Cozy tent, wood stove on, nicely decorated, friendly staff.

We went for a cup of coffee. The decor was surprisingly nice. It was nice and warm sitting by the wood stove with a cup of coffee. The service was also very friendly. If we ever find ourselves in Harderwijk again, we'll definitely go back.

We had a wonderfully relaxing afternoon at Walhalla today. The burger and nachos were delicious. Absolutely fantastic and friendly service!

I don't say it often, but everything here is just perfect! The atmosphere is cozy, the service is friendly and attentive, and on top of that, the food is not only fantastic, but the menu is so diverse that there really is something for everyone. Meat, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free! They've really thought of everything! Huge compliments. We'll definitely be back!

A great place for a delicious lunch or dinner with good company. Less suitable for fine dining, but perfect for a cozy beach atmosphere. Friendly staff, delicious lunch, and a nice breath of fresh air on the beach (October 2025). Definitely worth a visit again👍

We had our party at Walhalla. The discussions went very smoothly; they were very helpful and offered options. Ultimately, Walhalla did everything exactly as we agreed. It was beautifully decorated, the staff was friendly, and we could easily drop off and pick up our belongings. It was absolutely fantastic, and I highly recommend everyone to celebrate their party here.

A very nice place to enjoy the sunset in the evening while dining or sipping a glass of wine. The service is excellent and the guests are very attentive. Definitely worth a visit, especially in the evening.

Visited today with my daughter. I ordered a watermelon salad — unfortunately, the watermelon was not fresh: slimy and sour. After that, I’ve been feeling unwell all day (nausea and vomiting). Very disappointing experience. On the positive side, the coffee was good and the French fries were tasty. Service was fine, but the salad left a very bad impression overall.

Just relax with your feet in the sand and a beer in your hand. No frills, but that's precisely why it's a gem.

Even though the entire interior was reserved but still completely empty, they were unable to provide the five of us with drinks for 20 minutes.

This is a great place to enjoy a meal or a drink if you're heading to the water with family or other guests. From the outside, it looks a bit old and not very inviting, in my personal opinion. But given the location and the waterfront, I understand that. The interior is quite interesting, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

I wanted to organize a family day here on a budget. The team was incredibly helpful in finding the best options. Walhalla is our favorite spot in Harderwijk, with its great atmosphere and beautiful location.

You can't sit inside at all if you're wheelchair-bound... a small ramp would have sufficed. Now you're forced to sit outside.

After an afternoon on the adjacent beach, I grabbed a bar stool here. A bustling and cozy beach bar that feels like Ibiza. Delicious Aperol Spritz. Friendly and fast service despite the crowds.

Sat on the beach wonderfully. What I found a problem with the beach is that it is completely inhabited by geese. The problem with geese is that they shit a lot. The beach is full of them.

Excellent service, a wonderful atmosphere, a feel-good oasis, the view of the water is simply breathtaking, and of course the amazing cocktails too. I can only recommend it.

Nice spot on the beach of Harderwijk

Just imagine: Sailing over the Wolder Wijd, mooring at the jetty at Walhalla, sitting down on the terrace and enjoying everything Walhalla has to offer.... And to top it all off: watching the sun set in the 'sea' from the wonderful terrace!

Highly disappointing! The location is amazing and offers beautiful views, but the cocktails were an utter failure. First came the weirdly tasting Aperol spritz and Walhalla special, followed by cava sangria, which was even more awful — odd flavour, only two slices of cucumber, no other fruit, and half a jar of ice. This could not possibly have cost €27! I really hope it improves; otherwise it's such a shame, it could be a really nice place!

We only had drinks. The staff was very friendly. The cocktails were well mixed!

Walhalla is not what it used to be. The vibrant hippie vibe has disappeared, leaving it feeling like a mediocre bier kroeg focused solely on cutting costs. The staff seems inexperienced, the cocktails lack flavor (with too much ice), and the finger food is uninspired. Only the location saves the place. I would strongly recommend the new owner to take a look at what bars in Zandvoort are doing for inspiration on menu and drink offerings.

Een prachtige plek aan het strand in Harderwijk. Met de voeten in het zand gezellig een drankje drinken. Wij waren hier rond de middag, maar kan me inbeelden dat het er 's avonds nog gezelliger is met de lampjes die branden.

It's wonderful to sit in the garden or on the terrace with a beautiful view of the sea, and if you hold out and you're blessed with a beautifully clear sky, you're guaranteed a romantic moment with the sunset

Valhalla is great, sitting comfortably, reading a book, hanging Harry, kids in the water, what more could you want!

We were there on a beautiful weekday. If you come at 11:30 a.m., you won't have any problems finding a seat. We were there for a few hours, had coffee, had lunch and the kids were on the beach. Very nice waitress and fair prices.

Direkt am Wasser gelegen kann man hier gemütlich sitzen. Es läuft Musik und man kann etwas essen. Die Sandwich sahen gut aus. Wir hatten eine gemischte Portion Frittiertes (diese war ok) und Nachos. Preislich ok. Sicherlich eine gute Adresse in Hardwijk.

Located right on the water, you can sit comfortably here. There is music playing and you can eat something. The sandwiches looked good. We had a mixed portion of fried food (this was ok) and nachos. Price ok. Certainly a good address in Hardwijk.

Sehr leckere Broodjes - auch gluten- und weizenfrei! Nettes Personal. Sympathische Location direkt am Strand. Ein kleiner Abzug, weil das glutenfreie Broodjes deutlich kleiner war als das normale.

Nice place, good atmosphere, nice staff. snacks and bread were tasty, but we didn't like the real food from the dinner menu at all! Hopefully it was bad luck twice already...

It was a rainy day and the outside was therefore not really inviting at first to have something to eat there. The restaurant is made from some old shipping containers, unfortunately the beach was a mud puddle that day. Inside it looks like a thrift store, everything vintage but still quite cozy. Lunch was really surprising, rarely had such a tasty sandwich with roasted chicken pieces. So feel free to give it a try.

Nice place with a beautiful view over the water. Enjoy a good capuccino with your feet in the sand. I thought it was a shame that they don't serve iced coffee. That's what I always look forward to when I'm sitting on a (city) beach in the sun; I often find it too hot for hot coffee. Otherwise great!

Super nice decor! But unfortunately the music that is way too loud ruins it. The volume does not match the relaxed atmosphere at all. What a letdown. What a missed opportunity.

What a nice tent. Totally vintage style. And the coffee and cake we came for was perfectly fine. By that I mean a really good cappuccino. We picked up stories from the 60's during our visit. Top!

We walked there today through the rain, @ 7.30 pm on Sunday with 5 tables still occupied, we were shown the door... bizarre! Win indicated that he only wanted something to drink. Fortunately, the butter rag was kind and we were able to sit there until 10.30 pm! (Even at 10:20 PM, 6 new people came for a drink, isn't that how it should be?)

Mustard soup was too sweet. Maybe inspired by honey mustard sauce, but in the soup it was a disturbance. Basic furnishings, beach tent style. Not great. Friendly service.

Selbst bei strömenden Regen ist die Atmosphäre Mega und urig. Richtig Old School die Einrichtung. Der Salat mit dem warmen Brie ist Hammer. Das Bier Lowlander 0,0 wit muss man auch probieren. Ist fast eine Citrusschorle. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Zum Strand kann ich nichts sagen, sind wir zu schnell vorbei gerannt. Es hat geschüttet. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt

We kwamen om 16u en konden nog steeds uitgebreide lunch bestellen ondanks dat ze om 16u normaal geen lunch meer serveren. Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit verhouding en zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Zit op een mooie locatie vlak aan een strandje. Met qr code je drinken of hapje bestellen is ideaal. Je hebt gelijk betaald, dus als je weg wilt hoef je niet nog eens te wachten op af te rekenen.

Super gezellige plek met lekker eten. Je krijgt een erg ruime portie uienringen. Deze zijn dan ook zeker aan te raden!

Meneer met de steunkous had vandaag niet zn beste dag volgens mij. Jammer dat je afgesnauwd wordt op een terras door een medewerker die vast niet zn beste dag had.. Voorlopig even geen walhalla meer. Of eerst kijken wie er aan het werk is😉

Hele mooie locatie. Helaas zijn de mensen van de bediening niet erg vriendelijk en lijkt alles veel moeite te kosten (bijv,. het openen van een parasol). Jammer dat de muziek meestal op vol volume aanstaat. Het eten (In ons geval de broodjes) is heerlijk!

Na een mindere ervaring is het goed opgelost door de eigenaar en het personeel. Servicegerichte horeca.

Leuke ambiance. Prijzig, maar de locatie is top.
