A delicious place. The pizza and focaccia are fantastic! As the owner said, the secret to the flavor is the people who work here, and I agree 100%.

Very good atmosphere and welcoming staffs. Outdoor seatings for summer which was full so we arrived at 7.30 pm without reservation but could still manage to get a table inside. Salina pizza (tomato based anchovies) was plate licking good. We also loved the fresh pasta. Nothing to complain. Tiramisu comes in good size, perfect to be shared by two. If you have chance to pass by Abcoude, this is the place to go.

In a word: TERRIBLE! We arrived and were immediately greeted very unfriendly by an Italian man. Initially, we accidentally sat down at a four-person table because we hadn't seen the two-person table. Instead of pointing this out politely, he pointed us to the other table with an angry look. That felt anything but hospitable. When ordering, I asked if it was possible to add chicken to my pesto pasta. My question was completely ignored; it wasn't even explained politely that this might not be possible. When we received the pasta, the portion turned out to be a bit small. The taste was very monotonous, and the pasta was also lukewarm to almost cold. There was very little cheese on it, and because the dish wasn't warm, the cheese didn't melt either. It was striking that other tables immediately received salt, pepper, and other table necessities, while we received nothing. During the meal, I politely asked the waitress for a spoon. I was given a very arrogant look; she rolled her eyes, gave me the spoon, and only responded curtly with "yes." That came across as very unprofessional. I also found the route to the toilet unpleasant. You have to walk past the dishwashing area, where the floor was completely wet. As a result, the bottom of my trousers got wet, which I found very annoying. Additionally, the chairs on the terrace were very hard and uncomfortable. The only positive aspect of our visit was the girl who helped us pay. She was friendly and sincerely wished us a nice day. Unfortunately, that was the only hospitable moment during our visit.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant! I live in Amsterdam West but love making the ‘trip’ to eat here. The owner is very friendly and recognizes all returning guests, even if a year has passed between visits. The pasta is made fresh daily, the menu is very diverse, and the atmosphere is lovely!

An incredibly cozy atmosphere in the middle of Abcoude. The service was friendly and attentive. Typical Italian feel. The pesto pasta was delicious and the price was quite reasonable.

We ate delicious, authentic Italian pizza. We made a food stop on the way to Ziggo. It was full and we hadn't made a reservation. But they still arranged for us to grab a quick pizza. The staff were very friendly, and despite the crowds, they made time to chat with us. On our next visit to Amsterdam, we will definitely book our food stop here.

Went out for dinner here with a small group, 4 adults and 3 children. Around 6:30 PM. The starter was tasty. (Anti-pasta) spiced bread? I chose spaghetti pesto for the main course. It was full of flavor but rather bare in my opinion. I had expected more cheese, finely chopped vegetables, and perhaps some minced meat or chicken mixed in. But this is likely a matter of personal preference. For dessert, coffee with ice cream and whipped cream. Which was delicious! In terms of style, the restaurant is somewhat minimalist and decorated in a traditional Italian style. As a result, the level of comfort might be a bit lower than in many other restaurants. Later in the evening it was full; with the changing of guests, it felt very crowded, which wasn't very convenient with all the coats on the rack and trying to get to the door. (Narrow passageway)

I've had delicious meals in the restaurant several times and ordered pizzas online tonight. The delivery wait in the order confirmation was suddenly an hour longer (after 8:15 PM instead of 7:15-7:30 PM), so I gave them a call. Owner Walter indicated that due to the busy period, it would be very difficult to deliver earlier than 7:45 PM. At around 7:00 PM, the doorbell rang; it was the delivery person. Super Walter, thanks for the great service, and the pizzas were delicious!

Great restaurant, friendly service, delicious food! The host is from Italy himself, and so are the chefs, so it's truly authentic Italian food! I heard there's a terrace in the summer too, so we will definitely be back!

Dear Walter, I had a delicious meal. It was a pappardelle with braised wild boar ragout. It was truly excellent, and the service was very friendly. Acqua Farina is a restaurant with a lovely atmosphere.

A fantastic restaurant, the most delicious pasta with wild ragout I've ever had. A wonderful atmosphere, and Walter was a great host. We were with a large group, but we didn't want for anything. Beautiful and atmospheric restaurant. Friendly Italian service. But the pizzas are of mediocre quality. The mozzarella wasn't tasty, and it was a dry and very expensive truffle pizza with a huge pile of arugula to mask the lack of flavor, which only made the pizza drier. The low point was the salami pizza. I ordered extra gorgonzola with it. I've been doing that for years. I love that combination. When I ate the pizza, I didn't really taste any gorgonzola, and there wasn't any gorgonzola anywhere on the pizza. I said, "I think you forgot the gorgonzola." The owner casually replied, "No, it's under the salami; it's a mild gorgonzola." Instead of accommodating the customer, he simply added an extra three euros for the non-existent gorgonzola. Bizarre. I didn't feel like making a fuss again and paid the bill. But the consequence of this kind of bizarre customer unfriendliness combined with very poor quality is a bad review. Do something about it!

Friendly host, who spoke English. The pizza was okay, with lots of toppings, but the crust was also very soft. The price is on the high side.

Take away pizza far from what it should be or supposed to be. Dough not fully fermented and not fully cooked. Far to little ingredients for a whopping € 22.50. Frozen supermarket pizza @ less then € 4,00 far better.

For the first time in a long time, I ordered pizza to eat at home. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. Where the dough used to be delicious and the filling very flavorful, the crust was now tough and tasteless. And the filling (parmigiana) didn't really add much. It's a shame it's changed so much. This way, I won't be returning.

Lovely place and friendly service. The six of us sat at the round table at the front of the restaurant and were bothered by the cold (the door kept opening and closing) but were then allowed to sit at the large table in the kitchen. It was very cozy and perfectly organized. We shared several appetizers (antipasti platter, focaccia, and salad), then chose different pastas: wild papardelle, amori Toscana (which was a bit too salty for our taste), and pizzas: diavolo, parmigiana, salami, buffalo, and crudo. We also enjoyed a few carafes of Barbera (the house wine). The desserts (tiramisu, white chocolate mousse, and sgroppino) were delicious. The only disappointment was the mini shots of limoncello and ginger liqueur, which later cost €6 and €7 each, respectively, on the bill. We didn't think it was worth the money, but we'd love to come back.

Ciao, everyone knows that when you say Italy. But if you want a little more of an Italian experience combined with fantastic Italian cuisine, then go to Acqua Farina. You'll receive a warm welcome in Italian (don't worry, the host also speaks Dutch). The atmosphere is great, the decor is simple but charming. They're primarily focused on the quality of the food, which was superb! Affordable, especially delicious, and with excellent choices. It's also nice that you can simply order a carafe of table water. In short, if you're near Abcoude, go there and enjoy...or just drive there...it's worth it!

A lovely and atmospheric restaurant near the church in Abcoude. We arrived quite early, so there was plenty of room. The menu mainly features pizza and pasta. We opted for pizza, but it was quite disappointing. No crispy crust, just soft dough. The ingredients weren't bad, but without a decent base, it's nothing. Besides, for €22.50, you expect more. Given the ratings, perhaps we were unlucky with the first pancake?

3 maal pene toscana besteld, kreeg drie vrij kleine bakjes mee, de ‘zelfgemaakte pasta’ smaakte als van de supermarkt, (leek er ook op) nauwelijks worst te vinden in de saus, en nauwelijks smaak aan het gerecht als geheel. Zelden zo een slechte prijs kwaliteit gekregen (69 euro). Wat een teleurstelling.

The owner really cares about the business and his customers, the food was delicious and he even got a glass of house wine to taste. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by!

Cozy and nice atmosphere, a place to spend time with friends or family. Walter is a great host and also himstaff. The food is awesome and they always have new things on their menu. I highly recommend this place, authentic Italian.

Bediening was snel en pizza’s waren goed qua prijs-kwaliteit maar dat vond ik niet van de pasta van de dag. Dit was penne met pompoen en gorgonzola. Zo werd het verteld. Klonk top, maar de penne was letterlijk penne waar saus aan geplakt zat. Het was goed gekookt en niet te gaar maar dat zou ik niet nog een keer nemen. Ik had daar iets meer van verwacht, ook gezien de prijs (22,50) daar ben ik eerlijk in. Een paar blokjes pompoen of stukjes gorgonzola er boven op leggen. Dat zou mijn tip zijn. Prima wijn de Fiano di Puglia. 7 euro per (klein) glas. Tiramisu luchtig en niet te zwaar. Zou ik weer gaan? Nee. Niet voor een avondje gezellig uit eten. Daarvoor was het te lawaaiig en toch wat kil ondanks de hoeveelheid mensen die er waren. Ook apart (maar misschien ben ik ouderwets) een personeelslid dat terugkwam van buiten nam een weed lucht met zich mee. Lijkt mij niet kunnen. Tafeltje naast ons leek ook vreemd op. Sorry Acqua Farina.

Super tasty pizza! It's been a long time since I enjoyed pizza this much. Atmosphere was cozy and staff friendly.

The pastas were better than the pizzas. That said, the pizzas looked good too. My pesto was very very well done and I enjoyed it. For a slow fermentation dough as they advertise, I’d expect a bigger cornicione and many more leopard marks, typical of true Neapolitan pizzas. I have to say service was slow and took some 45 minutes to have our food. We didn’t have any desserts, so I don’t know how good they are, but they certainly looked good too.

Well yes, I too am part of the mistreated category of Italians who are nostalgic for Italian cuisine after only a week of staying outside their Italian homeland. For this reason I found myself wandering hungry with my boyfriend in tow, after a very long journey by car... But what can I say, I'm lucky, because I entered this well-kept place, wonderfully managed by an attentive, kind and uniquely friendly guy. ; we also ate very well: a plate of truffle ravioli, some very fresh cold cuts, artisanal focaccia, a glass of honest Piedmontese wine, and a light bill. We left happy. There were even places like this in Italy... :-) highly recommended!

Ate twice, first time only pizzas which were very tasty. Ordered the daily menu Gnocchi with pumpkin yesterday, delicious. Nice too, we shared antipaste, pasta and then pizza together, one after the other and beautifully served on two plates. Staff are very friendly. Due to circumstances we were unable to go to Italy this summer, but this restaurant partly makes up for that. Food is very good, wine by the bottle could be a bit more affordable. Recommended, will go back more often!

Easily reachable from both Amsterdam and Utrecht, we ended up here almost by chance, driven by the lack of home food We had a great time, attentive and never intrusive service and genuinely Italian food... the truffle ravioli were sublime! I was also able to try my companion's pizza and it was also delicious Prices totally in line with the offer (remember: even if during dinner you may feel like you are in Italy, you are still abroad) Moral: highly recommended!

The food was good, but when we arrived, almost the entire restaurant was booked. There was really little space between the tables (like in a fast food restaurant) and everyone was shouting over each other. No one told us that the food is not ordered from the waiter, who does not come to the tables, but is ordered via the QR code that is on the table. The food was delivered to us within 40 minutes of ordering and it was very expensive.

Super place, where we once ended up through an acquaintance. We are from Brabant ourselves, but when we are in the area we always try to eat there. Fresh products, very nice team that works there. Here you can see that a smile requires little extra effort.

Food was not to my taste. Vega anti pasta was nothing to look at (not even in terms of taste). The focaccia was tasty. The pizzas were topped too thickly and were therefore wet and soggy. The crust burned. Unfortunately, we were so hopeful. Staff was friendly but had to ask for the same beer 3 times before it worked. People seem to want to go for an industrial look, but the finish is sloppy. Light cords in places where they don't belong. There are too many tables in too small a space. Something could also be done about the acoustics. Due to the many guests and empty walls, the sound is too loud, so you can hear down to the last detail what is being discussed five tables behind you. In summary, not the best but not the worst experience either. But disappointed...

I've lived in Italy for many years and in the Netherlands for 14. What Walter and his team is executing makes me feel right back in Italy. Wines are excellent (even offering natural wines from Italy which were spectacular). Pizza made from an 8 year old madre lievito and pasta made by hand. What a gem. Grazie di cuore Walter.

Yesterday we ate at Acqua Farina with a friend. It felt like we had spent an evening in Italy. The pasta was perfect. Ravioli with truffle and penne gorgonzola with walnuts. We will definitely be back very soon!

Dramatically bad food. Pasta well cooked, not al dente. This was also confirmed by the kitchen. I had the option to choose another dish for half the price. They simply forgot the starter due to an error in the kitchen. Wine was mediocre and wrongly advised. Service was okay, but in my opinion did not respond well to the situation.
