Wagamama in Burgwallen-Nieuwe Zijde

The food quality and taste is very normal, and the prices just don't match up with the quality of their food. I had teriyaki kip donburi.

I was actually looking for a sandwich, but after passing the restaurant I remembered that I had never visited Wagamama. I took the chance. I was surprised to see ramen on the menu, I did not know that served it. As a ramen fan I couldn't resist and chose the one with the tofu and mushrooms. I added a tamago and boiled chicken in combination with a small Asahi draft beer. The combination of ramen was very good, with the udon. For a kind of small bite or healthy meal in between this was what I needed. It was my break with cycling and I got the energy I needed to go back home. The fragrances were well balanced, the ingredients very fresh and everything made on the spot. I noticed the wait was longer than in a normal ramen bar, that is because it was made on the spot. The tofu was slighty fried, which gave extra depth. In price range it is average, but it is worth it. I am curious about the curry they also serve, next time I know what I will choose to eat. 4 stars for service because there was no Dutch speaking staff. Quite surprised about that. The staff was very friendly and had the proper knowledge.

This is a Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam station. I ordered ramen, but it turned out to be Vietnamese pho.

I'm a long-time fan of wagamama, so maybe my view is quite biased. Having discovered them while in the UK, I instantly fell in love with this Asian fusion restaurant and try to try them out in different countries across Europe. So I was really excited about trying them out in the Netherlands as well. The food was good as usual, but not as spicy as I would have loved. But maybe that's the Dutch standard lol. I eventually had to order chilli paste to give me that comfort. Service was exceptional as usual and it was nice to have an environment that simulated a Japanese ramen bar. The only downside was the fact that this place did not have a WC. I know it's at the Amsterdam Central station and this maybe the reason why, but it was still quite a let down.

The food was good as expected from wagamama. It was the first time I’ve been in one outside UK and I was surprise to know they charge for the curry sauce (when used to be free in the UK - not sure if has changes recently). The atmosphere was good too but the service was slow and unfriendly.

Food is as the location - pedestrian. Ambience is nice but food is a let down. Ordered baos and Ramen and I was shaking my head throughout my meal. “Rich Chicken Broth” is what the menu says but it’s as bland as water. The wait is so long you can visit Zaanse Schans and back and your food won’t be here.

The place is pretty, with large windows overlooking the estuary. The food is very well presented, but the ramen broth lacks much power. It's water with four spices. The teppanyaki noodles were definitely worth it. However, each dish costs 19 euros.

We ate there earlier today; it was very nice—super friendly service. We had some small dishes and everything was delicious.

I fancy myself as a Wagamama expert of a kind. As a professional traveller I've long depended on a cheeky Waga pit stop whilst in transit and it's done me well over the years. With that said, I know many of their dishes quite intimately and this is one of the only locations that somehow veers so far off course, it almost could be its own separate entity. In the last year the usual lot of curries I've had here bear almost no resemblance to dishes I can trust elsewhere on the road. I'm convinced they are no longer adhering to their recipes here and just effectively free-styling in the kitchen to some degree. This particular location is to be avoided unfortunately.

During the sail we enjoyed the dishes we ordered in peace and quiet.

Hmm... Koreans, think about other restaurant options. Since it's called "Gochujang Bibimbap," I thought it would have some form of bibimbap, but inside were round-cut cucumbers (...oh my god), red onions, white onions, and a ton of mayonnaise. ㅜㅜㅜ ㅠㅠ Ah... I felt bad while eating it, but since it's been a while since I had rice, I just ate it anyway... Wagama may label the dish with a Japanese title and describe it as "fusion," but when international guests order Gochujang Bibimbap expecting a taste of Korean cuisine, I worry they might feel let down. I completely understand the idea of ​​giving dishes your own creative twist, just as you do with Japanese-inspired titles, but it would be wonderful if the essence of Korean Bibimbap could still be preserved. To me, the dish felt more like a mix of vegetables than the balanced harmony that bibimbap is known for. I imagine this menu is available in other branches as well, but in this case, it might be more thoughtful to refine it further—or perhaps not include it at all—rather than risk misrepresenting such an iconic dish.

The food is absolutely amazing—this is truly one of my favorite restaurants. The chicken katsu is a must-try! The only area for improvement would be enhancing the customer service to match the quality of the food.

Pad Thai and Yaki Soba were delicious! This was our first visit to this chain, so we were a bit apprehensive, but the server was terrific. So was the good. Highly recommended.

The katsu curry rivaled that of the curry I ate in Japan for 4 years. Check it out!

The food at best is... edible. However, I think a better adjective to describe it with would be horrid. This is likely the most bland and flavourless asian food I've had in my life, perfectly adjusted to the palette of your average western european person. The waiters were okay.

We had a lovely meal, it was a nice view sitting by the window. My chosen dish was unavailable so the server kindly recommended a different one which suited my dietary needs, and it was really good! Glad I got to try something new, and it was nice that the server recognised what type of dish would be an appropriate replacement. (I didn't get a name, but he was a quieter guy with dark hair). Unfortunately it does not have a toilet, so we were very conscious of how much food/drink we should have, but that's more to do with the location!

I paid 30,000 won for oriental food. One of the staff members was racist (the system is for staff members to come to the table and take orders, but they told me to go to the counter and order. When I went to the counter, the staff member who showed me the seat told me to order from my seat, asking why I was there.)

The salad dishes and the starters we had were all excellent. The portions were generous and the taste delicious. We ate there twice, in fact, and the only disappointments were the unavailability of certain dishes as well as the service on our first visit, when the starters we had ordered and the main dish for one of us came 10-15 minutes after they'd served me my main dish. Despite this, we heartily recommend the restaurant.

A convenient spot to grab a quick bite if you're catching a train. The food is decent—not amazing, but definitely satisfying for a fast meal. Portions are on the smaller side; even my wife, who usually doesn’t eat much, finished her dish and still felt a bit hungry. That said, the taste was good, the view was nice, and overall, everything was good enough for a quick and easy meal.

I had a pleasant experience at Wagamama in Amsterdam Centraal. The Bulgogi with udon was flavorful and nicely prepared. I also appreciated the service — the manager, Sergio, was attentive and efficient. A reliable spot for a tasty meal if you're passing through.

This restaurant serves exceptional Japanese and Asian dishes. The quality of the food was superb. A special mention goes to our waiter, Rezvan, whose expertise and thoughtful guidance in selecting our meals greatly enhanced our dining experience. A significant drawback was the lack of a restroom for customers.

We visited Wagamama Centraal and had Valerio as our server! He was very attentive and accommodating. We shared our own experiences of Wagamama as we are from Toronto, and enjoyed hearing of Valerio’s experiences in Milan!

Lovely staff and service and the food was yummy. The only issue is that (compared to Wagamas elsewhere) there are very few gluten free options. I was able to choose between edamame beans and the coconut curry without risk of cross contamination. Compared to a dedicated gluten free menu at other Wagamamas. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful in advising what was safe to eat which was much appreciated and overall was a good experience, just not a huge selection of options.

Ramen was not bad but weirdly sweet? Our waitress was veryfriendly, and experience was good overall.

I always pick up, and I am always approached very friendly by the staff. But there is a person called Serge, the man with many tattoos, who works with positive energy. Always hard for the business and especially for the customer.

We ate before our train and had plenty of time. It was very quick. Only the Bao was delicious, but VERY spicy. Impossible to eat.

Ordered to go at this location and the service was really nice! Thank you Sergio for efficient and fast order and will come again!!

The food was good, two of the staff were very friendly, but one had a terrible attitude and treated customers in a way that made it hard for me to believe that this was a Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, which was different from all the restaurants I had been to in Japan. Very disappointed with the service. The food was ok, thanks to the chef. But that person hurt the chef. I really hope the owner of the restaurant can see this review, maybe that person is the owner. In the end, not recommended.

The food tastes good but one of their staff (the one with gold earrings) making me crazy. She can tell me the restaurant doesn’t have toilet directly, but she ask me to queue and wait for her colleagues to answer that question (which means I need to ask it again and waste time) 😒

If you like sweet and savory ramen, you'll like this place but me personally, I don't think ramen with miso should be sweet, and I love me some authentic ramen. I ordered the spicy version and was very disappointed. Why was it sweet? The service was very lacking. Our server came to our table twice, just to take our order and when we cashed out. I had to stare at him when we were done then he came to our table. Our drinks and food was delivered by other people. Again very disappointing!

Can’t expect anything crazy here but it’s alright. Food is true to pictures and tastes good. Forget atmosphere, it’s a train station. The fresh juices were good but I don’t recommend the pink Gin if you don’t like it sweet (there seemed to be raspberry syrup in it, tasted like bubble gum). The mochis were delicious though - especially the green tea one! But we couldn’t taste the ginger in the cheesecake.

I was there on a cozy rainy day to have a bowl of ramen. I waited almost 1hr for the lip smacking experience. Plot twist! The waiter/waitress forgot to place my order :) Left with a hollow heart and settled for another one just because my train was leaving in another hour.

Cuisine, very good dish( I had the grilled chicken ramon, fresh mint tea and a cheese cake), I give 4 stars because of the cheescake, it tasted a bit industrial, thw rest was excellent ! .. service is superb from.the entrance till the seat.. slight hitch is the area where I seated, the view is good, we can see the canal in front and by passers..but it is next to the food storage 😌 a nice curtain to hide that would give a plus 😃

I recently dined at here, and I was quite disappointed with their pet policy. Despite having a small dog in a bag, I was informed that pets are strictly prohibited inside the restaurant. It's disheartening to see such rigid policies, especially when many other establishments have become more pet-friendly. I had my ESA certification and only because of it we could enter. I understand that restaurants have to maintain hygiene standards, but a small dog in a bag, which doesn’t come in contact with anything, poses minimal risk. The lack of flexibility and accommodation was frustrating, especially since many people consider their pets as part of the family. Beyond the pet policy, the atmosphere felt somewhat unwelcoming, likely due to the strict enforcement of rules. If you have pets or are used to more inclusive establishments, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Overall, this experience left me feeling unappreciated as a customer, and I won't be returning anytime soon. Moreover, the waiting time for waiter to take an order and the getting food took longer than 1.5! Horrible!

Paid with ClassPass credit so don’t think you get the same food that’s on the menu. This was 12 credits, that’s (if paying full price) the equivalent of 36 Euro. Outrageous to unpack such a tiny, bland and tasteless excuse for ramen for that price. Speechless about the whole thing being so sad it must be a mistake. The broth tasted instant miso mixed with unmistakable sweet chilli sauce and then some spinach, a small portion of noodles and half a chicken filet with some spring onions. Zero flavour besides the sweet chilli sauce. Not sure what happened looking at the otherwise good reviews. Edit: Annoyed enough to email them and they’ve given me a complementary meal and will discuss the price/quality ratio with the classpass app. Hopefully you’ll get the normal menu quality then!

I had been looking forward to eating at the Amsterdam Wagmama for weeks before flying over from New York. As usual the food was delicious but the portion size and price was rather disappointing. It's no longer a cheap spot for dinner. And it wasn't exactly filling after that long airline flight. The fact that there is no toilet is also annoying. Next visit to Amsterdam I may be eating elsewhere.

Lovely Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam railway station. The restaurant overlooks the river and has a lovely cosy atmosphere. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Quick service and prices are at par with other restaurants in the city.

This restaurant in Amsterdam belongs to the famous Wagamama food chain. The prices are a little high although the taste and quantity of the dishes is not bad at all. There are quite a few tables inside and the service is quite fast and friendly. You can only pay by card.

Came here cause I was craving some asian food, tried this brand before in London and was pretty nice. I’m surprised this branch has one of the worst asian food I’ve ever tasted. Everything is fusioned beyond recognition, and apparently no one thought of taste testing. Service is also kinda bad, unstaffed and had to wait a long time for service and food.

We know and love Wagamama from Dubai and are enthusiastic about the food choice and especially the taste. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the taste. One dish was completely tasteless. no spices and dry. We also asked for the noodle dish only with shrimp, without chicken. That worked, but 4 small shrimps for one plate is definitely not enough for the price. We expected more. The other dish was okay but I asked if it was spicy and was told no but the dish was incredibly spicy.

“Seasonal greens” is just a fancy way of saying, here are five lonely spinach leaves. Nothing like a dish that tastes like budget cuts.

What we had was ok taste wise, but served barely luke warm, only accepts card and half the menu isn't available. One of the worst wagas I've had.

Food was fine. There is an extensive map online. Physically, more than half was taped off. Choice was very limited. To pay, go to the toilet in the station itself and hand it in at the cash register.

Great spot inside Central Station. Super convenient and surprisingly nice for a station restaurant. The food was delicious! We had the vegan curry, the vegan pad Thai, and the panko eggplant. The curry was outstanding, full of flavor, and definitely a highlight. The pad Thai was tasty too, though I would’ve loved a few more veggies in it. The panko eggplant was a solid 10/10. Service was excellent. Our server, Andrei, was incredibly friendly and efficient and made the experience really nice. Definitely a great option if you’re passing through or even just looking for a good meal in the area! Tons of vegan options.
