Great, every time again, tasty, good service and the atmosphere was good too, although it can get very noisy sometimes.

The food was served quickly, but I would have preferred to wait a bit longer. There were quite a few tendons in the rib-eye, which was not cooked medium as requested but was still red inside. There were also large chunks of that slippery fat still attached to it. What else was on the plate wasn't really worth the effort either. The whisky was served by a girl who had no clue what she was actually serving; it came in the wrong glass and was certainly not a 35 ml. Also, the prices of spirits are not listed on the menu. The staff was nice, but having to wait 10 minutes for a cup of coffee is a bit excessive. In short: very disappointing and certainly not worth repeating.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing lunch at De Troubadour in Hardenberg. We had been here before and had a positive experience then, but today the difference was unfortunately huge. Upon entering, we were not greeted, and throughout our entire visit, there was a complete lack of hospitality and attention. To start with, we had to wait a very long time for our drinks. So long that we eventually had to ask ourselves if the order had even gone through properly. There was no apology or explanation. Subsequently, we had to wait an estimated 40 minutes for our lunch, without anyone coming to tell us in between that it was taking longer. Of course, that can happen once in a while when the kitchen is busy, but then just communicate that to your guests. Then, as a customer, you at least know where you stand. The food itself was also a major disappointment. For my fried egg, I had clearly indicated that I wanted no cheese, but ham. Ultimately, the egg arrived without ham. The bread was dry and tough, the egg small, it had hardly any flavor or seasoning, and there was basically nothing else served with it. The soup was also served without the spring onion that was supposed to accompany it. For the price, we found the whole experience very meager. What made the experience particularly unpleasant was the unfriendly and uninterested service. After the meal, we were not asked if we enjoyed it or if we wanted anything else to drink. We also received no apology for the long wait times or the error in the order. Even upon leaving, there was no "have a nice day" to be had; it was limited to a brief "bye." In the end, we paid nearly €50 for a lunch where we did not enjoy the food and where the service fell considerably short. Very unfortunate, especially since our previous experience at De Troubadour was positive. A mistake or a longer wait can always happen, but a friendly welcome, checking in on delays, an apology when something goes wrong, and a little attention for your guests make a world of difference. Unfortunately, that was completely lacking today. For us, this visit was therefore a major disappointment.

We had a very nice, relaxed evening at the Troubadour; nothing escaped their attention. Despite the busyness, they noticed a light flickering in our corner and came to turn it off. Also, when my friend's son (7) said that Mommy had had her birthday, they brought out some sparklers. When they asked at the end if they could do anything else, we asked if he wanted to give the kitchen staff a compliment. Everything was so flavorful that the salt and pepper on the table were unnecessary. He passed it on right there at the table via his earpiece. We were served with friendliness and a touch of humor, which we love😃

Delicious starter, unfortunately the steak was undercooked on two separate occasions; however, this was resolved properly financially. This review is specifically intended for the waitress who took such good care of me this evening. When I decided not to say anything about it the second time, she admitted of her own accord that the steak was undercooked again. Unfortunately, she had already gone home, but I am writing this way. Intolerances were taken into account well; the service was very careful and attentive in this regard. A particularly pleasant hospitality experience, the likes of which you don't often encounter.

Incredibly bad experience! After consulting with the head waiter, we were allowed to sit at a table for 3 people, nicely in the shade, but were then deliberately ignored. Probably because we were occupying a table for 3 and they would have preferred us to sit at a table for 2 (in the full sun). Still gave 1 star because we left due to their attitude and ended up at Pizzeria Arte Bianca, across the street, where we ate the best pizza in a long time with very friendly service; that is the place to be, highly recommended!!

You are having drinks with two people and your bill is around 200 euros. You are not allowed to order any more glasses of water. Because an extra glass of tap water alongside your drink is too much. (It is 28 degrees outside and you are sitting in the sun).

Unfortunately, I had a less than positive experience at the Troubadour on Sunday. We had used the points reward system. Afterwards, it turned out the receipt was incorrect. While I was discussing this with the employee, he simply walked away several times to escort arriving guests to their seats, even though he was definitely talking to me. And this while my 81-year-old mother-in-law was just standing outside waiting. Eventually, I got €10 back, but it wasn't done willingly and there was no apology! Also, the coffee/tea was only brought 15 minutes after the cake. When we asked for it, it was suddenly brought very quickly (forgotten?), but the cake was already finished by then. In short... a bitter aftertaste!!!

We ate here twice this week. We made a reservation both times, one online and the other by phone. One dinner with 5 people (3 children) and one lunch with the same number. We had a delicious meal here both times. Nice and tasty dishes. There was a separate menu for the children on a coloring page. The service was actually exactly how you want it to be in all restaurants, but often isn't. When ordering wine, they asked if you wanted a glass of water with it, and/or if you wanted a lemon served with it. Small things that provide just that little extra. This restaurant gave you all of that. That is why we also came back for lunch. And here, too, the service was top-notch again. Cheerful staff who really try to strike up a conversation and don't come across as "fake" friendly. It is a beautiful and neat restaurant that already looks incredibly atmospheric; the terrace is lovely too. I would definitely come back here again.

Unfortunately, we had a less than positive experience this time. Several things went wrong at our table. For instance, it took a long time for the bread to be brought, we were not given any menus, the wrong drink was served, and one person only received their drink after the rest had already finished. To finish, we were served a dessert that was almost completely melted. We pointed out a number of these issues, but unfortunately, no apology was offered even once. We fully understand that it was very busy, but it is precisely at times like these that good communication and a friendly response are especially important.

Haven't been there in a long time. But the interior and atmosphere have changed completely. Friendly and nice service. The food was good. The beer list was good too. Especially with the tasty Skik beer from Hardenberg.

Many service errors; plates forgotten. For four people, a sharing dinner was delivered for three; when I pointed this out, they brought the fourth one later. They offered free coffee for this mistake, which was later simply added to the bill. So I pointed out that this was incorrect, but I did get a refund for it. What a hassle.

Great place to eat, be it solo, with family, friends or for business. Great view. I order a grilled salmon with grilled shrimps and fries. Food tasted great. Loved every bit of it. The guy who took my order was well spoken in English and all the waitresses who served my food were amazingly helpful and attentive, they asked my several times if I needed anything else. Also I paid at the reception on my way out, that was new for me but felt kinda nice.

After extensive contact with the restaurant, they resolved this incident in a very polite manner. ————————————————— We dined here yesterday, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. During serving, the waitress spilled a drink on us. That can happen, of course, but the way it was handled left much to be desired. They did offer to reimburse the dry cleaning costs, which is actually self-evident, but that was as far as it went. Little effort was made to truly make up for the inconvenience, and the bill showed no form of compensation whatsoever, such as a discount or a drink on the house. We found that disappointing given the situation. The food itself was fine, but due to this experience and the limited service, we will not be returning here anytime soon.

It is an atmospheric and beautiful restaurant in a very beautiful location. There is plenty of choice regarding seating. Both outside on the terrace and inside the restaurant, the tables and seating areas are spaciously arranged. This allows you to enjoy your meal to the fullest. For the children, there is a fun coloring page and menu available. It features dishes that the little ones will certainly enjoy! For adults, there is also a menu with a wide selection. The starters were all to our liking, so choosing was difficult. I went for a delicious vegetarian curry. Since I personally like meat and fish, there was also an option to order a prawn skewer on the side. Delicious! The desserts are also highly recommended. Especially the arretjescake! This was delicious! For the children, there could be a wider choice for dessert. This also didn't go well with our kids. In terms of service, things didn't go entirely smoothly for us. The children's order was incorrect. However, the waitress was new and was being "trained" that day, so naturally, we cannot judge this entirely based on reality. However, we did miss communication regarding this. We had to raise the alarm with other staff members ourselves three times about this. The staff really should have communicated better collectively about how they were going to resolve this.

The spareribs were really top-notch – they literally fell off the bone, exactly as you hope. The seasoned fries were also super flavorful and completed the meal perfectly. Fantastic experience! I had dinner here after my graduation and everything was taken care of down to the last detail. The table was beautifully decorated with garlands and even a personal card; a really nice and thoughtful surprise. Details like that make it extra special.

The food was incredibly delicious, the portions were very generous, the atmosphere was lovely, the drinks were great, and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, we had some bad luck with our table. While it was very nice and we had peace and quiet, it was a bit of a backseat, so we always needed a bit of luck to order more drinks. Also, on occasion, it took a little longer than usual for the drinks to arrive.

If you're booking for 14 people (unlimited drinks and various snacks) at €40 each, it's a bit disappointing if you only get one drink per hour! The average wait time per drink is fifteen minutes... We've been there many times for lunch and dinner, which was perfect, but this afternoon wasn't exactly a good sign!

We had a drinks package for 14 people: 9 adults and 5 children. The concept is fine, but you have to wait a really long time for your drinks. It takes an average of 18 minutes for a few colas, a few regular beers, and a couple of glasses of wine. We often received half an order. The orders arrived scattered, which is a shame!

The reception was a bit strange this time, not really good, but later it was okay. Food was delicious. Pleasant surroundings as usual, plenty of time and space. A bit crowded and noisy though. The salmon sandwich was more than enough. The fries were deliciously seasoned. Good coffee! Friendly service.

A truly beautiful location! We had a delicious lunch, but we had to wait over an hour for ours. The service at the table was inconsistent. One staff member ran away from us, didn't sense it, and became defensive. We just had to accept it was busy. We did our best, and that was it. Another staff member sensed it and went to the kitchen to check things out. The second time we checked, she apologized and offered us a drink. It wasn't about the drink, but about being heard and seen. Expectation management at the reception would have been helpful. Be open and honest, and perhaps don't take all the tables if you can't handle the kitchen operationally!
