On 22.09.25, between 12:00 and 13:00, I had a very unpleasant experience at one of the tables near the exit of Markthal. A female staff member behaved extremely rude and aggressive when I sat down with a coffee bought next door. This review is not about the café itself, but specifically about this staff member’s unprofessional behavior.

Great little tabas bar in Rotterdam's market hall. As soon as you walk in, you'll spot them right on the corner. They have pintxos, small tapas para picar, and larger tapas. Everything is homemade and fresh. They don't have any freezers, which always scores points! They also serve a variety of Spanish beers, both bottled and on tap. Fantastic! You'll be served quickly, and the service is very friendly. The Spanish music adds to the vibe. Definitely worth a stop.

Yo como aquí cada vez que estoy en Rotterdam y por lo general es muy bueno. En esta visita me sentí decepcionado, pedí pan con tomate - no lo tenían. Pedí tortilla - ya no está en el menú. ¿Dos de los platos más clásicos de la cocina Española y ninguno disponible? Fui por los boquerones y unos pinxos en cambio los dos estaban muy buenos.

Awful customer service. Pintxos are average, but you’re deep in north Europe, not sure why you’d try a Pintxos bar here instead of something local, especially one with awful staff. Serve you like you’re an inconvenience, sighing and stropping like toddlers - don’t be a doormat and spend your money on the number of other vendors in the hall, or go elsewhere in Rotterdam for great tapas and Pintxos.

The pinchos are awesome, you don't know which one to choose. A place on the roof crowns the whole thing, a must for us when we are in the Markthal.

In de vitrine zie je de pinchos die uitnodigen om van al dat lekkers iets uit te zoeken. Ze hebben een kaart met nog meer heerlijke gerechten. We namen de pulpo en de iberico. Beiden waren super. Fijne bediening. De pulpo -2 keer besteld- die was zoooo lekker. Nog nooit zo n heerlijke tentakel gegeten: super zacht, mals en fijn gekruid. Ook de iberico was prima, rijkelijk geserveerd. Valse for money , alsof je je in Spanje waant - met de vergelijkbare prijzen. Gauw weer langs gaan

Een plek met de beste Spaanse tapas en wijnen van Nederland. Mijn favoriete plek in Rotterdam Centrum. De reden dat de markthal bestaansrecht heeft komt door Cas en zijn team. De wijnen en cocktails smaken heerlijk. Elk gerecht is een kunstwerk en smaakt voortreffelijk. Zowel geschikt voor zakelijke als privé afspraken.

Have read that some Spaniards feel this place does not represent Spanish food that well. I had a maternal grandfather who was Spanish, I lived in Spain as a child and have subsequently been to Spain quite a bit. I think the food was delicious! The croquetas were amazing, the pimientos padrón was also top notch and the bread with aioli was equally good. The crema catalana was perhaps not the best I've tasted, but the rest was good. The waiter was super nice and attentive and the place was beautiful. Had a view of the entire Markthal. Can be highly recommended.

Yes, these are delicious sandwiches! Tasty tapas. Nice to eat with a group. Owner is also super hospitable and pleasant!!! We ate pinchos, 3 each as a snack/appetizer... lots of variations, including vegetarian options, and we really enjoyed them! As a full meal, so more than 3 pinchos per person, I can imagine that it will be pricey.

El nombre de este lugar no es engañoso - ofrecen pintxos auténticos. . . Nos dieron dos taburetes en el bar y compartimos una selección de pintxos frescos y un poco de vino blanco. Personal agradable, y en el concurrido Markthal una ligera reminiscencia de los concurridos bares de pintxos de Bilbao. . .

An Spanish place, but not for Spanish people..... Food is just decent, a place where you can come if you a bit of homesickness but the personal... some is really nice and another not so nice. Zoe just followed he'd steps and did her job but fleur, I don't even know how to type her name, for an Spanish place is not so recommended. She totally forgot that people site there for feel Spanish style far away of Spain.

Pleasant surprise was 21 Pinchos, very kind and helpful stuff explaining the options we had, quality beer from the tap, food was excellent.

It's in the right corner when you enter. If you find an empty seat, sit down immediately, if not, walk around a little until the seat becomes vacant.

I eat here regularly when I'm in town and the quality of the food is always consistently good. The pinxtos are nice but be sure to check out the menu items as well. I always enjoy the tortilla, the boquerones and the ham and cheese platter. Nice Spanish beers, cava and gin & tonics too Just be sure to go when they will still be open for 2-3 more hours, the selection of pinxtos definitely dwindles as they get closer to closing time. For the best selection go between 1pm - 5.30pm.

It is not without reason that this tapas bar has been awarded prizes. Great service, delicious tapas. Be sure to bring a warm coat in winter.

Delicious tapas and 'pinchos'! The baguettes have good and tasty fillings and the other tapas are also delicious. You sit in the market hall at the front of the doors so it can be chilly but they had blankets. The service was great! And it is easy to pay for in the market hall.

Just had a Mahou and some tapas. As if I was in Madrid again. Delicious. Prices are just a bit higher and no one speaks Spanish, but hey, this is the heart of Rotterdam.

Geen mening over het eten want het was vol helaas. Wel heerlijke tapas op de kaart zien staan dus ga zeker nog eens terug en je hebt hier een geweldig uitzicht hier over de Markthal omdat je hoog zit. Der is geen lift naar toe dus niet toegankelijk voor mindervalide mensen.

Friendly staff, light hearted atmosphere and nice food, specially the fried items, that were done to perfection. The meat balls didn't quite hit the mark... and the usual Dutch unwillingness to serve tap water (or good bread... or napkins) remain a puzzle. None of that was enough to spoil our experience here though. The place deserves a a lunch or dinner visit, no doubt. P

Lekkere pinchos, wel erg prijzig. Met z'n tweeën voor €43 euro aan pinchos gegeten en nog steeds honger. Wel vriendelijke medewerker, helaas Pepsi ipv Coca Cola. Voor een keer is het leuk om hier een keer te eten.

Een heel lekkere eettentje met hele lekkere vers gemaakte Pinchos. Hier is 't Spanje in de Markthal. Wat een geweldig concept. Wat een energie stralen de dames uit en wat word er hard gewerkt. Mooi om te zien hoe de mensen bediend worden. Ook al is 't chaotisch houden deze dames het hoofd koel. We hebben hier even gezellig gezeten en genoten van diverse Pinchos en van de Spaanse omelet... Aanrader 👌. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar

Nice place to visit. I come here once or twice a year when I am around. 10 pinchos for 25 euro. Good quality and nice lady's behind the counter. They also have a menu with some extra dishes... Ask for it!

de vibe is heel nice (zoals je dat in Spanje verwacht bij een markt...lekker aan de bar zitten en je tapa eten) ik zou aanraden om aan de bar te zitten en een wijntje doen (kun je ook al die tapas snacks bekijken). Update: weer een drankje gedaan bij 21 Pinchos! erg leuke vibe bij dit tent en het is altijd gezellig druk! Personeel is attent en heel vriendelijk. als je een drankje wilt doen dan is dit zeker één van de betere tenten bij Markthal...volgens mij kun je ook boven zitten als je wilt dineren, maar de meeste mensen zitten beneden (bar hangen en aan de tafeltjes leunen is toch leuker!)

Super schöne Ecke in der Markthalle in Rotterdam. Durch die Sonne einfach perfekt. Es gibt kleine “pinchos” sie echt lecker aussahen und ab 12 Uhr dann auch super leckere Tapas. Der Service ist auch nett. Klare Empfehlung!

Nice place to go for Spanish beer or wine, some tasty tapas in a vibrant and atmospheric location in the famous and inspiring Markthal food hall. Specifically suitable if you're not in a rush and with a small group.

We had a very good experience at 21 Pinchos, the young guy who served us was excellent. The Mushroom & Truffle croquettes were amazing and extremely tasty. There small Pinchos are also from excellent quality. The place is cozy in the Market hall of Rotterdam and if you sit upstairs you can enjoy the buzz of the hall in peace.

Top. Deze zaak, een aantal jaren heb ik in Zuid Spanje gewoond. Vandaag was ik in deze zaak en ik vergat ter plekke dat ik in Rotterdam was en ook nog dat het november is! Heerlijke echte Spaanse pincho’s. Ik raad deze zaak ten zeerste aan voor een moment van puur genieten. En vergeet ook niet de cerveza Mahou Maestra te bestellen. Prachtig bier!

Cadre sympa en hauteur avec vue sur le Markthal. Malheureusement, les tables et chaises sont salles. La nourriture n'est vraiment pas qualitative. La charcuterie est grasses, les croquettes n'ont pas de goût. La cerise sur le gâteau a été la sauce aigre-douce avec les croquettes chorizo, hors propos.
