It is shameless that you send such food out the door. Don't you taste it yourselves? It has nothing to do with Surinamese food.

It tasted good, but of the 3 pieces of spicy chicken, 1 piece was a leg and I don't know how to describe the other 2... a pile of bone... but I don't want chicken like that. So, a shame.

Received a wrong order and it was resolved properly, thank you for that. PS the food is always delicious and I have been a customer for years.. That is how you resolve things... See you next time...

The food is very tasty and the portions are large. The lady who greeted and served us was very friendly and helpful.

I ordered nasi from this company, but halfway through my meal, I found a dead mosquito in my dish. That was reason enough for me to stop eating immediately. I then contacted the owner to report this and find a suitable solution. The response was disappointing. Only a small refund was offered, which was completely disproportionate to the situation and the amount paid. This experience raises serious doubts about the hygiene and freshness of the food. Based on this, I no longer have confidence in this company. I will not order here again!!

First of all, the food was not worth my €60. Secondly, the food only arrived after 1.5 hours. Their reason was that they couldn't find my apartment, even though I had posted my house number twice and they claimed I hadn't. Plus, they were very arrogant because I only asked where it was, and they kept nagging about my phone number and other nonsense. Ordered food here. It was delivered within 40 minutes (Sunday evening). I ordered the saoto soup/chicken noodles and a bara, and they were also heated properly. The food was great! The delivery driver was also polite about calling ahead to let me know he was in front of the hotel. I didn't want to take a picture, but it smelled and tasted delicious, so I wanted to eat it quickly.

I've been ordering from this Warung every few months for quite a while now, and I'm finally writing a review because it was delicious again tonight. I see opinions vary quite a bit about the quality, but we're fans here at home! Maybe it helps that we usually choose vegetarian options. They're delicious, and the staff are friendly too. You have to allow half an hour for delivery. Sometimes there are problems during busy periods, but they're always resolved promptly. I highly recommend it. Tip 1: order through their website. Tip 2: order an extra filled bara for lunch tomorrow.

On Thuisbezorgd it says 1+1 free with 2 dishes, but in principle they actually mean telo. So it makes no sense at all. You pay extra for the plastic container, but don't get a lid with it. They just put cling film on it. The food tasted mediocre. All in all, way too expensive for this quality.

I think the quality is excellent, delivered quickly, always delicious. If you ask for extra sambal, don't ask for extra, so I don't understand the comment. It's incredibly good food for a reasonable price.

Delivery took longer because there were no delivery drivers. Telo was cold and dried out because of this. The sauto was lukewarm and not very filling, and the bara was also cold and dry. The mini nasi and satay were tasty, though. Too bad. Update August 2025 I regularly order lunch delivery here for my colleagues and myself. The lunch portion, bami, and nasi are tasty and sufficient for the price. The sandwiches are also good. The bara is poor; not recommended. The sauto is tasty, but a bit too sweet. One thing that does bother me is that every time we order sauto, we ask for the ingredients separately. They often forget this. Otherwise, it's a great place. I haven't eaten there myself yet, so I can't comment on the atmosphere or interior.

I used to always have delicious meals here alone and had nice delivery drivers; unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated significantly over the past year. The food was inedible this time. Containers of food (without lids) individually wrapped in cling film and stacked on top of each other like that. Crushed together, everything leaked into that plastic bag. And the cling film covering the food had a burnt plastic smell. That smell had completely permeated the food as well. Chemical. It made me sick. The telo with salted cod is more like telo than a mix, considering the amount of cassava you get compared to the fish (but I’ve always thought that here). The pom doesn't even taste like pomtayer, but like some kind of sweet peanut something. The rice is old and hard. For the first time, I threw an entire meal in the trash; it made me sick. Never again..

Delicious rotis, both chicken fillet and lamb, fast delivery, friendly delivery person and the icing on the cake: a piece of spekkoek for my pregnant friend, fantastic!

Delicious lamb roti, however...after an hour, I was racing all evening and night. I didn't even leave today. I'd been in the car for seven hours before that. Not a single bit of pain. Sorry, it was still good about 3 months ago, but has become very bad now. Food arrives cold and the chicken is dry and the taste of the roti is bad. It tastes very bland, just like you are eating potatoes with dry chicken. The chicken you get is dry and has no taste. Also got a pancake with it, which is also of poor quality. A household name in the Zeeheldenkwartier for decades. I still love going there, and the food is as familiar as ever and still very tasty. It is also definitely still a takeaway spot. Not a cozy place to eat on-site, but it is possible. There are about 4-5 tables.

The roti leaf was hard, I could have smashed someone's head in with it. The extra egg I paid for wasn't included. Otherwise, it was tasteless, even with the pepper that came with it. My colleagues with whom I ordered were also very disappointed. So that was the last time.

I was really interested in the Loaded Telo. It's simple and tasted great. It looks like a small container, but it's definitely filling. The cod was great 👍🏽 The chicken ketjap was also good. Delivery was super fast 💪🏼 See you next time 🫶

I feel extremely frustrated and disappointed by Warung Kromo. I had clearly ordered vegetarian food, but was served chicken. Moreover, the food was not fresh, had a strange taste, and caused discomfort. I called in a polite manner to resolve the matter and asked for my money back, but they were completely unwilling to consider a reasonable solution. They responded rudely and defensively, and refused any form of assistance. If you care about your health, respect your dietary preferences, and expect fair treatment, I strongly advise you to avoid this place.

Absolutely, and I mean absolutely, inedible. Dried-out, tough meat that looks old; the only taste you get is salt. Never again. A jumble of trash thrown together in a bin.

I waited an hour and a half longer for my food than I was supposed to, called three times in the meantime, and was told that it could arrive any moment. I then reported this via Uber Eats; they called, and it turns out they hadn't even made the order. I had to cancel the order and will never order from them again.

Wouldn’t order roti rol kip. The wrap wasn’t tightly wrapped, barely any chicken there, asked for sambal and cucumbers but neither was there. Tastes bland.

Ordered lunch. The chicken satay wasn't fresh. You could taste it immediately, especially compared to other warungs. The 10cm baka bana, where you normally get a normal-sized plantain, wasn't fresh either. The fried rice with chicken wasn't fresh, and the egg strings tasted like rubber. When I contacted them, they denied everything. No compromise was possible. They claim everything is fresh (so nothing from the day before). €40 wasted. Perhaps the food inspection service should pay a visit.

Vegetarian roti is pretty acceptable quality and taste.

The telo was very tasty! The bakabana was very greasy, the grease was running down my hand! Had to throw it away. The peanut sauce had solidified, so I think they should separate it anyway and not for a fee. The Nasi was also fried with a lot of oil. The small portions with egg, potatoes and long beans are nice. The saoto had fallen over during delivery.

Called several times. And after two hours and 15 minutes they came to the conclusion that something went wrong and the delivery had gone wrong. Received a call from the owner to say it had been delivered. Sure.. but not with me or the neighbor. . It was agreed with Kromo that compensation would of course be provided. Daughter and I had nothing to eat that evening. Egg fried. Agreed that a new order would come at six o'clock the next day. Arrived too late again and my original order came... No compensation... Not a little something... Not even a little sambal or something!... Nothing at all. Just a 24 hour delay and as a customer of 10 years + I could deal with that. Really unbelievable. You get a chance and you deal with it like that. Nice people but that's not what I'm talking about. Anyway, I understand other reviews now too. I would try a little less sloppily and try harder. Now you give the feeling that you are not taking people seriously.

No, it looks like an overcooked kitchen.. the food was not really a success.. give me Waring Melatie in Rotterdam. really the best Javanese eatery I have tasted so far.. I will not go to this one again!

Today, 24-08-20424. Two saoto special… lukewarm water and lots of bean sprouts… no fries in it. Satay: three skewers of lukewarm boiled chicken meat... which has nothing to do with Surinamese Javanese cuisine. Liver sandwiches.. good.. Total: 24€ Toilet. Super dirty. Service: nice lady with a beautiful deep cleavage. My advice... go to Djojo or Mini. Honor goes to those who deserve it. Hope for Kromo to improve.

Ordered nasi via home delivery. Once we got the nasi it was cold and all the food was mixed up. The food tasted of nothing and I asked Warung for an alternative as I had to throw my food away. The kid who answered the phone talked about McDonald's and should have gone there when it was more famous. The food was comparable to the staff's mindset, disgusting!

Normally the roti rolls are well filled, but the roll I received with my order yesterday was very sparsely filled. Very thin, almost no chicken and long beans, just a few potatoes and sour cucumber. Very disappointed because we normally enjoy it.

Been recently. Hadn't been there for a while. But behind the counter there are uninterested young ladies calling. Ordered two sandwiches to take away. Afterwards I asked if I could go to the toilet. My god, I shouldn't have done that. Very rancid. Back at the counter and waiting for my sandwiches, I looked at the place more critically and it struck me even more that it did not look fresh. When the sandwiches were ready the lady said I still had to pay. Probably too busy with other things. After indicating that I had paid and she had looked at the ATM, I was given my sandwiches. Unfortunately, the salt meat sandwich, and yes I know that it may contain some fat, etc., unfortunately had hard, unchewable pieces. Very unfortunate given the good experiences in the past.

I’ve eaten here a hundred times. The vegetarian roti is my fav. I’ve only had a couple of meals in my time where it wasn’t as good. Price is great, girlfriend loves it too. And your delivery drivers are really nice guys - every time.

Been going there for about more than 8 years, always perfect food and very sweet bosses. Truly a family restaurant.

There was a small mistake with my order last night. Unfortunately, the wrong soup was accidentally given. At that time it was already late and the restaurant was already closed. After calling the next day, I received a super sweet lady on the phone, who turned out to be the owner. She immediately apologized with complete understanding of the situation. Ik haal hier regelmatig de vegetarische roti en die is echt heerlijk! Nog niet ergens anders zo lekker kunnen vinden. De zaak ziet er nogal sjofel uit en is niet gezellig om te zitten, maar het eten is heerlijk.

Eten smaak is heerlijk roti lamsvlees kip en vers service is goed en netjes vriendelijk eigenaar personeels bezorger . ik raad iedereen Warung Kromo Halal surinaamse tent .

Bezorging was incompleet, de roti ontbrak en een ander bakje was gaan lekken. Gebeld, een uur later kwam de roti aan, niet gezellig eten zo. De bezorger riep: sorry! en was weg, niet eens iets anders ter compensatie. Jammer..

Placed order @ ubereats around 5:30 pm. Warung called a couple of minutes later to tell the goedangan was sold out and offered me an alternative. Delivered one hour after placing order. Pictures speak louder than words. This is the way. I have spoken.

De bestelling kwam een uur later aan, en toen de bestelling aankwam heb ik de verkeerde bestelling gekregen die ook nog eens goedkoper was. Een klein deel van de bestelling was oke, maar het grote deel van de bestelling was niet lekker

Als liefhebber van de Oosterse keuken kom ik al jaren bij Warung Kromo. Prima Surinaams-Javaans eethuisje. Met name de verschillende roti's en Surinaamse nasi met geplukte kip (Nasi Kromo) met pitjil (zeg maar pittige "gado-gado") zijn mijn favoriet. Verwacht hier geen haute-cuisine maar eerlijk en vers Surinaams eten. Restaurant heeft naast afhaalmogelijkheid ook bezorgservice en enkele tafeltjes om terplaatse te eten.

Lekker broodjes. Wat wel opviel dat een ietswat Fatsige jongen achter de toonbank spastisch random dingen aan het schreeuwen was. (Bigi Baw)

Boss en Hedia van Warung Kromo. Al jaren een geweldig begrip in Den Haag. De beste en lekkerste roti en gerechten vind je hier!!! Al zeker 15 jaar trouwe klant en het eten is ALTIJD goed en super snel bezorgd wanneer ik bestel. Lobi!!!!!
