Ate pancakes, good but not special

Cozy restaurant and ate a delicious stew.

We had a delicious pancake. We thought we didn't need to make a reservation on a Wednesday at five-thirty. With a lot of luck, there was a table for two in a mostly empty restaurant... Half an hour later, the whole restaurant was full. So, reservations are recommended. It was quite noisy with all those small children, but that is to be expected at that time with so many campsites nearby. The pancakes were delicious, but as someone from Limburg, I missed the apple syrup ;) Definitely recommended for a meal!

Friendly service. The pancakes were too thin and lacked flavor. I don't think €0.50 for a glass of tap water is acceptable. Especially if you have ordered other drinks as well.

They are double pancakes, so they are truly very full. The service is excellent. The owner is also very helpful. There is a small indoor playground for children, and a few things outside as well.

Friendly service, a cozy atmosphere, and a playground and coloring page for the children. The prices are reasonable. Only the lemonade was a bit less to our children's liking. We had a delicious meal; the mustard soup is truly the best I have ever tasted. The pancakes and the stew are definitely recommended. The staff are very sweet and enthusiastic and regularly crack jokes with the kids. And what hard workers they are, it shows, they are real stars! A small downside was the small jug of syrup: that is already difficult with adults without making a mess, but with kids it becomes a huge disaster. There were also a lot of wasps outside, but luckily we were seated outside.

We ate at the pancake restaurant. Children can play nicely in the playground there. We both ordered the stew. It was not tasty; not recommended. The pancakes were very tasty, and the service was also good.

Delicious food and a very relaxed atmosphere, right in the middle of the woods. And for the recreational traveler, there are campsites nearby, you can play minigolf, and there is ample parking for a stopover.

Nice restaurant for children and families. Mustard soup was delicious. Satay was good but sparsely topped. A small amount of Atjar, no prawn crackers or other Asian elements.

Wow! This is highly recommended. So glad we finally visited after a day at Slagharen with our two children. The friendliness of every single staff member was truly excellent and genuinely visible. No matter how busy it was, this is what good hospitality is all about. Additionally... the best pancakes we have ever eaten. Bravo!

What a lovely place to enjoy a nice meal. If you arrive on time, there is plenty of parking! Once inside, we received a friendly welcome. We were served quickly and they were very helpful. We had a stroller with us. After we ordered our drinks, they were on the table within 1 minute. The food was also brought quickly, really great! Especially if you have children with you ;) We will definitely be back if we are in the area!

From a cozy family outing to a culinary treat: An absolute top-notch establishment! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A few days ago, we already visited De Rheezerbelten in Hardenberg for the pancake restaurant – which was already incredibly cozy and successful back then. But we wanted to treat ourselves even more this week, this time with that touch of pure finesse and culinary quality. So, a few days later, we settled down in their bistro section for the four-course menu. And wow, what a bullseye! My wife enjoyed the accompanying non-alcoholic pairing and I the excellent wine pairing. The food was truly delicious. What really made the evening complete was the welcoming atmosphere and the amazing service; the fun, fitting stories accompanying the food and wines gave the experience just that little extra sparkle. And the best part is: despite the high quality, it remains incredibly hospitable and flexible. Our seven-year-old son came along for the fun and—despite our previous pancake adventure—was allowed to order another pancake. Whether you come for an informal family evening or really want to immerse yourself in luxury and quality: De Rheezerbelten offers it all at the highest level. An absolute five-star experience and highly recommended!

First, we walked the 'Knof de Pad' trail for children. It was fun for slightly older children too! Afterwards, we enjoyed some food and drinks on the terrace!

Great location, nice little playground for children next to the terrace. The staff is friendly; they assisted us well. There are two reasons why we are giving only 2 stars: 1. A guest throws water from his dog bowl into the bucket used to clean the tables. We pointed this out, whereupon the staff thanked us kindly. However, the water was not replaced, meaning tables were cleaned with it. Very unhygienic. Again: the staff is friendly, so no problem there. But hygiene is extremely important in a place where you eat and drink. 2. In our opinion, the owner behaves quite haughtily and, right from the reception, makes a few unjustified assumptions about the children in the party that come across as annoying. A special request that was not passed on is brushed aside instead of a simple apology. A pity.

A very wide selection of pancakes and also a reasonably set section for those who don't like pancakes. In short, there is something for everyone! There were also a lot of people present, which speaks volumes. We also had a birthday boy or girl who received a star and a small gift afterwards. In short, a really nice place.

Looking for a pancake restaurant, we ended up at restaurant de Rheezerbelten for the first time today. There is a nice smoke-free terrace where it is pleasant to sit. The pancakes were not super big, but they tasted and were fine in thickness. The ice creams were also very tasty. The staff was friendly and efficient. We will definitely come back here.

Yesterday we had an incredibly delicious menu, while the children also enjoyed the accompanying dishes. They liked it so much that we had to come back today for the "best tomato soup in the world". We were welcomed very kindly twice by the owner. The rest of the service was also top-notch!

Good food. Friendly staff. The acoustics inside are quite poor though. Especially annoying when it's busy and you can't understand each other well.

We ate at the pancake restaurant in Rheezerbelten. Delicious pancakes. However, a bit small for big eaters. For 3 pancakes (including 1 children's pancake, the same size as the adult pancakes), 3 drinks, and 3 desserts, we spent €71. The terrace is situated on the edge of a forest, where it is lovely to spend time on hot days. Wonderful shade. The little ones have also been thought of, with a very nice playground (attached to the terrace) featuring a sandbox, playhouse, plenty of sandbox toys, and a fun climbing corner with a slide (and even more climbing equipment for older children). And finally, a compliment to the staff. Cheerful, know what they are doing, enjoy what they do, prompt service, and they ask enough about drinks.

The setting is very atmospheric, the pancakes are delicious, and the staff is extremely friendly. Moreover, it is a nice place where children can play. Parking is somewhat limited, so you are often forced to park by the road, but that shouldn't spoil the fun.

We ate pancakes outside on the beautiful and atmospheric terrace. It is also a pleasant place to eat with a 2-year-old child, thanks to the fun nature-themed playground. Quality comes first; minor mistakes (which are bound to happen where people work) are handled charmingly by the owner with respect for the guests as well as the staff.

It was lovely to have drinks outside and then dinner. The falafel with mayonnaise was very tasty.

Very nicely decorated with a tablecloth and decorations, and also in the spirit of Liberation Day and Easter. From the moment you walk in, it feels cozy. We also had a delicious meal, served with homemade syrup. The pancake with warm cherries is highly recommended! Finally, very child-friendly with a fun placemat for entertainment. We were greeted warmly by all the staff upon arrival, which is unusual these days. We had excellent pancakes, enjoyed a comfortable seat, and were served quickly. There is an indoor play area for the children and an outdoor playground as well. Parking is available on-site.

We went to celebrate my husband's birthday today; the food was fine. We spent €250.00. I find it scandalous that for that amount, you don't even do anything for the birthday boy. The children did the scavenger hunt; I had to pay 6.50 per child for that. It wasn't mentioned that adults had to pay as well. Scandalous! Why do parents have to pay? You can't just send your children out on their own. Then the children came back from the scavenger hunt. When they said you're getting a surprise, they came over with a tiny piece of candy that was almost invisible. If a customer spends such high amounts, then as an owner, you should be utterly ashamed to show up with such a small candy. The drinks and cakes are more expensive than elsewhere. We do not recommend this restaurant!!!!

We ate here for the first time with family on Easter Sunday. And it was, in one word, fantastic. Incredibly friendly host, delicious wine, delicious food, and the children had a great time playing in the special children's playroom. I had the pancake with the stew myself. Highly recommended, especially when drizzling a little syrup over it. It's so delicious you'd almost want to eat the plate yourself. We live 25 minutes away in Coevorden, but we will definitely be coming back to eat here more often in the future.

It's not the cheapest option, but the price-performance ratio is absolutely right!! 👍👍👍

Delicious food in a beautiful spot in the woods. The outdoor terrace is also lovely in the summer. It's a bit more expensive at the bistro, but you get a cozy evening in return, with beautiful scenery on your plate.

We really enjoyed the gluten-free pancakes! Safe for people with celiac disease. They even separated the syrup and sugar, so everything was safe and separate from the regular pancakes (which were also delicious). They also had a special menu for people with allergies; there are quite a few options!

Unfortunately, I can't review this restaurant because we couldn't get a seat when we wanted to eat there. It was a private evening, which was a real shame. :-(

I used to come here several times a year for the delicious stew, nicely filled with gravy and chunks of vegetables. However, they've really ruined that. These days, you get a bowl of dry pulled beef (looks like it was microwaved) for a ridiculous price that's disproportionate to what you get (€22.75). This is no stew! (See photo and judge for yourself.) I saw an earlier review where you can clearly see they're cutting back on the food, and it seems to be getting worse and worse. These days, you get a small container of mayo with your fries that barely fits one chip. The same goes for the container of raw vegetables; it wasn't much bigger than my fork. All in all, a major letdown, and we won't be back anytime soon.

We had lunch today, the food was delicious, and the service was very friendly and efficient. There was a nice play area for the kids. For two older people in our group, they moved a chair without asking so they could sit comfortably. Everything was very accessible, spacious, and clean. We'll definitely be back!

We went here on a group outing to eat, drink, and play mini golf. It was well-organized, and we had a separate room where we could all watch football together.

This review is specifically for people with children with disabilities. We've been coming here for years, and the owner and staff are always very helpful and caring for us and our daughter, who is on the spectrum. When you make a reservation, they'll make sure you have a nice spot, and bringing her own drinks is no problem (she only drinks her own syrup in a special cup), and they're always understanding and friendly to all of us. You can be yourself here, and you'll always receive friendly service. VERY HEARTWARMING! The only one who eats pancakes here is our son, and he loves them, but the spare ribs and stews are also fantastic. TIP! Make sure you leave room for desserts because they're delicious!

Super nice bistro, excellent service and a delicious lunch. After lunch we were given a beautiful walking route, we enjoyed it very much.
