Disgraceful. I was treated disrespectfully. Because I wanted to eat vegetarian, which was also possible according to the menu, or at least you could indicate it, I was completely ignored. The starter was with fish. All the tastings were with meat or cattle and as a main course I got a grilled Chinese cabbage without being asked. Without anything with it. Never experienced that before.

Is certainly worth all its stars, paella that tastes like the paella we know from eating in Spain itself and plenty of it! Will go there again for take-away and friendly staff who help carry it to the car!

We were received last night, the service was perfect! Not speaking much Dutch, the team adapted so that we understood all of the dishes offered. Big up to one of the chefs who came to present our dishes to us. Let's start again!

Once again every dish was a surprise. Beautiful presentations and exceptional flavor combinations. Each dish is full of variety and very tasty! The service is also super hospitable and attentive. Highly recommended for an evening of enjoyment and being pampered!

Ate in the garden. Dishes are good to very good. Accompanying wines are also well chosen, but it is a pity that with almost every dish you have to remind the waiter that you had a wine arrangement (in my opinion the wine should be served before the food). The operator clearly has passion and vision. In the beginning there was sufficient personal attention, but when the locals came this clearly diminished. You can park your car at the back of the market after 6 p.m. with a blue parking card (Saturday market)

"Think of asparagus, hop shoots, sea bass and veal! Of course served with a selection of appropriate wines. Bas and Anky selected some of these wines themselves last October in Burgundy and Beaujolais." It is in the newsletter, but Anky does not drink wine and does not like it...or she has lost her faith. Moreover, the wine arrangement includes wines from Austria and Germany, which is often disappointing compared to French wines. The wine list is also missing on the internet.

Fantastic experience! Very tasty and surprising dishes. We opted for the 6 course menu, every dish was a hit. Fresh products and an oasis of diverse flavors. A cozy setting. The owner is a casual funny man, you immediately feel welcome. We will definitely come back.

Got to know him through social deal, even though we have been living in Axel for 3 years. Too bad we only discovered it now. Delicious food and super friendly and quick service!! We will definitely come back! Very cool that they take into account if you don't like something on the menu!

You are left with the impression that the team delivers those dishes that they themselves would most enjoy: excellent food and drink that looks beautiful on the plate and tastes amazing. It doesn’t seem like the delivery of quality is by any shape or form inhibited by the need to obtain recognition or accolades from anyone other than the guests: great experience, as always.

Vandaag overheerlijk gegeten. Het is allemaal met liefde bereidt en wordt met dezelfde liefde opgediend. Heel attent personeel! Er waren verwarmde kussentjes voor buiten, en warme dekentjes aanwezig. Ook de terrasverwarmers waren aanwezig en werden goed gebruikt om het de gasten aangenaam te maken Echt een aanrader.

Due to the lockdown, meals were picked up. Game stew with cranberries, stewed pears and fried potatoes with homemade mayonnaise. SUPER tasty and affordable! Definitely highly recommended, and soon when the lockdown is over..... eating again in the cozy restaurant or primitiv.

Excellent meal with equally good service..

Picked up again today, bouillabaisse and satay, it was so good again, especially the soup, a delight, now keep an eye on the website for the lobster, it was truly divine.

Nice meal. Had the paella and the men the ribeye. All tasted very good. Friendly service. Ate here on Christmas Day. Had the full menu including the cheese board. I myself had tasted everything fish but also from the meat menu. Both tasted very good. Cozy because of the corner that has been created and that also provides a bit of peace. This means you are less bothered by the frayed edges around you. The only downside is the chairs. After a nice evening of dining, you may experience pain in your back/buttocks because of the uncomfortable chairs. Otherwise we had a wonderful evening with good food

Excellent restaurant with always a nice mix of seasonal dishes. We come here regularly. One of the few restaurants where you can still be pleasantly surprised and continue to maintain its level. Always friendly service. Which always keeps the atmosphere in the restaurant relaxed.

Very expensive for the food we got on our plates. We ordered the 6 course menu. The bread we received was not fresh, but we received another one. We had to share our food. We get 1 plate per 2 people and we received a dessert plate to put the shared food on. We didn't think it was appropriate to have to pay so much money, just under €500 for 4 people. For that money there are much better restaurants in the area, for example: the Bottels Sas van Ghent highly recommended or the old parsonage in Hyfte (Belgium).
