Wonderful establishment, beautiful location, varied menu, and very friendly service! Worth the drive.

Great place to eat, be it solo, with family, friends or for business. Great view. I order a grilled salmon with grilled shrimps and fries. Food tasted great. Loved every bit of it. The guy who took my order was well spoken in English and all the waitresses who served my food were amazingly helpful and attentive, they asked my several times if I needed anything else. Also I paid at the reception on my way out, that was new for me but felt kinda nice.

Friendly and nice staff, also for the children (5 & 8). The spare ribs tasted delicious and the fries were good too. A wide selection of draft beers for a restaurant/grand cafe. A real treat! Cozy decor, atmospheric, and in a beautiful location. We will definitely be back!

Delicious, tasty lunch by the beautiful Vecht. Fantastic service. Even for gluten intolerance (not an allergy), the fries are fried in separate oil. Not for nothing the best terrace in the Netherlands. We will definitely be back. 👍🏻😋

UPDATE! After extensive contact with the restaurant, they resolved this incident in a very polite manner. ————————————————— We dined here yesterday, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. During serving, the waitress spilled a drink on us. That can happen, of course, but the way it was handled left much to be desired. They did offer to reimburse the dry cleaning costs, which is actually self-evident, but that was as far as it went. Little effort was made to truly make up for the inconvenience, and the bill showed no form of compensation whatsoever, such as a discount or a drink on the house. We found that disappointing given the situation. The food itself was fine, but due to this experience and the limited service, we will not be returning here anytime soon.

You can have a great meal here. The ambiance is top-notch, and the service is young, friendly, and enthusiastic. The food is well-seasoned, deliciously prepared, and looks like a party on your plate. It turned out to be a lovely evening.

It is an atmospheric and beautiful restaurant in a very beautiful location. There is plenty of choice regarding seating. Both outside on the terrace and inside the restaurant, the tables and seating areas are spaciously arranged. This allows you to enjoy your meal to the fullest. For the children, there is a fun coloring page and menu available. It features dishes that the little ones will certainly enjoy! For adults, there is also a menu with a wide selection. The starters were all to our liking, so choosing was difficult. I went for a delicious vegetarian curry. Since I personally like meat and fish, there was also an option to order a prawn skewer on the side. Delicious! The desserts are also highly recommended. Especially the arretjescake! This was delicious! For the children, there could be a wider choice for dessert. This also didn't go well with our kids. In terms of service, things didn't go entirely smoothly for us. The children's order was incorrect. However, the waitress was new and was being "trained" that day, so naturally, we cannot judge this entirely based on reality. However, we did miss communication regarding this. We had to raise the alarm with other staff members ourselves three times about this. The staff really should have communicated better collectively about how they were going to resolve this.

The spareribs were really top-notch – they literally fell off the bone, exactly as you hope. The seasoned fries were also super flavorful and completed the meal perfectly. Additionally, the Pornstar cocktail was very tasty and well-balanced in terms of flavor. All in all, a very good experience and definitely worth repeating!

Fantastic experience! I had dinner here after my graduation and everything was taken care of down to the last detail. The table was beautifully decorated with garlands and even a personal card; a really nice and thoughtful surprise. Details like that make it extra special.

You can always drop by De Troubadour for a pleasant drink, lunch, or dinner. The high cocktails are also highly recommended, as are the fun bingo nights that are organized there. Plus, the food is delicious!

We are regulars at De Troubadour. It is a beautifully decorated establishment where nice, warm, and hospitable people create a lovely atmosphere. The cooking is done with passion, and the beers, wines, and cocktails are top-notch! Last night we enjoyed a delicious dinner with our family; the most beautiful 'place' in Hardenberg as far as I'm concerned! 👌🏼

The food was incredibly delicious, the portions were very generous, the atmosphere was lovely, the drinks were great, and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, we had some bad luck with our table. While it was very nice and we had peace and quiet, it was a bit of a backseat, so we always needed a bit of luck to order more drinks. Also, on occasion, it took a little longer than usual for the drinks to arrive.

If you're booking for 14 people (unlimited drinks and various snacks) at €40 each, it's a bit disappointing if you only get one drink per hour! The average wait time per drink is fifteen minutes... We've been there many times for lunch and dinner, which was perfect, but this afternoon wasn't exactly a good sign!

We had a drinks package for 14 people: 9 adults and 5 children. The concept is fine, but you have to wait a really long time for your drinks. It takes an average of 18 minutes for a few colas, a few regular beers, and a couple of glasses of wine. We often received half an order. The orders arrived scattered, which is a shame!

The reception was a bit strange this time, not really good, but later it was okay. Food was delicious. Pleasant surroundings as usual, plenty of time and space. A bit crowded and noisy though. The salmon sandwich was more than enough. The fries were deliciously seasoned. Good coffee! Friendly service.

After a pleasant evening with delicious food, we received a polite email thanking us for our visit to the Troubadour. No begging for a review. Simply, "Thank you for being there." We thank YOU for the excellent service, fantastic food, and pleasant atmosphere.

A truly beautiful location! We had a delicious lunch, but we had to wait over an hour for ours. The service at the table was inconsistent. One staff member ran away from us, didn't sense it, and became defensive. We just had to accept it was busy. We did our best, and that was it. Another staff member sensed it and went to the kitchen to check things out. The second time we checked, she apologized and offered us a drink. It wasn't about the drink, but about being heard and seen. Expectation management at the reception would have been helpful. Be open and honest, and perhaps don't take all the tables if you can't handle the kitchen operationally!

We had the chocolate fondue here. It was excellent chocolate and had a lovely setting. It's a beautiful restaurant. And it looks like there'll be a lovely terrace by the water when the weather gets nice. We'd love to come back for lunch or dinner sometime. It looked really good.

Excellent decor, great food, good but small wine list, spotlessly clean and polite staff, on the downside there was no menu in English, however the staff was informative and willing to help us, excellent experience, important to make a reservation to secure table 7!

The ambiance and seating options are good. Service is quick and spontaneous, but they don't always do what they say they will. The dish combinations are absurd. Pastrami with a thick cheese sauce? Tomato soup with black, insignificant pieces of bacon or meat in it? Too many lunch egg dishes (tip: warm ham). The orange juice was sour due to the skin being squeezed in.

We ate here last weekend. We were shown to our table and unfortunately, it took at least 15 minutes before anyone came to ask us for drinks. The service was terrible all evening; no one even asked if everything was to our liking. The starters didn't arrive at the same time, and unfortunately, my steak was overcooked. I didn't tell them, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to eat the main course at the same time. Such a shame! It's a beautiful restaurant, but because of this experience, I wouldn't be returning anytime soon.

Wonderful establishment. Beautifully situated. On the Vecht. Upon entering, you are escorted to a table. Very smart, so the tables are well-occupied. The service is very friendly. We had lunch. I had a sandwich of the day: delicious parfed rice marinated in soy sauce with tasty lettuce. And a kind of pita bread. (See photo) Everything was perfectly arranged. Beautiful view over the Vecht. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. We had to wait an incredibly long time for our lunch: it only arrived after about an hour and a half. After that, we didn't see any staff. When we paid, we weren't asked if everything was to our liking, which is why I'm sharing this review. It's a real shame, because the food was good and the location is beautiful. That's precisely why we expected more from the service.

At first glance, this seems like a cozy restaurant, but once you step inside, it's a flashy place. Every five meters, there's a huge TV blaring. Horrible and completely unnecessary. We held out for five minutes and went to a regular restaurant to eat. The staff is very friendly, though.

I come here regularly because the atmosphere, the food/drinks, and the service are simply fantastic! Last time, my mother and I had a high mocktail, and we enjoyed the delicious drinks and snacks! Highly recommended! In the summer, it's lovely to sit by the water, and in the winter (but that's the case the rest of the year too) it's incredibly atmospheric and cozy inside!

A very cozy and atmospheric restaurant where many celebrations take place. When I was there on Sunday afternoon, all the tables were occupied. I even enjoyed a high cocktail. It included delicious dishes, and the cocktails were excellent.

During the Recreation Trade Fair, we discovered De Troubadour restaurant. The fantastic Christmas lights, decorations, and atmosphere caught our attention. The service, food, and overall experience were so good that we ate there three days in a row. Kudos to the waitress who provided an extra tea bag to take home (because Albert Heijn was already closed). All in all, fantastic, and we hope to eat here more often when we're in the area!

The best place in Hardenberg for lunch, dinner, drinks, or a high cocktail. I go there regularly, and the food is always good and the atmosphere is always cozy! For dinner, it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance.

We were here on a Friday evening, didn't have a reservation, and were lucky to get the last available table for four. It was very busy and accordingly noisy. The atmosphere is great, the staff are very efficient, well-organized, and everyone is very friendly. The children's menu (which also served as a coloring book) and crayons were immediately brought out for the kids, even though the dim light made it impossible to see any colors. But the gesture counts. It would have been great in daylight! The food was also delicious, and everything was fresh! 5 stars! :-)
