Zappa's Arnhem in Centrum

I had the pasta Carbonara. It was edible, but not a shockingly good experience.

It was a pleasant surprise. We are staying a weekend in Arnhem. Wanted to have some nice dinner, but the restaurant we wanted to go was fully booked. Then we passed by this place and just walked in. Got a table for 2 without waiting. Ordered two pizzas, pollo, and carpacio. They were amazingly delicious, thin crust and with good size. Service was really good too. Totally recommend it.

Ridiculous! I've been going to Zappa Arnhem with my mother and sister for eight years. I've never experienced anything like it. We called to ask if the food could be ready when we arrived because we had an appointment and needed to get going quickly. I arrived to announce our arrival. I saw her putting it in takeaway containers, and I told her we'd called to eat it in the restaurant. This wasn't allowed. The woman in question wouldn't put it on a plate, and there was no way I could eat it there. I've been a regular at Zappa's for eight years, but I've never been treated so disrespectfully and arrogantly. The woman refused to consider our needs, even when I pointed out that we'd been regulars for so long. "My colleagues have been doing it wrong for eight years," she said. It's a shame, but I won't be coming back.

Had to wait 45 minutes for my order. Then we came home and there was no cheese + extra added neither. We had whole wheat pasta, but unfortunately that wasn't included either. A few pathetic shrimps and 3 leaves of spinach for €2.50 extra. Called and said there was nothing more they could do, even though they charged €7.50 too much and nothing was included! Very bad service, will never order again!

Man. That was by far the worst pizza I have had in a while. We made the mistake to go out with 2 in Arnhem on a Saturday evening without a reservation, so we got rejected from pretty much every other Italian restaurant in the city. The pizzas were HEAVY on your stomach, reaching Domino's, Papa John's and other chain garbage levels. They did not have as much oil as the chains, but they were certainly not good. I must say here that I did NOT try the pasta, so there is a slight chance it is better. I would recommend you to not get pizza, but in desparate times try the pasta. Make sure to not choose stuff where they can drown them in shitty oils. I forgot to take pictures, but you can see them clearly on the other pictures posted. I would recommend you to go to the local McDonald's if you are desparate, otherwise go somewhere else.

My girlfriend and I ate the pizza here yesterday, it was very greasy, it just dripped off, my girlfriend dabbed it with a napkin, I didn't, since then it hasn't felt good in my stomach I've been spitting up and some other unpleasant things that I won't describe to spare people. I won't be coming back here again

We have been coming here regularly for years. Previously always satisfied, but in the last year it has really become less. We have seen many staff come and go in recent years. After tonight we decided not to come here anymore. The woman who baked the pizzas clearly didn't feel like it and made this clear to the customers. My husband had a pasta and I was going to share a pizza with my daughter. When my pizza arrived it turned out she had made the wrong one. I politely indicated that I had ordered another pizza, there was a deep sigh and not quite an eye roll and she sighed and said: I'll make a new one. An apology might have been appropriate, but it never came. My husband also got his pasta at that time. I assumed my pizza would be remade right away since it was their mistake and my husband had already gotten his dish as well. This was not the case. The pizza maker first made some other pizzas at her leisure and complained to her colleague for a while and after 20 minutes my pizza finally arrived. My husband had already finished his food. When I indicated at checkout that I actually didn't think this was possible, I was told by the waitress that the pizza maker was really not feeling well today. No excuses were made and no suitable solution was sought. If you are unable to do your job for whatever reason, stay home. Not only the responsibility of the employee but also of the manager. I don't think it's much to ask to say: sorry, I accidentally made the wrong pizza and I'm going to fix it right away. It was the whole attitude and atmosphere there. The food here is always delicious and you won't hear me talk about that, but you won't see us again after years.

Great restaurant to eat a good pizza after shopping. I was a lot less enthusiastic about the pasta. No restaurant for a pleasant evening meal. Prices are very reasonable.

The sign tells enough. Delicious!!! Good pasta, for a good price! Very nice place without any fuss. One of my favorites in Arnhem. I love coming here when I want to eat my fill.

We had to wait 55 minutes on a Friday evening to get our food and we were not the only ones. While you cannot say that pasta and pizza take a long time to prepare. During this watch, no new drinks were asked once. Then we finally got the food, but the pasta was very bland in taste. The pizza was fine. When we ask to pay, they say they will come to you shortly and then help every other person who steps in between. According to staff, the reason for the poor service was busy, but since there is an open kitchen you can just see that the pizza chef was on his phone. Unfortunately the last time at Zappa's, while years ago this was a nice place to eat.

The pizza's flavorless even though they contain plenty toppings, yet the crust was burnt and too hard to eat. Very loud place to sit with the kitchen crew yelling every few minutes that an order is ready. The space is too small to have a loud kitchen. Recooking the leftovers saved the pizza later on.

Nice meal. A pizza and a pasta dish. Very tasteful. Dessert choice is not that great. Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time for our order (35 minutes). Probably something went wrong, as a table next to us ordered later and received their order (also pizza and a pasta dish) almost 10 minutes earlier. Therefore one star less.

Lovely place with a cosy atmosphere, absolutely stunning food, with brilliant service. Would recommend, would go back, if ever in Arnhem again

Staff was friendly, pizzas were burnt on the edge. One pizza was such that we received a new one (only after a complaint). We were a bit disappointed, as previous visits were very good.

The food was delicious and the operator was very friendly, the only downside is that you cannot drive it with a stroller as you have to lift it. Also annoying for people with wheelchairs. You can sit outside, but the weather must be good.

Delicious and well-filled pasta and a fantastic pizza with a very thin base to enjoy. Friendly service. Until next time

Wat een ongelofelijke chagrijnige medewerkers. Vooral de mevrouw rond de 35, duidelijk dat ze met het verkeerde been hit bed was gestapt. Geen aanrader voor een leuke avond.

Eten was goed ,sfeer, bediening slecht , krap weinig ruimte, personeel was veel lawaai aan het maken in keuken met borden en pannen, je voelt je niet echt welkom . Te jong en te ongeïnteresseerd personeel om een succesvolle zaak te worden

Die Pasta war sehr lecker und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, zum Beispiel wenn man einzelne Zutaten in den Gerichten austauschen möchte. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!

Jammer, duurde lang totdat we geholpen werden ondanks dat er één jongeman was die zijn best deed. Heel lang gewacht op eten dat "ok" was. Ieder een maaltijd besteld waarvan één pas een kwartier na de ander kwam. Jammer.

Aardig personeel, de pasta vitale en carbonara was erg lekker. Op de kaart staat duidelijk aangegeven welke allergenen waar in zitten.

Aardige bediening en prima pasta voor een prima prijs. Niets mis mee, maar ook niet speciaal. Legenda: 1) Vreselijk! Raad ik af, komt nooit meer terug! 2) Jammer, onder mijn verwachtingen, kom niet nog een keer. 3) Ok, niks mis mee, maar niet bijzonder, leuk voor 1 keer. 4) Prima, de moeite waard om terug te komen. 5) Uitstekend! Raad ik aan, komt zeker terug!

Super goed eten, goede pizza's en smakelijke pasta's. Snel geserveerd door vriendelijk personeel. Alleen het uitzicht op het terras is minder.

Excellent thin crust. I rated the service and atmosphere 4/5 only because it was very busy when i was there, however, they were gracious and as attentive as they could be under the circumstances.

Gisteravond kwam mijn vrouw met 2 afhaalpizza's thuis/ik was aangenaam verrast.Ze waren echt uitzonderlijk lekker. Complimenten zappa's 👌❤🙌

Was expecting so much better. Was relatively quiet when we arrived. Looked to have been busier. We had Pizzas. Its Italian, they should be light and fresh. These were not. We did not finish them. I was so distracted by the quality I forgot to take photos. Unfortunately very unremarkable. Hygiene could go with improvement in the area where they prepare the salads front of house. Personally I wouldn't go back. Very young staff who could have better training on food preparation and cleanliness. Great location and outside in the sun is a great spot for a coffee etc. its great but I think there are better options for food.

Goede sfeer in het restaurant! Het eten smaakte goed en was authentiek zelfs de korsten van de Pizza waren heerlijk krokant! Enige punt van verbetering was de hoeveelheid kip op mijn pizza dat nogal aan de alge kant was, maar misschien ben ik gewoon een veelvraat 🤭

Italiaans restaurant met een bijzondere dynamiek. Om zoveel mogelijk zitplaatsen te kunnen creëren zitten de gasten erg krap en moet de bediening een cursus slangenmens gevolgd hebben om hier te kunnen werken. Gerechten zijn lekker en vriendelijk geprijsd, zelfde geldt voor de wijnen. Bediening vriendelijk en professioneel.

Favoriete restaurant. Kom hier erg vaak. Niet duur, en geweldig eten!

Het eten was lekker, maar de bediening was niet scherp. Tafels naast ons zat zonder bestek en het duurde even voor ze contact met iemand kregen, ondertussen werd het eten koud, wij kregen ook iedere keer geen oogcontact met personeel om nog een drankje te bestellen.

Heerlijk gegeten. Ik koos de pasta met gamba's en mijn partner een pizza. Beiden hebben wij heerlijk gegeten! Personeel was vriendelijk en we voelde ons welkom. Prijs/kwaliteit is zeer goed in verhouding!

Vers en smaakvol. Heerlijk gegeten met verse ingrediënten. Italiaans eten zoals we het gewend zijn. Wat een verschil met de avond daarvoor zeg, een italiaans restaurant uit dezelfde stad, maar waar de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding ver te zoeken was ( net als de verse ingrediënten). Zappa's is een aanrader als je lekker Italiaans wilt eten.

Heerlijk en knettervers eten voor een leuke prijs! Wij kwamen eten en alles zat vol, maar we mochten aan de personeelstafel eten 🤩 Personeel werkt hier met liefde.

Wurde von Bedienung versprochen später zu kommen und zu bestellen. Wurde leider nicht gemacht. Pizza hat keine Gewürze außer Salz. Hat nicht geschmeckt. Obwohl ich die teuerste mit Lachs und Sardellen genommen habe. Fisch ist ja geschmacksintensiv, aber leider war die Pizza gar nicht gut

Aardige pizza in knusse Pizzeria. Hygiëne verdient meer aandacht. Prijs is goed te noemen.

Lekkere pizza op een leuk terras voor weinig.

Zappa’s is echt één van mijn favoriete restaurants. Alles wordt er vers bereid, heerlijk! Het restaurant gaat nu pas om 16:00 open, voorheen was dit om 12:00. Doordat ze nu later open gaan kan ik de broodjes niet meer bestellen, deze kunnen worden besteld tot 16:00… Vanaf 16:00 is het ook niet meer mogelijk om de heerlijke broodjes te bestellen, zo jammer… :(

Wezen eten bij zappa’s en dit was mijn laatste keer. Moest erg lang wachten op een menukaart, ik vroeg of we de menukaart mochten en ik werd aangekeken alsof ik iets heel raars vroeg en werd vervolgens genegeerd.. Personeel zit te schreeuwen onder elkaar, waaronder een werknemer schreeuwt dat er muizen waren. Mijn hele eetlust was weg! Toen ik hierop reageerde zei ze eerst dat het een grapje was, vervolgens gaf ze aan dat er in t verleden eentje was maar nu niet meer zo is en toen ik vroeg als het er nu was zou je het dan toegeven was haar antwoord; “Nee” Belachelijk. Me eten rook verbrand. Na dit allemaal heb ik niet meer kunnen eten en walg ik enorm. Voor mij absoluut een laatste keer.
