wishes are really taken into account. Danielle is happy to think along with you. Nothing is too crazy. "It's your birthday, so you should enjoy it that evening" is Waalzicht's motto. Everyone enjoyed it, we made unforgettable memories! Last weekend, we threw a party for friends and family at Café Waalzicht. It was a very successful party, partly thanks to the good care of Danielle and Juan. They thought along well in advance, and all kinds of extras were possible, such as a pastry buffet and a dance workshop. Did both and both were a hit! I would definitely recommend this location for parties, there are a lot of possibilities.

This afternoon we held our 6-year-old son's children's party at Café Waalzicht. Daniëlla had put together a full 3-hour program and the (9) children loved it! It has been proven once again that good preparation is half the work. All activities had been carefully thought through and they flowed together very naturally. Also at the right pace: from busy to quiet and vice versa. The way in which Daniëlle enthusiastically and guided the children was also very nice. In short, we can recommend everyone to organize a children's party here.

A few weeks ago we had a party with 3 friends for our 40th birthday. It really was a fantastic evening!! Everything was well taken care of down to the last detail. Top location and nice atmosphere. Ooo what a great party my daughter had at Waalzicht (Tropicids) we were already welcomed with a red carpet and lots of fun. All the children had a great time. There was so much dancing, playing, singing with the mic at the bar, laughing and eating. Well, it was a great party. My 11-year-old daughter recently celebrated her children's party here. I hear you thinking, 'in a pub?!' Yes, that's right and what kind! The children danced, sang karaoke, played games and enjoyed it immensely! According to my daughter, it was her best party ever! Cafe Waalzicht is a super cozy place, tasty drinks, great service, tasty snacks and nice music. Top tent!

Had a fantastic party at café Waalzicht on September 30, 2023 with my girlfriend. A beautiful location (view of the Nijmegen city skyline) and a wonderful place for a snack and a drink. My boyfriend and I have been taking dance lessons with Aguanile for over a year and a half now. Last September we also threw a party in Waalzicht on the occasion of our birthdays and graduation! The party was exactly as we had hoped. Top location, a cozy atmosphere, tasty snacks and drinks, good service and the icing on the cake: A fantastic dance workshop for all our friends and family! If we want to throw a party again in the future, we will definitely come back to Waalzicht!!

On January 14, 2023 we rented the location for our party. What a beautiful location and good service. Juan was ready to help with the setup. No one was left without a drink and the employees were very friendly. Highly recommended for all your parties and celebrations.

This is a beautiful place no matter how you look at it. Inside it is cozy, outside with the view to Nijmegen it is impressively beautiful and to the north you look towards Spiegelwaal, a huge water project that will be given recreational use in the coming years. After your coffee, tea or beer you should really take a walk there

According to the website, Waalzicht would be open from 12 noon. I called just after noon to ask if we could have some lunch. A lot of sighing followed: 'I'm actually still closed, but what do you mean?' 'Oh well, I say, something small with coffee or tea, a sandwich or something.' Well, a sandwich would be fine. Around one o'clock we walk inside and I greet: 'Good afternoon, Hans (the name he introduced himself with.' Somewhat annoyed, the question follows: 'Do we know each other?'. 'Oh,' I answer, 'we know each other just spoke to each other on the phone." "I'm actually still closed," H reports again. Our message that the website does indeed say something different is followed by: "Only when the weather is nice." It is the hottest and longest summer since 1972... Yes, rain is expected this afternoon, but now the sun is still shining. We really don't feel welcome and leave the shop (which only offers some view of the Waal from a covered terrace) by muttering to each other: 'My goodness, what a huge p*ss'. In short, skip this matter, we will in any case celebrate our thirtieth anniversary somewhere else and recommend this to others as well.
