Went to see Pinocchio via Social Deal. It was very good.

Nice place, interesting ceiling but in my opinion it is a little to dark inside. Pizza is ok. Really nice person who is making the pizza. We needed to wait long time for a service and later for the bill (especially when restaurant was not fully occupied). In general ok

Overall, it was a below-average experience. The bread they brought to the table with the garlic butter spread was actually the best part of the meal. It was warm, flavourful and really delicious. We also ordered the Pinoccio antipasti platter, which I enjoyed. It was great for sharing and gave us a little bit of everything. The Picante pizza had a good flavour and a nice level of spice, but unfortunately the crust was quite burnt in places, which took away from it. The chicken pizza was the biggest disappointment. It wasn’t just the seasoning or spiciness. The chicken itself didn’t taste good, and parts of the pizza were also heavily burnt. There were some highlights, especially the garlic bread and the starter, but overall the food was inconsistent and the experience was below average.

The food is so delicious! You can pick between not just pasta or pizza, but fish options and other stuff too! Really kind staff, love the atmosphere, great food

What a lovely interior!! We ended up here on someone else's recommendation. I was there with my 8-year-old daughter, and they really made it a party for her. A nice coloring page; a heart-shaped pizza; and picking out a small gift too. She ate 90% of the pizza! That is really a lot for her. I had steak; deliciously tender; tasty potatoes and unique vegetables. Everything matches. We had a wonderful meal.

Filthy pizza! It looked like a burnt, thin tuna pancake. Also, very uninterested service… certainly not like the old reliable Pinocchio used to be.

Saturday 5:30 PM: The pizza base was too hard and partly black; it was busy, but that shouldn't be an excuse. Unfortunately, you don't expect peppers/spiciness on a Marinara, and that was the reason it wasn't completely finished. The Dello Chef was a surprisingly tasty combination, but the proportions were off. The staff was super professional. I didn't notice any atmosphere on the terrace. But the location is beautiful, of course.

Delicious pizzas, intimate atmosphere and good price

We had a fantastic evening. Bought a voucher via Social Deal. But we think what you get for that is top-notch. We went on a Thursday when it was pleasantly full. The staff is working hard to ensure everything runs smoothly. Things were a bit rough for us at the beginning, but that was resolved very skillfully and with passion for the profession. We had a delicious meal and the portions are certainly not small, so we left the table with full stomachs. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy. Are you in Arnhem and in the mood for a good pizza? Then Pinoccio is absolutely worth a visit. The pizzas come from a wood-fired oven, and you can taste it immediately: a delicious crust, fresh ingredients, and simply good quality. What makes it even more pleasant is the hospitality. The staff is friendly and attentive, and you can tell there is a great atmosphere among them. You don't see that everywhere, and it really contributes to a fun evening. For us, it is the perfect destination for a bike ride from Oosterbeek. Just a beautiful ride, and then settling down for an excellent pizza. We will gladly return here.

Chicken lasagna 4. Penne with chicken and mozzarella 1. Salty. Just like snot. Food 2.5. Service was fine. So all in all a 3. But I wouldn't recommend the penne.

We ate here on a Sunday evening via Social Deal. It was moderately busy, but I can imagine it gets a bit cramped inside when everything is full. We both enjoyed the food, and for the money, it was certainly a very good deal. The staff was friendly and the dishes were served quickly. The restaurant has a distinctive interior (Efteling vibes). On the one hand, it is cozy, but it can also be perceived as too dark, too crowded, and dangerous with the long candles with open flames above paper tablecloths. I found the latter a bit worrying, but it didn't spoil the fun.

Poor value for money. My boyfriend and I ate here yesterday, but this is absolutely not something we would return to. Upon entering, there was a strong, unpleasant smell in the restaurant. I had read beforehand that the place was known for its cozy atmosphere, but inside it was almost completely dark. That is why we eventually decided to sit outside. There was talk of homemade soup, but when I asked what I could and couldn't eat because of my allergy, the chef had to look "at the packaging" of the soup first. We found that rather strange for something that is supposedly homemade. Additionally, my boyfriend received a pizza with a burnt crust. He returned it to the chef and fortunately received a new one, but even with that, the entire plate was covered in black charcoal residue. The pizzas also had a strange aftertaste. We were here via Social Deal, where drinks were not included. That is fine in itself, but a Coke cost €3.50. My boyfriend and I had both ordered one Coke, but ended up having to pay €9?! When I mentioned this, the staff could not explain where that extra charge came from. In fact, an extra €0.50 was even added when I wanted to pay by card. All in all, this was a very disappointing experience. Poor service, lack of clarity regarding allergies, mediocre food, and strange prices. We will certainly not be coming back here.

A fairly simple Italian restaurant. It is decorated in a rather old-fashioned style (the same decor for years). A bit like a pancake house. The ceiling is completely covered with bottles. I am not sure if I find it cozy or actually a bit unhygienic. The walls are also blackened by the candlelight. Still, it has a certain charm. The staff is friendly and the food is otherwise fine. The pizza was a bit burnt, but that was resolved nicely with a free drink. Legend 1) Terrible! I advise against it, I will never come back! 2) Disappointing, below my expectations, I won't be coming again. 3) Okay, nothing wrong with it, but not special, nice for one time. 4) Fine, worth coming back for. 5) Excellent! Great, unique atmosphere and very friendly, attentive staff. The four of us had a fantastic meal and went back the next day since we weren't welcome at the Greek restaurant. Good thing we did...because the pasta dishes that evening were also incredibly delicious. That's true enjoyment and excellent service. Keep it up!

What a beautiful restaurant!! Highly recommended. The food wasn't great, but the atmosphere more than made up for it. However, they did offer excellent service for people with gluten allergies. It's a bit of a shame that our drink dad only left a 45-cent tip because he'd mistaken the bill.

⭐☆☆☆☆ What a huge disappointment. Last night we came here to celebrate our second anniversary. We had made a reservation for 6:30 PM because we were craving a good oven-baked pizza. Instead, it turned into a completely ruined evening. Upon arrival, we had to wait 15 to 20 minutes at the door, despite having a reservation. They used a cash register/card malfunction as an excuse, but that's no reason to leave guests with reservations standing around like they don't exist. We were given a table in the back near the emergency exit – uninviting and completely inappropriate for a special evening. Then, no one came to take our order for 20 minutes. My husband had to walk to the bar himself to ask if we could be helped at all. Only then did someone come. Making eye contact with the staff was impossible. After taking our order, it took almost 50 minutes for anything to arrive. The appetizer (shrimp) arrived on time, but after that, it was quiet again. Half an hour after the appetizer, we still hadn't received our pizza. When we complained, the card issue was used as an excuse again. As if a problem prevents you from baking pizzas. At 7:50 PM, we got up and left. That speaks volumes. The person in charge apologized and removed the shrimp from the bill, but that doesn't make up for a ruined anniversary. We paid €42 for two pizzas that we were forced to take away. When we got home, they were cold and not even edible—they ended up in the trash. I lost my time and money, and I'm extremely irritated. A special evening completely ruined by poor organization and lack of service. Absolutely not recommended. We will never return.

This restaurant looks so incredibly beautiful inside, it's like being in a troll's cave. The service is excellent and fast. I found the pasta a bit watery, but the spare ribs were fantastic! I'll definitely be back! I've added a photo of my friend cutting pasta... where are the Italian police?

We don't live near Arnhem, but when we're in the area, we always stop by this fantastic restaurant. Highly recommended for everyone to dine in this charming Italian atmosphere.

Pizza Bomba, an okay restaurant, not exceptional.

I just find those candles so scary on the table, especially with children. I sometimes get so panicky and then I think where can I get out as quickly as possible if a fire breaks out. It's already so small in there.

The candles on the table are very dangerous. Is there any fire safety monitoring? If a candle falls over, you are immediately dealing with a major fire involving everything hanging from the ceiling that could catch fire. There is no way to get away then. I did not feel safe. It is also very dark; I had to use my mobile phone to read the map. Service and food were reasonable. I don't consider spareribs as a starter to be Italian.

We have been there quite often because the food is simply good, but yeah, not so much now... too bad, the pizza base was a pre-made base; I saw them walking around the restaurant with it too. A flat pizza was the result on our plate. Quite tasty, but that's not why I go to a pizzeria.

I hadn't been back for a long time, but I wanted to go again. I did regret it a bit. It was busy, which is understandable during the Christmas holidays. However, the service wasn't friendly. We had to wait a long time for our drinks, and I had to ask for their attention because we'd been waiting over half an hour for our food orders. While other tables who arrived later were already having their food taken, our menus had already been closed. I mentioned it and got the expected answer: "It's busy." But by then it had already quieted down. The food arrived unexpectedly within 10 minutes, which was nice! And the food was delicious! So compliments to the kitchen! We had two spare ribs and a spaghetti bolognese. However, the spare ribs only had one towel for two people. We asked if we could have another towel, and they practically threw it on our table, and not a smile or a "please" came from it. And I also found the candles on the table quite a sight. Absolutely dangerous! I was afraid it would fall over every time. So, in other words, the kitchen is great, but the service really needs improvement, and the tall candles really need to go!

This place is one of a beautiful gem of the Netherlands, located in the city center of Arnhem. It is a wonderful location to have a date with its darkness and candle light lightning, cosy very tasty pizza and pasta. They also provide the best selfmade gluten free pizza's the Netherlands (and maybe Europe) has to offer (in my opinion) I really would recommend this place for people with a gluten allergy and also for couples to have a date night out. this place just doesnt disappoint.

Speedy service. Friendly staff. I had spaghetti Marina with Salmon. Extra mussels and cockles. And my partner had a classic tagliatella al Salmone with a creamy sauce. Very tasteful.

Upon arrival, my note was definitely incorporated into the evening's atmosphere. 100 days together with my girlfriend. Boudewijn knows how to handle these kinds of situations. The food and atmosphere were also top-notch!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this pizzeria. The food was exactly what you'd expect: good and fast service. But what really makes this place special is the atmosphere. It still has that cozy, nostalgic feel of the past, making you feel right at home. The staff definitely deserves a compliment. They were extremely friendly and handled our large group perfectly. Their patience and cheerful interaction with the children was especially heartwarming. During the arrival of Sinterklaas, who happened to be passing by, they played a wonderful game with the enthusiastic little ones. That made the evening extra special.

I've been waiting an hour for my food, and the quality is poor. Not recommended!

The food was good, but I didn't feel the situation was safe. When you enter, it is narrow, dark, and crowded. The place is like a narrow passageway with a lot of people in a small space. There is an (emergency) exit at the front and at the back. If people jump up at the same time and want to reach an exit, the crowd cannot get away in the narrow passageway. Additionally, I found the use of real candles (those tall dinner candles) scary. They weren't exactly standing firmly either, and they were on a paper tablecloth. The risk of them falling over is *real*. This has already been mentioned in previous reviews. My plea is: stop using real candles, or at least use only tea light holders, which are much sturdier. Also because many children come to eat pizza/pasta. The decor, however, seemed to me to be fire-resistant. There was no sprinkler system, though. Still, I didn't feel at ease at all; I was glad the dinner was over. Incidentally, the food tasted fine. The pizza crusts were really delicious, and the pasta is definitely different from what you prepare at home. It took a good 2.5 hours before we had ordered and eaten 3 courses, and the main course didn't arrive until after 1.5 hours.

If you can't eat a pizza crust, something is wrong at a pizza restaurant... such a shame! Nice for a one-time visit, but not worth repeating.

Me and my friend went there for dinner on a very busy Saturday night. I would have given 10 stars if I could 🧡⭐ Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by a gentleman who guided us to a cozy table. Drinks came very fast after we ordered, we ordered tagliatella marinara and Tiramisu taste amazing!! I think the management of the restaurant is superb, all the staff that I met on that day are lovely, they showed genuine care to the customers which made our nights feel special. This is the 1 of the best restaurant in the Netherlands, service standard and food are wonderfully paired. I definitely recommend 👍

I celebrated my birthday at Pinocchio in Arnhem, and it was absolutely fantastic! We were with a large group, and everything was perfectly arranged. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, with candlelight and a fireplace. The food was delicious, and the service was super friendly and attentive. I truly felt like it was my birthday, and everyone enjoyed themselves. I definitely recommend dining here (with a large group)!

The food was okay, not surprisingly delicious. We also had to wait a very long time to order. I even received the wrong pizza, which was resolved promptly. The same with dessert and drinks. We had to wait a very long time to order, and it also took a very long time to receive it because the receipt had been lost. No apology was given. I was really looking forward to pizza (because I always look forward to pizza anyway), but this was a disappointment. I had the pizza carpaccio, and it looked so awful that I can't add a photo, unfortunately. It was also really small, and not even very cheap. The staff was friendly, and the interior looked cozy (we sat on the terrace). The restroom is all the way inside in the back, so if you need to go, you'll have to be there early, as it's quite a walk :)

Restaurant Pinoccio is apparently a household name among true Ernhemmers! Young and old have been there before, and probably have fond memories of it. So, it's quite difficult to offer a critical comment. Maybe I should have just ordered a pizza. But... I had gratinated mussels as a starter and the misto grillo for the main course. The mussels had been simmering for so long that it had essentially become a mussel puree with cheese. It felt to me like the three types of meat were marinated in the same sauce, so the texture was different, but the flavor was the same. Too bad! I love Italian cuisine, but I'll skip Pinoccio for now.

I ate here yesterday and had a mozzarella pasta. I'm not a good cook, but I recently made the exact same pasta for €3 per person in my student house. Then I got a rather soggy tiramisu, which was a real shame when I paid €7 for it. Our glasses were also half empty, and no one asked if we wanted another drink, which we would have appreciated. I tried to contact the staff, but it didn't work. My friend and I ended up going elsewhere for drinks. It's not the most expensive restaurant, and I noticed that in the service and quality of the food.

We had a great meal, the service was super friendly, and the interior was beautifully decorated. We sat on the terrace because the weather was nice, which was also nice with a very pleasant square.

If you like mediocre pizza, this is a good place. But if you want a good pizza, don't go here. At these prices, you should get real cheese and not cheap, artificial, industrial cheese. We thought that was a shame. Otherwise, it's okay.

Very bad... We ordered something and made sure it didn't contain pork, but the opposite was true.

There was delicious gluten-free pizza🍕 which was just as big and crispy as the regular pizzas, which made me very happy. It costs almost €4 more, which is a bit steep, but what wouldn't you do to eat a gluten-free pizza again? (Gluten-free pizza is Pizza Funghi)

Very disappointing. Vegetarian pizza had simply lots of onion and red pepper and no taste at all. Tortellini with ricotta had weird bitter taste as well. They also charged us 7€ for 2 small bottles of still water that I think was tap water, because they brought it without lids and tasted like tap water. Don't recommend at all.

We waited 1 hour for the food to arrive and the table next to us arrived 20 minutes later and was served before us. The pizza dough was disappointing and it seemed like it was a ready-made dough (not airy and dry at all). The pasta was overcooked. The rest was ok, but that's not what I expect from a restaurant. Won't come again.

Very good! I went to this restaurant for dinner. Friendly staff with a very good atmosphere. Lots of pizza alternatives and pizzas were very tasty. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The food was okay. (Not the tastiest) The lasagna was made of minced beef and had a bit of arugula (PLUS + tomato and cucumber and orange). If I could give a grade for the lasagna it would be 6. (a little burnt on the edge but that is normal with lasagna in the oven) Penne pinoccio was a bit dry and there was no real sauce there.

Took them an hour to get us our pizzas and we had to ask them multiple times, and the taste of them did not make it up for the waiting it fortunately. The Pinocchio really had his nose out!

Food quality it was a bit disappointing. Me and my wife ordered some mix grill and pizza here. The mix grill was a bit disappointing. The sparibs was heavily over burned. The chicken was really good though. The pizza korenmarkt was basically minced meat in the middle with a bit garlic sauce and that's it. Huge disappointed. Had pizza here before that was lots better so hopefully it was a day off. The restaurant itself though has a great atmosphere and really love the designs inside.

Super nice and cozy tent with friendly staff! We had indicated that we had to leave on time due to a concert and this was duly taken into account. The food was also very good and a lot of it! In short, highly recommended and we will definitely come back! :)

We visited Saturday evening to celebrate our sons 15th birthday... The food was tasty and everything was pleasant..UNTILL... A tall elderly member of staff came to our table and asked if we were finished with our meals. My wife replied in English and asked if she could repeat the question as she did not understand. The lady then picked up the knife and folk off her plate despite her not being finished and proceeded to explain how she should lay her cutlery on the plate if she is finished. We told her we were not finished with our meals to wich she responded "well this is called dutch etiket, so now you know how to place your knife and folk" . I could hardly believe wat had just happened, it was so inappropriate and rude. The table next to us even turned round and said to us that they have never seen anything like that and it's was not normal. This experience ruined the whole evening for us and we quickly asked for the bill and left the restaurant feeling quite embarrassed. As she was not dressed in uniform I can only assume this woman was management or indeed one of the owners wich in itself is very alarming. You should never touch a customers plate and cutlery unless they tell you they are finished. Surly thats in your dutch etiket aswel ! The other servers had been very polite and friendly.
