Our Nancy wedding cake was a great success. We met her at a wedding fair in Hoorn. Made an appointment for a tasting and ultimately opted for red velvet with fresh strawberries and champagne filling. Contact with Nancy was very pleasant and informal. The cake was neatly assembled on location with our own flowers on it. The next morning we ate the leftovers. Thank you Nancy! Love, Fleur

We walked in feeling a little hesitant, but what a great place! Delicious coffee, super cozy atmosphere (even if you don't want to buy any fancy barrels or accessories 🤪). We were amazed by the view and enjoyed delicious coffee, a latte macchiato, and a slice of delicious apple oatmeal cake. And all for €12 total! Where else can you find that these days? The waitress was incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!

Always super good spring rolls! And the man is very friendly! Other spring roll stands could learn a thing or two from this. I'd happily take a piece for this :-)

The service provided and cooperation with Stella on my engagement day (20/04/25) went beyond all my expectations. I am a very perfectionist and very picky in what I choose for the overall look of the party. The communication and guidance from the first moment of contact was very professional and excellent. I often have difficulty letting go of projects and trusting others to take on the concept and vision, but what I did know for sure from the start with Stella Marina is that they would execute everything more than perfectly. On the day itself, despite the limited time, they set up everything smoothly and I did not notice any time pressure. Everything went exactly as planned and they even brought extra flowers to perfectly complete the look of the bridal table. I don't have enough words to describe how grateful I am for the girls and their hard work. I can only heartily recommend them to everyone!

We ordered cakes for 35 people for our wedding from Ramona at Soulcake. What a great choice!!! We chose her because of the great reviews...we sent her a message on Facebook and got in touch the very next day. From that moment on, we made arrangements, and from start to finish...superb!! All sorts of extra options, such as an engraved cake server, a topper, extra (edible) flowers, delivery, etc. Excellent communication, even better presentation, and the cake itself...the absolute best!! As soon as you step inside, you feel that wonderful, uncomplicated vibe. And the center of it all? Marco, the "terrible guy" who runs this place – and yes, he considers that a big compliment. Marco is just about the most down-to-earth guy you will ever meet. Everyone is welcome, and literally everything is up for discussion. Whether you want to share your life story, unfold a conspiracy theory, or just complain about the weather; Marco is the right place for you. He listens, nods and pours your next beer in the meantime. And speaking of beer: the prices here are a breath of fresh air. Affordable pilsner, dirt-cheap shots and a surprisingly good selection of specialty beers that will make your taste buds rejoice. No complicated stuff, just good, cold thirst quenchers. The music is the icing on the cake. Always good, never too loud, and perfect to complete that relaxed atmosphere. But then there are the karaoke nights... normally I run away screaming at the thought, but in Het Kraantje it's a completely different story. I can't say much about it, except: you have to experience it yourself. It's silly, it's hilarious, and it's... different. It's exactly what you expect from a place run by a "terrible" who knows how to throw a party. So, if you're in Leiden and fancy an evening full of fun, affordable beer, good music and a dose of absurd humour, go to Het Kraantje. Tell Marco that "terrible" sent you. I bet he'll smile!
