A usual Salsa shop restaurant, nothing special. Food is good, staff is friendly and usually quick.

We were really in the mood for spicy Mexican food again and so we gave the salsa shop a chance. Very tasty burritos, freshly prepared and friendly service. The atmosphere is also harmonious. The saying you should eat like no one is watching fits 😅

Salsa shop serves some of the best Mexican food in town! Their beef quesadilla is flavorful and crispy, while the loaded nachos come with a variety of delicious sauces. The staff is super friendly, making the experience even better. Plus, students get 20% off, absolutely a great deal for great food! Highly recommend!

Delicious food for a good price

It was very yummy but not really my style, but the restaurant wasn't very different or super special or anything so, I would recommend but it's not the best food in the world, I do love how you can choose all your topping and how they have tons of toppings to choose from!

The food was very tasty, although pricey, but that's not the case these days. I would have liked more choices in terms of sauces. There is also good spicy food and it looked nice and neat.

Ordered for the first time, what a shock! 40 euros for 1 burrito and 2 small quesedillas, arrived really ice cold, not very strange after waiting an hour and a half and then also 6 euros delivery costs and 2 euros service costs.. HOW? not special in terms of taste, bland. I can't wrap my head around the fact that you pay 40 euros and still be hungry. They should be ashamed of themselves! Once, but certainly never again!

Food was good, we had the spicy one. If you can't handle spicy, don't have it, it's really spicy. Nice for us.

I really liked the burrito bowl. I'm always curious to try new things and this was something I never had before but I liked it a lot! The service was great as well and it's very cozy upstairs! The cutlery was a bit stained and the tables weren't that clean either but the food was really good! There is also a student discount here which I hadn't experienced at a restaurant before so that was really nice!

We got stone cold burritos. All sauces were also forgotten and so we had no crème fraiche with the quesadillas and no sauce with the burritos. Very dissatisfied, price is way too high for what you (don't) get. After an invitation I was able to eat for free on location and the staff was very friendly and the food was also much better.

It was quite cold on one side with the lettuce and avocado. Warm on the other side. Strange experience, never had a burrito like it. The rice was also very large. Cookie was delicious.

Ordered from the Salsashop. And we'll never do that again. The food was cold, the sauces were forgotten and the food also tasted bland. Paid €52 for 2 (albeit mega) burritos and 2 (very small) quesadillas.

Food is very variable. Yesterday it was good and the food was severely substandard several times. Small portions for high amounts, a pity. Hopefully Salsa will pick itself up again like it did a few years ago.

Unfortunately, the order was not received properly, it was wet, cold and therefore a sticky mess. A shame because it would not have been due to the products themselves. Contacted by telephone, the money would be refunded. Have not received anything yet. Also no response to emails. Would have liked to try it again, but not. Waste of money.

Last time I had them the sour cream was good, but this time it was very liquid, and I’m not sure if that is how it is supposed to be. The staff is helpful and straightforward. A year ago I wrote here that I thought the burritos were sparsely filled these days. In response I received that every effort is made to fill the burritos generously. That may be subjective, what is not subjective is that you advertise with 650 gram burritos. Now I have weighed the burritos at home the last few times and they never came close (500-550 grams), but today's burrito (12-10) was severely undersized, a paltry 419 grams: that is more than a third less than advertised!

It is a nice place, strategic position, good spot to have your stomach filled after a walk around the city center. Student friendly as well in terms of the price n food choices. They have a really good food, Nice n friendly staffs too.

Pretty nice place. We ordered burritos for takeout. There is a 20% discount for students and overall the food is nice. However the 'spicy' sauce is basically just a mild.

Honestly, I didn't think the service was good, I spoke Spanish and so did the girl who served me but she didn't pay attention when serving my tacos. She gave them to me as I wanted and not as I had asked for them. The attention seems quite slow to me. They had a lot of trash next to the bathroom. The tacos were good although the truth is that I have tried better ones and at a better price. The lemonades were very watery, I honestly didn't like it.

Best Mexican in Groningen. As an American it reminds me of Chipotle back home. Good portions and lots of topping options. Guac is worth the price.

We had burritos and found them very tasty. In addition, the service was very nice. There is an option to wash your hands in the dining area, which we thought was great. Otherwise clean toilets and short waiting times. Definitely worth a try!

Good burritos. The guacamole was worth the extra. They need to fix the front door, I think it should be upgraded, and the interior could be made more cozy, it’s a decent restaurant so I give it five stars, I e been back like 7 times already because I’m never disappointed 🙂😋

I ordered the corn tortillas and the person serving me was pretty new. I am not blaming the new person but the managerial style. The person did not know which is which and forgot to use gloves. Honestly, did not mind this one bit. What was disappointing was the corn tortillas. I understand that corn tortillas are a bit more fragile than flour tortillas but the tacos literally fell apart while I was trying to eat them. When I asked if the corn tortillas were stale, one of the employees showed that they come in a vacuum-packed bag and then blamed the new employee. Honestly, their saving grace was they had cholula hot sauce. +1

Very tasty food. They also have a very tasty but very hot sauce that comes with a warning sign. Not for the faint hearted, but recomended for the people that can handle the heat.

Somehow it's way better getting it at the location than ordering it. It's one of the best quick, affordable, and delicious foods to get in the city centre. However, the restaurant bit could be a bit more cosy. Do something about the lighting! Great beef and great vegan option

Amazing food with fresh salsas that really bring life to the food. I’ve had almost every type of meat and vegetarian dishes all holding up well in their taste. The meat is always rich in flavor and juicy (never dry). For the vegetarian dishes they didn’t just taste like veggies on a wrap but an actual meal with their salsas and toppings. Lastly the burritos and bowls really fill you up and I love that it’s not just tasty but filling (great for a student budget). The service is always friendly and helpful when having questions over their ingredients. I also loved that I could sample the salsa before choosing it for my meal!

Pretty good prices and there's a student discount. Only beans available are black beans, and the spiciest salsa was barely spiced to us (we're american). :/ The jamaica (they call it hibiscus water) was good!

Ik ben bij de salsa shop Groningen geweest. Ik heb me burrito als take away mee genomen. Aan het einde kan je je saus kiezen, benoemd dat ik “not spicy” wou, was mijn eerste keer daar dus er werd saus op gedaan. Begin ik thuis aan mij burrito en staat mijn mond volledig in de fik. Gebeld om te vragen waar het mis ging. Kreeg ik de vraag waarom ik het niet zei toen ik bij de winkel was (was mijn eerste keer). Als enige wat ik terug kreeg was. Dat ik terug kon komen om een koekje te halen. Een koekje staat gelijk aan een burrito van 14.95 blijkbaar…. Burrito weg moeten gooien omdat ik met tranen in mijn ogen aan het eten was.
