Warunee Thai Food in Wijk 22 Zeeheldenkwartier

Most authentic Thai food I've ever had outside of Thailand. I definitely recommend the Thai green curry, it was so flavourful and it had the perfect amount of spice.

I ordered mild salad but it was extremely spicy and also disgusting taste. The soup had separated and was over cooked. The other food was very bland. The sticky rice was not really sticky rice. The restaurant did a trick with not marking the delivery as finished so I could not leave a review on Thuisbezorgd. I know how Thai food tasts. This is a disgrace for Thai cuisine. Never again.

Great food! Ollie, our cute dog, walks around and if you want, he'll sit on your chair at the table. If you don't, he'll just quietly go to the back on a bench where he won't bother you. The restaurant is otherwise very hygienic. We ordered the Warunee Menu together. It said "for 2 people, €45." In hindsight, I'm sure I was a bit silly, but I assumed it was €45 for the entire menu for 2 people. When I paid, it turned out to be €45 per person, so I ended up paying €110. That was a shock for a meal at a Thai restaurant with two drinks. Something to keep in mind. Maybe I got ripped off, but I don't think so; the owner was friendly. So, be aware that the price indication of €20-30 isn't entirely accurate. But hey, we had a great meal and a nice date.

The heating was off, the place was cold, and very outdated, with a 70s diner vibe. Constantly interrupted by delivery drivers and customers who come to pick up their food and walk by, leaving the door open or chatting with the owner in the doorway. Eating in is therefore not recommended. There was no one there except us on a Saturday evening at 6 p.m. By Thai standards, we found the food rather bland. I also didn't receive any helpful help with choosing dishes. And then, at the end, we had to pay an extra €3.50 for white rice, which wasn't listed anywhere on the menu hanging in the window. A bit of a shame.

I ordered food, has never arrived … apparently nobody was there to pick up the food at my house while I was outside waiting for it. Not happy at all :((

Stay away from this filthy place! Just when you think you're sitting down, there are mice running around everywhere. Everything is greasy or sticky, including the cutlery. It used to be neat here, but that's changed dramatically! A large menu no longer includes rice. If you ask for it, you're first met with a smart-aleck remark and then a backstabbing. Then the man showed up with the receipt and the food, all wrapped up. Shouting and threatening, we were ordered to pay and "get lost!" Again, stay away at all costs! It's a waste of your money and your health!

Unfortunately, the taste of the dishes we ordered was very disappointing. The red curry lacked flavor, and the massaman was also watery and tasteless. Such a shame! The fish cakes were good, but the spring rolls weren't crispy. Ordered online, but delivery arrived a bit early.

Had a great meal at Warunee. The dishes were tasty and more than enough. It reminded us of real Thailand. Service/owner very friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Really good food and nice staff

My friend ordered here and the food only arrived after an hour and a half. Unfortunately, after waiting so long you expect it to at least be tasty, but no. The chicken and steak were anything but tender. Bone dry. The thick noodles were 1 thick lump of noodles.

Cozy old-fashioned restaurant. I understand that people can't always see through this. The food here is fine and good. I had a 3 course menu here. That was tasty and more than enough! Lots of vegetables in the curry, which is always nice. Also the food here is not very sweet. But for me personally it could be even less sweet.

Heerlijk gegeten, bediening was heel vriendelijk en attent.

Lekker eten, vers en kruidig. Alleen beetje jammer dat de getoonde prijzen zonder rijst zijn en er dus nog een bedrag bijkomt wanneer je gewoon rijst erbij wilt. Best prijzig dus.

Via thuisbezorgd besteld, uurtje gewacht (zoals aangegeven bij thuisbezorgd). De pittige beef salade was voor mij echt te zout en te zuur. Bij de mango kleefrijst toetje was de rijst niet goed doorgekookt waardoor die wat korrelig was.. bezorger was wel vriendelijk :)

Heerlijk eten, maar ter plaatse eten is het ongeschikt voor. Er loopt een hond rond en het is muf oud en ongezellig

Smakelijke loempia's, tom yam kippesoep, milde curry gerecht en kokosijs. Topper!!

Good food, however not really a restaurant

Nicht vom Aussehen abschrecken lassen!Wirklich großartige thailändische Küche!!!Auch zum mitnehmen geeignet.Habe selten so gut thailändisches Essen irgendwo außerhalb Thailand bekommen 😋🙏

Delicious Thai food! I had a Khao Pad Sapparod and Tom Yum soup, which were both very tasty. The waiter was also very nice. Definitely one of the best restaurants of The Hague, I recommend you to come here.

UPD we got sick once after ordering from warunee, so i have to change my opinion, unfortunately. We don’t order anymore. (My earlier review below) Perfect soups, fried rice with chicken and kip saté. We order regularly! Delivery is fast, quality is always great.

Eten was opzich lekker, helaas goed ziek geweest alleen nadat ik hier heb gegeten.

De voorgerechten waren niet zo denderend, maar dat is helemaal goedgemaakt met het hoofdgerecht. Yummie!

Zeker een aanrader! Ontzettend lekker en grote porties, het personeel is heel aardig. Verwacht niet een modern of chique restaurant, maar eerder authentiek en gezellig. Would recommend! Very delicious food in big portions, and the staff is very friendly. Don't expect a fancy or modern restaurants, but an authentic and cosy one.

De soepen zijn om van te smullen. Lekker pittig eten voor een goede prijs.

Favoriete Thaise restaurant van Den Haag. De curries zijn heerlijk en je krijgt erg veel. Ook de soepen zijn om te smullen! Vriendelijk personeel. Knus klein restaurantje. Mijn vriend en ik komen hier altijd terug ook al is het best een eindje van ons huis.

Super tasty food, delivered fast! We will definitely order from this place again and visit as soon as the rules allow for it. Before ordering, we contacted the restaurant to ask some questions. The employee was very helpful and friendly. The delivery person was also really friendly.

Best Thai in town; best pad Thai I’ve ever had. Family-run and you can taste the heart and soul in their food. All spice levels can be adjusted. Don’t let the decor scare you off because the food is incredible. And apparently delivers very well, because it’s always busy with take-away. Dog friendly, too. Authentic Thai beers make it a terrific meal for all tastes.

Super yummy food, delivered in good time and such friendly people! Would definitely recommend if you like amazing food
