A bit busy, yet prompt and friendly service!

Cozy terrace, very friendly staff, delicious pastries, beautiful surroundings, definitely worth a visit.

Back at Peerkesbosch after 39 years. We stayed there back then, but that is no longer possible. Large terrace with friendly staff and the food was delicious. We will definitely come back again, and soon you will be able to hear the red deer rutting on the terrace.

Nice place. I enjoyed coffee and pie outside on a beautiful terrace. My walking buddy had a fried egg sandwich, and it looked very good and tasted great too.

We had a delicious gluten-free meal. Gluten-free down to the last detail: bread roll with the starter, fries, sauces, crumbles with dessert, a bonbon instead of a cookie with the tea. We will definitely be back!

Gift for friends who had been married for 25 years. We had made a reservation to enjoy a nice lunch together, just the four of us. We were able to mention during the reservation if we had any specific requests; we had just stated that they had been married for 25 years. The food was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and very attentive. We wanted for nothing. They even sang for the couple while we ate, which was very sweet. Thanks for the great service, we'll be back soon!

Had coffee with a treat and then a mint tea. The dogs also got a cookie and water. We were able to have a nice chat. It was quite busy, but luckily we were able to sit in a quieter spot.

The tables inside are very close together. I find them too close, just uncomfortable in your comfort zone.

A wonderfully beautiful place to rest after hiking or cycling. The chickens roam freely... amazing. A nice menu with tasty beers and wines. There is also a huge selection for drinks. Of course, there is also a lunch and dinner menu.

Very cozy and nice restaurant! Lovely atmosphere inside, nicely decorated, and very friendly staff too! We had dinner here in the evening with four people. We didn't have to wait long for the food, but it wasn't served too quickly either. A recommended starter: the North Sea Trio! If you like fish, this is really delicious 😋

It was very busy on Sunday afternoon, so we had to wait a very long time for the food. This was clearly indicated, though.

We had a drink and ordered lunch. It was 34° and we asked for water... "Spa Blue or Spa Red?", we were asked next. We couldn't get tap water! I think the Dutch hospitality industry really needs to change that. At these temperatures, you just can't stop serving water!!

My boyfriend and I had picked out this nice spot for a lovely lunch. Beautiful terrace and lovely surroundings, and also a delicious menu. Once there, we picked out a table. It took 15 minutes to be served to order drinks. After a while, we wanted to order some food; after making eye contact for a long time, we finally found someone we could order from. The boy had to get a colleague for something like a simple children's menu. Barely 15 minutes later, we saw the same boy helping other tables with ordering and/or settling the bill. At one point, our patience ran out, and while settling the bill at this same table, we made sure to let them know that if you promise something, you have to keep your word. The boy said, and I quote, "Oh, I forgot that, sorry." What terrible service!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't fit the beautiful location and surroundings.

Peerkesbosch lies deeply hidden among the trees and the woods, at the end of a crunching gravel path that briefly leads you to believe that only lost hikers and insiders come here. Nothing could be further from the truth. On this busy day, guests find the old farmhouse effortlessly, and although the terrace isn't completely full, our waitress is sometimes playing catch-up. The surroundings make up for a lot. Around the farmhouse, it smells of forest floor, wood, and warm leaves, while the animals pay little attention to the hospitality business surrounding them. A chicken ambles undisturbed past our table, as if she has come to check what is emerging from the kitchen. Meanwhile, the menu features a bit of everything. This makes choosing easy for groups with diverse preferences, although the coherence is hard to discern. The menu feels less like a single well-thought-out story than like a well-stocked cupboard containing something familiar for everyone. Ultimately, we have a fine meal, without major surprises but also without any real misses. With the main courses, a single shared bowl of fries appears on the table—a nice idea as long as no one has to calculate exactly how many fries they are entitled to. After all, the quantity hardly seems to fluctuate with the number of dishes ordered. Peerkesbosch impresses primarily through its location, the farmhouse, and the pleasant feeling of having briefly disappeared deep into the forest. The kitchen does what it is supposed to do, but on busy days, the service and organization cannot quite keep up with the pace of the incoming guests.

Last week, we celebrated our parents' (and in-laws') 65th wedding anniversary here with a large group. It was an incredibly hot day. With a group of people over 80, we didn't know what to do, but Peerkesbosch came up with a great solution: we were allowed to spend time with the entire group in the beautiful, air-conditioned Boschhuis. Super! We enjoyed a delicious dinner there. The service was prompt and friendly. Thank you all for making it such a successful party.

Real hospitality stars here! Despite the heat and the huge crowds on the terrace, the team remained calm, alert, and caring. Everyone received plenty of attention and the service ran very smoothly. We had a very lovely evening with a (family) group of 13 people. We were still able to sit in the super atmospheric and cozy conservatory, which was greatly appreciated! The food was great and the service was excellent! Our waiter Joost provided that little extra something that left a very positive impression on all of us. Thank you, Joost!!

We actually ended up here by accident because our first choice didn't accept reservations. A long weekend in Weert brought us to Peerkesbosch for a cup of coffee and Limburg flan. They have much more on offer, but we didn't make use of that. The flan was delicious and the coffee very good. When you show up with 11 people and the tables are immediately moved to create a spot outside, you can certainly call the service "Top-notch." And fair is fair (we are Dutch, after all), the price turned out to be a hundred percent reasonable. Highly recommended!!!!

Lovely restaurant and bar right in the middle of the forest. Easily accessible by car. Old-style farmhouse with a large outdoor terrace. Very quietly situated along cycling routes. Play areas for children and a few animals all around. Good menu with something for everyone.

Last week I went to Peerkesbos with the dogs. They are very dog-friendly. Great menu and delicious food. The service was also very friendly and attentive. Everything is spotless there and looks absolutely perfect. Not a single weed on the terrace. In one word: amazing. Afterwards, we went for a beautiful walk. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a delicious meal there. The ribeye was cooked perfectly 👌🏼 And the service was perfect too! We go there regularly and will certainly continue to do so.

A really lovely spot by the woods; despite the crowds, a cozy atmosphere, delicious and affordable food, and very friendly staff – also to the dogs, which I personally find very important. Definitely recommended, even if you don't want to go for a walk. And the interior looked beautiful too. Close to the motorway, so what more could you ask for? 😊

Beautifully situated in nature, lovely terrace, efficient service, nice people

During the Easter lunch with a large group, we noticed that the staff started getting nervous after about an hour and a half. It turned out that our table had been booked again. A little later, we were informed by staff that we could stay for another half hour because another table had left earlier. Naturally, you go for lunch to be able to sit and talk in peace. Or this should have been communicated more clearly beforehand. The food is delicious, by the way. There is certainly still room for improvement with the waitresses.

Enjoyed ourselves on the lovely sunny terrace on Easter Monday. It is a real shame, though, that you cannot get tap water after coffee and pie with your wine. You can get Spa Red or Blue, though. At most places that isn't a problem, so it is quite a downside at Peerkesbosch!

We had reserved for lunch at 11:30. To our surprise, there was a sign on the table saying "Reserved until 1:15 PM." The service was very rushed. They were really rushing us. They were frantically arranging another table for the people who were actually supposed to sit at our table after us. At 1:30, we were told that we could stay seated for another fifteen minutes. This experience is therefore not worth repeating. We wanted to eat at our leisure and then linger after the meal. Just indicate when making a reservation that there is a time limit.

The food was fine, but the service was quite poor. We were constantly rushed, and they really wanted us gone by 1:15 PM. It's not a pleasant feeling when you come to eat for peace and quiet. Inform guests in advance that they need to leave by a certain time or manage your schedule better.

Nice hospitable restaurant with reasonable prices

After lunch today, I ordered a delicious cup of coffee and pie. The waitress said it was fresh pie. However, you could taste it immediately after the first bite; this pie was at least from yesterday. I mentioned this when I went to pay, and the waitress said, "Oh yeah, there were still some older pieces." Too bad!

The outdoor seating area is absolutely lovely, especially when the sun is shining! Plus, the food is both good and reasonably priced.

We had reservations for eight people. It's a charmingly decorated farmhouse with plenty of seating, a large outdoor patio, a covered terrace (indoors with wood-burning stoves behind glass), a trampoline, and of course, right in the heart of beautiful hiking trails. We'll definitely be back in the summer. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent!

Hardworking people, great company. Nice restaurant, too bad there are too many tables in the new interior. The interior is nicely renovated but could be improved so you don't sit in a row like in a waiting room on a platform in the front area. Even after making a reservation, you can't always be sure you'll be assigned a preferred table. That's a bit of a drawback. The food is excellent, the menu is varied.

Peerkesbosch: highly recommended. I dined here this week, in a completely new setting and with a completely new menu. The decor is inviting and warm, and the menu has something for everyone. Outside, there's a large terrace with a panoramic view. In a party of four, I saw four different dishes and sampled each one. Every single one was delicious. The plates were beautifully presented, and from the meat, fish, and pasta to the sauces and side dishes, everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. Excellent quality at a good price in a beautiful location. Highly recommended for dinner. P.S.: Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of this wonderful evening.

Terribly poor service! We made a reservation well in advance and didn't get the spot we reserved. We had to wait half an hour for drinks and an hour and a half for our appetizer. Then the main course arrived within 5 minutes. Not child-friendly, and they didn't even consider us. Not suitable for groups larger than 8 people, due to the limited space and the kitchen/staff, who can't handle it. All in all, the food was fine. But that's not how you want to be treated when dining out: incredibly poor service!

We had a lunch reservation for 12 people outside and had to sit inside. We waited an hour for our food. The food was very good, but the service was lacking. We couldn't order a second drink due to the lack of service. A very unpleasant experience.
