A fantastic location! Especially great for cyclists who want to grab a quick drink/sundowner after a (long) day trip. We did this every evening and the service was always excellent, very fast, and friendly. It's also very cozy inside, but we always sat outside and enjoyed the sunset. :-) It's even busier on weekends, but it's also possible that they'll be hosting private events. :-)

A lovely spot to sit along the water and the boulevard in Harderwijk. The place is very popular; today, too, it was a matter of luck to secure a nice spot. The staff is attentive and hardworking, doing everything they can to make you feel comfortable.

At the small beach in Harderwijk

Stunning setting, with views across the beach and water. Staff were friendly, but service a little on the sloppy side - my sandwich was plonked down and my four year old was showered with salad leaves as it arrived. The bar snacks were absolutely adequate, and filled a hole. I could quite easily imagine spending all evening sat enjoying the view and setting sun with a few beers.

A lovely atmosphere right on the beach, with your feet in the sand. A truly pleasant setting! The service was quick and the portions were generous. The only slight drawback: the peanut sauce was poured directly onto the chicken, even though the children didn't want it. It might be better to serve the sauce separately so everyone can choose whether or not to add it. Overall, a great experience in a very friendly setting.

Every time we sit here, we get a holiday feeling. Even outside the summer months. It is a low-key, fun, and accessible place with tasty food and nice drinks. So far, the staff have always been nice people who try their best!

Had a delicious lunch at Walhalla today. We both had the goat cheese salad, and it tasted delicious. The service was friendly. It is a pleasant place to sit both inside and outside.

We had a table reservation, but when we arrived, we could choose our own seat. When the server came, we had to ask them to wipe the table and remove a used fork. The food itself was just okay, but we had to practically force our way to the table to order it. The staff were friendly. The location right on the beach with a view of the water is unbeatable. Next time, we'd happily have a drink there, but eat somewhere else.

Went there Monday evening...nice place. Friendly staff. But the food was definitely substandard for the price. Ordered the satay twice; the menu listed it with vegetables and cassava, but it wasn't included...mentioned it, and they said it would be sorted out...after half an hour it still hadn't arrived, and by then the satay and fries were gone.... After asking 3 times, we said we didn't want it anymore...it turned out the vegetables were "out of stock," and we were supposed to get something else...cassava was gone too!! The staff there are "overworked," they said. I paid what I was willing to pay, but we won't be coming back. The table next to us with 6 people wanted schnitzels....there was only 1 left😂. So satay it was....curious if these people actually got vegetables with it🤨

What a disappointment. Ordered a glass of wine, but there was only a tiny bit left at the bottom. Barbecued snacks with the cheapest bites, and that for 17 euros! No, definitely not worth repeating.

A nice place to relax on the beach and have a drink, but less suitable for eating. With both the schnitzel and the chicken salad, the meat looked like it had been fried yesterday: dry and tough.

Cozy restaurant and bar on the beach in Harderwijk. A toilet is also available, accessible only via stairs. The staff is friendly and certainly service-oriented towards the customers! You can sit inside or outside on the terrace to enjoy delicious food and drinks there. There is a beach on the Veluwe Lake, which is a special feature of the location. There are also opportunities for boat trips and city walks.

Beautiful location but quite pricey

We spontaneously decided to visit this lovely restaurant this afternoon. The food was good, but unfortunately too spicy for my daughter. Nevertheless, she did manage to find something she liked. We sat outside and received very friendly and prompt service. The view across the beach to the sea is amazing. Unfortunately, the beach is extremely dirty, and consequently, so is the sea 😔.

Quite a nice place. Unfortunately, a simple dinner for 10 people took more than 75 minutes. Without proactive communication. So, unfortunately, never again.

Came here on the recommendation of friends who had also stayed around the corner with their boat. It's a shame it was so incredibly hot when we arrived, which meant I had absolutely no appetite. But applause for the staff who kept running around as if nothing was wrong. It feels like you're sitting by the sea on the beach from every angle. A top-notch place I'll definitely come back to when the weather is a bit more normal and nice 😎

A definite recommendation at the city beach! Great restaurant with a cool atmosphere. The Walhalla Burger (with Black Angus beef, mushrooms, and melted cheese) was a real highlight – juicy and incredibly delicious, just like the fries. The non-alcoholic mojito was also excellent and perfect for a warm day. The staff were consistently very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area!

Beach, drinks, BBQ, DJ. Ideal spot for a summer day. One tip: the containers with cocktail and garlic sauce are way too big at the BBQ. It's a shame that this has to be thrown away.

During our visit, the restaurant was certainly a lovely place to sit on the terrace on a sunny afternoon with the family. The atmosphere outside was relaxed, and in our case, the service was simply well organized. However, I was a bit shocked by the prices of some of the drinks and snack options. Of course, inflation plays a role everywhere these days, but we found the prices of the bitterballen (meatballs) and cocktail mix, for example, to be very high, which is why we ultimately decided against them. In the end, we went for the nacho bowl, and honestly, it was highly recommended. The homemade iced tea was also very tasty, although it was a bit pricey as well. Another thing that stood out was that there are many young employees working there. Of course, that doesn't have to be a problem at all, but I can imagine that during busy periods or with cocktails and more complex dishes, it could sometimes come at the expense of speed or accuracy. With a little more guidance or management, things would probably run much better. All in all, still a pleasant experience, especially for a relaxed afternoon on the terrace around three o'clock.

Super nice place, delicious food, and amazing staff! We were extra spoiled when they heard we were having a party. Especially Charlotte, who came over to our table in a very friendly way and made sure we didn't have to wait long for anything. All in all, top-notch service and highly recommended!!!

Dried fish, poor service (they refused to take my order, it was someone else, but they didn't say who it was, walked away immediately without saying who that colleague was). Complained about the service at the checkout when paying, but received hardly any response.

It is a nice spot, but the price-quality ratio is really substandard. Ordered a luxury charcuterie board for 3 people, 11.50 pp, 34.50 total. For this, you get 6 slices of cold cuts, 4 slices of baguette, a few olives, 2 dips, and 2 slices of beef sausage. Additionally, the Aperol Spritz tastes like water.

The previous guests' plates and cups were still on the table when our drinks were brought. The drinks were placed down first, while the cups were being cleared. We sat down to drink with the previous guests' plates still on the table. The plates were cleared later. When we had finished our drinks and asked where our pastries were, we were asked. We had finished our drinks when the pastries were brought. The whipped cream had collapsed. I therefore suspect that it had already been prepared but not served. The staff walked past the plates with empty hands, so they didn't take anything. Our experience regarding the service is therefore negative.

We had the Easter lunch The table we sat at was illogically arranged; you could barely get up to get food from the bar. It was, after all, a self-service buffet. The music did not suit the occasion/atmosphere. The employee with the large head of hair was not wearing a hairnet while serving the food. There was little choice in the food; no separate plates with cheese and cold cuts, for example. The egg was extremely watery. The tomato soup was delicious, and the salmon salad was also good. Beautiful location, nicely decorated.

I called to ask if i can make reservation , but she said they are fully booked, and i should look for a different restaurant While i went online i was able to make a reservation for TODAY I went there at 20 pm it was empty…. Makes me wonder is it because i spoke English?

We went for a cup of coffee. The decor was surprisingly nice. It was nice and warm sitting by the wood stove with a cup of coffee. The service was also very friendly. If we ever find ourselves in Harderwijk again, we'll definitely go back.

I don't say it often, but everything here is just perfect! The atmosphere is cozy, the service is friendly and attentive, and on top of that, the food is not only fantastic, but the menu is so diverse that there really is something for everyone. Meat, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free! They've really thought of everything! Huge compliments. We'll definitely be back!

We had our party at Walhalla. The discussions went very smoothly; they were very helpful and offered options. Ultimately, Walhalla did everything exactly as we agreed. It was beautifully decorated, the staff was friendly, and we could easily drop off and pick up our belongings. It was absolutely fantastic, and I highly recommend everyone to celebrate their party here.

Visited today with my daughter. I ordered a watermelon salad — unfortunately, the watermelon was not fresh: slimy and sour. After that, I’ve been feeling unwell all day (nausea and vomiting). Very disappointing experience. On the positive side, the coffee was good and the French fries were tasty. Service was fine, but the salad left a very bad impression overall.

This is a great place to enjoy a meal or a drink if you're heading to the water with family or other guests. From the outside, it looks a bit old and not very inviting, in my personal opinion. But given the location and the waterfront, I understand that. The interior is quite interesting, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

I wanted to organize a family day here on a budget. The team was incredibly helpful in finding the best options. Walhalla is our favorite spot in Harderwijk, with its great atmosphere and beautiful location.

You can't sit inside at all if you're wheelchair-bound... a small ramp would have sufficed. Now you're forced to sit outside.

After an afternoon on the adjacent beach, I grabbed a bar stool here. A bustling and cozy beach bar that feels like Ibiza. Delicious Aperol Spritz. Friendly and fast service despite the crowds.

Sat on the beach wonderfully. What I found a problem with the beach is that it is completely inhabited by geese. The problem with geese is that they shit a lot. The beach is full of them.

Nice spot on the beach of Harderwijk

Just imagine: Sailing over the Wolder Wijd, mooring at the jetty at Walhalla, sitting down on the terrace and enjoying everything Walhalla has to offer.... And to top it all off: watching the sun set in the 'sea' from the wonderful terrace!

Highly disappointing! The location is amazing and offers beautiful views, but the cocktails were an utter failure. First came the weirdly tasting Aperol spritz and Walhalla special, followed by cava sangria, which was even more awful — odd flavour, only two slices of cucumber, no other fruit, and half a jar of ice. This could not possibly have cost €27! I really hope it improves; otherwise it's such a shame, it could be a really nice place!

Walhalla is not what it used to be. The vibrant hippie vibe has disappeared, leaving it feeling like a mediocre bier kroeg focused solely on cutting costs. The staff seems inexperienced, the cocktails lack flavor (with too much ice), and the finger food is uninspired. Only the location saves the place. I would strongly recommend the new owner to take a look at what bars in Zandvoort are doing for inspiration on menu and drink offerings.
