Goed eten mooie ambiance. Lekker op terras aan de mooiste rivier van Nederland de Vecht bijna net zo mooi terras als in Dalfsen bij de fabriek. Schnitzel perfect pokebowl lekker. Bier van moll langharig tuig heerlijk.Eigenlijk een hele mooie kaart waar voor ieder wat wils is. Neem vooral als dessert de arretjescakes Toen het kouder werd savonds konden we binnen zitten. Vlakbij de keuken en spoelkeuken. Daar zit het enige minpunt: geur van de weg gegooide restjes ruik je nogal. Maar een dikke 9 voor de troubadour

We had a delicious meal on the terrace with a beautiful view over the Vecht.

Eten was prima maar geen culinair hoogstandje. De proeverij gehad. De tomatensoep aan de zure kant. Robeer een mosterdsoepje bv Tartaartjes weinig smaak. En pocabowl ook niet weinig smaak. Hoofdgerechten prima alleen biefstuk te taai . Nagerechten lekker. Opmerking; vul de zoutvaatjes aan en let op de hygiëne toiletten overvolle papierbakken geen toiletrol in 1 toilet. Dus daarom graag hierin verbeterpunten. Verder mooie lokatie en leuke inrichting.

Good food, very friendly staff. We'd just ordered a starter and it arrived within fifteen minutes. The staff is always on top of their game. Kudos to you! We'll be back!

We really enjoyed it. I wrote in the online reservation that our daughter was celebrating her birthday there, with absolutely no expectations. Then they placed three helium balloons on the table, wrote a card, and finally, a table fireworks display. The service, drinks, and food were also excellent. We highly recommend it.

Beautiful location! We wanted to have lunch with three people, and our food arrived a long time apart! This has happened to us before... a real bummer!

Friendly staff and a nice location. The fries were served lukewarm, and the pepper sauce tasted stale. We only ate a tiny bit of the sauce. We were told that's how it should taste. Another renowned chef told us otherwise. I slept poorly the next night and had diarrhea the next day. I won't be coming back.

After an evening with colleagues at the Troubadour, I got home. Apparently, the mailman had been. There was a package with some blouses I needed to alter for a wedding later this month. But guess what? The food at the Troubadour was so delicious that my normal size didn't quite fit for a while. I can't give you a better compliment than that. See you next time!

We were curious about the winner of the Terrace special 2025, so off to Hardenberg. It was very busy because of a big event on the Vecht. Paid parking was a 3-minute walk away. Upon entering, we were welcomed very hospitably and directed upstairs where we took a seat on the terrace at a table right by the balustrade. You can order via a QR code. What stands out is a wide selection of 0.0 and flavors of fresh lime. We both chose the ham/cheese omelet. Unfortunately, no choice of bread. It is busy and our eggs arrive more than 25 minutes after ordering. Richly topped white sandwiches with ham, cheese and 3 yolks. Very tasty, just like my berry mint lime. The view is not as beautiful as expected. Although the terraces are located on the Vecht, the buildings of Vechtpark Hardenberg are directly opposite. You can go here for food and drinks for a reasonable price.

I had reserved a table but wanted to sit somewhere else. That was no problem and really great service! I have been here before and every time I notice that the people are so friendly and enthusiastic. Thank you for the nice evening!

Very tasty food on a beautiful terrace!

On our first visit, we were welcomed very hospitably by Romy. A friendly smile made us feel very welcome. On Romy's recommendation, we then took the Dinner Sharing menu. It was excellent! All the staff was very friendly and we were very pleased with our outing. On our second visit (2 days later), Demi was our hostess. What a nice, enthusiastic employee. She and all the other employees walk around with a smile on their face. Whether it is the one who collects a bottle from your table or the one who serves and even the chefs, they all make you feel very welcome. Even Romy came to say hello, even though she was free. The food (mixed grill and steak) was simply delicious again. Even a request outside the menu was no problem at all! My girlfriend and I will DEFINITELY come back here again. Yesterday we ate at the Troubadour, the welcome was very warm, the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. The food, the soup, satay, carpaccio and spareribs were excellent and the Dame Blanche was a surprise. And that for a price that is certainly in proportion to the quality. So a real recommendation.

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! What a young and friendly team that is incredibly friendly. When we made the reservation, we had indicated that it was my husband's birthday. The table was nicely decorated with a thoughtful card, really great! It's a shame that we don't live nearby, otherwise we would definitely come here much more often!

Looking for a restaurant in Hardenberg and visited this for the first time. Friendly and attentive staff, delicious food and a good atmosphere. Went here on June 11 and will come back on Sunday the 15th. And on our next vacation in this area we will definitely come back

We had a nice meal, although I found the waiting time between ordering and serving for some things to be a bit long. But I understand that with a large group it is a bit difficult to serve everything at the same time. Children became impatient, but not annoying. The coloring pages were a plus. Tip: reserve in time, especially with a large group, to avoid disappointment.

We were welcomed hospitably, and led to our place. There was a cozy atmosphere both downstairs and upstairs, and the music in the background was good. We were quickly helped by the staff. The portions were large, and very tasty!! The bill was reasonable, but this of course depends on what you drink and eat. All in all it was great here!!!

Fast service. Lunch recommended. On the Vecht. Parking on Sunday free, other days paid.

Disappointing experience for gluten-free eater, despite allergens menu I had high expectations of this restaurant, partly because they offer a clear allergens menu. As someone who has to eat gluten-free, this gave me a familiar feeling. Upon arrival, I even got a gluten-free bun, which seemed like a good start. Unfortunately, in practice it turned out that the knowledge about gluten-free food left much to be desired. With the starter, doubts arose as to whether the accompanying sauces were gluten-free. The staff could not give a clear answer to this, which made me eat with uncertainty. With the main course, things went wrong again. I ordered the salmon with asparagus, which is gluten-free according to the allergens menu, and also explicitly stated this when ordering. Nevertheless, I was served the dish with fried onions and sauce with the asparagus. When I asked, it turned out that this was not gluten-free, so I got a new plate, but again with sauce. When I asked whether the sauce was now gluten-free, I got the answer: "If it's good, it should be good now." Not exactly reassuring. There was also confusion about the side dishes. The sweet potato fries were supposed to be gluten-free according to the menu, but this turned out to be “only if they are fried separately in a different fat”, which according to the staff “would take too long”. At the same time, the loaded fries were possible, which is strange, because they would also have to be fried separately. In the end, we got two containers of fries, one of which was supposed to be gluten-free (without herbs), but it remained unclear whether it was actually fried separately. Because of the doubt, I ultimately did not eat it. I felt insecure about what was on my plate throughout the entire meal. And for people with a food allergy or intolerance, trust is essential. That trust was lacking here. It would have been very nice if the chef had come to the table and explained how the dishes were made to gain trust. Too bad, because the atmosphere and the concept are promising in themselves, but the handling of allergies really needs to be improved.

Ordered here for the first time to pick up. It is a bit pricey but definitely worth it, and the portion is large enough that you still have some left over for the next day. It's been a long time since I've had such delicious food. We will definitely do this more often!

What an incredibly atmospheric restaurant! We passed by here during a bike ride and decided to have lunch there. The staff was extremely friendly, the menu offered plenty of choice and the asparagus soup we chose tasted excellent.

Since the reconstruction after the fire, the grand cafe of Hardenberg and surroundings. pleasant crowds, excellent menu for all times of the day. Cocktails with and without...nice to sit both inside and outside. Plus point, always well-chosen music in the background

What a very nice and cozy restaurant. Excellent menu with many options. You can argue about the price in the Netherlands, but you know in advance that you won't be able to eat for 50 euros per person, so you shouldn't go out for dinner. Atmosphere is cozy, lots of options to sit. Or outside on the terrace, or on the roof terrace. Everything is nicely decorated. A very small point of criticism is the speed of serving. In our opinion, this could have been a little quieter. Within an hour and fifteen minutes we were able to have coffee. The dishes were served one after the other at full speed. For the rest very satisfied. Definitely recommended and we will definitely come back here again.

Beautiful location on the water and good quality food. However, after a good start, the service was below par. After we first had to ask for our cutlery, we had to ask different waitresses twice for our side dishes and yet we never received them. In any case, it seemed that we were in a blind spot, which also affected our "neighbors", although they still received their side dish after they had finished the main course. Ultimately, after the clearing was not done, I left to pay. With a few euros (certainly not more) discount, I left disappointed.

Op Eerste Paasdag hebben wij met een gezelschap van 13 personen gedineerd bij De Troubadour. De sfeer was prettig, het eten oke en de gastvrijheid voelde oprecht. Kortom: een mooie avond. Toch waren we teleurgesteld over een specifiek onderdeel van de service. Tijdens het diner vroegen we om een karaf water voor de tafel. De serveerster gaf aan dat we ‘tafelwater’ zouden krijgen, maar het werd niet duidelijk gemaakt dat hier kosten aan verbonden waren. Op de rekening bleek dit tafelwater een literfles te zijn waarvoor €5,50 per stuk werd gerekend. We hadden in totaal vijf flessen, wat dus neerkwam op €27,50. Bij een totaalscore van €748 aan eten en drinken is dat misschien een klein bedrag, maar het voelde toch onprettig. Niet vanwege de kosten op zich, maar vanwege het gebrek aan transparantie. Het was fijner geweest als vooraf duidelijk was aangegeven dat dit niet gratis kraanwater was, maar flessenwater met bijbehorende kosten. Dan hadden wij een bewuste keuze kunnen maken. We hebben hierover na afloop een nette e-mail gestuurd naar het restaurant, maar helaas nooit een reactie ontvangen. Jammer, want een eenvoudige toelichting of excuus had dit gevoel kunnen wegnemen.

Ate at restaurant De Troubadour and very satisfied. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. The carpaccio and spareribs tasted excellent and the portions were more than sufficient. The service was very friendly and attentive. The toilets were also clean, which is always a plus. The prices are in the mid to higher segment, but are absolutely in proportion to the quality of the food. We did not use the terrace, but it looked inviting and attractive.

We made a reservation and had dinner with a group of 7 people. Beautiful location on the water, beautiful building and cozy atmosphere inside, therefore 5 stars. The food: generally good. Some comments from my table companions: Delicious curry soup. Mushrooms in beer batter moderate / watery. What a bland taste. Very tasty regional appetizer. Mixed grill very tasty, nice that it is seasoned differently. Sparerib is tasty but the meat was on the dry side. Didn't see the original fries, were they normal fries? Pokebowl was of slightly lower quality than expected/hoped for. Desserts were fine, forgot Irish coffee, came later and was good/okay, but I've had better drinks. A mix of 3, 4 and 5 stars ending in 3.8, so an average of 4 stars. Service good. Smooth service, friendly people, a little more attention to the way of serving for that extra touch would be nice. (turn the plate a quarter turn for presentation, serve a beer glass with logo to the customer, etc. I know, it doesn't matter for the quality, but still....) Would I come back here? Yes, if I were in the area and wanted to go out for dinner, I probably would.

We were offered lunch by Troubadour. What an experience on my birthday. Everything was taken care of, even party balloons and a congratulations card. Beautiful place on the Vecht in the beautiful Hardenberg

We had dinner here last Saturday and last Saturday for my friend's birthday. However, there was a big difference. I opted for the same sandwich, I missed the curry mayonnaise and the pulled pork was left in chunks. In addition, we had to wait almost an hour for our food, which was not pleasant. The drinks arrived on time and the staff is friendly.

We recently visited Grand Café De Troubadour at Voorstraat 52 in Hardenberg, and what a great experience that was! This restaurant, beautifully situated on the Vecht, exudes atmosphere with its stylish interior and cozy terrace. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who clearly enjoy their work. The menu offers something for everyone: from tender steak to fresh fish and tasty vegetarian options. We opted for the Chef's Special Menu and were surprised with beautifully prepared dishes full of flavor - the spare ribs were an absolute winner! The food comes quickly, but you never feel rushed. The attention to detail, such as fresh herb butter with the bread and the well-stocked sauces, completes it. The view of the water from the terrace gave us a real holiday feeling. The children were also well catered for with a tasty and extensive children's menu. The price-quality ratio is excellent; you really get value for your money. The Troubadour is a place where you celebrate life, just as they promise. Highly recommended for a cozy and tasteful outing in Hardenberg!

Excellent coffee with Arretjescake 2.0

Sfeervol restaurant op een mooie lokatie maar daar heb je het dan ook mee gehad. Omdat we nadien een theater bezoek hadden, eerst gevraagd of we i.v.m de tijdsplanning van een,,chefs menu,, gebruik konden maken ( 2uur de tijd). Was geen probleem dus voor gekozen. Het voorgerecht was er onmiddelijk ,was zeer eenvoudig maar kon er mee door. Zeer lang op het hoofdgerecht moeten wachten wat we i.v.m de ontstane tijdsdruk naar binnen moesten schransen. Was een weinig smaakvol stuk vlees wat bovendien niet vrij was van pees, bot en vet. Garnituren waren minimaal. Van het dessert wat ook niet indrukwekkend was met de jas aan nog net een bolletje ijs kunnen opeten en wegwezen. Daniel Lohues maakte nadien gelukkig veel goed maar voor ons geen Troubadour meer.

The Grand café was nice and full. Looks very cozy. We sat upstairs and that is a better place than downstairs as far as the noise is concerned. The service is friendly. Maybe too. We are asked very often if we want any drinks. The food turns out to be okay but not great. I had a piece of salmon with spinach and expected a little more vegetables than the spinach and half a carrot. The chicken satay looked delicious but turned out to be a lot of satay. Served with a standard bowl of fries, it was fine, but nothing more than that. We have had better food for a better price.

Nice location for drinks! Friendly staff. Small minus pint: you are 'swept' outside as soon as dinner is served. There will then be no more room for people having a drink. Maybe keep some tables free for that?

Delicious food and super atmospheric restaurant! You can park directly next to the restaurant, but this is paid until 6:00 PM. Free parking in the evenings. The cocktails are definitely recommended! We do not consider the high tables next to the bar suitable for dining, which is why we always request a table on the water side. We will definitely come back!
