You do not get what Zaferuw give you anywhere else! The food is not just a food, it is a combination of the love and persian cooking skills of the very kind cook. The experience of being in this restaurant is extraordinary. Do not take my word for it, just go and taste it yourself.

As an Iranian, it’s rare to find a restaurant in Europe that serves food with such delicacy and authenticity — just like what I used to eat at my grandmother’s house. Zaferuw truly surprised me. The quality and variety of the dishes were excellent. On top of that, their drink menu was outstanding — full of creativity and unique flavors. Also, their desserts were incredible! The warm and very friendly attitude of the restaurant owner reminded me of my small city in Iran — where everyone knows me, greets with a smile, and beautiful new memories are created. In one word: they are truly passionate about their work and Iranian culture.

The Ghormeh sabzi was excellent, the lamb was excellent and tender and the stew was full of flavour. I also tried the dolma which delighted me and reminded me of our sarma. The service is excellent, they explained all the dishes to us before ordering. It is worth a visit if you are in Delft.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately impressed by the interior. I tried the Morasa polo, the chicken was juicy and delicious and the rice was perfectly cooked and a little sweet. I also had the Mirza as an appetizer, an explosion of flavors. The service was nice and friendly. I definitely recommend it if you are in Delft.

The food was sooo delicious. Old Persian songs with smell of delicious delicacy created a very chill vibe. The starter was mast o khiar, kookoo, and mirza ghasemi. We ordered fesenjoon, mahiche and albaloo polo, gheyme nesar. All were amazing. Highly recommend this place.

One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had! The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful — warm, authentic, and incredibly welcoming. I ordered the Fesenjoon and it was absolutely delicious! The portion size was truly Persian — generous and satisfying. You could really taste the quality of the Iranian pomegranate paste; they even ask if you’d like it more sour or sweet, just like back home. The Iranian tea was also excellent, served hot with a lovely saffron cake. And don’t miss their saffron beer — it was surprisingly tasty and unique. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a real Persian experience!

Delicious food. A special culinary experience. The mixed starter was already a very impressive taste experience. The main course was also of very good quality and very tasty. We also tried all the homemade drinks. All drinks are very tasty. Friendly service with good knowledge about the food. We will definitely come back here and I have already recommended it to colleagues of mine. Hopefully until next year week 24 when I am in Delft again for my work, then with colleagues of mine.

Every time I’ve eaten here I’ve been blown away by the mix of bold flavours. My personal favourite the Fesenjoon is at once sweet and sour and absolutely delicious. The special Persian drinks are fantastic and add to the authentic experience. Serving the great food and drinks are friendly staff in a cute corner of Delft. The high rating and good reviews are 100% justified and I can’t wait to dine here again.

One of the best Persian restaurants in the Netherlands—possibly even in Europe. The food was incredibly flavorful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had Kuku Sabzi and Mirza Ghasemi to start—both delicious and authentic. For the main course, we ordered Tava Kebab and Ghorme Sabzi. The kebab had an amazing texture and was beautifully seasoned with herbs from northern Iran. If you want to explore Persian dishes beyond just kebab, this place is a fantastic choice. We ended with Faloodeh. Highly recommended!

I loved my first experience in Zaferuw. Unique menu, eye catching dish design, super friendly staff, cozy vibe❤️ I got Albalou polo ba mahiche and it was yummy. Mast chekideh (strained yogurt) was really awesome. The menu is really special and unique and you cannot find such menu in other persian restaurants! Highly recommended! And I will try it again🤩

Most delicious Iranian foods I've eaten in Delft

Visited twice now, and great food both times. They are one of the most skilled restaurants in Delft when it comes to preparing lamb. The appetizer platter is a great introduction to Persian food if you've never tried it. The staff is good at providing recommendations based on your preference.

A culinary journey through Iran, This Iranian restaurant offers a wonderful experience for authentic food lovers. Don't expect standard kebabs here, but delicious dishes such as Mahiche and Gheyme Nesa (my favorite😋), which are perfectly seasoned and gently cooked. What makes this restaurant extra special is the wide vegetarian variety on the menu – there is something tasty for everyone! The cocktails are a pleasant surprise: extremely tasty and perfectly balanced. And finally, don't miss the Bastani Nooni – a delicious traditional dessert. The personal approach by the staff makes the evening complete. You really feel welcome here. An absolute must for those who want to discover the real flavors of Iran!

The perfect spot for a cosy night with excellent food in Delft. With an intimate atmosphere, exceptionally kind, welcoming and attentive staff, and plentiful, hearty food that warms the soul, I cannot recommend Zaferuw enough. (And if you like unique cocktails, they also have a great selection. Especially the zereshk sour was delicious!)

Gheimeh Nesar and Polo with Mahiche were very good, the best traditional Iranian food. The Faloodeh and the Zaffraan ice cream were also great. The owner of the restaurant is very friendly.

I can't agree with all the positive reviews... or the good chef must have fled... Service and atmosphere are excellent... starter was tasty but the main course, both lamb and chicken, is really tasteless! Rice for an entire family... too bad

The best and kind chef, get you prepared the most tasteful cuisines from Iran. I would recommend lamb and white rice, but the chicken Morassa polo is also very tasty. Try their cocktails as if you want to have a very special taste of sekanjabin martini or anar sour! I tried persian Faloode like as the most similar taste with Shirazi Faloode!

As an Iranian I was not satisfied with the foods at all. Not recommended! Expensive and quality is not that much of price. You can find much better Iranian restaurant options in The Hague. First and last time in Zaferuw

If you are not Iranian, still it's likely you have already tried Iranian kebabs. However, Iran has a lot more to offer and this restaurant will serve a wide variety of the Iranian dishes from different parts of the country and the quality is super!

We had dinner here tonight and we’ve eaten here at least 5 times before. We het the dolme and olives as starter and then delicious lamb dishes as main. Really amazing food that tastes like home cooked Iranian food. The atmosphere was like always warm and welcoming. I am also a big fan of the desserts. We had bastani which is saffron ice cream and faloodeh which is difficult to describe but very tasty. Highly recommended place. We’ll definitely come back

Zaferuw is one of the best places to experience authentic Persian cuisine. The friendly staff, high-quality ingredients, and lovely atmosphere make it a standout choice. I once invited colleagues from various nationalities, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. It’s a pity they only serve three nights a week—I’ll definitely be returning for more!

We had a delicious meal. The lamb was wonderfully tender. The rice was delicious, it was all very well seasoned. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also very good. I had no negative experiences during my visit to Zaferuw, it was all really excellent. We will definitely come back, thank you very much for the delicious food.

The food was amazing, and a lot!! They ask you to order at least a drink and a main plate but that is a pity cause it would be better to try some starters and then share a main plate (if you are in 2). But with one main plate each you are going to be too full even for the dessert. The service is very good (other than continuing asking if we wanted something else). The place is nice but the price are extremely high!!
