The food was delicious, with fairly large portions, a beautiful setting, lots of flavor (sweet, salty, and spicy), and authentic Chinese. I ran past it several times during my runs. It's not a particularly flashy restaurant (located in a hotel). It has a lot of potential if they advertise it more (in the neighborhood) and, above all, train their waiters. The waiter who helped us wasn't very attentive and didn't know much (he was new to the job). Definitely recommended for those who want to try authentic Chinese cuisine!

First of all, the food is delicious and very authentic. There is a huge amount of choice, which is almost overwhelming. The prices are very reasonable. The service is friendly. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but very large and somehow a bit lacking in atmosphere. Typical ‘lift music’ plays in the background. What also does not help the atmosphere is that after a table is empty, an employee drives along the tables with a trolley to scrape the plates clean on the spot and then stack them on the trolley. But we will definitely go back.

It's such a blessing to be able to eat such authentic Chinese food in the Netherlands! I went there twice in a week! The dishes in the pictures are great! Friends who like spicy flavors must try the twice-cooked pork! The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, the music and the food are very cozy, there are large round tables that are very suitable for family dining, the waiters are also very enthusiastic, and the experience is perfect

Surprisingly nicely decorated place. We only had a drink and a portion of karaage. It could have had a bit more herbs. The menu had the most exciting dishes. Think of intestines and duck blood stew. No thanks.

We have been customers here for quite some time, but the kitchen has changed and there are different chefs present. They are more focused on traditional Chinese cuisine now. Every dish we ate was a culinary discovery! Incredibly tasty and fresh. Real Chinese food in Schiedam! Great service, friendly and fast. Best Chinese restaurant in the area here! Will come back here often in the future.

Last Saturday, April 12, my mother and I had dinner at this restaurant. From the beginning to the end we received super sweet and attentive service from the waiter! The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the food was delicious. The menu we received had a lot of choice and the portions were perfect. It was also very sweet that the chef himself came out of the kitchen to ask if everything was to your liking. All in all, we really enjoyed it and we will definitely come back! ❤️ Unfortunately, it is not possible to post the photos.

Extremely tasteless... a snack in the chip shop, far too greasy peanut sauce and my latte was mainly boiled milk, the owners were constantly walking around the restaurant with their cell phones... never again

Ate here for the first time today. Shared dining is fun, but the pace of preparing and serving food could be increased a bit. If all tables were occupied, I can understand that it would take a little longer. The food we ordered tasted very good and the portion sizes were also good, nothing to complain about.

We had a wonderful romantic dinner at 1001 Kitchen and Bar, located on the ground floor of Havendijk Hotel. The atmosphere was perfect, with flavorful Asian street food and live music creating a cozy and vibrant dining experience. The menu offers a great variety of Asian street food, with prices ranging from €6-€12, even for main dishes! Everything we tried was delicious, well-seasoned, and surprisingly affordable. A big thank you to Sammi for her amazing hospitality, she made sure we had a fantastic time. Highly recommend this spot for a great night out with excellent food and service!

I recently had dinner at 1001 Kitchenbar in the Havedijk Hotel. Overall it was a nice experience. The food was delicious and well prepared, with flavors that had clearly been put together with care. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting. One point of attention: the operation. Although the waitress was friendly, she sometimes seemed a bit rushed and did not pay enough attention to the people at the table. It would be nice if there was more interaction and attention for the guests, for example to check whether everything is as desired or to refill drinks on time. Nevertheless, it was a great evening, and I would definitely consider coming back here again. With a little bit more attention to service the experience would be perfect!

Delicious food, you don't expect it at this location

Empty restaurant when we arrived and we now understand why. Service was a disaster and the chef incredibly arrogant. He didn't want to take into account the fact that someone was vegetarian at the table. We had neatly reported this to the service, but they did not respond. It is a set menu with different dishes. We completely understand that, but you can indicate what each dish is to prevent someone from accidentally eating something they shouldn't. Not here! They even deliberately indicated twice that something was vegetarian even though it was chicken. This is simply not possible.. so disappointing 🥲.. and a shame because the business certainly has potential. We went to talk to the chef about this, because we already noticed twice that something was really chicken. "Well, that's possible, I can't do anything about it, you don't have to start with me," we were told. Finally we asked for the manager and they said that he wasn't there and that they certainly weren't going to call anyone for this. I asked for the number at the hotel reception and had someone on the phone. Who then told us that we are looking for free food? This while we came with a complaint... We had already paid in advance via social deal, so the fact that we do not want to pay is not correct in any case. Very strange reaction. We understand that we cannot expect much through social deal, but this went very far. Anyway - we left the food for what it was, paid the bill for the drinks and left and went to eat somewhere else. Too bad, but unfortunately, we will never come back. Ironically, during this experience we also came across a beautiful sign 😅.. see image.

Found through Social Deal and very happy with the experience. The staff are friendly and attentive. We were immediately given the drinks menu and had our drinks quite quickly. We were also asked if we wanted to start immediately with the first course or if we wanted to enjoy our drink first. Even after the first and second course, we were asked whether we wanted to continue straight away or wanted some more time. The food was of good quality and prepared with attention. We had a selection of different Asian dishes, including: spring rolls, dumplings, bao bun, rendang, tikka marsala, spicy eggplant and ice cream. There are a number of 'bird cages' that you can sit in and that create a feeling of private dining. There is a good chance that we will come back here again

My husband's favorite is the satay, for me the carpaccio sandwich🍽 Nice ambiance, friendly staff and very tasty food for a fair price in these times. Recommended! The only thing I miss is a wardrobe or perhaps we walked past it, that is of course also possible, our jackets in the booth are the only things I can comment on or would rather call a tip. Otherwise in tip top condition! See you soon!

Three star for the quantity of beer they offer compare to other restaurants in the city. Food is actually frozen food make for you. Breakfast is also so la-la. Egg scramble taste like something but not egg. No fixed staffs, feeling like they are changing every hours. One day we got peanut with our drinks. Next day nothing, even after asking. It's also something but not a proper Hotel.

This restaurant with a light Asian theme is only new - in a hotel in a remote corner of Schiedam - but is definitely recommended! The decoration is nice - lots of greenery, with large copper bird cages where groups can sit. I don't have a single bad word to say about the food - from bao's to curries and excellent Korean Fried Chicken - but the restaurant has few staff, so hotel employees have to help out - and that sometimes shows. I hope they get more staff soon!

I have been here twice now and it is a very attractive location where they serve good and tasty food. It is just not that busy and that is partly because it is located in a hotel and is not very visible from the outside. If you have any doubts...don't do it. You're going to like the food.

The food was very tasty, but the service left much to be desired. We asked twice to sit in a booth: the waitress promised to come get us when one was free, but each time they let people who came in after us go ahead of us ("sorry, forgot"). It took almost an hour for our main course to finally arrive, after we had finished our starter. We were not given clean plates for the main course and had to reuse the small plates (+ cutlery) from the starter. There is also no observation of the room: we tried several times to order drinks, but no one noticed us. In short: the service can be improved.

I had the spare rips. This was outstanding!! This have been probably the best spare rips, I ever had! And I’m barbecue fan and in the fifties 😅. I spoke to the cook / owner . All is own prepared and marinaded. They still started the restaurant. I wish them all the best!
