A great restaurant with a really cool atmosphere. We just don't think the price is right for the food you get. But we still enjoy coming here.

Nice industry vibe in the restaurant (like Strijp-s in Eindhoven). Good food as well.

After 45 years in education, I had my farewell party here with my colleagues. We sat in the cozy conservatory with grapevines, enjoying coffee, drinks, and appetizer platters. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Afterward, we took a walk around Noordkade. It's highly recommended!

We had a reservation for lunch, and the food was good. The staff were all mixed up, confused by who at each table had ordered what. If you had a half-full glass, they'd ask if you'd like something else. If you said you'd finish your drink first and then ordered something else, you'd be in for a rude awakening. We sat with an empty glass for over 45 minutes, and no one asked if we'd like another drink. After 50 minutes, we left and paid. When we paid, they weren't even asked if everything was to our liking. I gave my own opinion about my experience. In short, the staff really failed us, and they're losing revenue because of it.

Friendly atmosphere and top-notch service. The food… I'll put it this way: the best steak of my life! I'll definitely be back often.

What a disappointment! After enjoying the drinks platter outside with friends on a beautiful summer day last year, this time – cold weather – we had a 'shared lunch' indoors for four people. The package included a delicious soup starter, ONE bread roll with 6 (!) buns, and a platter with each person serving a bitterbal, two mini slices of sausage, a see-through slice of cheese, two slices of roast beef-like meat, and a mini bun of something resembling a meat salad. All of this was 'garnished' with a large portion of unprepared, useless, and tasteless lettuce. When we asked for a second bread roll after a while from the completely disinterested and incomprehensibly mumbling staff, we had to wait half an hour for it, while someone came to our table every ten minutes to ask if we needed to order something else. And all that for a total of 84 euros! The coffee, by the way, was excellent. This was our second, but definitely our last, visit to Wittern; what a rip-off!

Good price quality ratio, most staff very friendly.

Unfortunately, it was a very bad experience, and we mentioned it three times while eating/drinking. We were told they would pass it on. Unfortunately, nothing was done about it. Never again for us.

We made a reservation for 6:30 pm tonight. After ordering the schnitzel for both of us, we were told they didn't have any more satay, only steak and lamb neck. Well, we didn't need that. It was 6:30 pm early in the evening and they were out of meat. Last time it wasn't great, but now they've completely lost it. What a crappy restaurant.

This time I didn't eat in the restaurant, but last Saturday I celebrated a party at Wittern's grand café. It's a truly fantastic, atmospheric venue with a creative layout and plenty of customization options, including the decor, food, and drinks. The staff were cheerful and friendly, both during the party preparations and on the night itself. Highly recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed my farewell lunch at the Silobar. And I clearly had a GREAT time. The service was incredibly friendly, and our hostess, Demi, was especially fantastic! The lunch was served simultaneously for 20 people, and everyone agreed it was delicious! A wonderful atmosphere and an unforgettable farewell. Thank you, Team Wittern, what a gift!

I got married in Veghel this summer. The night before our wedding I asked if I could bring 19 loud (but friendly ;)) canadians to the restaurant and I was incredibly impressed. I can't thank the staff and the venue enough for the care. We all recieved our food hot and at the exact same time which was impressive for such a big group and we got the kindest wishes from the restaurant for our wedding the next day. This dinner meant so much as it was the first time seeing some of our guests that flew all the way here so thank you for being a part of a few days that were so special to us. Funnily enough, it was this very restaurant where my husband asked my parents for permission to marry me a few years ago, so it will always be a place of good memories for us. Thank you.

Very nice location with terrace, good food and friendly service

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch here last Monday. We booked online in advance just to be safe. The weather was beautiful, so we sat in the conservatory—it's gorgeous and the atmosphere is fantastic! After some drinks and lots of conversation, we finally placed our order. They had already been there three times to ask, but it was no problem at all. The staff were very friendly and patient. We will definitely be back!

A good place to eat, it was a bit quite due to summer holiday but the speed of the service was not great. Took a long time for service to either come and ask for drinks and between courses. Food was good, compact menu but with some good dishes. The presentation was nice, good portions too.

Nice industrial location. Spacious layout. Friendly staff, some of whom are inexperienced. The food looks good in terms of presentation, but the flavors are average. They use a lot of salt, instead of letting the ingredients shine. Furthermore, the menu seems designed for quick-serve dishes. The desserts were a bit disappointing; they weren't freshly made.

Nice place to have a drink. It's always a bit nerve-wracking, though, how long it takes to get your order.

Unfortunately, I'm familiar with Wittern's many stories about poor/mediocre food, slow service, etc., but my personal experience is different. Last Friday, I dined at Wittern, where we received a friendly welcome and were fortunately able to sit in the conservatory without a reservation. I had tried to book in advance by email, as the website requires, but they didn't respond with an apology until Monday, so that's something I could improve. The woman who served us (blonde, hair pulled back, good teeth) and the young man (tall (?), short brown hair) were both extremely friendly, cheerful, and fun to have at the table. They both had a good sense of humor, too. In our case, the food arrived on time (or maybe I just didn't keep track of the time because of my company <3). My satay was really tasty, but I'm not sure about his veggie pillows. He claimed they were, but I got the impression the crust was rock hard, haha. All in all, it was a wonderful evening in a lovely atmosphere. A good floor manager might be a necessity (given the reviews), but personally, I didn't experience any problems.

The first time we ate there, things didn't go well. It happens. When we pointed this out, they handled it very professionally and invited us back. We did, and it was excellent. A very warm welcome and good service. And there are some lovely dishes on the menu for vegetarians like us. No standard stuffed peppers or truffle risotto like the ones you see everywhere. In short, highly recommended! Definitely go there.

I've eaten here many times before and really enjoyed it. Recently, I went here again (twice in a row), and unfortunately, the quality of the food had deteriorated dramatically. The first time, we had tuna as a starter. It looked like it had just come out of the freezer—watery and tasteless. The next time, we chose a salad, and that, unfortunately, wasn't a success either. How can you even use so much dressing that the salad is practically swimming in mayo and you can't taste what you're eating? So much greasy food is sickening. Such a shame, because the ambiance is good, the terrace is beautiful, and the service is friendly.

We went to the table at 17:30. At 17:45 we had ordered our food and bread in advance. The bread took almost half an hour, after asking it was there within 1 minute. We also got the food at 18:55 after asking. We had the movie at 19:30 and were still looking forward to a dessert. But we didn't order anymore because of the time pressure and previous experience. The staff is friendly, works hard but somewhere something is not right. This costs you income and good reviews with a theater and cinema next door. I am not the first with that experience. It is a beautiful business, it will be even better if you improve this point.

Went here once with a reservation and it was fantastic. The food blew my mind (vegetarian dishes often suck) and the service was great. I loved it so much I went again weeks later, without a reservation, just for drinks and snacks. Intended to be there for half an hour, was there for almost an hour because of all the waiting. Service was nice, just incredibly slow. But then again the food was so good it felt worth the wait.

Mooie locatie maar bijzonder matige keuken. Met weinig fantasie gemaakte gerechten. Carpaccio volgespoten met mayonaise en eenzijdige sla en een vegetarisch gerecht met wat pasta, pompoen sausje erover en wat pitjes en blaadjes sla erbij. Triest. Aardige bediening, maar er werden eerst 2 borden op tafel gezet en 5 minuten later kwam het derde bord. De cappuccino en frietjes waren gelukkig goed. Voor mij voorlopig geen Wittern om te eten

Nice environment. Nice operation. Food ok but a bit sparse including few supplements. Relatively expensive. Also the drinks. All in all too expensive for what is offered.

There are meager portions at lunch. With bread and croquettes you literally get one thin slice of bread cut in half and the rest of the plate is filled with dry salad. Not recommended.

We made a reservation at 6:30 PM and didn't get our food until 8:00 PM!!! The pre-dinner sandwich also took 45 minutes to arrive. Friendly service, who tries to make the best of it. Poor kitchen organization. The food was lukewarm and tasteless. The fries and the cava excellent. Too bad about the beautiful atmospheric place.

The food was no more than fair. The service couldn't handle it at all. There was no one inside, outside was quite full. It lasted and lasted. Everything came in stages. Don't eat deserts at the same time, not even at the same time as coffee/tea. Staff doesn't look around, walks with 1 thing on a tray or empty tray. They are friendly! And the location looks nice. There appears to be a lack of instruction.

1 De service laat echt te wensen over. Personen die later kwamen werden eerder geholpen. Hebben een uur moeten wachten op onze lunch, terwijl andere mensen die na ons arriveerde het reeds al hadden en bijna al op. Serveerster vroeg bijna 10 keer of wij nog wat wilde drinken. Hierop hadden wij aangeven dit te willen bij ons eten. Toen onze lunch werd geserveerd werd niet meer gevroegd voor drinken. Wij wilde wat bestellen maar de serveerster was in geen velden of wegen te vinden. Uiteindelijk drinken besteld en dat kwam net voordat het eten op was. De salade geitenkaas is echt een gerecht voor geiten. Heel veel sla. Dit is een ervaring die wie niet graag nogmaals willen ervaren. Dus absoluut geen aanrader.

Sateetje gegeten. Was echter meer vet en weinig vlees. Niks varkenshaas-saté, maar waarschijnlijk goedkoop, te vet ingekocht varkensvlees. Maar wel 24 euro aftikken. Gemiste kans. Kom ik niet meer. Jammer.

Reserved via the EscapeRoom Veghel. Delicious food for a great price. We were a group of 9. Food came nice and quickly. Cooperation between the staff is good. The large schnitzel is recommended. Also tasty fries.

A beautiful, atmospheric location in an industrial atmosphere. Went here for a team outing and it was definitely worth it. There is plenty to do, good food and pleasant drinks.

Been here twice during pregnancy. Ordered lunch for the first time (12 o'clock) with the question whether this could be done in a pregnancy-proof manner, that was no problem. However, I received the dish with an egg where the yolk was still intact. This was quickly resolved. The 2nd time we ordered a 12-hour meal again, this time twice for a friend who is pregnant, asking whether this could be done in a pregnancy-proof manner, which was again no problem, but we again received an egg that was not suitable to eat during the pregnancy. pregnancy, this was also quickly resolved. After lunch we ordered the Wittern platter with - as stated on the menu - sweet treats and a cup of tea/coffee. Next come the boards, half of which consist of liqueurs. It's a shame that the staff did not indicate when ordering that half of it was not suitable for use during pregnancy (I am almost 30 weeks pregnant so it was also clearly visible). The solution also left much to be desired, they could not give us more than the standard cookie that was given with every cup of coffee instead of the liqueurs. We had to pay full price for this. Very missed opportunity. I won't go back here while pregnant or with friends who are pregnant. I don't think there is much flexibility to think along or give advice during a pregnancy and the same mistake made several times is not customer friendly.

Twelve hours with fish was well prepared. The crab salad was fresh and the shrimp croquette also contained pieces of shrimp. Service was fast and made sure everyone got a drink.

Gezellig met vrienden wezen eten. Leuke locatie,maar waar je voor komt, nl eten, dan is het een domper. Nog niet de helft opgegeten, smaakte niet. Plus een minischaaltje sla en een mini frituurbakje friet voor ons allen. Je kon bijbestellen, maar dat is niet prettig.

Unfortunately, you are here like a ghost. despite a large number of waiters and an empty room on Monday. no one will approach you with the card for 20 minutes. strange situation, too bad. the restaurant is nice and has potential. the manager should hold a meeting and think about changes in the staff or their work efficiency.

The ambience is very nice, but I found the portion a bit small. The volume when there are a lot of people in the room is way too high for me.

Kabelauw was niet op smaak,vooral een ondefinieerbaar sausje.De rest was ook niet echt spectaculair ,saai.1 mandje friet ,1 bakje sla voor 6 personen.Komt niet gastvrij over .Je mag altijd bij bestellen maar dat kost ook weer tijd ect. dankzij een paar dure stukken breekbrood toch voldoende gegeten.Maar volgende keer toch maar ergens anders .

Super location in the Noordkade. What really stood out were the friendly girls and boys who served. Clearly enjoy their work. You'll be happy to come back for that. At least I do. Wat we vandaag meemaakte. Met vrienden aan het fietsen stoppen bij Wittern en een van ons valt van fiets met als gevolg een open beenwond. Hulp gevraagd in het restaurant en we werden geweldig geholpen, been verbonden daarna door personeelslid naar huisartsenpost gereden en daar zeer goed geholpen. terug naar restaurant en ons gewonde vriendin die niet meer kon fietsen door personeel van Wittern met fiets naar huis gebracht waarvoor heel veel dank.

We hadden dit restaurant als tip gekregen, het zou ook leuk zijn voor de kinderen (glijbaan en kippen in de buurt). Dat was inderdaad zo. Het eten was prima. Een speciale pluim voor de kok die mijn uitsmijter maakte. Ik stond daar bij de keuken even te kijken, noemde een speciale wens voor mijn uitsmijter en de kok ging het direct uitvoeren. Met Brabantse gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid. Speciaal vanwege deze pretiige ervaring met de kok schrijf ik een review met 5 sterren.

Wij komen uit Veghel en zijn al vele malen hier geweest. De ligging is handig en het is een fijne plek om te eten. Maarrrrrr…… als je vegetarisch bent is dit geen plek om naar toe te gaan. Geen flexibiliteit om je te helpen om iets samen te stellen en de vega kaart is echt heel slecht. Alternatief voor de vega-kaart was poffertjes volgens de ober……… dat zegt genoeg. Eet je vlees dan is het een prima leuke plek, maar er zit nog zoveel potentieel in de tent…! Personeel reageert niet op de feedback btw…. Kortom… beetje jammer allemaal.

What is it about this case that something happens every time? In the past we wanted to have lunch here once, but we left because after half an hour we were still waiting for someone to come and take an order. Later we also had lunch or drinks here a few times and it was fine. But yesterday we ate here again and it was not satisfactory. After we sat at the table it took a while before we got the menu. Not insurmountable, but it could have been a bit smoother. After ordering, we waited half an hour for the starter. it was busy, so nothing wrong with that. When the main course was served later, my wife ordered a spa red. But it was forgotten. Can happen. But when I tried to contact the service, it didn't work. Simply because the ladies served or picked up something somewhere, turned around and walked away. There was no looking back. Even in the meantime, the tables and guests were not looked at. So when we were almost done with the main course, I got up and walked forward to steal the drink. When the plates were empty, they sat on the table for a very long time before they were picked up. The rosemary sea salt bread with dip and spread was really delicious! The starters, the beef carpaccio and the pork belly and scallop, were very tasty. The latter was especially surprising. Unfortunately, the salmon as a main course was bland in taste. It was also close to being overcooked. The veggie bowl was well filled and very tasty. The location and the business itself is an eye-catcher. A really nice spot. Spacious. and very nicely lit at sunset. The food is fine to tasty. The organization can really improve. You can also read this in many other reviews over a longer period of time. Lots of waiting, mistakes, forgotten work. Shame.

Didn't eat but the website says they are open on Mondays. If we come there on Monday with 6 people, the restaurant is closed. If you don't bother to adjust your website, then you are not worth 2 stars. So: Bye!

Ging een hapje eten met zakelijke relaties na een lange werkdag. Was een teleurstellende ervaring (terwijl ik hier eerder uitstekend heb gegeten).. Personeel wist weimig van wat er op het menu stond en het eten was allerminst aan de maat! Hoogste tijd om de kwaliteit van hetgeen geserveerd wordt aan te pakke! Ik zal een bezoek aan de Witterm nu niet meer aanraden en kom hier voorlopig ook niet meer terug. .

Had dinner at Wittern last night. Food was very average. Service rushed. We are still waiting for the wine and dessert menu. They didn't really find that annoying. A single 'sorry'. This meal for 3 people with one drink per person was certainly not worth 100 euros. Shame. It was really a lot better.

Food was delicious, but we had to wait so long, even though it was not full. After half an hour of ordering (after having to walk to the bar twice to request to order), another half hour later soup from 1 guest (first the wrong soup). Asked twice if the food was almost ready. That would be the case, but not until almost half an hour later. So after almost an hour and a half, something was on the plate. And then cutlery still had to be found. In the meantime, all empty glasses and bottles remained on the table and were not collected when something new was brought. Too bad, we didn't have time for dessert and it didn't feel very welcome.

Food is good, service leaves a lot to be desired. Bar personnel makes mistakes when ordering drinks, forgets drinks, goes to kitchen for information to never return, et cetera. Been here couple of times, and it's the same every instance.

Heb vanaf de beginperiode diverse keren gegeten bij Wittern en het begint erop te lijken dat het ze te goed/gemakkelijk lijkt te gaan. Omdat de ambiance uniek en zeker erg leuk is, lijkt het alsof Wittern denkt zich te kunnen permitteren het eten (waar het toch zeker ook om gaat) een lagere prioriteit te geven (gasten komen toch wel omdat je er zo ontzettend gezellig zit). De porties zijn echt onder de maat: als je met twee personen gaat eten krijg je dezelfde hoeveelheid bijgerecht als met vier personen. Wij kregen bijvoorbeeld een qua formaat 'vingerhoedje' salade voor vier personen...... en een miniatuur bakje frites. Verder zit bij de vlees- en visgerechten echt minimaal garnituur op de borden, dus dan moet je het qua groenvoer doen met ieder een blaadje sla...... Mijn schnitzel was gortdroog en taai. De bediening was bijzonder vriendelijk, maar kwam bijna ongepast vaak vragen of we nog wat wilden drinken. Kortom: kom op Wittern, zorg dat het eten weer meer liefde en aandacht krijgt en zorg voor wat grotere porties, want dit lijkt erg op beknibbelflatie.

Good day dear people who read this. I have been through a lot, but how a complaint is handled by the staff here is inhumane. I ordered a starter, the dish was not prepared properly and the quality of the food was poor. That can happen at some point, I understand, but when I said something about it, the waitress got angry and said I will ask the cook and I will get back to you shortly, so that didn't happen. Instead, they consulted with 3 members of staff and intimidating from a distance constantly looking at our table just you look outside. for me this is the worst experience I ever felt in my life. intimidated and belittled worthless staff and for me a bad experience. Worst tent ever, I would say throw out your staff and hire new ones otherwise your tent will be closed in 2 years.

Goede keuken en geweldige sfeer, maar bediening echt onvoldoende. 5 minuten wachten voordat je een kaart krijgt en erom moet vragen , menukaart onder eetvlekken van vorige klant, schnitzel zonder paprika was niet mogelijk, lang wachten op een drankje en bij afrekenen werden de pepermuntjes op tafel gegooid. ,

Very nice location, nice informal atmosphere and great service: friendly, pleasant and enthusiastic. Highly recommended if you want to get away from it all. The food is also well prepared.

What a disappointment! Bad staff, NOT friendly or welcoming but blunt and curt. We had to ask at the bar if we could order something to drink. Regularly empty glasses. Starter boring simple and tasteless. When we want to order the Chefs Steak, we are suddenly told that it is not available (it is advertised extensively on the menu, so we were looking forward to this). Significant difference in weight of tournedos which was ordered 5 x 200gr. The main course tasted fine, but all very poor for that price. We choose a delicious bottle of wine for the evening, but it was also out of stock halfway through and had to switch to something else. Beautiful atmosphere and we had a nice time... But Wittern is disappointing!

Fireplace is nice, but handy when you turn it on. Staff, I understand that there are shortages, but some people do not belong in the catering industry.

Love the huge atmosphere here. My sister Amae is working here and she’s a great waitress. Highly recommended for company dinner, meeting, and fun time to escape event. The drinks are super delicious. I love the carpaccio, and the soft juicy beef. I will go here again and again . I give 5 stars . Also order the oysters they have also ceviche

Spacious and warm environment. Good food and fast service.

We had our wedding party here on December 22. Both in the run-up to the party and the evening itself, Lieke, Claudia and the rest of the team did everything they could to make our day as beautiful, perfect and carefree as possible. Everyone thought along and did everything they could to create the bridal party we had in mind. It was beautiful, they took care of all the tasks, the food was delicious, all the guests were more than happy and we had a wonderful party. Thank you team Wittern, and an extra round of applause for Lieke and Claudia ❤️ We really recommend everyone to have their (wedding) party here!

With a small menu, this restaurant makes it special. Warm welcome and nice atmosphere. The industrial look works perfectly and adds to the experience.
