The only thing that was somewhat okay was the stir-frying itself, but even that wasn't great; our entire family came away from here feeling nauseous and with diarrhea. Everything was dirty: the sushi wasn't cold enough, the dessert tongs were dirty, the melon was overripe, the griddle tongs were duct-taped, the ground was filthy, the toilets weren't clean, and so on. We are never coming here again.

Great food, and nice atmosphere!

Rarely have I seen such a bad 'restaurant'. On vacation in Slagharen with the family, you end up at 'all you can eat' for convenience. Aware of the low standards and gluttony mentality, we are still devastated by the disappointment. If the 'warehouse' doesn't make you turn around upon arrival, the dirty (greasy) shabby interior, slippery floor, and romantic view directly onto a highway certainly will. Go for it, you're with the family! The selection is mediocre compared to others, the quality is low: Herb butter crumbles, salads are really nothing special, mozzarella is just plastic. A wok dish where they manage to dry out the chicken and give it a burnt taste (wok dirty perhaps). A second attempt with tenderloin yields the same result; the curry sauce actually barely tastes like anything. How about a steak then? 2 slices of meat a few millimeters thick... okay, this might be their specialty; it was actually well-seasoned, wafer-thin, and tasted good, but not my interpretation of steak. While waiting for the steak, I noticed that the top slices of bacon looked a lot greener than the rest underneath. Not good! Even the desserts are bad. Spekkoek is sticky, undercooked, and tasteless; the banana cream puffs are steaming with sweat, and the hard crust on the chocolate mousse betrays that it is old. The ice cream had crystallized. We arrived around 5 o'clock (because of the little one) and barely lasted an hour. We were not the first to leave, by the way. The toilets are dirty, old, and broken. We didn't even bother to file a complaint; if you don't take your own place seriously, you're not going to listen to us either. Were there any positive points? That's true, which is why they still get that one star: Bitter lemon available (but at room temperature) The lady who came to pick everything up was very friendly! They had kids' plates, that was very smart! The canned fruit was well-seasoned!

A large, spacious restaurant, where it was very quiet today, but I can imagine it gets packed during holiday periods. That was possibly also the reason why the dishes in the buffet, which were already ready, looked just so-so. Herb butter that had clearly melted and been chilled again, mayonnaise that had a strange texture, and a chicken soup with a cloudy appearance and a thick skin on top, as if it had been kept warm unused for a long time. The dishes for the wok, grill, or teppanyaki, on the other hand, looked deliciously fresh and were prepared deliciously as well. Because you are right there, you also know exactly what has happened to them. Unfortunately, our youngest threw everything up at the end of the meal. A combination of too tired, too busy, too much mixed up? Anyway, it can happen. But we were asked to clean this up ourselves, with... napkins and baby wipes. Sorry, but that is truly too bizarre for words. We are certainly not too reluctant to clean it up ourselves, but just give us a bucket of soapy water and a large cloth. You wonder what they use to clean with themselves. Now I'm also thinking, that pungent smell in the toilet... Could that be the reason? I doubt we'll be going back here anytime soon.

A lovely wok restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal! The wok section might not be very large, but don't let that mislead you. The restaurant itself is actually huge, even having an upstairs area! If you arrive early in the evening, the selection is truly vast, and everything is fresh and well-stocked. You can wok, grill, and there is a wide range of other dishes. The sushi was surprisingly tasty and definitely recommended! There is a small play area available for children. As a parent, you don't have a direct view of it, but our children had a great time there. Of course, they also enjoyed their meal. The dessert buffet topped off the evening perfectly. Serving your own soft serve, enjoying a chocolate fountain, and delicious scoop ice cream... that is a real treat for both children and adults. We had an incredibly delicious meal and a lovely evening. The price-quality ratio is excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended if you are in the Hardenberg area!

Picked up food, it had little flavor

The food there is terrible, inedible: lukewarm soup, bland salad, a bland snack that isn't even the right temperature, chicken with pieces of blood still in it, mayonnaise that is sour and warm, spareribs that a hyena would struggle to pull the meat off and are cold, chicken satay that isn't even the right temperature, and prawn crackers that are soft and at least a week old. All in all, don't go here and save the 85 euros I spent on the garbage and a terribly unhygienic place. In short, it's called Wok Inn; they should just change the name to Wok Away. A mediocre experience! We were relatively early (5:30 PM), but many dishes were already no longer nice and warm (absolutely not the required 60°C or higher). And 2.5 hours later, these dishes still hadn't been refreshed (for example, Babi pangang and Foeyonghai). The bestsellers (such as fries, etc.) are constantly replenished and are therefore warm. The chefs can prepare a nice piece of meat for you! But when you start with the desserts, you are left disappointed. Almost all thawed "frozen" desserts, with only a few types of fresh fruit. The finishing of the building (cable installation, air conditioning, etc.), the back entrance, and the garden all look very messy and amateurish, showing a lack of care or attention. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

I ate here last weekend, but unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience. The food didn't seem fresh, and that same evening I suffered from severe nausea and digestive issues. The hygiene and quality of the food also didn't impress me. Unfortunately, this is not a place I will return to.

Longtime Hardenberg resident and the Wok has been there for years, but unbelievable, how much this place has deteriorated. A bleak existence. Half the food is cold, clearly reheated and reused, drinks are served from cartons instead of bottles, and the refills are bizarrely poor. The Wok has lost its glory and has seen better days.

Unfortunately, it's not as good as it used to be. The duck is now cut into small pieces and is completely dry and tough. The chocolate from the chocolate fountain was so diluted it was transparent. The fried dough pastries were better in the past. Beer is again included in the hefty price of 42 euros, but you always have to go to the front to get it. It's still available, but it tasted better before.

You can also pick up food here, we do that regularly and then you get so much that you still have enough for the next day

The food was mediocre, often reheated, and the ice cream was bad, having been frozen too often. Several types were covered in ice crystals. We had a reservation until 9:45 PM. The service started at 9:15 PM. Even the coffee machine was clean by 9:30 PM. We've eaten here before, but the quality is deteriorating rapidly. Several people experienced stomach problems after eating.

We've never had such a bad meal: you have to pour drinks from cartons instead of bottles (how long has it been sitting there?). Never before have we seen such a meager selection of cold appetizers, pizzas come straight from a store-brand supermarket carton, the toppings next to the soups aren't clear, and the herb butter looks awful. And besides, you're sitting in a cafeteria-like space. A real waste of money, considering we were gone within 40 minutes. Such a shame!

Always delicious food at Wok-inn Hardenberg. Excellent value for money. Delicious fresh dishes from the grill and griddle. The sushi is highly recommended. Also very suitable for larger groups, plenty of choice for everyone.

We were helped quickly and shown to a table. We wanted to sit somewhere else, and that wasn't a problem. Plates and other items were collected quickly. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, and several times we had cold food on our plates (even though it came from heated trays), and the taste was also very bland and not very good. My friend did enjoy the grilled meat. The restrooms looked clean, but your shoes stuck to the floor. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

Simply awful. I've never seen meat and fish cooked together on the same plate. So much oil is used for frying, and then there's sauce added when serving, leaving everything swimming in oil/sauce, so to speak. Very unusual. I also confronted them about it, saying, "What are you doing? 😅" Salmon-flavored pork chop, for example. You have to like it. Everything else was mediocre. The wok, the food you could grab, was often gone. Sushi was bone dry or very sticky. Just a 1. Not satisfied.

We're from Heerhugowaard and have already eaten here twice. The people are super friendly, everything is constantly being replenished, and there's a play area for the kids. I give it a solid 5 stars ⭐️

We arrived around 6:15 PM. At the Bali restaurant, they made me wait even though they saw me. When I was about to turn around to leave, someone quickly came to me. This was our first time here. We were dropped at a table, no explanation, nothing. The buffet trays were empty. The food was old. What was really unfortunate was that the sushi was old, the rice was sticky and gluey, the chicken was so pulverized that it fell apart as soon as you touched the sushi, and the wasabi had no flavor. The refills were very meager. We got raw chicken. The chefs didn't know what they were doing. There was always someone looking and stirring the pans when there was nothing in them, like, "Should I refill it or not?" We had some bami with babi pangang, and that was about it. There were plenty of fries and frikandels. We paid €80 for the two of us, which I thought was quite a lot for what you got. They had scant, old stuff, and very little, far too little. Not for us again. I've never eaten so poorly in my restaurant career.

Hopefully this way it works out, we went here for dinner on May 25th from 4:45 pm to 6:45 pm, that evening there was another family with a 4 year old girl, her name was Suus, now 2 months later our daughter still talks about Suus, that she misses Suus so much and that she would like to see Suus again, they played together all that evening, making a lot of noise 😁 we ate together at the table after using the toilet, it was so much fun those two together

We've been to several wok restaurants, but this is by far the worst! First of all, it's quite expensive, there's very little selection compared to other wok restaurants, and some dishes look like they came straight from Aldi! There were six of us, and we left after an hour. The service itself is fine, but the atmosphere, on the other hand, is crammed full, even though it wasn't busy. We were very disappointed and won't be back. The price-quality ratio is very poor!

Our reservation for 8 people at Wok Hardenberg was a huge disappointment. Upon arrival, we discovered that the prices had suddenly increased compared to what was stated on the website. The quality of the food was far from what we expected. The dishes weren't served at the correct temperature, which seriously affected the taste and overall experience. Furthermore, the customer service was subpar. The staff were unfriendly and didn't seem to understand what customers needed. The fact that very little Dutch was spoken made communication very difficult. Everything had to be done in sign language, and if you wanted to express your dissatisfaction, you could only do so in broken English. All in all, I cannot recommend Wok Hardenberg. This experience has convinced me never to return.

During our holidays in Hardenberg we have been to this "Wok Restaurant" more often "as a family". With a group the "All you can eat concept" is fun, cozy and tasty. When I go out for dinner as a single, I usually use a cheaper dinner budget. The staff is nice and helpful.

I’ve been here before, but last night took the cake. The food itself was fine—nothing to write home about, but no food poisoning either—so that’s worth something. But the atmosphere? It was like someone had just put on “Ave Maria” in slow motion. Seriously, I’ve been to more cheerful funerals. Even my fries seemed to be in mourning. If you like silence, awkward stares, and the feeling that you’ve accidentally walked into a meditation class, this is your place. Otherwise, I’d say take your food home and save yourself the internal funeral procession.

We went here yesterday with 7 people. We had made a reservation at 6:30. The reservation went fine and the first impression seemed good. The price for the wok also seemed fine, but we soon found out that the price was actually too expensive for this restaurant. The wok and the teppanyaki tasted great. They didn't really put anything on the grill. There was only 1 person at both the wok and the plate, if they were a bit faster that would be fine. But it really took 20 to 30 minutes at a time at the plate and the wok also took quite a long time. Starters were disappointing. Sushi was not refilled. The steaks were already gone by 7 p.m. At one point there was little meat left. The staff only refilled the ice cream. Herb butter etc. had been reused. We have been to many wok and/or world restaurants, but this was truly the worst we have ever visited. They prefer that you eat ice cream and chips and frikandellen because that was refilled. The play area for the children was clearly old, dirty and broken but the children still played there for a while and enjoyed themselves. The toilet had a very bad smell and there too the soap was already gone at half past six and it was not replenished. If you like to stuff yourself with junk then this is a great place but a nice meal out is not possible here. We prefer to go to Omnia in Drachten. It is €10 more expensive but the quality is really great. Everything is replenished there and it is super neat with a great play area.

I really don't understand some of the reviews below. We've been coming here for years. Food is always good and if there is something wrong with it you just have to ask the staff and they will solve it. There's nothing wrong with the grill, griddle and wok. My children also like to come here and enjoy the desserts.

There was no background music to be heard and regardless of the number of visitors there was a very quiet, boring atmosphere. Then the food. The buffet had very little taste in everything and even among the chefs the only thing that had at least some taste was at the wok. Even the desserts were very disappointing in taste. Smurf ice cream? More like toothpaste ice cream. Me and my girlfriend both suffered from stomach ache and that was not due to the amount of food as we left the tent still hungry. In any case, we will no longer visit this.

To start with the price, in my opinion it is far too expensive, considering the quality. Maybe not, given the amount you can grab, but that's not what I'm here for. A lot of food tastes cheap and doesn't really invite me to eat it again. Although the prawns were okay. Also had the feeling that the tenderloin (or was it just better steak?) was of better quality than last time. I liked the wok sauces by the way, plenty of choice. I think the atmosphere is mediocre, it's okay, but nothing more. The toilets were very dirty, too bad. Only came there to wash my hands. Staff changes quite a bit, one is very enthusiastic and the other would rather go home. The chefs seem to work hard, but do they really feel like it? But, a good place if you want to eat a lot and are more likely to settle for lower quality. Otherwise there are better restaurants in the immediate area 😄

While eating we found a whole piece of plastic in our carpaccio, when we pointed this out we received a soft 'sorry', which we could hardly hear, from a waitress who looked like she wanted to go home. the food was often just cold or undercooked and there was little to choose from. the staff gapes at you when you ask something and are extremely unprofessional. and that for 39 euros pp. please don't spend your money on this people.
