Very nice place with an amazing view of the train station

We wanted to grab a quick bite before our departure and were surprised by the delicious selection and good service. They also offered several vegan dishes, which we really enjoyed. You can't expect too much ambiance in a train station restaurant, but the window seats offer a great view of the harbor, and the decor is clean and pleasant.

After having lunch here yesterday I miss having a Wagamama in Brussels. I had the chicken raissukari and it was absolutely delicious. Good portion size, fresh, perfect temperature. It was mouth-watering. Good service too. I look forward to visiting Wagamama in Dublin in December!!

The food and atmosphere was perfect. We were welcomed and given good hospitality. The only thing that made me give 3 stars is that it's the only place in Europe that charged us for tap water. We were charged for each glass of tap water that we had. Plus there was no information given about this. We never assumed we will be charged for tap water.

The food tasted good overall, but unfortunately, it wasn't anything special. The portion was rather small and consisted largely of rice, while the meat and vegetables were rather sparsely portioned. I was also disappointed that the restaurant didn't have its own restroom. You have to use the public restroom in the main train station, which costs money. The waiters were friendly. Overall, the visit was okay, but for me, the price-performance ratio wasn't quite right. Therefore, 3 out of 5 stars.

Good portions before or after start a long trip in the train

Amazing food, very nice waiters and they'll happily discuss allergies/glutenfree options with you or change the plates to make them allergy-/glutenfree. Food came fast and the waiters regularly check in to see if everything is good.

A Memorable Visit at Wagama Amsterdam Central! I visited Wagama Amsterdam Central the day before yesterday, and I have to say, it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by Joëlle and her team with genuine warmth and attentiveness. Joëlle was absolutely fantastic—patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in making sure we had everything we needed. She guided us through the menu with helpful recommendations and never made us feel rushed, despite the busy train station setting. The whole team worked together seamlessly, and you could tell they truly care about their customers’ experience. The food was excellent, and the service was impeccable. But what really stood out was the personal touch that Joëlle and everyone there brought to the evening. In a transit hub where you’d expect quick, impersonal service, they reminded us that hospitality is about making people feel valued. I will always remember this visit and the exceptional team at Wagama Amsterdam Central. They’ve set a wonderful standard for what service should be. Just been served by a super nice blonde lady. I was unsure which dish to choose. She recommended the beef noodle soup because I had eaten the beef noodles before and it was her favorite too. It was really exactly what I needed. So delicious! Unfortunately, I couldn't stay seated any longer. Thanks for the great service and your really fun energy! X

My friend and I came for the reopening, and it was a fantastic time we got to have there. The food came out surprisingly fast considering what I'm used to in other Wagamamas, so that was a bonus. Everything was perfectly cooked, especially my chicken katsu curry, the chicken was insanely crispy, the rice perfect. We tried out the cherry blossom lemonade and we were absolutely blown away! Our waitress Risa was very sweet, fast and attentive with a positive attitude that made me feel so incredibly welcome here. Will recommend to everyone I meet, because it's truly a fantastic restaurant let it be if you're waiting for your bus/train, or just beginning your afternoon in Amsterdam.

Had a lovely meal at the (newly refurbished!) Wagamama at Centraal after a day in Amsterdam. I tried the new Coconut Curry Udon and my friend went for the tried and true Chicken Katsu and both were delightful. Service was quick, our server Risa made sure we got everything we needed and was very much on top of everything. She was very attentive and certainly made the visit all the more enjoyable.

I ate there earlier this year; the taste was decent, nothing special, but it's a good option for those craving Asian food in Europe! Another great thing is that the restaurant stays open very late!

We stopped at Wagamama on a whim for a quick meal. The food was good, as was the atmosphere and the view looking across the water. Credit must also go to Sandra who was warm, personable, and attentive. She really added to the lovely experience we had. Would definitely visit again in future.

Food was varied and had a lot of flavour, service was fast and they recommended us some bao's and teriyaki fried chicken; however there were no toilets and the only close toilets in the airport you had to pay and it was only admitted with coins. Recommended 7,5/10

Came to eat by myself and get out of the door for my next appointment. Got a fast service and kind staff that asked me if I needed anything.

Allergy sufferers - beware. I have a spinach intolerance and I know it’s not common but the server kindly asked as we sat down if we had any allergies so I informed him of my spinach intolerance. We ordered several food items, we queried whether one of the green coloured foods had spinach in them and non of the chefs could confirm, simply saying ‘I don’t know’. Surely they should know what ingredients are in the foods they’re making? Left me feeling uneasy

The food wasn't very good, the price-performance ratio was poor (portion sizes were off), and we ordered appetizers and main courses. The main courses arrived before the appetizers. Appetizers serve a purpose, and they didn't seem to understand that. The restaurant wasn't very busy. In short, a very bad restaurant!

This Wagamama locations doesn’t have any gluten free food other than the edamame and one butternut squash curry. We spoke to two different staff and questioned why the online menu has far more gluten free options and they just said it’s different at their location. They said none of the meats are gluten free. If you are gluten free or have coeliac disease, stay away.

Curry is great, ramen is OK but could be better.

Ordered online and received my mushroom bao buns with no mushrooms or any filling in them. I’m sure it was an honest mistake, someone simply forgot to put the fillings in, it happens. However when I tried to get a partial refund for the bao buns through the app I ordered with, my request was denied. Getting empty bao buns is like ordering a sandwich and only getting 2 slices of bread… :( Rest of my order was ok.

wagamama Amsterdam Centraal is the perfect spot for a high-quality dinner, especially if you are traveling through the station. The food (Eten) was served fresh and full of flavor—exactly the consistent quality you expect from this brand. Even though it’s a busy location, the service was fast and the staff were very organized. The atmosphere (Sfeer) is modern and energetic, making it a great place to relax and fuel up. Everything was spot on, from the ramen to the sides. Highly recommended for a reliable and delicious meal!

The waitress and waiter were very friendly. The food was very good, but be warned, the curry, which is supposed to be mild, is very spicy. We both ordered the same dish; my son was served first, and I had to wait over 15 minutes for mine. I think they forgot about it. The non-alcoholic cocktail was delicious.

We went there twice and it was a completely different experience. The food (especially the ramen) varied significantly in intensity of flavor, but was still tasty. The service was a bit slow, but nothing too bad; however, you should allow some time. For a place near Essen train station, it's still very good.

If you’re at Amsterdam Central this is the safest place to eat. Must try mixed Mushroom Bun, Tropical Cocktail, Crispy Cauliflower, Pad thai noodles. View & Vibes are good!

We've loved this chain for a long time, and whenever we see it on a trip, we always end up eating there and it never disappoints, except in this case. Out of four dishes, one was delicious, another bland (it was edible with a good splash of soy sauce), another cold, and another so skimpy on filling you couldn't even tell what it was supposed to be. It's a shame; it's as if it only shares the name with Wagamama, but not the quality.

I can only rate the food based on my previous experience as we weren't able to place our order. We were seated, but nobody bothered to came to take our order for 15 minutes, even the place was not even 25% full. It seemd they were well staffed, but simply lacked on attention. When we stood up and left they thanked us for having stayed with them. 🤔

We were grandly offered a table and then nothing more happened for 20 min - no waiter to take an order. Left and found a different place to eat.

Decent quality Asian food. It can get noisy, and it's a shame they don't have a toilet, other than that it's pretty good.

The place was nice, but the food took a long time to be served. The food was not very good; some flavors were quite bitter and it was overcooked. It was also expensive, and the quality was not good. They charged us for charging our phones, and there was no restroom in the place, so we had to use the one across the street from the venue. The only positive aspect was the waiter’s service, as he gave us recommendations on dishes. Aside from that, it left a lot to be desired.

We already knew the place, a guarantee in terms of food quality, the dishes are always super good, but here in Amsterdam I have to compliment Eddy, for his kindness and love in the service, very patient, these qualities are rare, thank you very much for the evening!

I got two starters to go which on the menu were 7€. However I ended up paying 18€?! The food was really bad, not well cooked and very small portions. The sauce for the gyoza was not at all what you would expect and I was very disappointed by the whole experience. The food was barely warm so I am extremely disappointed to have paid so much for so little.

The food was delicious and the restaurant was super cozy. The only problem was that we couldn't order through the website because it required specifying your bank details, and they only had Dutch banks listed. We then spoke to the staff, who were very kind and tried to help us. In the end, we placed our order, but we couldn't split it and had to pay for everything together. It wasn't a big deal, though. As I said, the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Hello! I visited this place while waiting for my train and was quite pleasantly surprised. Plenty of space, nice, quiet seats by the window with a great view, friendly service, and really carefully prepared, good food. I have nothing to complain about, best regards!

As a local, the location at Ams Centraal is perfect for days you dont want to overthink your meal options. Everyone's got something for them on their menu. Most dishes cost €20 but thats Ams for you. Here, for that price, you get space (hard to find!), good food and views. My friend and I stopped for a post Saturday shopping late lunch and it was not packed and a very pleasant experience. Reservations not required. I tried the Firecracker bowl. Ok, that really was spicy for me as an Indian, but a milder version would have tasted yumm.

Food was nice, more saucy than England which is nice on the donburi bowls. Service was unusual, we were tucked away in the corner so sometimes overlooked and severs took a while to get to us but drinks came quick and usual wagas quality. No toilets!!! This was a weird experience; there was a map to the nearest one, this seems to be common in Amsterdam but was quite offputting. Good view of the river and convinient location.

I had such a genuinely lovely experience, and it was entirely thanks to the people!!! Sandra, who served me, was an absolute sweetheart. She made me feel like a very special guest, not just a customer passing through. I was quite tired and not very social when I arrived, and Sandra had this incredible ability to read the room. She was warm, approachable, and checked in on me in exactly the right way, never intrusive, always kind. At the same time, the two tables next to me were very energetic and social, and she seamlessly switched gears, joking with them and making them laugh. Watching that kind of emotional intelligence in action was honestly impressive. She is deeply professional in the most human sense of the word. Drew, who took my bill, was just as wonderful. What a presence. Such great energy and charm, and again, that rare feeling of being truly seen and welcomed. He also made me feel special in a way that felt natural and sincere. I live in Amsterdam, and over the last 15 years I have lived in London, Copenhagen, Paris, and Brussels. I can say with confidence that it is rare to meet people in the service industry who are genuinely kind and clearly enjoy what they do. With Sandra and Drew, you can feel that they love their job, and that makes all the difference. I will absolutely be coming back. And honestly, it will not be for the food, but for them!!!!

The food was absolutely delicious! One of the best restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of visiting, and it's right near Vondelpark. Both the ramen and the chicken curry were highly recommended. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and visit it again. 5 stars+!

Friendly service, food was all delicious. The menu had changed since we last visited and the staff has excellent suggestions for us. No toilet, you have to go across the station to the public ones.

Just got rejected to order with my Classpass. It was such an unaccommodating behavior, almost humiliating. Not going to come ever after this to any Wagamama branch.

A lot of money for little food, and it tastes bland. There's no toilet; you have to queue at Sanifair for €1.10 at Central Station. The staff only speaks English.

Ordered ramen, it was very undercooked, all i could taste was starch. NOT worth the price and it's funny how they don't accept cash considering it's in the central station.

Food as always is good. Same taste as back home in the UK. Unfortunately the service was awful. Good smiley face at the start from one of the waitress but then I asked for an extra teriyaki sauce from another waitress and she completely forgot to serve it. Tried many times to attract the many serving staff but no one was making eye contact even though they're not busy (place is barely half full). As the kitchen was next to our table, I went round and requested the extra sauce from the cook (my food was getting cold. I couldn't eat it as it was a bit dry without the sauce). But then the 3rd waitress told me off for speaking to the cook and said rudely "you should have told me" and I said "I did tell one of you but she totally forgot about it." Not the same friendly staff I meet back in the UK or in Wagamama Copenhagen.

The vegetarian Pad Thai was good, although I would have added more tamarind. The place was lovely, quiet, and comfortable. The service was excellent.

I walked in to eat on November 28th, 2025 at about 7:30pm. The atmosphere was very inviting, calm and demure. The person who attended to me was Sandra by name. She was so polite, kind, very friendly and exceptional in her service. And the food?....AMAZING.👏🤩 a 10/10 experience. I enjoyed it.

This is a pathetic restaurant with really worse service Today in the afternoon went to have a meal and ordered vegatsu curry(vegan) The staff provided me chicken katsu curry instead Since i dont eat chicken and havent eaten chicken my life When i was eating it felt a bit strange but since vegan fake meat also pretty much tastes the same I ate it,when i went to pay the bill the cashier tells me that it was chicken katsu curry I got the shock of my life when i heard this This is the customer service Any vegans and vegetarians in general anyone should avoid this place you will be served the wrong food and might end up in hospital due to this. I would give it a big zero This location should shut down

The food quality and taste is very normal, and the prices just don't match up with the quality of their food. I had teriyaki kip donburi.

I was actually looking for a sandwich, but after passing the restaurant I remembered that I had never visited Wagamama. I took the chance. I was surprised to see ramen on the menu, I did not know that served it. As a ramen fan I couldn't resist and chose the one with the tofu and mushrooms. I added a tamago and boiled chicken in combination with a small Asahi draft beer. The combination of ramen was very good, with the udon. For a kind of small bite or healthy meal in between this was what I needed. It was my break with cycling and I got the energy I needed to go back home. The fragrances were well balanced, the ingredients very fresh and everything made on the spot. I noticed the wait was longer than in a normal ramen bar, that is because it was made on the spot. The tofu was slighty fried, which gave extra depth. In price range it is average, but it is worth it. I am curious about the curry they also serve, next time I know what I will choose to eat. 4 stars for service because there was no Dutch speaking staff. Quite surprised about that. The staff was very friendly and had the proper knowledge.

I'm a long-time fan of wagamama, so maybe my view is quite biased. Having discovered them while in the UK, I instantly fell in love with this Asian fusion restaurant and try to try them out in different countries across Europe. So I was really excited about trying them out in the Netherlands as well. The food was good as usual, but not as spicy as I would have loved. But maybe that's the Dutch standard lol. I eventually had to order chilli paste to give me that comfort. Service was exceptional as usual and it was nice to have an environment that simulated a Japanese ramen bar. The only downside was the fact that this place did not have a WC. I know it's at the Amsterdam Central station and this maybe the reason why, but it was still quite a let down.

The food was good as expected from wagamama. It was the first time I’ve been in one outside UK and I was surprise to know they charge for the curry sauce (when used to be free in the UK - not sure if has changes recently). The atmosphere was good too but the service was slow and unfriendly.

Food is as the location - pedestrian. Ambience is nice but food is a let down. Ordered baos and Ramen and I was shaking my head throughout my meal. “Rich Chicken Broth” is what the menu says but it’s as bland as water. The wait is so long you can visit Zaanse Schans and back and your food won’t be here.

The place is pretty, with large windows overlooking the estuary. The food is very well presented, but the ramen broth lacks much power. It's water with four spices. The teppanyaki noodles were definitely worth it. However, each dish costs 19 euros.
