Good food, pricey, but it's fun!

Service and food were disappointing. What you get is not worth the price. You have to order extra side dishes, otherwise you are left feeling underfilled. I didn't get rice even though it was included. The seafood had no taste. You literally tasted nothing... only spicy. Had to put in too much effort to crack open the crab legs to get a tiny bit of meat. The sweet potato fries were too mushy... soft... a waste. Not worth the price. Not recommended!!! No second time for me.

Been for the 3rd time. The quality has definitely declined. But still good. It's just a shame that you only have 1.5 hours to finish your Bucket, which is certainly too short to really enjoy it.

What a wonderful experience this was. The seafood was prepared fantastically and the portions are incredibly generous. The corn on the cob among the shrimp and shellfish was a particularly tasty surprise. Everything tasted super fresh and the spicy sauce was truly finger-licking good. It is nice to be able to eat in such a relaxed atmosphere in Rotterdam. I will definitely be back here soon for another round.

My first experience at Wow Crab was unfortunately very disappointing. I had high expectations, but the wait for our order was very long. Additionally, I find the prices quite high in relation to what you get. I had a combo for €62 for two people. The information stated that you could choose three types of seafood, but when ordering, it turned out that you were only allowed to choose two. The combo also stated that rice, potato, corn, sausage, and chicken were included. I asked if I could choose a different type of seafood instead of the chicken and sausage, because we were only given two seafood choices. Unfortunately, this was not possible. I found that very disappointing and not very customer-friendly. Furthermore, I only received one piece of corn in my bag, while another table that arrived later than us received a normal amount of corn. At that point, my disappointment was complete, and I actually didn't feel like eating anymore. I had also ordered extra prawns for €18.95, but unfortunately, the quantity was very small for that price. The mini-lobster was also a letdown; There was hardly any meat in it, and I actually found it inedible. In the end, I paid €110 for myself and my son. Personally, I think that is a lot of money for what we ultimately received. The waiting time, the amount of food, the price, and the way our choices were handled meant that my first experience at Wow Crab was unfortunately very bad. My son was especially disappointed because he really wanted to go there. For me personally, this was unfortunately a one-time experience, and I wouldn't be coming back anytime soon. It's a shame, because I had hoped for a fun and tasty experience.

The shrimp were overcooked; everything was very bland. You eat better at an average cheap fish shop. Really very disappointing; I have never eaten such mediocre seafood. A waste of my money (spent about 90 euros) The place also looks a bit cheap The service is nice, though.

Beautiful location in the center of Rotterdam. Opposite the Markthal! Plenty of parking in the area. Nice exterior appearance, and a lovely atmosphere and interior inside. Staff are customer-friendly and service-oriented! If you asked for something, it was taken care of immediately! The staff are very friendly! The food was disappointing. Paid a lot and you get very little snow crab; the snow crab was very small and not enough for 2 people. I ended up giving all the snow crab to my daughter. The food was too spicy. My daughter ordered butter garlic sauce and it was very spicy. The squid was fried too crispy, making it unpleasant. You were mostly chewing hard pieces. Also, you were seated too close to the neighbors. Too many tables in a small space. It is a shame, because the WOWcrab location in The Hague, which is now gone, was a super delicious experience. Everything was perfect there! And that is why it was disappointing here.

The quality of the crab... langoustines... shrimp... VERY BAD. This was really a cheap type of shellfish. The crab was no bigger than my hand. The langoustines were very small. The shrimp had little flavor. Just garbage quality, and for that price.

The food was fine. It took a bit longer to get clarity on the gluten-free options, though. The service was very impersonal; you have to order everything via a scan on your phone. So, ordering with dirty hands is not recommended. It doesn't look very cozy.

It was a fun experience, though, and something you have to try at least once. Eating a bag of seafood straight from the table. The sauce the seafood is served in is delicious, finger-licking good, but the seafood itself is mediocre. For the price, I expected more. The lobster was super tough, a really rubbery texture, like chewing on a bicycle tire. I mentioned this when paying, and the gentleman said that good, fresh lobster is supposed to be tough. I was surprised; fresh lobster is supposed to be anything but that. The lobster was simply cooked for far too long.

I didn't really like the owner; he was so rushed and counting, he didn't even let you eat. He checked every 10 minutes to see if you'd finished. Not great. I couldn't find the flavor in the shellfish. I won't be back.

Amazing, what a cool place. We had a delicious meal here. That was an experience in itself. No plates, no cutlery. Instead, a bag of seafood that was poured onto the table. We could then eat it wearing an apron and gloves. It tasted truly exquisite. A compliment to the team at Wow Crab. They provided a great experience. They had a friendly conversation with everyone in a way I don't often experience, but greatly appreciate. Thanks. Highly recommended.

Alde guests at Oude Haven reserved and received an email referring to Hoogstraat. Their actions are absolutely unethical. Therefore, do not support their unethical practices. Oude Haven is still open as usual, but has only changed its name to Folie Crabe.

We were with 6 people and feels happy with our visit yesterday afternoon. My daughter enjoyed it so much. For someone who loves seafood this is the restaurant to go! The staff is friendly and kind and deliver good service. Shout out to them 🎉🙌

Went to the old port a few years ago and didn't think it was WOW at the time, but it was fine. Now I tried this one and wow, it was bad. As we speak, my friend is sick in the toilet. We ordered a combo with jumbo tiger shrimps, normal shrimps, squid and langoustine. Squid was rubber Longoustine had air in it Shrimp tasted old and stale We spit out the jumbo shrimp (old, dry, strange taste) The sauce marinade was stale Even the corn was old I'm not necessarily a fish fan, but it was my friend's choice, he loves it. I already had my reservations about the first shrimp, but if it spits something out you can be sure it was bad, because he is Cape Verdean and believe me from gill to fin, everything goes in. He immediately had a stomach ache after eating and a rumbling feeling for the rest of the evening. It was also very special that it was served less than 10 minutes after ordering, even the wait staff made a comment out of inconvenience about "they are nice and fast today" Not to mention the impersonal QR system. The fries were tasty and the service friendly, but if that's the only positive thing I have to say about a fairly pricey seafood restaurant, something is definitely going wrong. There were also a maximum of 7 tables filled that evening, which actually says enough for a Friday evening. Shame!

After two years I ate crab at Wow again, the quality of the fish was very disappointing. It has no taste (Only the sauce) shriveled lobster, there wasn't even any meat left in the claws. And very little for what you pay. Just a tip for the restaurant. You need returning customers. Serve fresh products and don't get too frugal.

Best seafood boil in Europe, hands down.

They are all pre-cooked meals. Seafood is not very tasty and not very fresh. It's just cooked by boiling sauce in water. I didn't taste any good cooking skills, and it's very expensive. It's not worth the price at all. There is not much good ingredients. I am very disappointed.

The food is being served with a plastic bag cut open in a non elegant way on the table, on a paper sheet covering the whole table, not cutlery, no plates, just your hands to eat. This was not explained when we told we didn't know the concept. The food was super fast cold and overspiced, you don't have a lot of food for your money, we ordered 2 types of mossels (jumbo & regular), which were thrown in 1 bag together. They also forgot our drinks, we had to ask for them as we only got the food and the service is not paying attention. The decoration is modern and ok. We went for sushi directly after this.

Staff were listening to music loudly and twerking and taking selfies being extremely inattentive and made the whole experience awkward and uncomfortable while there were children and elderly people dining in. The food itself was extremely disappointing and unhygienic, it tasted strongly of plastic and was extremely difficult to open a whole crab without any guidance despite us saying this was our first time. The part that tipped me over the edge was the amount of FLIES landing on our food which we were expected to not care about while the staff just went on their phones despite us being clearly upset. Would NOT recommend this location at all!!! The WORST experience I have ever had dining in.

After enjoying my experience at Wowcrab in Amsterdam, I decided to try the Rotterdam branch to compare the taste. Unfortunately, it was just okay, and the seafood didn’t seem as fresh as at other restaurants I’ve visited. However, it was still a decent meal and worth trying if you’re in the area.

Combo had a lot of salt. Mussels were with sand. Potatoes had no taste. Mocktails were tasty. Cheap gloves that tear open in no time. Shame. If you choose combo, it includes rice, corn and some other things. We only got corn. Price wasn't too bad, but I would say don't choose a combo. It's better to only choose what you like. Don't be fooled by their Instagram, photos and videos.

The food was not tasty and very little. I paid €128 for 6 people, to only get 4 pieces of corn and only a few sausages in the whole bag. Really can't eat it. Really disappointed.

Food was OK, but portions were very expensive for what you got. Also the 'lobster' soup was the most expensive and the smallest quantity I have ever eaten.

We had such a delicious meal, it was our first time at Wowcrab, but we will definitely eat there again... I have to say that it has become my favorite restaurant.

For me the restaurant is 10/10. I am delighted. It was my first time in this place. Very nice service. We ordered the lobster, mussels and shrimp combo. Wonderful sauce - spicy to the point for me. A surprising serving, there are no plates, the waitress comes with a bucket and throws the contents from a plastic bag onto the table (spectacular) with a napkin. A feast of flavors, great drinks to choose from. I recommend it wholeheartedly. Fantastic place right in the center. There is a metro station nearby.

I have previously eaten wow crab at another location in Rotterdam and had a better experience there than here. We sat at a small table and ordered quite a few side dishes and a combo. The first employee brought the combo in a bucket and placed the bucket neatly on the floor, because our table was full. However, later another employee picked up the bucket from the ground and put it on our table which was unhygienic!!!!. Despite our comments about the lack of comfort while eating, the staff seemed to show little understanding and was very unfriendly!

Ik heb lekker gegeten. Ik heb een seafood mix genomen, het meeste wat erin zat was lekker behalve de crawfish. De sfeer is modern en gezellig.

Het eten is niet zo pittig als verwacht. Maar was wel lekker buiten dat! Super vriendelijke medewerkers en een leuke sfeer.

Beste, De wow factor hebben wij helaas niet ervaren. Om en om 3 sterren voor het geheel. Taco's, gepaneerde Garnalen vonden we heel lekker maar de bucket zelf minder.

Sehr gewöhnungsbedürftiges Restaurant. Das Seafood, wir hatten Muscheln , wird aus einem Eimer auf den Tisch gekippt (ohne Teller) und dann darf man es mit Handschuhen an den Händen zerteilen und essen. Trotz dieser ungewöhnlichen Esskultur war es sehr lecker.

The seafood is not that fresh so they are covered by lots of pepper, even though we chose ‘mild’ already. The favour is not authentic like traditional New Orleans seafood bag, more like a mix with Chinese pepper seafood. The seafood came 2mins after we ordered, so it’s made already, but the taste is not bad overall. Service is ok, all of the staff are Chinese, the menu only have English and Chinese, feeling not so authentic as well.

The customer service is top! Very attentive and in good spirits. I love coming here to get some WOW Style clams 😄

Ik heb samen met mijn kleinzoon heerlijk gegeten. Het was meer dan genoeg Fijn dat er meerdere combinatie mogelijk zijn. Wij hadden crab, mosselen en garnalen. Wij kregen we aardappeltjes en maïs bij. Zeker een aanrader als je van zeevruchten houd. Top!

A pity that discovered this place when moving from Rotterdam. I was wowed! Loved everything about it. The food presentation, ambience, atmosphere, service. It was a great experience for me and my friends. So glad they took me here.

The best sea food I ever had. Bit expensive but worth this price.

Wij hadden de grootste schaal genomen van 250 euro daar zit alles op wat ze hebben incl kreeft en krab. Op het menu kon je aankruisen hoe je ze gebakken wilde hebben. Hierbij kruiste wij aan alleen knoflook ivm dat ik niet tegen te heet eten kan. Uiteindelijk waren we klaar met bestellen het was er zo. Het personeel is vriendelijk. Toen kwam er een medewerkster aan lopen met (gratis) aardappelfriet. Waarbij ik aangaf deze niet besteld te hebben en ze zei nee mevrouw deze krijgt u er gratis bij! Erg lekkere frietjes. Maar dat was ook wel echt een van de weinige dingen die lekker waren. Het eten was smaakloos en droog en dat voor 250 euro dan mag je zeker wel wat verwachten. Ook hadden we gevraagd of ze sausjes hadden bijvb knoflook saus. Maar nee geen saus niks aanwezig. Uiteindelijk was ik er klaar mee en wilde ik gewoon naar huis omdat dit het zeker niet waard was. 1 van de slechte keren dat ik vis heb gegeten en dat eet ik iedere week. Uiteindelijk de bon, maar gevraagd omdat ik snel wegwilde. Achteraf zie ik dat ik de aardappel frietjes moet betalen. Waarbij ze aangaf dat deze niet gratis waren. Zeer over prijst en zeker niet gaan eten. Jammer van het geld had daar zeker vaker van kunnen eten en nooit meer!
