We've had several delicious meals here. Excellent and fast service. The Bratwurst and Schnitzel Camambert combo is irresistible.

A place where I had a hearty and warm dinner..

A sort of German-style inn with a vegan schnitzel experience. The idea is great, and the schnitzel is really delicious. Our preferences differed on the thickness of the sauce, which was almost a cream, and the potato salad with mayo. Overall, though, everything was very tasty, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant :) It is quite expensive, however.

What a lovely place...while it is located in the center of the "tech" area, it offers warm, friendly and home-like atmosphere. The staff is lovely and the food is absolutely delicious. I had the schnitzel and the potato pancakes, accompanied by Undenberg to help my tummy digest the yummy.

Schnitzel was amazing, service was great. They were totally booked with reservations but made an exception to fit me in between reservations. Thank you for doing that!

My girlfriend and I had a very good experience here! The food was delicious! We love German shnitchel and took mushrooms shnitchel and with holand sauce. Both really recommend. The service was very nice, our waiter was fun and existed and gave us recommendations.

I had the Schweinshaxe and my boyfriend had the Schnitzel, and we both absolutely loved our dishes. I’m Austrian, so I know a good Schweinshaxe when I taste one – and this was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. My boyfriend was just as happy with his Schnitzel. The service was excellent, the staff super friendly, and I want to give a special thank you to the lovely Hungarian waitress who took care of us so sweetly. Overall a fantastic experience – we’ll definitely be back!

This is a great place for those who want to eat real Schnitzel and sample a variety of German and Austrian beers. It's not one of those restaurants that require a dress code.

Pleasantly surprised by super delicious schnitzel that was actually better than most of the schnitzels that I had in Austria+Germany. Draft beers were so fresh! Attentive service and cute interior were bonus!

Very friendly and helpful with our phone reservation. It was 3 degrees Celsius outside, and once inside, we noticed that the restaurant wasn't very pleasant. It was almost chilly. This slightly diminished the experience. The food arrived quickly, and we were quite full. Everything was hot and delicious. The price, however, was a bit on the expensive side for what you get. You quickly end up paying a lot extra. We hardly saw any of the staff during our meal or afterward. We found the English-speaking lady distant and cold. And oh yeah... I think she played German folk music at one point, which we really enjoyed at the time. That added to the atmosphere. Not anymore, which is a shame. All in all... The food was very good.

We tried the regular and spicy schnitzel, and it was delicious. The portions were also normal. The atmosphere was nice and the location was close, just a short walk from Zuid.

We visit this restaurant at least twice a month. We always get their mix of schnitzel and curry wurst and it never disappoints!

What a unique experience at this restaurant. Everything was perfect: from the welcome to the moment I left. The staff was polite and attentive without being intrusive. The dishes were high quality and beautifully presented. I enjoyed a three-course meal featuring local produce, and every dish was a surprise. The wine list was excellent. The atmosphere was tranquil, with soft lighting and an intimate ambiance. It felt like an evening of pure indulgence. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

What a pleasant surprise this café was! I happened to pass by and decided to go in. The atmosphere was immediately inviting, with soft lighting and soothing music. The coffee was excellent, full-bodied and aromatic. I also tried their almond croissant, and it was divine. The staff was friendly and attentive. The tables were neatly set, and everything was clean. The decor exuded warmth and tranquility. I will definitely return here again to enjoy the atmosphere and the coffee.

I had a few hours to kill in Amsterdam and found myself really missing German cuisine, so I was quite happy when a quick internet search led me here. Service was very friendly and efficient. The food options are authentic. However for the quality it's rather pricey - it's sort of German work canteen quality, and for that it's too expensive. The German beer selection only got a few big brewery names, you'd hope to discover something new and a bit less well-known in a German specialty restaurant. Again, that's authentic enough but more what you'd find in a sort of chain restaurant in Germany rather than in a traditional inn or in a restaurant at a comparable price point. The ambiance is nice enough (it's clean, plenty of tables) but again nothing to rave about - a sort of standard chain restaurant feel interior with elements of German style decoration, and set in a very modern neighborhood of office block highrises.

The schnitzel was good—unfortunately a bit bland. But it does convey a nice homey feeling. So worth a try.

Reminder to self not to return... The food didn’t come close to my Eastern European grandma’s standards. The meat was bread coated way ahead of frying (you can taste when its made like that) heavily seasoned with flavor enhancers that left me feeling unwell afterward. If you prefer fresh, authentic food, this isn’t the right place. And soooo EXPENSIVE!!

I didn’t expect crazy much, but still was hoping for a nice schnitzel. I got a dry, overcooked veal schnitzel with lemon (what a disappointment for 26€) with a meat hard to chew and the breading so dry that it was falling apart. They sat me at the bar because I was alone, in front of the tap beers and dirty glasses, not so nice. They mixed the mayonnaise and the ketchup in the same paper cup ( come on guys, two cups and in a reusable material isn’t that hard). Staff wasn’t friendly. When I got asked how it went at the bill, and I told them not good, I didn’t get any reaction to that. I wish I could have said something nice, but there were no positive note unfortunately.

We ordered a dish without onions and they made a mistake in the order and did not want to exchange it.

Apple strudel costs €13 and requires a 20-minute wait. And then you get no ice cream, whipped cream, or anything else, even though two years ago this dessert was only €9, including the ice cream and whipped cream. Moreover, the sauce was barely warm.

While most places in Amsterdam are packed and noisy around that time, this spot was calm, cozy, and welcoming. The staff is friendly, genuine, and took the time to make me feel at ease. I went for the Kraftschnitzel (chicken) with onions, hollandaise sauce, melted cheese, and grilled potatoes with crispy bacon on the side. 🥔🥓 Every bite reminded me why I liked this place before. It’s comforting, hearty food done right! It’s one of those places where you can truly slow down, enjoy your meal, and just be in the moment. Delicious, large portions. They didn't forget about us, took our order and brought it quickly. The waiters asked several times if we wanted a second plate, considering we'd ordered one dish for two, but no one ever brought it.

Nice staff. I had the veal schnitzel with potato salad. It was all tasty but the veal was a little underseasoned. I still really enjoyed myself though. I love German food.

We arrived an hour before closing time, the service was unpleasant, but they finally served us, the beer was excellent, they didn't cook the food anymore, even though the chef was present, otherwise a very nice pub.

The food is good, but the prices are almost outrageous. A schnitzel with a side dish costs at least €22, which is very expensive. The appetizers are also quite expensive, at €15 for two grilled sausages. The drinks are also extremely overpriced; a König Ludwig wheat beer costs almost €9... so all in all, tasty and acceptable portions, with average service and, unfortunately, very expensive prices.

Did a takeout order for the 1 Wurst and 1 Schnitzel Mix. For a side, we picked the cheese spatzle and it came with a nice salad. Large portion and big enough for two people to split. Delicious and would absolutely come back. The restaurant seemed nice and friendly - I would love to come back and eat inside. Thank you!

They are also served by two Slovak women, so the language barrier was zero.

We had made a reservation here weeks ago, but upon arrival, it turned out our reservation had been canceled (by the computer...). We're not from Amsterdam, so we were deeply disappointed. The restaurant, or at least the manager, took no responsibility for this and was even rude and impolite. It clearly wasn't their problem and even dared to laugh at us (what do you expect me to do??)... We understand that administrative errors can occur, but treating your guests like this is simply not okay... going home hungry because on Saturday evenings, only FEBO is still available in Amsterdam (where, incidentally, you'll probably receive a warmer welcome). I'll never come here again, even if they offered the food for free. It was the only thing the manager and our group agreed on.

Nowhere else will you find such delicious schnitzels!!!

We ate in this restaurant located in a square, close to a canal and in a business district. The setting sets the tone, we are in a German restaurant, the food is good and plentiful with a fairly wide choice of dishes, as for the drinks you can imagine that the choice of beers is very wide, however we regretted that on the dessert side it was rather poor, but maybe that's how it is.

This is a popular spot for dinner and drinks near the Amsterdam Zuid train station. They have a very nice outdoor seating area. They offer a large selection of German beers.

Surprisingly good German fare, served (also) surprisingly quickly. The schnitzel was well prepared and the pepper sauce delicious (using green pepper corns!). The sausages full of flavour, and the potatoes and bacon just excellent. One of few places to boil the potatoes in stock before frying, which gives them a through and through delicious flavour. Well recommended.

We made a reservation for lunch. When we arrived, it was closed....

I made a reservation for dinner at 8:30 p.m., but there was only one dish available at that time. It was delicious, but they should have let me know so I wouldn't have to go all the way to the other side of town. If they're only going to offer one dish, don't say it's available for dinner. While we were there, they turned away several customers who had come with the same intention, but they always close the kitchen at 10 p.m.

We were waiting for 20 minutes after a table was given go us by a waiter. This waiter failed to let us know that the kitchen was closing in 20 minutes. It was 9pm BTW. We were going to have a beer, we left after the awful service.

It was tasty, but it wasn’t worth 25€ schnitzel dish it tasted good however I didn’t look very Austrian or German. It took really Poer. However the service was out of this world. The atmosphere was excellent.

You pay 4.00 euros for an extra cup of curry sauce, without this being on the menu. Schnitzel and sausage are not traditionally fried, little taste to the dishes and the salad is minimal. This tent gives zero value for overpriced dishes.
