Yvette's (Johnny) Cake Corner in Bijlmer Oost (E,G,K)

Would give 10 or more stars if I could, I developed a very serious addiction to Johnny cake with chicken and cheese and Johnny cake bakijou cheese and their food in general and actually fighting the temptation to drive there right now. But everything they have is to die for delicious so I will probably not be able to fight the temptation for long 🤣 It has been 4 days since my last Johnny cake and the withdrawal is hitting badly now🤭 The cakes are to die for delicious too, whatever you try here you will be delighted, the struggle is really to pick something because it’s all to die for delicious!!!

I received a Johnny cake with spicy chicken that had almost no filling. None of the Johnny cakes I ordered were baked properly (very thin and limp). I could still taste the raw dough in one (it wasn't baked properly). A huge disappointment. Not the delicious Johnny cakes from Yvette that I was used to.

Love the place love the Johnny cakes. The food was delicious. The cook takes his time but is part of the experience and I loved it.

UPDATE DAY 4: still having stomach pains and having to go to the toilet all the time. Can't keep anything down. Not even a response or question from the owner or manager. Went to the doctor conclusion: FOOD POISONING. Possibly the meat was incorrectly cooled or prepared. After some poor communication from the car, she told me that something was wrong with the deep fryer that day. The fries I got also looked white and too light in color as if they had been out of the freezer for a long time and had been fried for a very short time. Not crispy but limp and warm with a fragile shape. The sauce on top tempted me to eat it anyway. The meat also had a different texture than I was used to, tough and tasted different. Possibly prepared before? Or incorrectly cooled? Frozen again? No idea because the staff couldn't give me an answer here either. (man and woman together both only spoke Spanish. so no English or Dutch.) I regret and am angry with myself that despite this doubt I still started eating the meal. (hungry and waited a long time) after half I already got a feeling of better not to continue. At the end of the evening the stitches started, followed by fever diarrhea headache muscle pain. Now for a few days at home, close to the toilet, close to the shower, and taking norit and paracetamol. I would like to warn other people in this way to first check their meal carefully before they eat it, I do not wish these complaints on anyone. To be sick at home while you think you are going to eat something nice. Too bad because I had good experiences as a customer at Yvette's in foodplaza regarding Johnnycakes this was the first and last time for me also in Kraaiennest.
