Disgusting place with more disgusting food.

Food was a bit disappointing and pricey for what you get. €36.50 for 2 meals and the vegetarian deluxe special contained very few pieces of tempeh and tofu... and a lot of potato. Too bad because it used to be very tasty.

After 2 hrs waiting for delivery. I went to the shop to collect. 30-40 orders sat on a table waiting to be sent. Shop phone number doesnt work either to ask for help. Shocking service

If you are hungry you should definitely not order food here, the food often only arrives after an hour and a half if it is no longer and when you call, they do not answer or the standard message is that food is on its way, it is fine but certainly not worth it. to have to wait so long

Nasi with chicken was not tasty, foul smell in food. Couldn't pay by card, had to transfer it to account the old-fashioned way. So a lot of hassle. And very expensive, 18 euros! For nasi chicken and Maaza drink!..never again!

Ordered nasi satay, got two chicken skewers instead of three..vegetables not fresh.chicken curry sandwich so small and little chicken..you pay a lot for what..don't order here anymore..very angry for what I paid.a friend ordered for me after 2 hours they come at 5 o'clock.. then you expect to get a real nice meal because I waited so long.. very waste of money.. not worth it.. now I took a bite and nothing is fresh about it.. how do you dare to give this food which also smells stale...bahh...so much dirt in it, even yesterday's or the day before yesterday's rice...it smells so musty...damn I'm so angry...scammers

Popular deception! I paid €6 per sandwich on the website and a 10% discount because I ordered on the website, but when I picked it up myself in the store, the sandwiches turned out to cost €3.50 in the store (!). "yes we have to pay commission on the website."

I ordered through Thuisbezorgd, and my delivery took an unbelievable 3 hours and 45 minutes. The restaurant's phone number was invalid, and Thuisbezorgd didn’t respond to my inquiries. After paying €45 and still not receiving my food, I cycled from East to West Amsterdam in the rain to the restaurant. The staff were unhelpful, couldn’t contact the driver, and offered no reassurance or compensation. To make matters worse, the app falsely marked the order as delivered. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing, with poor communication and zero customer care. Avoid this place.

But luckily they were kind enough to bring the receipt to me later that day! Hats off! All in all extremely satisfied. From food to customer service. Unfortunately no photo of the entire order. It's a bit too attractive not to eat immediately 🫢 Small tip: it is better to order at the store. Instead of using an Uber or home delivery. Specially ordered curry duck, there was nothing special about it, it was full of potatoes and the duck really didn't taste good. Never again!!!!! Roti was really hard. Not to eat! Shame on the Hindustani community

Its known that it takes 2 hours for delivery but its quick if you go there or pickup. Its the best roti in amsterdam surely. The veggie roti speciaal is unparalled food for after a heavy workout!

Ordered a few weeks ago, picked it up ourselves and what did we get... 2 microwave mega containers teloh bakkeliauw 🤮, tough dough ball bara from the microwave, satay was ok, only the satay sauce had a certain taste that was not right. Never again, no response after we called and emailed via home delivery. Never again...

Ordered roti twice now two hours ago. When ordering, the expected time was 40 minutes. The app has been waiting for delivery for an hour without an additional time. Also called three times in the past 45 minutes and was always told that the delivery person was on his way. This is the second time that it has taken longer than an hour and a half without a good time indication.

⚠️New Owner/New Cook‼️ Not the first time going wrong, But certainly the last time. 1.👎 Telo, the Casava was raw from the inside, even after calling them and getting it exchanged for another one and Bakkeljauw topping keeps getting less. 2. 👎 Loempia stuffing is minimal 3. 👎 Sauto soup, They forget to add the main ingredients for your meal! ~Enjoy!

Been waiting for 1 roti roll for 2 hours. When you call you get a very simple answer that it is on its way. And then also €16,- for asking. Ridiculous! Update: food finally arrived and it's cold. The place is literally 5 minutes away. Might as well have gone there myself.

Never again! Normally the roti tastes good. Ordered a vegetarian roti mix today. There was just meat in it. When I called I was called a liar.

Enjoyed it wonderfully! Not too greasy and nice and fresh It is sometimes busier and sometimes takes a little longer for it to be delivered to your home but that is logical if you run one of the best roti places that everyone orders or comes to eat here. I'm glad they still deliver food at all with this crowd!

Don’t bother ordering from them online, you’ll likely wait forever and they’re super dishonest. The food ran so late that we called them 4 separate times to ask how it was going - every time, they said that the delivery man had “just left” and it would be there within 10 minutes (we spoke to different people on the phone, so it seems like it’s a restaurant policy to lie). After 2.5 hours of waiting, we gave up and called them asking to cancel the order. They said they would cancel it and refund us. 15 minutes later, the food arrived at the house, and no refund was ever received (this was one month ago). Really dishonest way of working, at least be honest that it’s running late. And if you say you’ll offer a refund, do it lol

Overall: Was worried given previous reviews about wait times but our experience was great, highly recommend for those looking to get takeout (seating is scarce). Veg ultimate special is great - ordered pickup for 21:30 and showed up 15 minutes before scheduled and got our food. We recommend ordering ahead of time and bringing cash.

My friend and I ordered almost an hour and a half of food here via home delivery, they received the order on which we thought we would get our food. Now we spend our last money on a nice meal and after an hour and a half we are called that they are not going to deliver our meal and can't find any way with us to get our money back. From now on please look with your eyes when you receive an order I receive. I won't be placing a single order here anymore.

Tried them a few times before reviewing their food. Each time is perfect. Excellent food. Vegetarian Roti special is flawless. Tempeh is perfection! The only Roti that compares to Rams Roti!

Aarti 2 bestellen wij wekelijks. Meestal nemen we de roti vega mix, dat krijg je nergens zo lekker als vega. Als je direct via hun eigen website bestelt is het vaak sneller en beter

Awesome food. I love Guyanese food and this is so close to it and absolutely delicious curry and roti. Now I know I love Surinamese food also. I only made it a block before sitting at a bus bench and eating it all. I'll be back!

I’m surprised by the low rating here, loved the food two times, really nice staff who arranged the big order on their website. Easy to make extra requests in your order. As an Indian, found the food very wholesome and comforting.

Een van de heerlijkste bezorgopties in Amsterdam. Ik neem meestal roti kip als ik Surinaams eet, maar voor Aarti maak ik een uitzondering want de roti vega mix is zo ontzettend lekker!

Oké oké je moet misschien wat langer wachten.. wij zaten ook zo rond de 1,5 uur te wachten smiddags (geen etenstijd)… maar dan heb je ook wel wat. Dit was de beste roti die wij tot nu toe hebben gegeten maar ook de Bara Kip Kerrie was top. De baka bana heb ik ergens anders wel eens lekkerder gehad, maar die wil ik met liefde opgeven voor zulke goeie roti.

Wij hebben roti lams besteld met kool en wat kousenband, een gevulde bara met hete kip en een normale bara. Het eten had weinig smaak en de bara die ik onderweg naar huis heb gegeten was te vettig. Gemiddeld zit je al op 15 euro voor een roti maaltijd maar als er dan weinig smaak aan zit ( het smaakte flauw) dan is het echt wel een teleurstelling en prijzig voor wat je dan uiteindelijk krijgt. Het personeel is wel heel vriendelijk.

Dik 2 uur gewacht op ons eten. Uiteindelijk werd het lauw/koud bezorgd door een mannetje met een thuisbezorgd jas die doodleuk vertelde dat de order pas 20 min daarvoor binnen was gekomen. Deze man was van Aarti en niet van thuisbezorgd. Ik had 20 min daarvoor gebeld met de vraag waarom ik €4,50 bezorgkosten moest betalen terwijl op de site staat dat bezorgen boven €15 gratis is binnen Amsterdam. Er werd mij bijdehand verteld dat noord geen Amsterdam is… ik vond dit best onbeschoft en uitdagend ipv klantvriendelijk. Uiteindelijk hebben we de telo bakkeljauw weggegooid omdat het vol graten zat en de cassave heel erg droog en slap. De roti was matig. Hele kleine stukjes kip en teveel zout. Aardappelen waren pulp. Vroeger was Aarti perfect, nu niet meer. Ik bestel hier nooit meer.

the meat and potatoes and veggies in one container so everything is mushy and tastes the same. i had ordered the mix of lamb & doksi/duck but when i went to pick up they had no duck and just put only lamb. also the forgot to put in the saté saus for my bakabana. the taste was a bit bellow average.

Ik plaats normaal gesproken nooit recensies en zag dat er negatieve reviews staan voor Aarti 2 En ik heb werkelijk alleen maar goede ervaringen .. en als je in het weekend in Amsterdam wat langer op een bestelling moet wachten dan is dat volgens mij slechts de realiteit. Ik bestel altijd de vegetarische roti en met name vega de lux is echt verschrikkelijk goed !! Echt de beste roti die ik kan vinden.. en hij is rijk gevuld. Tegenwoordig komt de bezorging zelfs sneller dan thuisbezorgd app aangeeft Maar dat is dan ook mijn ervaring.

Hele goede rotirol, de gevulde bara was heel goed van smaak, maar erg rommelig verpakt, de baka bana was wel okee, maar een beetje zompig. Eten was warm en op tijd!

Heerlijke malse kip en grote hoeveelheden. Goede smaak wat je verwacht bij roti. Bezorging was ook nog eens heel snel!

Super goede roti. Een overweldigende volle en rijke smaak, zoals het hoort. Ook de zelfgemaakte gele sambal is erg lekker. Het is gemakkelijk om te bestellen op hun eigen website en de bereiding was heel snel. Ook vriendelijk personeel. In alle opzichten perfect. Een aanrader voor iedereen die op zoek is naar de authentieke smaak van Suriname.

Net een tjauw min met kip gehaald voor vanavond. Vaker hier eten gehaald, maar is alweer een tijdje geleden. Het eten is altijd erg lekker en vers hier. Ik werd zeer vriendelijk geholpen door een man. Erg gezellig en aardig. Echte interesse toonde hij.

I ordered and then was scared by the reviews I read here afterwards, expecting terrible service and already half-accepting that I might not get my food. Therefore I feel called to dispel this - in my case - myth! Food was wonderful, delivered in good condition within about 45 minutes by a friendly person. Especially happy with the choice of vegetables, the pumpkin/eggplant combo was great. Maybe I was lucky, maybe they've improved recently... But had to let you know it's not all bad. The only minus point is that I ordered through their website (not thuisbezorgd) and didn't see an indication of delivery time, which meant also that I had no strict expectations ;)
