11 ONCE in Centrum

I am very disappointed with this restaurant. We booked a table on Saturday August 3rd, we got a confirmation for the booking, we got a reminder the same day, and we went there and the restaurant was closed.

Love the food, great service the staff are very nice and the atmosphere is very comfortable

The restaurant is super cute and decorated with beautiful things. I liked that the waiter speaks Spanish. The food and the whole vibe made me think I'm in Mexico again. Super good!!

Electrifying atmosphere with tingling sensations from the stomach to the sleeve, come in and be prepared for a shock.

Good food and service. I like the fact that they don’t taste like the typical Dutch mexican restaurant we have in Groningen. We tried the el pastor taco (not very special, but the salsa was very good), but I recommend the taco sampler and the rib eye! Portion is on the smaller side for the price in my opinion.

A group of 7 people went out for a late dinner and we walked in shortly before closing and they agreed to take us. The food was amazing, drinks were good and well priced. With everyone getting food and alcoholic beverages the total price was $115 so fairly cheap: one person celebrated a birthday and the staff brought out cake and shots for the table and sang and played games free of charge with no prompting from anyone at the table. I would recommend this place and will be returning with this group.

I like coming here because the tacos are good and they play great music (no reggaeton). <3

When I ordered a burrito I expected a burrito and not an overly large tortilla filled with only rice and pieces of meat. Apart from the quality of the meat, the rest of the meal is not good. Worst burrito I've ever had. Zero taste and expensive as hell. No vegetables and very strange flavors that I couldn't place. The fries were also...sour?? What on earth is going on in your kitchen?? I even had to douse the whole thing with ketchup to make it edible.

Delicious food, especially the beef. Careful presentation of the dishes. Few dessert options. The treatment of the exquisite staff. Thanks to Diego and Ricardo for their attention.

Ate here a few weeks ago. Delicious! The nachos as a starter can easily be shared between two people. Good tequila too, if I can believe my table companion.

Had dinner here on Friday, May 10, and it certainly has nothing to do with Mexican food. Appetizer nachos chicken, chicken with flying hours, pureed beans and strange kind of nachos. One main course was chicken enfrijoladas, it was cold, the dough was mushy because of the pureed beans and very boring. One ribeye overcooked and half of it consisted of fat without salt and pepper and some fries with cheese. Overall boring and tasteless and nothing Mexican about the food. Walk a little further and you'll come to Four Rose's, much better. Wasted €79 euros, luckily the beer still tasted good because they couldn't mess it up. Not recommended and unfriendly staff and unpleasant restaurant.

Food is okay, but nothing special. Servers are friendly but very very inexperienced, they don't know what's on the menu or how you should serve out food. No one speaks Dutch in the restaurant, which is always a bit of a shame.

Terribly inedible and very expensive for what you get: €34 for a ribeye without anything, weak fries, smelled and tasted like old socks🤢

Disappointed! This was one of my favorite place to have dinner, but they changed ownership and the food lost its authenticity. We order tacos and I had to pay extra for the salsa, (not even extra salsa) The chicken enchiladas were very spicy couldn’t even taste the tortilla nor the chicken. Dinner plates didn’t even have rice or beans we had to pay extra.

Huge disappointment. No authentic flavors and it all tastes thrown together and like something you could make at home. Also no authentic things like barbacoa and carnitas on the menu. And the shrimp with rice had hardly any taste and was only spicy. In short: not worth repeating for us.

Crap ! Cold dishes dirty cutlery. Never again'. I won't add anything else out of decency!!

Very unfortunate in every respect. We were looking forward to having dinner at our favorite restaurant in Groningen, until we soon realized that it had a new owner. Service is mediocre, the nachos are way too salty, the tacos are well priced but are very monotonous, a lot of fries, the rice is too salty. The menu is simpler and lacks the more authentic dishes that made the previous Once so distinctive. The dishes recommended by the wait staff also happened to be the most expensive dishes. It all didn't add up one way or another. We went home sad.

Actually disappointed. The food was tasty, but the portions were somewhat meager for what you pay. Guacamole was on the sour side. Drinks were also very tasty, but both of my beers were taken from the table before I finished them. Shame. Cocktails are recommended.

It used to be a great authentic restaurant. Recently new ownership has been brought leaving this once wonderful establishment a shell of its former glory. Food is simple, small portions, and sides are sold separately. Lost all authenticity.

Someone suggested this restaurant. I was really excited, because I heard good things about it. But portions really small and way too expensive for what you get. Not full after combining multiple dishes, but the total amount was already what you expect from dining out and it wasn’t even worth it to order more anymore… Taste was okayish. Not bad, but also not that special. It just wasn’t the restaurant quality that I expect from a Mexican restaurant. It was something I could make myself. Service was good, quick and servers were friendly. Hope it will deliver better quality/price ratio in the future and more tasteful dishes. Drinks were great!

Unfortunately it was disappointing for us. Food was very variable. My companion's meat dish was very good, but the crispy tacos were very greasy and only filled with chicken, not recommended. The restaurant smelled like sewage and it was also cold. The decor was cozy and the staff was friendly.

Favourite place in Netherlands. Always liked a small trip to Mexico.

The food tastes like it smells (old frying fat). Little choice. Bad operation. Concept with rounds in which you can tick something on a note. It is unclear what salsa is which and what belongs to which. We always had to go get the note ourselves. Waitress was always talking to the only cook. There were people who complained that she didn't come, but fifteen minutes later she still wasn't there

After a previous great experience, this time (Wednesday evening) they only had tacos and the two types I tried only came with meat or meat and fries, without any kind of other flavours or textures. Not coming back again.

We came hungry and willing to eat delicious burritos, but the place was closed although it was opening time already (12:15 on Saturday). Now we seat in the place across the Rowan

De kaart is verkleind tot 6 type tortillas waar je uit kan kiezen. Het rundvlees was droog maar de kip was heerlijk. Te prijzig voor wat je krijgt. We wilden uit dineren maar dit was even snelle snack zo voelde het. Ze doen erg hun best maar het loopt allemaal nog niet. Ik kom graag nog eens als er weer een normale menukaart is.

Ik was hier vorig jaar een aantal keer geweest en de ervaring was toen erg goed, nu helaas totaal anders. Service was slecht we moesten erg lang op het drinken wachten en ook het eten was niet meer wat we gewend waren. Porsies waren veel kleinere en niet in verhouding met de prijs. In het verleden heb ik dit restaurant aangeraden dat zou ik momenteel niet meer doen!

Beperkte kaart en behoorlijk ad prijs. Bediening sprak Engels en twee keer verkeerd drinken ontvangen. Rekening moesten we zelf om vragen, kwam niemand meer ad tafel.

The atmosphere and location are great. Less content about the service: It took long to order a drink, receiving a wrong drink and a wrong entré which was not ordered. When asking for the status of the last missing meal there came no reply from a yawning staffmember. It might've been a fluke this evening seeing a different table also had issues with their order. A different staffmember did confirm if the desserts and coffees were right. It was a crowded night. The food we did get was very enjoyable. ( recommended to order an extra side dish when choosing the Rib-eye, or pick any of the other main meals if going for a more filling experience). I would order the chicken adobado again. The corn however was was burnt too much on a couple of spots.

We kwamen hier na de positieve reviews online, maar het viel erg tegen uiteindelijk. De eigenaar was duidelijk meer bezig met geld verdienen dan de gasten, het eten was droog en zonder smaak en de acoustics waren slecht; de radio stond aan het begin van de avond te hard aan waardoor elkaar verstaan lastig was. We zijn verbaasd dat het restaurant zoveel positieve reviews gekregen heeft.

I came here with zero expectations and got surprised in the best way possible. Arguably the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, hands down. Don’t sleep on this place. Reservation not needed, due to being underrated.

If you are looking for proper Mexican food to you should come here. It reminds me my holiday in Mexico. I love 11 Once!

Leuk Mexicaans restaurant. Fijne bediening.

Excellent Mexican food, I tried the vegetarian enchilada on Saturday 9 Sep and was one of the best Mexican dishes I had for a long time. My daughters very much enjoyed their plates too. Dishes were rather late to arrive (for which they kindly apologised) but the quality of the food was top. Well done!

Wat een ervaring! Echt genoten. Ik had erg zin in een burrito en zag online (thuisbezorgd/uber eats) dat ze die hadden voor €9-10. Eenmaal daar was dit niet voor diner, alleen voor de lunch, maar ik mocht het nog wel bestellen (was er vroeg). De prijs was hoger dan online (€13), maar dat was het zeker waard, nog nooit zo’n goed gevulde en smaakvolle burrito gehad! Heb de helft maar op gekregen zo groot! Je krijgt bij dineren van te voren wat zelfgemaakte tortilla chips met zwarte bonen saus. Alles is overigens zelfgemaakt, wat het goddelijk maakt! Burrito standaard rijkelijk gevuld met rijst, zwarte bonen saus, kaas en ik koos voor de beef met bacon, paprika en ui. Ook hier krijg je nog guacamole en chips bij. Het was overigens ook geen probleem de guacamole in te wisselen voor sour creme, wat champignons bij de burrito erin te doen en een glaasje kraanwater te bestellen. De bediening was super goed! Leuke praatjes gemaakt en kan veel over de keuken en ingrediënten vertellen. Ben je naam vergeten…maar dikke complimenten naar de Argentijnse ober! Kom zeker terug, zeer smaakvol en raadt het aan!

wesome, This is the best Mexican restaurant in town. The food was tasty and fresh. This is definitely not Tex Mex but authentic Mexican. But this drink is the spiciest we've ever had, my husband and I can eat quite spicy but this was another level. It was tequila with Jalapeño pepper in it. It was good, but our mouths were on fire. We laughed a lot about it but couldn't finish it. The staff was also very friendly and they have nice cocktails! We will definitely come back.

The food is very below par. Worst Mexican food I ever had honestly. I really hope they can make it better. The location and atmosphere are good.

Delicious food and cocktails, but a bit too expensive for the portions you get. I felt some of the meals didn’t have much spices and flavour. However, the bean paste and guacamole were very good. I ended up paying 2x for enchiladas due to a mutual mistake - waiter didn’t ask what type I wanted and I forgot to mention I wanted the vegetarian option. Only realized when the dish was ready that it was with chicken. I had to pay the full price for it but again- it was also my mistake for not mentioning it earlier.

Delicious food and as far as I can tell authentically Mexican. I had the enchiladas and quacemole. Cocktails are delicious as well. However for the quantity I believe the price is a bit steep. We went on a busy night (Friday) and the place was noisy, maybe something can be done for the aucoustics. Very friendly servers. Would go again on a quieter evening.

We hebben hier fantastisch gegeten, heerlijk eten en goeie cocktails in een gezellige ambiance met vriendelijke service. Wij komen hier absoluut terug om de rest van de kaart te proeven.

The food was good in general, great flavor in the mushroom tacos and guacamole. The rice and mashed beans were nicely seasoned. It didn't feel as authentic Mexican food, but the food was good. The agua de Jamaica was specially good, I recommend everyone to try it.

Heerlijk tentje om goed Mexcicaans eten te eten.

Het eten kwam lekker snel. Mijn gerecht was mij helaas te pittig en ze boden direct aan om iets anders voor me te maken. Mijn tafelgenoot had als hoofdgerecht 2 voorgerechten en omdat zij beter bestand is tegen pittig eten hebben we geruild. Erg lekker gegeten! Zeer vriendelijke bediening 🙂

Acabo de encargar mi comida aquí por primera vez. Estuvo deliciosa. Hasta el refresco de jarritos de mango llegó frío. Los totopos sabían como si uno estuviera allá en México. El mejor restaurante mexicano del norte del país sin duda alguna.

Amazing! The service especially. Very fast, very polite and just overall friendly. The food is authentic and really good. The athmosphere is clean and fits the food and the service. Will come back again and again and again.

Friendly staff, decent atmosphere. However, the chicken leg was completely red on the inside, very raw. The rest of the food -- rice, black bean soup -- was OK at best.

Hele fijne ervaring gehad bij ONCE. Het restaurant ziet er goed en modern uit. Eten is goed en wordt snel geserveerd. Erg aardige gastheer gesproken aan tafel. Leuk om een keertje te eten tijdens je volgende bezoek aan Groningen! Tip: neem sowieso het dessert 😄
