My friend and I were there after work, very hungry, and we ordered carbonara and bitterballs. The bitterballs came out first, and we waited a very long time for the carbonara. It turns out they don't bring out the rest until you finish the first course (like an aperitif). The carbonara was a complete disaster. The pasta seemed overcooked, but I think it was cold and just thrown in the pan. The "meat," if you can call it that, was sour and smelled rotten. We were shocked. The young bartender was finishing the cocktails, the ones made for the guests, from the shared shaker. The only one I'd give a star to was the bald man at the bar; he was very friendly and brought us a glass of wine in a second.

Had a really great dinner at Wissenkerke with a couple of friends. The food was really nice, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was amazing. The girl and guy (Batiya) working there were both super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Definitely a place worth visiting in Amsterdam!

Rudeness is a constant! The restaurant hasn't accepted any tables for dinner since 7 PM, even though it closes at 10 PM! We were traveling with a child, and they turned us away, telling us the kitchen was closed at 7:20 PM! I can't rate the restaurant or the food since we weren't able to get a seat.

We visited this place expecting a nice breakfast experience, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. From the moment we arrived, despite being among the first customers, we noticed that people who came after us were served before us. When we tried to order, the staff didn’t seem very attentive or welcoming. In particular, one staff member (a tattooed man, who seemed to be in charge at the time) came across as dismissive and unhelpful, which set the tone for the whole experience. We were also told that breakfast could take 30–40 minutes due to how busy it was, which is understandable, but the overall communication and attitude could have been handled much better. We believe that a more organized system and a warmer, more customer-friendly approach would make a big difference. Guys, you have to try these burgers. Perfectly cooked patties made from fresh beef. The fries with that incredibly delicious mayonnaise... divine. We'll definitely be back.

The restaurant is conveniently located next to the station, making it easy for tourists to dine! The steak and seafood were cooked quite well, but the service was a bit slow, perhaps due to a staff shortage?

A great spot to relax, conveniently close to our hotel, with absolutely delicious food. Highly recommended!

Five cava glasses and some plates of diverse food, as pata negra, patatas bravas, calamari fritti, asparages, tuna carpaccio... The fried plates were a bit too oily. Above all was good. 114 euros in total.

Booked table for 8 people, they forgot to put it to the system and then rejected the service. Guy at the bar was completely not helpful. Avoid!

The only downside we had with our three dishes was the flat iron containing these tendons, but we also received a free coffee or tea afterwards. They are very friendly, the food is delicious, and there is a view of the kitchen. Nice, good, and attentive cook. We went for a walk two days later and stopped there for some drinks and snacks. Just as friendly and everything was perfect.

Every year, I consume a large number of steaks, all over te world. The one served here was not a good one, not prepared well, and certainly overpriced for what it was. Shame.

I went here back in Apr. 2024. I recall the food being fantastic (I only can seem to find the picture of my appetizer, so I've forgotten what I got for my entrée). The staff member that seated me and took my order was very nice, but he took a really, really long time to take my order. I was one of a couple of people who came in alone, so I do believe we were lower priority (which I'm not upset about, I get it). Wissenkerke was also quite busy, which didn't help. EDIT: I'm going to trust the restaurant's word in their response. It was just a very busy day. Still, I do remember waiting around 25 minutes to have my order taken. Was it worth the wait? Definitely. The food was really, really good, and even then, it was nice to passively people-watch. The vibes were very good in the restaurant. Groups of friends at the bar, couples on dates in the dining area, a big family sat down for some celebratory meal behind me. Mijn Nederlands is niet echt goed, maar ik snap het als mensen blij zijn. Mensen waren hier blij. Thank you for the first dinner I've ever had outside of my home country, Wissenkerke. I thoroughly enjoyed it. 💜 Someday, when I'm in Amsterdam again, I'll be sure to come in again.

They should fire that dark-skinned gentleman immediately. The terrace is 60% empty, and I have to wait half an hour for him to come over for another drink. We were there twice, and after that, we were sitting with a group, and it still took a long time. The girl is service-oriented, 5 stars for her.

Delicious food, the double smash burger is highly recommended. The staff is friendly but seems inexperienced, so you have to chase them down before you can order anything. The decor is also cozy.

I was staying at a nearby hotel. Looking for a restaurant, I found this one. We had two delicious evenings with excellent service. I'll definitely be back.

Carelessly prepared food and expensive menus.

Great atmosphere, a very nice man who mainly helped us, and the other staff were also friendly. The Double Smash Burger was delicious. We waited just over 10 minutes for the food, which was nice, and less than 3 minutes for drinks. Excellent!

My partner and I went on an amazing trip to Amsterdam and discovered this lovely place in Sloterdijk. We almost walked past it, but decided to pop in for a few bites and a couple of drinks. The atmosphere was so welcoming and warm, with a great menu and brilliant staff, that we returned for our birthday meal — and it was absolutely fantastic. This is definitely a place to visit: reasonably priced, fantastic food, and wonderful service. Huge compliments to the chef, the owner, and all the staff.

We received a very warm welcome, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The person who runs the restaurant was very helpful and pleasant. We had a wonderful time. I recommend it if you're looking for somewhere other than fast food. The service isn't fast, but at least they don't rush you, and the food is hot. In addition, they seat you, whenever possible, so that diners at neighboring tables are at a distance to ensure your privacy. Thank you.

The lunch was excellent. The following evening meal was inedible. I was very surprised by the difference between the two meals. It felt like we were eating completely different places. The pasta was swimming in sauce, like soup. It left a bitter aftertaste. The mojito, made with sparkling water and mojito syrup, was, in my opinion, not good at all.

Don't come here without a reservation, that's made very clear to you. And what a racket it is

Mosy was the perfect host come waiter and barman :)! The iron flat steak was fantastic and the vegetables crunchy. I really recommend a meal here if you're staying in the area.

Delicious! I found this restaurant on a whim. The atmosphere was relaxed! The fries were made from whole potatoes and were delicious! The waiter was amazing at managing the entire restaurant by himself!

Last Tuesday I had a lunch at this restaurant. Placed on the first floor, which has the same feeling as if you are at the cafeteria of a workplace. The order of serving out was a bit strange. Vegetarian and normal sandwiches were placed on the same wooden plank. After the sandwiches the soup was served and then the plates for the sandwiches were given. The soup was nice. The sandwiches were not that special. The waiter was a bit too touchy. I was with some nice people so that made it up, but sorry to say I don't think I will go back here.

My sister and I came here on a Tuesday last week, and although the service was slightly slow they were kind and the food was delicious. We ordered a pizza for takeaway and waited about 30 minutes with the waiter realized he forgot to put the order in which was totally fine. They were kind and the truffle pasta was delicious I know tipping isn’t a culture here but we left a tipped and we raved about it to our friend and decided to come in last night to show him. One of the waiters who works the bar from our first experience was there along with a female waitress. It was an entirely different experience. The female waitress seemed like maybe she didn’t want to take us in. We got sat at a table and was given menus. We ordered waters to start off with and she just hands us a container with water in it but no glasses. So we all sat for about 15 minutes before having to wave down the waiter to finally order because no one ever came back and had to go find glasses at another table. The same male waiter who was kind in our first experience was not kind this go around. I guess he didn’t like that we were ready to order after looking at the menu for 15 minutes. He walks up and asks “yes are you ok?” You could immediately tell it was passive aggressive. He had this annoyed smile one his face. From there our friend says we are ready to order in which we began ordering. I’m excited because I love the frites and mayonnaise sauce from here and ask for the that with my burger and he has this “yeah obviously” response. We ignore it. We finish ordering and later on he comes back with our food. We go ahead and make another order for pizza for take out. Because again the first time we went here everything was pretty good. Down the pizza it was perfect. We got the margherita pizza to go the first night it was delicious. The sauce, the basil the olive oil. It was actually perfect. We tried ordering the same take out actually this past Monday and another pizza because we had been craving it so much. And it was not the same. The pizza had no basil no olive oil but even then we gave it another go last night because why not. Yet again the margherita pizza we order that distinctly says on the menu comes with basil. Did not come with it. I was apprehensive about mentioning it with how the waiter was acting already but my friend wanted to do so. He told the waiter our experiences with the pizza and he oddly asked when did we last get our first pizza that came with basil. Was confused by that because the point is that it’s supposed to come with it right? Anyways. The customer service last night was just not pleasant. I don’t know why it flipped or what the issue was but it sucked.

Very extensive menu and very friendly staff! We had lunch here with a colleague and will definitely be back. The atmosphere gave me a South American vibe, where the cafes are also decorated in an "industrial-chic" and slightly exotic style. 🥂

Great atmosphere, cozy tables. The service was friendly, attentive, and everything was served promptly. Some dishes could use some improvement, though. The Patatas Bravas, for example, could be a bit more Spanish. :)

The food was excellent, and the service was fast. The portion of rosefish was on the small side.

Simply put, it was a total disaster. We booked a table for a team drinks reception. It was already difficult because they wouldn't accept the reservation at the restaurant itself; I had to email them. Then, we were literally tucked away in a back corner with a tiny standing table that didn't have enough room for everyone. The service was terrible. Ordering took ages, and we had to constantly ask them for service. And a mistake they made with appetizers was suddenly our fault. "Yes, you did order this!" Furthermore, we were pushed back at the end of our reserved time in an otherwise nearly empty restaurant, even though it was supposed to be an hour late. It all made us feel unwelcome from the start. We booked here because colleagues were enthusiastic about the location. However, we went home disappointed. We definitely won't be coming back and will definitely tell our colleagues about our bad experience.

It's such a shame that their sandwiches were so good at the old location, and now it's truly awful! 14 euros for a sandwich (rabbit food) with barely any chicken or salmon, and that's such a price. It's so sad, even though they used to be so good. The staff is also absolutely awful! I wouldn't recommend eating there again.

A place with potential, but it's not quite reaching its full potential. The biggest annoyance is the lack of toppings on the burrata sandwich. The flavors are generally good, but if I have to skimp on the ingredients with every bite, the fun quickly goes away.

Nice café, but it's impossible to order. Overwhelmed staff. We waited 20 minutes and couldn't even order a coffee. Several people left the café without being able to order.

I don't know why is this place low rated. Delicious food, huge quantities, amazing service. Chicken sate was the best. The bread and dips was delicious and fresh bread. Except the sangria. It was purely sugar syrup. They should change it, add some fruits or something to taste it better. It felt like very sweet cough syrup. But everything else including beers , gin and tonic and all the food, amazing!! And great service

Ordered a Pizza and an Apple Pie with Whiped cream. Got the pizza it was OK, I sat there waiting for an hour for my Apple Pie I asked what's going on. The waitress said she forgot all about it. Which is crazy at the time I was the only customer in there. Terrible service

1 star which is a shame because the case is super beautiful. We had called for bottles of prosecco on the table and called to say we would be late. Nothing had been arranged. Also mentioned that it was a birthday and then after an hour was told that the sandwiches had not been ordered. We are glad that we had mentioned that we had been waiting a long time for our drinks. Otherwise we would have left hungry and thirsty. No one came to the table to check if we were still seated correctly. We walked to the fir hungry. It's a shame, because we were the only ones in the business. So they were definitely not busy.

insane flavour experiences. i ate there once and had to go back the following days and everything i ate was immaculate! try the salads, they’re delicious! also very nice music!

my mom and i found this place randomly, we saw the food, tried it and were both transported into a different dimension. best food we both ever had without kidding. huge portions, insane flavor combinations, not many people to our surprise and professional crew. just please go and try the burrata salad or anything really because everything looked insane. thank me later! total secret tip!

Three times I received food that was either wrong, changed or didn't arrive. Being a local I suggested 'I can't eat this' but I'll pay. Fully expecting the waitress I've know for months to be reasonable and give me my money back for inedible food, or once it didn't even arrive in 45 minutes - that was after calling ahead by 15m, to give warning. So not cool. The owner is ok, but that hardly helps the lack of any empathy. If they give you a wrong dish, expect to pay for it.

Nice place and good food but one euro extra for the oatmilk on top of the cappuccino price is steep. The price of the very large carrotcake was modest however.

Delicious food for a reasonable price with friendly service. Chicken salad with bacon is highly recommended. The location... well, it is in the concrete office jungle of Sloterdijk, but fortunately close enough to green cycle routes towards Zwanenburg/Haarlem

Think I was given the wrong order as no red fruit on tropical pancakes, and tropical if you mean 3 slices of banana!? Shocking. Smoothie was good but cappuccino was super strong and barely drinkable. Service was slow when we wanted to leave. Toilet were nice and clean. €30 for 2 pancakes and 2 drinks

I had breakfast here last week and found it very tasty. The service is also good and friendly. I would have liked to give it 5 stars, but when I visited there were unfortunately no coffee specialties with milk, as they were supposed to be non-milk. I found it a real shame that you couldn't order a cappuccino etc. for breakfast. Nevertheless, I recommend it because the food is delicious.

The food is good, but they did not have a menu listing all items they had. Though they have some very good items, not having a menu that lists everything, does not help.

We went to eat there one evening at 8 p.m. because it was opposite our hotel, which was easy for us but we were disappointed. A single map translated into English but with several pages missing. Not very practical... we had pasta and a burger. For my part, the advertised “chrispy” chicken burger was not at all. And for the price of the pasta it wasn't crazy either.. In short, we are disappointed. But the setting is not bad. It's a shame

It’s my second time here and The food at this place was absolutely delicious! 🤤 The flavors were on point, and everything was cooked to perfection, Chef Frans and the staff is amazing with good service It's definitely a place where your taste buds will be dancing with joy! 😄

Food was great, chicken burger was very tasty, liked the sweet taste within. Wife had carbonara and also said it was good. Very filling. Very quiet in here and they could do with cleaning a little better - dust on lamps and ledges. Service was good - polite and food was quick. Overall we enjoyed it.

One of the best stakes I ate!! Nice portion of the vegetables with it as well. As they say, Dutch are the best with the food at the continent, this chefs medium done steak I went on a valentines dinner with.

Food is tasty and atmosphere is nice, it is quite pricey and although she was a very nice waitress, it was a shame that she only spoke English.

This tent needs a makeover. Put some smooth people behind the bar, put on some nicer music. Gosh, how is it possible that you are almost the only tent in the area that is empty every evening except for a lost tourist! prices also ridiculously high!

I have no idea why they have many negative feedback 🤷‍♀️ I decided to go there for lunch. The first thing I entered bartender nicely greeted me. The girl was very friendly, quickly took my order and apologized when it turned out they didn't have what I had ordered. The pizza and coffee were perfect 👍 I liked this place, it was cozy to eat here!

Well what an amazing gem of a restaurant we had over the road from our hotel. The food was exceptional we actually came.back out if central to eat there on our last night. Ate there 3 times and can't rate it highly enough. The staff are so lovely, yes they aren't at your table every 5mins, but if you can't get up off your backside to go to pop your order in then it really is a bad job. Dim the Chef there is so lovely and what a Chef he is. Lovely guy who was happy to chat about the menu and so enthusiastic about what he cooks. Total gem well well worth a visit and would think twice to recommend. Thankful to be staying where we did to use this place.

After a long weekend of music festival and some train travels, this restaurant offered a relaxed and comfortable place to eat and reflect on past days. Food was delicious and the service staff were professional and friendly. Nice atmosphere in the evening :)

Een uur gewacht op een bestelling van 4 personen. 4x ontbijt. Veel teveel peper op het omelet. We konden om 11.45 am enkel ontbijt serveren. Geen lunch.

Wir haben hier gleich an 2 aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen zu Abend gegessen. Die Speisen sind absolut lecker und toll angerichtet. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist für Amsterdam nach unseren Erfahrungen sehr gut bis hervorragend. Der Service ist nett und zuvorkommend. Absolut empfehlenswert.
