Beautiful place, although it still has faded glory

Stopped in for lunch. The service was impeccable. The food delicious as was the mint tea. The free madeleine with the tea served on a silver tray was a nice touch. Such a beautiful hotel, we fell in love.

Great spot by the beach, super attentive staff. They even let me work there with my laptop. 5 stars 🌟

If you have patience, yes. Wait a loooong time.

Horrible restaurant. Staff members are genuinely incompetent, especially the manager Ahmed. Food takes forever to come, its subpar quality and more. If you like slow service, crappy coffee and being surrounded by 70+ year olds this is your go to.

Had a very sad high tea here. The sandwiches were uninspired, the pastry probably comes from Makro. The scone is not a scone. Not recommended.

The service and atmosphere were nice. Food was good however 4 of us have received food poisoning. We know its here as we have all only just met up for this one meal, however have been sick for a week now with Campylobacter. There are not many food poisoning reviews so am hoping this is a one off for people planning on visiting this place. Be cautious and ensure your food is really hot.

The view from The Waves restaurant in the Kurhaus is almost worth the visit alone, but in the afternoon you can just have a drink there, which is actually enough. The service was very friendly. The map is clear but balanced in composition. The food is more classic with no surprises but is executed in a correctly crafted manner. The food in Scheveningen is certainly much worse than at The Waves, but you can expect a little more inspiration from a chef in the restaurant of a 5* hotel. The food was correct, but nothing more.

What a disappointing experience this was. My husband and I had high tea. We started with a glass of bubbles, the way this was poured was very amateurish. Then we got a soup, but we were not told what it was, I suspect it was a carrot soup, it was very simple and tasteless. Then came the etagère with the snacks. There were 3 types of sandwiches on this, 1 with a slice of cheese and some lettuce, 1 with a slice of chicken fillet and lettuce and 1 with salmon and lettuce. This is not what I expect with a high tea at a 5 star hotel, I can also make this at home. The sweet snacks were completely too sad for words, all defrosted frozen snacks that you can find at an all you can eat dessert table. In addition, there was supposed to be fresh tea available, but that was not the case either, we only received some standard tea bags. All in all, very disappointing and scandalous that they dare to charge 52.50 per person for this.

After all the previous reviews, expectations were not too high. But the staff was very friendly, the food was good and the steak was cooked to a nice medium.

Op de website zag de high tea staan, dat zag er verrukkelijk uit. Hoewel ik nog nooit zo'n dure high tea heb gehad, heb ik geboekt samen met mijn zusje en haar dochter. Wat zijn we ontzettend teleurgesteld, dit was de slechtste high tea die ik ooit gehad heb. We hebben nog geen derde gehad van de producten, die op de website staan. Als we niet zelf om thee hadden gevraagd, hadden we de thee nu nog niet gehad. Ik heb hier over geklaagd, wel betaald, jammer genoeg en er is mij beloofd dat ze binnen een week contact op zouden nemen. Niks gehoord, uiteindelijk heb een week geleden zelf een mail gestuurd ook daar heb ik geen reactie op gehad. Dus niet alleen zeer slechte kwaliteit, ook de service is verschrikkelijk. Absolute afrader!

Such a shame, I expected more... it's more than just a cafeteria, unfortunately. I ordered a rare steak. When I finally got it after an hour, it was practically well done. When I pointed it out to the waiter, I was politely told that it looked rare to him 🤦🏼‍♂️ My wife's duck was also overcooked and dry. It was terribly drafty and anything but cozy. Hopeless! I'll never come back, what a disgrace.

Wow, how bad. I had never been to the Kurhaus and wanted to experience it. I was hoping for a little luxury. What we got, however, was a table on a very draughty corner, where we felt especially cold. Although there were 7 staff members walking around, we were not served. Just as we were about to leave, someone came. After a long wait for both the food and drinks, our order finally arrived. The rare steak was especially well done, although the server claimed that he saw something 'pinky'... My duck was hairy through and through, very dry and without the promised fondant potato and red cabbage. What a mockery! This establishment is headed straight for ruin. The staff sighs and groans and the politeness is hard to find. Unless you think it's normal for someone to just ask 'Drinks?' when you want to order. Come on Kurhaus, this really has to be better!!

Oei, wat slecht. Ik was nog nooit in het Kurhaus geweest en wilde dit toch eens meemaken. Ik had gehoopt op een beetje luxe. Wat we echter kregen was een tafeltje op een zeer tochtig hoekje, waar we het vooral koud hebben gehad. Hoewel er wel 7 personeelsleden rondliepen, werden we maar niet bediend. Juist op het moment dat we weg wilden gaan kwam er iemand. Na lang wachten op zowel het eten als drinken kwam dan toch onze bestelling. De rare steak was vooral well done, al beweerde de serveerder dat hij toch echt wel iets ‘pink’ zag… Mijn eend was door en door haar, gortdroog en zonder de beloofde fondant aardappel en rode kool. Wat een aanfluiting! Dit etablissement stevent recht op de ondergang af. Het personeel zucht en steunt en de beleefdheid is ver te zoeken. Tenzij je het normaal vindt dat iemand alleen maar ‘Drinks?’ vraagt als je wilt bestellen. Kom op Kurhaus, dit moet echt beter!!

We ate there yesterday, salad Caesar and cod, both were very good, the service was not particularly informed, but very friendly and reasonably quick. The Caesar salad was very good, the cod was lovely.

I went for lunch with my Mother-in-law and we were greeted by Hamza, a very pleasant young man. He showed us to our table that had a wonderful view, we felt very special. Hamza was very attentive and patient with us as we took forever to choose. In the end, we both ordered the Club Sandwich which was one of the nicest I have had, great flavour and not to sharp toast. The French fries were very nice as well, even the mayonnaise was great. A super lunch and thanks again to Hamza, a star!

Had the high tea. What you get is nothing special. 3 sandwich slices and the rest are all sweet cakes. It's not dirty, but the etagère for 2 people is certainly not worth 100 euros.

Mee uitgenomen door kennissen waardoor ik ter plaatse niet boos kon worden. Dat zou ondankbaar zijn. De bediening was aardig. Het enige pluspunt. De zaal was leeg en ongezellig en het interieur kurhaus onwaardig. Ik had soep vooraf, pompoensoep. Op zich weinig mis mee maar ook niet bijzonder Toen kwam de Wellington met champignon in. Als ik dit thuis had gemaakt zou iedereen zeggen, totaal mislukt. Het kwam overduidelijk uit de diepvries en dan krijg je nat en slap bladerdeeg. Champignon leent zich niet goed voor invriezen, dat bleek. Totaal smakeloos en vies. De champignondalade die er bij kwam leek ook een restje. En beetje veel champignon alles bij elkaar een frisse salade zou beter zijn geweest. Een mandje slappe friet maakte dit droevige geheel af. Maar geen nagerecht meer genomen. Wel koffie. Ik bestelde met havermout, maar kreeg geen melk, ook niet van de koe. Wat een teleurstelling, ik kan me niet voorstellen dat ze een kok inhuren om dit te maken.

Some time ago I surprised my mother with a high tea at the Kurhaus. Went a long time ago with a friend and booked again after a good experience. But we couldn't have done that better. The price has increased and the quality has decreased. When booking (well in advance) I indicated that it was my mother's birthday and a special occasion. Asked for a window table. After we signed in, we were taken to a small table crammed into a corner. So I asked for a bigger table. That was not possible because everything was fully booked. That later turned out not to be the case at all. There were plenty of tables available during the time we were there. We couldn't see the sea from our place and constantly people walking back and forth. After half an hour and asking, we first got soup and gravy. The etagère was then placed on the table. The staff kept leaving without explanation. Some time later and after asking several times, the tea was brought. There was no one to refill the tea in between. Everything is just thrown onto the table. When I said something about it, I was told that we were sitting at a table that was too small to make tea. Well, as if I had chosen it myself... Lousy service for a restaurant that is a 5 star hotel. Food wise it was okay. The sandwiches were very standard, little cream cheese, cucumber or salmon. The petit fours were tasty, unfortunately no macrons, the fruit was also quite normal, the scones were not tasty and too hard. And the soup and juice seemed to come from a can. So not worth it anymore. In the past, the soup also included savory snacks, macrons on the etagère, scones that were freshly baked and still warm, and tea was refilled in between.

Genoten van een heerlijke lunch ter ere van een verjaardag. Er werden excuses aangeboden dat het serveren vd lunch vertraagd was. Goede service 🥂 en aardige bediening! Bedankt! Mooi uitzicht op zee en prachtig gebouw. Leuk ook om in het gebouw de gallery te bezoeken.

What a disappointment. And a mockery. Shabby furnishings. Comfortless. Dirty. Dirty. High tea was almost just sweets and nothing special, I felt nauseous all afternoon. Waste of our money. Really sorry about that. Especially since Wii went on a special day for us. Not worth repeating. Be warned folks.

Indeed what the other reviews already mentioned; all very mediocre. Service speaks English to us without warning. The drinks menu states that olives can be ordered; we are told that we need to ask if there are any olives. We order 2 aperol spritz. The olives from quality supermarket X are suddenly thrown onto the table; the aperol spritz has hardly any prosecco ingredient in it and we got it minutes later. You can leave for €23.50

The location is beautiful, but you cannot see the sea due to the many beach bars. We ordered coffee and cake. The coffee tasted fine, although it was a bit on the lukewarm side. One spoon was dirty, that's not right. It was the top so we left it as is. The cake we ordered tasted great, but for the price you expect a little more. The coffee is one euro more expensive than at other establishments near the Kurhaus. I'm afraid people should mainly rely on the name and not on the quality or the service (although friendly, but not very fast).

If you like mediocre overpriced drinks and to watch ancient customers gum their mashed potatoes, this is the place for you. We ordered drinks and then waited for our server to return to order a lite dinner, yet he disappeared into the abyss. When we relocated to bar area for service the bartender said the kitchen closed at 9:30. It was 9:28… we had already waited 45 minutes… noticed the lack of music and excessive white lighting. The sea view is good but not worth the lack of service or ambiance of a foot clinic.

Food was not what I expected from the kuhrhaus. Certainly not for this price. I didn't always find the service attentive. It was also messy and several times it was difficult to understand them. There were virtually no other guests. The atmosphere was not very pleasant, also because the decor is a bit bare. I won't eat here again. This review has been rejected. Why. We were a bit hesitant because of the negative reviews, but we still went out to eat at this restaurant with a gift voucher. The service was very sweet and polite, the food was very tasty and everything went smoothly. We are glad we ate here!

Incredibly raunchy!! With service that I think was picked from the street

Felt like we were in the twilight zone. The view is nice, and the food, if you can ever get it to arrive, was good. But the service was so bizarre, there is no coordination of front of house to back of house, we waited over two hours from when our starters arrived until the mains. Wrong drink orders delivered, at times all staff disappeared from the restaurant, it was comical.

Uninspired menu and the food was seriously substandard. Even the Sourdough is just white bread and farmer's brown is whole wheat. Spend your money somewhere else.

Chicken club sandwich contained plastic processed slices of chicken, rather than actual chicken. Took forever to arrive. Fish and chips were not available .... !

Unfortunately, mine and my daughter's food was served cold. Reported to service immediately upon receipt and the gentleman suggested heating it up in the microwave (steak) 🤣🤣. Because we had to go to a musical, we had no time for a new dish, but we had to pay the full price even though the border was almost full. Too bad about bad service and not taking anything off the receipt.

The ambience is thrown together extremely untastefully. The waitress is in no hurry. The dishes were less clean. Coffee is okay. You don't have to have been here.

Would not recommend. I was there for a cup of tea on a quiet working day. The place was open because there were people drinking. First I was waiting for a waiter for about 20 minutes - there was no one in sight... then I kept looking and calling (🙈) I think another 10 minutes later someone came very slowly and apparently not very motivated to ask me if I what did you want to order?

I think it's a dirty idea! Our bitterballen had a hair in it, the carpacio also had a hair in it, there was a dirty spoon with caked honey or something with the tea and then also mold in the olives and all in 1 order! When we indicated that there was mold in the olives, she claimed that there was not and that it was coriander. It was fluffy with gray white black and smelled musty... they probably wanted to clear their name because the whole terrace had heard us and they just said it wasn't true. I think it's a very bad thing for such a “luxury” dining establishment. We did get 4 bitterballen and 4 cubes of cheese to compensate, but I still think it was a bad thing. I have no complaints about the waiter, he was a friendly boy who immediately went to the manager when we complained.

Here we ended a lovely evening with beer and wine. Outside on the terrace you have a beautiful view of the lake and you can spend the day with pleasant drinks. The restaurant and bar made a good impression. However, it took a while for the drinks to arrive.

Toller Service, sehr leckeres Essen! Service sehr gut! Waren mit zwei ausgepowerten Kindern hier. Das hat die Bedienung erkannt und das Essen war sehr schnell da. Danke!! Preislich gehoben, aber im Vergleich gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Hele slechte ervaring. Te weinig persomeel, 10 minuten niemand dus wachten tot we aan tafel konden. Uur gewacht op linch. Bij de burger ontbrak de avocado mayonaise, burger was lauw. Steak rare ipv medium zoals besteld. Ondertussen werden de machines gereinigd achter de bar. En steeds maar niemand om water bij te bestellen, rekening te vragen etc etc. Echt heel teleurstellend

Zoals al meer hier geschreven zeer zeer vergane glorie. Interieur van 50 jaar terug en niet vervangen. Tafeltjes met hoeken er uit enz. Vlees was nog redelijk maar niet in verhouding tot de prijs, €40 voor een ribeye, met een gepofte aardappel met wat koude (Calve??) whiskey saus . Personeel is weinig assertief interesseert het ook weinig en is niet attend op bijv.nog wat drinken bestellen .Triest jammer

Very bad service..we been to many restaurants, but beleive me never waited For our foods for 3 hours. One of our friend still didn’t Get his hamburger after ordered 3 hours ago. We still didn’t Get our main course yet Till now. Horeible service. First and last here.

Inattentive + unprofessional + forgetful + slow service. Seems like staff aren’t paid enough to care. Food is very mediocre. Definitely does not meet the standard given that it’s located in a 5 star hotel (!). Consider another option, like KFC which is just 20 m away and more worth your time lol

More than 21 years ago we had an overnight stay with dinner here, and that was a huge deception at the time. And then I said that I would never go to the Kurhaus again. But after receiving a gift voucher we wanted to try it again. Now more than 21 years later and a renovation that took place some years ago, the central room, where breakfast used to be, now looks much better. The restaurant is now located at the back of the beach. We ate on a Friday evening but it was very quiet and therefore a less pleasant atmosphere. The food was fine but the background music was terrible and did not fit the ambiance of the restaurant at all. Too loud and disco music from the eighties caused irritation. Apart from one drink miscalculation, the rest was sufficient. But next time I'd rather go somewhere else

Tsjonge, wát een ramp. Bijna struikelend over de geparkeerde auto’s vlak voor de ingang van het hotel, loop je op Nieuwjaarsdag het hotel binnen. De laatste keer van ons bezoek was 20 jaar geleden. Waar is het restaurant? Een medewerker zegt: de trap op en dan links. Zo gezegd, zo gedaan. Bovenaan de trap blijkt men een stelling van een oudejaarsavond aan het afbreken. Overal rommel en zelfs glasscherven. Bij het restaurant is er plaats genoeg, maar te weinig bediening. De wachttijd voor een drankje is er een half uur, terwijl men weet dat er met de nieuwjaarsduik heel veel mensen naar Scheveningen komen. Niet te geloven in wat ze zelf een majestueus hotel noemen, wél met dito prijskaartje. Bijna alle medewerkers spreken geen Nederlands, maar Engels. De sfeer is er chaotisch en voelt meer als die in een cafetaria. Aandacht : Geen. Hier overnachtte eens de grote Pavarotti. Dat waren nog eens de goede tijden. De historie van het hotel wordt vakkundig kapot gemaakt. Niet gewacht, maar vertrokken en bij de receptie onze ervaring gemeld. Beschamend deze wanvertoning. Kun je het niet behappen, houd dan de deuren dicht. Wij komen niet meer terug. Om de hoek was een grote bakker die heerlijke koffie en broodjes verkocht met prima bediening. Alles beter dan het Kurhaus!!!!

Kushaus, the Waves, Vergane glorie. Tweede kerstdag tafeltje voor lunch gereserveerd, 1300 uur. Na binnenkomst moeten we dwars door een heel drukke zaal met etende gasten naar The Waves. Melden ons om 12.55 bij een desk, worden terug gestuurd naar de bar. Daar krijgen we een (vieze) tafel toegewezen met nog viezere stoelen. Oké, begin is wat minder maar bij onze eerdere bezoekjes ( laatste was ruim jaar geleden ) waren de beleving en het eten goed. Na 10 minuten wachten is er nog steeds niemand van de bediening/medewerkers die bij onze tafel stopt om te vragen wat we willen drinken en/of eten. Als ik weer 5 minuten later bij de bar vraag of het vandaag self-service is of dat er nog iemand naar ons tafeltje komt wordt er in het Engels verteld dat ze het druk hebben maar zo komen. Ik stelde de vraag overigens in gewoon Nederlands. Als er na 20 minuten nog steeds niemand van de medewerkers zich bij ons tafeltje heeft gemeld staat er met grote letters ERROR op mijn voorhoofd te lezen en verlaten we het pand. Maar ook dat zal vast niemand opgemerkt hebben. Op de boulevard gaan we in een lunchroom die minstens zo druk is naar binnen, worden welkom geheten en genieten van een lekkere lunch. Ik stuur thuis toch nog even een mailtje naar het Kurhaus met het bericht dat we het jammer vonden dat het misgelopen is. Maar, tja.....ook daar is niet op gereageerd. Kurhaus, the Waves, helaas in de golven ten onder gegaan.

Had something here on December 29. The location and building are beautiful. However, the service is not worthy of a 5 star location. Slow, inattentive and ignorant. Tables are not cleared or are not cleared late, they are not wiped and you have to ask to be served. Bad.

The food was great, the service was really crap except for a boy named Hamza, he knows what he is doing and does his best!

Het eten was heel erg lekker! Royale porties. De bediening is van goede wil, maar deze avond ontbrak het duidelijk aan leiding. Het verliep allemaal nogal chaotisch. Het was uiteindelijk nog lastig om van ons geld af te komen 😉. Op het laatst zag je niemand meer. Na tien minuten wachten zijn we maar brutaal de deur van de keuken ingelopen om iemand te vinden zodat we konden afrekenen. Conclusie: nog het e.e.a. voor verbetering vatbaar, maar het eten was heerlijk!

Goed enough for a casual lunch and a drink. A macaron is a nice bonus to a cup of coffe. Nice atmosphere inside on a colder day. Shrimp salad was ok, but I expected some more taste and a richer portion (e.g. more shrimps or maybe a bit if bread). On another occasion I had a ham & cheese tosti which was good.

We tried 3 courses menu and I can't forget the taste of chicken curry soep. It was amazing. The quality of food was high and the staff was so polite and helpful. Our dinner time accompanied by a nice sunset at the beach which we could enjoy it from the restaurant view.

High Tea gereserveerd voor 5 personen. (2 volwassenen en 3 kinderen). Enigszins bevreesd door de recensies hadden we onze verwachtingen wat aangepast… Dat was gelukkig niet nodig! Heerlijk gegeten en gedronken. Binnen 5 min een drankje, vervolgens binnen een kwartier eten + uitgebreide uitleg. Ook een goede ervaring door de vriendelijke, snelle en correcte zorg en bediening door Hamza!

Samen met mijn partner hebben wij heerlijk gezeten en geluncht. Hamza (Nederlandstalig) heeft ons goed en vriendelijk geholpen. Jammer dat medewerkers op het dak naast ons bezig waren met klussen/stofzuigen. dat was minder. Maar dat hield op een gegeven moment op. Het was heel erg rustig, wij waren zo goed als de enige gasten op het dak terras. Lekker uit de drukte! Ik ben blij dat ik de reviews heb genegeerd, want het was een leuke ervaring voor ons!

Wir wurden weder empfangen, noch begrüßt - nach 15min ohne Bedienung und ohne Aufnahme von Getränken, sind wir wieder gegangen….

I had a meeting with my colleagues and everything went perfect. Great services and the food was good. I got the private table to talk with the colleagues and the staff were waiting patiently until the meeting was done. I remembered there were 5 staffs who were on duty on that day (23/03), too bad I only remember 2 persons name (Hamza and Aurora). Overally all of them were great! Keep it up

Extremely disappointing service. Despite calling ahead we had to ask for everything 3-5x times. The high seat I asked for in advance still took very long, especially when you're accompanied by a toddler. After 10 minutes we recieved an absolutely disgusting chair we had to clean ourselves. Also, barely any help regarding the previously discussed allergy was given. The promised allergen card was nowhere to be found, and every single check took about 10 minutes. The soup and sandwiches were served simultaneously instead of separately, like we requested. So everything turned cold very soon. Asparagus soup was very watery. We needed to remind the staff about every single thing we asked for and still had to wait for things like a single cup of coffee or extra pack of butter for 30 minutes while there seemed to be enough staff around. Lastly, the chairs were still dirty from breakfast and drink prices were ridiculously high. Definitely do not recommend!

€5 for a small cappuccino from an automated vending machine with no biscuit. I would have expected more for that price.

High tea gedaan. Het was jammer dat er geen plek aan het raam was; zogezegd gereserveerd maar minstens één tafel bleef leeg de gehele tijd dat wij er zaten. Het eten van de high tea daarentegen was heerlijk! Er zat ook een pompoensoepje bij en een glas prosecco die beide erg in de smaak vielen.

Heel veel personeel die totaal niet weten wat gastvrijheid inhoud. Slecht georganiseerd, de helft loopt gewoon niets te doen. Schande voor het Kurhaus. Ga eens kijken bij jullie collega’s van Des Indes. Die verstaan hun vak.

Service was non existent. We booked a High Tea. It took ages to get seated even though it wasn't busy. It was an hour before we got our food which we had to ask for. 14 euros for two coffees that were cold is outrageous

Voor het eerst een High Tea gedaan. Vouchers had ik via Social Deal gekocht, wellicht dat het daardoor teleurstellend was? Bij Kurhaus denk je aan goede service en luxe maar dat was het dus abosluut niet. Eten was karig en niets bijzonders. Service was slecht, we hebben moeten wachten op een tafel, heet water werd neergezet en pas 30min later kregen we thee zakjes. Niemand kwam vragen of we meer heet water wilden. Jammer...maar nooit meer.

Kurhaus, dus je denkt: Luxe. Viel dat even tegen.Totaal geen sfeer in het restaurant. Een eetcafé is zoveel gezelliger. Geen mens te bekennen, dus gezellig op het terras gezeten, dankzij het mooie weer. Een half uur op ons drankje moeten wachten, na 3x vragen, terwijl er weinig gasten waren. (en daar tegenover ‘veel personeel’) Wij hadden een cadeaubon gekregen, maar konden maar uit 3 voor-hoofd & nagerechten kiezen, voor de prijs van € 42,50. Mijn lief en ik zijn geen viseters, er was een gerecht met kogelbiefstuk en een vegetarisch gerecht, dus weinig keus. Het voorgerecht en het dessert waren goed. Toch echter bij het hoofdgerecht, slappe frites, die niet heet waren. Hoezo frites in het Kurhaus? Lekker goedkoop. Ikzelf heb mijn hoofdgerecht terug gegeven, want er moest een gepocheerd ei op, maar dit was een gekookt ei, plus, dat het gerecht niet warm was. Daarna een goed warm gerecht gekregen, maar het ei was nog niet helemaal oké. Plus, dat mijn lief & ik niet tegelijkertijd hebben kunnen eten. Het begon al schemerig te worden, dus wij vroegen een gezellig lichtje-kaarsje voor op onze tafel. Nee, dat hebben we niet. Nog nooit meegemaakt, dat een restaurant, of terras geen sfeervolle verlichting heeft op tafel. Wij hebben dan ook geen fooi gegeven. Wel waarderen wij de 2 Nederlandse meisjes, die ons heel vriendelijk hebben geholpen en die echt met ons te doen hadden. Graag hadden wij hen fooi gegeven, maar aangezien zij al weg waren, hebben we dit niet gedaan. Nog een nadeel: het personeel binnen, spreekt alleen Engels. Nou, wij spreken Nederlands!

Eten goed en lekker(voor de meeste) maar bediening waardeloos. Biefstuk rauw besteld en werd doorgebakken geserveerd Ook was bij iemand de maaltijd niet compleet. Borden werden afgehaald terwijl er nog iemand aan het eten was. 2 mensen vroegen om drinken en er werd een hele nieuwe ronde voor iedereen neergezet. Na de klacht hebben we wel deze ronde niet hoeven te betalen

Dankzij de fantastische bediening en service van jongeman Hamza hebben wij ons bezoek positief ervaren.

Essen klasse. Service nicht dem Gauß entsprechend. Sind freundlich aber kaum anwesend.

Mooie uitzicht op Scheveningen, heerlijk eten. Live piano muziek in het restaurant. Fijne plek om te eten en overnachten.

Service was écht belabberd, we hebben een uur op onze thee moeten wachten. Geen uitleg bij de hightea. We werden zonder een woord naar een tafel begeleid, daarna was een half uur wachten voor iemand drankje bestelling kwam opnemen en excuses aanbood. Ondanks dat ik bij de reservering en bij binnenkomst de dieetwensen en allergieën had doorgegeven, kregen we iets voorgeschoteld wat niet kon. Het vervangen ging vervolgens ook 3x mis. Tafel was ook niet goed gedekt, lepeltje ontbrak, maar werd ook na excuus 30 min later pas aangeleverd. Een Ober kwam langs met een hightea tray, maar wist niet wat hij voorschotelde, wist alleen te vertellen dat het goed was. Daarnaast hadden we beiden nog trek naderhand, te weinig eten voor een hightea. Ook de variatie, kwaliteit en originaliteit ontbraken. Drie jaar geleden was het nog een leuke ervaring, jammer dat in het bijzonder de service zo slecht was.
