Delicious! Super delicious! I ate here once last year when I had a cold, and the owner even gave me medicine. The noodles are delicious, and the owner is very nice. I have to eat here every time I come to ams.

It was so mediocre, I'm outta here! The noodles were just dried rice noodles soaked in water, the tripe was sour, and the beef was okay, nothing special. Considering the outrageous price, I'd better eat something else. Avoid at all costs, as someone from Hunan, this place is truly a dishonor to our famous rice noodles.

I ordered braised beef rice noodles and spicy beef rice noodles, and both were delicious. The portions were generous, and the dish was a feast for the eyes, nose, and palate. The ingredients were high-quality, with large chunks of beef cooked to perfection—tender yet chewy. The side dishes were incredibly layered: the crispy fried egg, the crunchy bean sprouts, and the fragrant peanuts blended perfectly with the rich, spicy broth. The glossy red oil was visually appealing, making it a truly comforting and satisfying meal.

The ramen was not that good and the bathroom was really gross and sticky, and there was no paper nor soup, disgusting really. Overpriced for what is worth, its just a good location.

Even now, thinking about it makes me feel disgusted by that person. The food was not hygienic at all. It tasted like it had been added with technology and some tough stuff, with a strong smell of additives. I originally thought that food in Europe was healthy and hygienic, but I didn't expect it to still be so unhealthy and not fresh. Moreover, the attitude of the waiters was very bad. There was no enthusiasm of overseas Chinese to help each other at all. When they saw that they less ordered on the menu, they would lose their face. This is the worst and most awful Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at in Europe. Moreover, that male waiter had an extremely bad attitude. When asked, he would respond indifferently, looking as if you wanted to eat or not. Even now, when I think about it, I still feel really disgusted to have met such a person.

I highly recommend the braised beef noodles! I was so glad I found this noodle shop after eating Western food for several days during my European trip. I was also delighted to meet a friendly Cantonese-speaking staff member.

A European student ate this and was so moved she almost cried 😭 The portion was huge, she was so full, so happy!

Food was overcooked and the sauce super syrupy. Fine for late night and perhaps what sells but not great. There was a more traditional menu next to what was likely the tourist menu I ordered from so shame on me for not trying more traditional. Service was great, kind and efficient. Atmosphere was fine.

This is absolutely outrageous! We had just sat down when the middle-aged waitress came over and asked, "How dare you two sit here?" It sounded like she was implying we were sitting at a large table. What the heck?! Is that even possible? She acted like she was crazy. Then, as she left, she gave us a dirty look—I'm absolutely certain I didn't misread it. So we just left. It's utterly incomprehensible. I don't know how the food was, but this waitress's behavior was incredibly poor and extremely offensive. I hope she's fired as soon as possible; please, everyone, don't come to this restaurant!

The waitress in the restaurant is a slut. With few customers and plenty of space, we chose to sit at a four-person table by the window. This woman immediately came over and berated us for sitting there, giving me a huge eye roll. Did something terrible happen to her family that made her so upset that she had to lash out at us tourists without even asking what happened? Does she think she's superior just because she's doing business overseas? Even more ridiculous, after that eye roll, she avoided eye contact with us at our table. She's all talk and no action! This woman will only ever be a lowly restaurant server, and with her around, the restaurant will go out of business sooner or later.

A no go. Watery soup and the 5€ tea which presentation leaves a lot to be desired.. Good I haven’t order more.

The food here was very good and we enjoyed the meal. The bathroom was absolutely horrid. There was no soap. The floor was sticky and it looked like a public toilet inside the building. We enjoyed the duck and the noodles. I would not recommend the spring rolls they were flat and didn’t really have much in them.

If it weren't for my colleague wanting to come and eat, I would have left long ago... .The rice noodle is spicy and nice. The floor of the toilet is very sticky. I really can’t stand it!

The food was not good at all for this price. In Tom Yam soup there were only 2 shrimps and only soup liquid. No good flavor, just spicy water. And food smelled also very badly. We didn’t finish our food and payed 75€.

I wouldn't recommend eating at this Thai restaurant if it wasn't made by Thai people. I was craving a spicy, flavorful soup, but was extremely disappointed. Even my foreign friend said it wasn't good. This wasn't Tom Yum; there wasn't a single chili pepper in the soup. The taste was terrible. The food I ordered was incomplete, and when paying, they included items I didn't order and made me pay for them. It took a long time to resolve the issue before they finally refunded my money.

The fish in 酸菜鱼 was very flavourful. Unfortunately, the tofu was sour. The braised beef noodle was very authentic. The iced lemon tea was little pale.

The rice noodles weren't chewy, and none of them were more than 3 centimeters long. I asked if they were overcooked, since Hunan rice noodles shouldn't be like that. The waiter politely replied that they've always been like that...

They charge extra but reduce the portion... The braised pork rice only has two bites of rice, and it's 16 euros?! I thought there was a truly authentic rice noodle shop, but they've driven all their customers away. Good luck, it's gone now.

That might be the worst dining experience ever. Food was TERRIBLE! 4 adults and all of us barely touched the food! Disgusting. Forgot 1 of 4 main dishes. Ordered seaweed salad and they brought us a pile of lettuce with a thought of seaweed on top. Plus the WC was gross. Grease all over the place,could had easily slipped in there. Terrible experience.

Was there last Saturday, asked for a vegetarian pad thai, brought with chicken. The waiter even asked before if I eat eggs, to which I said yes. My friends food was very oily and I found some egg shells in my food, so I guess they gave me a whole chicken to eat 😅. Bathrooms handle was coming off and the floor of the bathroom was so oily haha. Brought out the wrong order food after everybody else had finished . Then brought the second order out wrong . Then brought a curry sauce out 10 mins after we’d finally had our food . Food was bland and tasteless. Avoid . And the staff were rude .

A really solid Asian restaurant. We were there for lunch; it was quite busy, but the service was still quick and satisfactory. The food was authentic and tasty. Prices were quite high for Amsterdam. I would go again.

It's accessed via stairs from the main street. It has a modest atmosphere, only one waiter, and the service is fast. And the food is AMAZING!! We had shrimp pad thai and spicy fish. The fish portion was especially large. Two people were completely full from just the two. If you like East Asian cuisine, you absolutely must visit! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

If you're thinking of going to this place because of all the good reviews, then please reconsider! This place shouldn't be this highly reviewed in the first place. It's too expensive for the quality of food. They have Chinese, Thai, and Japanese cuisine. I ordered some Thai (Tom Khan soup, and Thai Red Curry) and Japanese (Takoyaki and Crispy Chicken) food. The Thai food didn't taste like any Thai food I've had before, and the Japanese food was just not good. It's probably the worst Takoyaki and Crispy Chicken I've ever had. I have no clue if the Chinese food is good, but if it's anything like the food I had, I don't have much hope.

The staff does not allow you to take water, tea or drinks from outside, probably to force you to pay for their expensive drinks and take more money from customers. Thats very sad practices.

This is my go-to late-night eatery. It stays open very late, and I come here whenever I crave spicy food. The taste is authentic; I always order the spiciest, and ask the owner for extra chili peppers. The beef is stewed until tender and doesn't get stuck in your teeth. The owner is also very honest and kind. 👍

A Chinese male waiter had an extremely rude attitude!! In the summer, when it was very hot, I asked him if he could turn on the air conditioning, and he not only rolled his eyes but also replied rudely that he couldn't, saying it wasn't hot enough. Did he expect people to die of heat before he'd turn it on? The food has also gotten worse and worse, and the prices have gone up. The pork tripe and chicken rice that was previously available is gone. The noodles were delivered broken into pieces, only three or four centimeters long. Very poor service 👎

Food here is as authentic as it could be. I had sichuan spicy and it was great. Top notch service. Only downside is the toilet and its condition..

Taiwanese people commented that the spicy beef noodles were quite delicious, but the soup wasn't hot enough and not spicy enough. It was spicy and the meat was tender. Coco is next door, so you can go there and have some with it.

It was so delicious. A family of three ordered a spicy beef noodle dish and a golden soup boiled fish (with rice). We were very full and the boiled fish came with a lot of vegetables. Highly recommended

We ordered food to take away, but the lady was disrespectful and extremely rude towards us. She told us we only needed to wait 5 minutes, but after 10 minutes, when we checked with her, she said the food was not cooked yet and that we had to wait longer. She also told us to step aside so she could get chopsticks, and her attitude was unpleasant. This was probably because she was upset about an argument with her colleague. We would never come to this place ever again no matter how good the food is.

A small restaurant hidden at the busiest tourist section that's perfect for whoever's feeling like noodle soup in Amsterdam's chilly days. Red Braised Rice Noodle is nicely seasoned, reasonably portioned (if you consider the location). Note that the noodles are on the softer side so maybe not for everyone.
