CHEV in Kern Sas van Gent

Unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. They weren't really welcome with their dogs. They were put in a corner on the patio. We didn't feel very comfortable because of this, so we moved on after our beer.

Simply perfect to the max. Fantastic experience!

A fun concept: small dishes to share with the whole table. Delicious filet pur and, to finish off, wonderful fresh madeleines! We'll definitely be back!

A cozy restaurant with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The service was very attentive and provided clear explanations of the menu, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It's also a great place for drinks – the gin and tonics are delicious, and the Italian coffee is highly recommended.

Funny moment this evening. We ordered the pimientos padron, which are normally not spicy. After tasting a few, we were still overwhelmed by a very spicy taste in our mouths. After a quick check-up by Virginie, it turned out that there were a few spicy, Spicy peppers among them. What turned out afterwards, there were a few Jalapeños among the Pimientos. Virginie and the chef took the tasting test themselves, the result was that there were a Jalapeño here and there among our non-spicy peppers, and also their order of peppers. We had a good laugh after our tasting test, but we immediately got the order again, with 10 perfect, non-spicy Pimientos. Thanks again for the exceptionally excellent service 👌🏼❤️ see you soon!

Absolutely right! You are indeed not a cafe and we were planning to have an aperitif first but your prices are extremely high. I regret this trend in the entire bnl catering industry by the way.. going to a restaurant is becoming an elite affair only for the self-employed and entrepreneurs because they can then partly give it up... the question remains whether this remains liveable... how is it by the way that going to a restaurant in e.g. la douce France remains affordable? Aren't the same ingredients to make a good meal?

If you want to eat well and have a large budget, this is definitely recommended. Large selection of oysters and delicious shrimp croquettes. Friendly owner who takes the time to speak to you.

We had a delicious meal, one downside was the cheesecake, it was not tasty, the rest of the starter and main course were delicious, and the service was also excellent.

Too bad for the first time we were in Sas van Gent with our group. We stopped here but that was very disappointing. Drinks way too expensive for what they were and anything but friendly, but rude and pushy. We felt absolutely unwelcome. Too bad because it was a beautiful location.

This is how every restaurant should be. The hostess is someone who is busy with her work. Received clear explanations about all dishes. Attention to detail. Both the service and the kitchen are people who practice their profession with passion. I don't get 'a culinary orgasm' every time. We will definitely come back here.

Had a nice and pleasant evening. (H)honest food every time. Quite a large, extensive menu, with something "different" than the standard dishes. Nice shared bites, fantastic frog legs, magnificent ossobuco and pasta Vongole. A "chev" that dares to spice up and tastes perfectly. Super friendly and attentive service who knows what they are serving and presents it with pride. We would love to come back here again.

We hebben vanavond voor het eerst gegeten bij CHEV. Een erg leuk en sfeervol terras aan het water. Een goed gevulde menukaart, aangevuld met een zeer aantrekkelijk aanbod aan suggesties. Ik heb 2 verschillende oesters gegeten, een heerlijk bord "sea food" (verschillende schelpdieren) en crème Catalana! De bediening is vriendelijk en zeer gastvrij. We komen hier zeker op korte termijn terug!

Super leuk restaurant. Heerlijk gegeten, de verse producten maakt het een echte beleving. De gastvrouw was super vriendelijk, toegankelijk en wist alles van de producten die ze gebruiken. Het terras is heerlijk in de zon, als de zon onder is kun je binnen ook heerlijk tafelen. Al bij al een geslaagde avond.

Het eten was heerlijk en perfect bereid, en de sfeer was warm en gastvrij. Een geweldige eetervaring die je niet wilt missen! Ondanks alle drukte vandaag werd er uitgebreid aandacht geschonken aan de gasten. Chapeau!
