Had a delicious salad for lunch with friends. It was pleasantly busy.

The atmosphere is cozy and the food is delicious. So, top-notch.

We had a delicious meal together. Highly recommended. And compliments to the staff. The spareribs were so tasty that I had already finished them before I could take a picture. Ignore Wibo's review. Because if you look at his profile, he only posts bad reviews.

A glorified pub! For a four-course dinner, the time between courses was WAY too long. The quality of the intermediate course was substandard, and the main course and dessert were shamefully bad.

Had a delicious lunch. I ate a ciabatta with wild mushrooms. Otherwise, a cozy, relaxed place to sit.

Lunch with fish: a thick slice of brown bread topped with a watery mush of tuna salad mixed with all sorts of things, then another thick slice of brown bread, followed by a soggy form of tasteless salmon, and then another thick slice of brown bread. There was some onion, lettuce, and tomato on top. I believe less is more; ensure that the main ingredients (tuna and salmon) remain separate and use flavorful and fresh products. Don't mix all sorts of things in, because that spoils the taste. I have had lunch here before, and that was better. Also, the reception on the terrace between the tables with dining guests was so chaotic and busy, which was not conducive to the restaurant we came for. The service and the staff's demeanor were fine.

We went out to eat with a group of people. After soup (for one person), we had to wait an hour for the main course, which never arrived. Upon inquiry, they said there had been a mistake in the kitchen. We then had to wait another 20 minutes and were given some flimsy excuse. The taco burger was raw inside, and we had to send it back. Young staff blaming the guest. This is absolutely unacceptable!!! We received very little respect from the staff. We couldn't split the bill by three, and were asked to request a refund from each other via Tikkie. Any hospitality establishment can split the bill. No, as neighbors, I won't be recommending Guulke for the time being. Sorry, but I need to be convinced that the staff treats guests more respectfully. So, no Guulke for now.

What a lovely terrace for lunch. Delicious sandwiches, well-filled, and quality products. The staff is polite but not very warm.

Well, what can I say about this? We (5 people) hadn't made a reservation and were fortunately assigned a fine round table. Then you go to order; drinks were no problem, then the main course. A reasonable selection, but imagine the surprise that you have to order fries separately, for example! We all found the food to be decent. And then comes settling the bill! Here, this is only possible with one joint bill! Since we happened to run into each other that very day, it became quite a puzzle to pay for everything in cash, simply because the staff refused to split the bill by 5! All 5 of us agreed: never again! What a disgrace!

Beautiful shop with history and super friendly

The food is at a rather confusing and weird, cozy spot, but after the confusion about the lunch or dinner menu (5:30 pm), we get a hamburger with nachos (?) and a salad with beef tips that lacks definition. A sticky mess of white sauce, brown sauce, cashews, and grapes with falling-apart lettuce parts; it's quite hard to find the meat pieces. Once you do manage to get hold of them, the meat quality turns out to be top-notch (?!). When paying, we asked if everything was to our liking, but answering leads to: well, that's your opinion, but others think it's tasty... LOL. The feedback that the bitterballen don't fit in the bamboo mustard hat is met with a look in the eyes familiar to the region and the answer: 94 euros, please. Wow, a waste of the place, what a bunch of bunglers.

I drove up and saw one lady talking to two men while I had parked. She was still standing there chatting. I waited past her on the terrace for 10 seconds and eventually spoke to her, since she was just socializing anyway. I got a short answer; she was clearly crazy... just find a seat, even though we had a reservation. After that, it took quite a while before we could order anything. I regularly saw them consulting with each other. The food was otherwise good, nice location but little atmosphere, and there is only a handful of good staff.

Had a super delicious lunch (asparagus soup), nice atmosphere inside and sweet waitresses. A really pleasant experience!

If you want iced coffee, this is the place to be: the best of the best, delicious and quickly prepared lunch and dinner, and affordable.

They used to have the Gullke Burger, it's a shame it's gone. It was a real winner.

What a nice and welcoming restaurant!

We dined with 10 people today; the staff could have been a bit friendlier. They all looked equally unpleasant. Only the girl who brought the drinks was friendly and polite; the rest could learn a thing or two from her. It is ridiculous that the main courses do not all come with fries or potatoes as standard. The satay was far too dry; you could tell it came out of the oven. The salmon sauce was too salty, and the salad had way too much lettuce underneath. Since the renovation, we feel things have gone downhill, and the prices reflect that. Desserts were quite pricey; you couldn't even get a dollop of whipped cream with them. In short, it is just that we have to create the atmosphere ourselves, and next time we will simply go somewhere else where the staff is friendlier and the price is better value for money.

Super friendly, and bringing 2 dogs wasn't a problem. And a large salad is really huge...

The food was delicious, but it just took 2 hours before we received our food. We had reserved in advance stating that we were coming with a small group and had already given our menu choices, but it took a very long time.

It was very disappointing, the flammenkuche; it was greasy and had a soggy base. Not tasty.

Pleasantly surprised! I had the most delicious crispy chicken sandwich. Beautifully presented and packed with flavor! The service is attentive and very friendly. A great place for lunch, drinks, dinner, or just a good cup of coffee!

Once again, we had a great meal! No long menu with unusual dishes, just good food as it should be. The carpaccio was a nice size! The tuna carpaccio was also very tasty. Drinks arrived quickly after ordering. For a simply delicious meal, I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately the kitchen didn't open until 11.30 so we only had coffee.

I ate at Guulke's today, and the steak salad was delicious. The spare ribs lacked flavor and weren't spicy as ordered. I also expect some vegetables or salad with dinner. After mentioning this to the waiter, all he got was "it's not on the menu."

Delicious spare ribs and the ladies enjoyed an excellent and buttery-tender steak, very tasty soup as a starter and the delicious pastry for dessert is also recommended, we will definitely be back!

The menu doesn't offer many vegetarian options, but what they do have is delicious. I ordered focaccia with mushrooms and a cheese salad. Kudos to the kitchen! The staff is friendly and regularly asks if everything is to your liking and if you'd like any drinks. We had a lovely lunch; we'll definitely be back.

Yesterday we had dinner with the 2 of us. What a disappointment and on your birthday. Unfriendly staff, very noisy. And then you order meat with a salad in a super small bowl that the two of you have to share? If 1 person takes a scoop once, it's gone. What a mockery. No, that was the last time

delicious food and drinks. we were here on July 4, 2021. friendly and fast service. We both had a healthy sandwich. 2 slices of bread (fortunately not those thick chunks you get at some places) cheese, ham and salad. everything fine. Paid € 28.95 incl. 1 white wine and 2 Leffe double. Update. March 24, 2025. Had lunch here again. We now went for the goulash croquettes and the soup of the day. Everything was perfect again. Also the service. Until next time.

Relative to last time the food deteriorated. Didn't receive what I ordered and when I indicated this I got the answer that I want something too. Also piece of meat on the small side. Dessert quality disappointment. Not worth repeating as this was not the first time it was disappointing.

Had a delicious meal at Guulke's. Price/quality is perfectly fine. I also like that there are regularly different dishes, a changing menu. Of course a few dishes that are standard. I can recommend everything on the menu. Simply tastes excellent. We like coming here and will come back again.

Went for a drink at the fair last night. The service was truly a mockery. First we had to move twice because the mop water would come onto the terrace. They start scrubbing when people are still sitting on the terrace drinking something, which I don't think is appropriate. Anyway, we had to move the table twice ourselves. It took a very long time for someone to come who had a very long face and didn't feel like doing the work. When her colleague came with the order, we said this in a funny way and got a snarl that she had already been working for 5 days... What is going on with our catering industry. I think you will have a lot more fun if you make sure you enjoy it yourself... Then your customers will also have a nice evening and you will go home with a smile ;-)

We used to like coming there, but not anymore. After that I was given a dressed cup of cappuccino due to an error by the service. To which it was later said that you can have your skirt dry cleaned at our expense. The ice that was on my skirt and in the meantime the ground was not cleared away. I just sat on the other side of the table. When we went to pay, the gentleman asked if everything had been satisfactory, to which I replied, well, I didn't like that cappuccino poured over me. He then said you can have it dry cleaned and that was no compensation at all at that time. He was also surly and not friendly. Never again for us.

I lived in Nederweert for years and always came here with satisfaction. Recently visited with my wife and baby and had a less positive experience here. I asked for 150cc for making baby food and I got 130cc. When paying, I only noticed that the spa was turned blue instead of the requested tap water. What happened to the remainder of the water (the bottles are larger than the 130cc received) is a mystery to us.

Yesterday 10-01-24, we wanted to have lunch at Guulke, 2 people. We were not allowed to sit by the window even though there were many places available and not reserved! We had to go into a corner on the walkway! We didn't feel like doing that. Waitress said, while looking at her tablet, that we should go then...?!!! So we went to Kleine Winst and had a delicious lunch with very friendly staff. We will NEVER come to GUULKE AGAIN!!!

Cozy restaurant. Not discussed on a Saturday but still a spot and that is rare. Fish skewer was a bit dry but my friend's steak was super tender. Vegetables are delicious, just a little too much sauce. The bread beforehand was nicely presented, but I wouldn't put a regular sandwich in it. White baked bread could also be better. The spreads were very tasty.
