Restaurant De Witte Dame in Abcoude

De bediening was heel vriendelijk,maar had wel een vlek op zijn blouse. Het eten was smakelijk. Prijzig voor het gebodene. Er waren slechts twee tafels bezet.Dat kwam de sfeer niet ten goede. Terwijl wij aten, was de bediening bezig met vuilniszakken de boel op te ruimen. Niet passend. Ook liep er iemand met korte broek en blote voeten heen en weer. Fout voor de uitstraling. De toiletten zijn in het souterrain. Een lange steile houten trap naar beneden zonder leuning.

Lunch with friends and to start positively it is a beautiful location and the service is also friendly. But (not unimportant) the food and in particular the size of the portions is really substandard. A lonely steak of 4 cm x 8 cm on the plate (€ 29.50!) is simply not possible. The dessert (Dame Blanche) exactly the same story. Disappointing experience.

Fantastische kamers in t prachtige Abcoude met fijn uitzicht. Heerlijk bed, fijn bad en heel mooi gestyled. Echt een aanrader als je wat te vieren hebt. We hebben er ook geweldig gegeten. Hier word op hoog niveau gekookt. Heel fijne wijnkaart ook. Attente bediening. Echt helemaal top.

Culinaire top ervaring in eigen dorp in prachtige locatie. Winter menu met bijpassend wijn arrangement was super! Aanrader!

Not cheap, but more than worth the money!

Had a wonderful Wine & Dine evening yesterday! The food was fantastic, good staff and very nice atmosphere.

Beautiful restaurant and delicious food, some flavor combinations a bit strange but in itself something different. What I really thought was a shame was the misplaced upselling. We asked the waitress if there were vegetables or potatoes with the main courses. She adamantly said no even though we asked again because the dishes are quite expensive. So on her advice I ordered both fries and vegetables because there really wasn't anything included. Well, that's not correct. Both the fries and the vegetables could go in the trash because there were just vegetables and potatoes with the main courses. So yes, 160 euros for 2 starters, 2 main courses and then throwing away 14 euros worth of side dishes is a real shame and not necessary. Very unfortunate.

It looks beautiful and the interior is also tastefully decorated. (those lamps!) The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted good, but the price! A plate of melazane for 24.50 euros (photo) was not enough for me. My table companions had ordered (more than enough) fries, so I could eat some of them.

Prachtige locatie en inrichting, maar de chardonnay voor 9 euro per glas en de rosé ook: er zat weinig smaak aan. Wijn had ook bijna geen kleur, alsof met water aangelengd. Prijs kwaliteit beneden de maat. Kaasstengels voor een euro per stuk. Vind het echt jammer, want, nogmaals, hele mooie rustige plek om te zitten. Ook buiten op terras.

Top peacefull location, few minutes walk to rail station, to nice small town Abcoude, a good starting point for other destinations in the Netherlands. Very nice stylish hotel with great nature views.

Wat een prettige plek is het hier! De leuke ontvangst, mooie tafellinnen, mooie bestek, alles klopt! Het personeel is zeer kundig en uiterst vriendelijk. De kwaliteit is uitmuntend, beter dan in sommige restaurants. Het is wat warmte betreft zeer aangenaam, zo vaak tegenwoordig dat de zaken bezuinigen op de verwarming,,, Ik had een opmerking over de kunstbloemen en dat is goed opgepakt door de eigenaar, heel plezierig! Zeker de moeite waard om van Amsterdam te komen>>> Zoals de Michelin gids zegt: LA TABLE MERITE LE DETOUR... Tot binnenkort.

In een voor mij vervelende situatie werd er goed meegedacht en gehandeld. Wat een verademing. Enorm bedankt hiervoor!

Beautiful restaurant in a rural setting with delicious Italian dishes. The melanzane and tortelloni are definitely recommended!

Mijn verjaardagsdineetje eindigde voor zowel mijn partner als voor mij op de wc na het eten van tonijnsteak (waarschijnlijk bedorven). De volgende dag heb ik hierover contact opgenomen met De Witte Dame, zij zouden het uitzoeken en mij hierover terugbellen. Helaas is dat niet gebeurd. Kwalijk en niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Service far below par, serving wrong dishes, not listening to orders and serving old wine.

"Only when something goes wrong can someone prove how good they are." Due to an error in the kitchen, the food took a little longer than you would expect. This has been resolved wonderfully. Besides that, the service was also very nice and friendly. The food was tasty; We had a great evening. We will definitely come back here.

We once sold our old dining table from home to the Witte Dame. We thought it would be fun to eat there again with my brother. The manager was very friendly and helpful in finding the right table. That made the visit unforgettable for us. Top! Ambiance is nice. Food tasty.

Beautiful location, mediocre food and okay service. We ate here on a warm summer evening on the terrace. What a beautiful place! The terrace is large, comfortably furnished and you can choose to sit in the sun or the shade. You can also reserve a spot on your terrace online. Ideal! Once we were seated, we discovered that our table was crooked and therefore wobbled in such a way that a glass would not stay upright. We raised this with the waiter (asked if they could do something about the table or if we could perhaps choose another table) who gave us a stack of about 10 beer coasters to solve the "problem" ourselves. Not disturbing in itself, but not very customer friendly either. Me (heavily pregnant) and my partner were busy stabilizing the table. Furthermore, no attention was paid to the serving of the food and drinks. We ordered our drinks and dishes at the same time, and received the drinks (a draft beer and bitter lemon) 5-10 minutes after the dishes were on the table. The service is friendly, but could be better! Especially for such a place and the prices you pay. We found the food to be substandard. We had the sirloin steak and gnocchi here, and a White Lady for dessert. The prices are absolutely out of proportion to the quality of the food. The flavors are bland and the portions very small. The latter does not bother us if you are served a taste sensation on your plate or if a lot of effort has been put into the dish, such as in a restaurant in a higher segment, but that was not the case here. The ice cream also tasted like vanilla ice cream that you buy in the supermarket. The cocktails/mocktails we ordered were delicious! We will definitely come back here again in the summer to have a cup of coffee or a drink on the terrace, but will skip the food from now on!

Expected more from this beautiful location. There's little love in it.

Ate here for the 3rd time in a month. Especially because the location is so beautiful, lots of space for the children to play and large parasols. You're in a great place here. But ohh, so much goes wrong here. And that for such high prices. This is really not possible, you will lose customers because of this. The staff is either young & untrained or 'seasoned' and uninterested. The kitchen is so changeable. The tagliata was a thin slice of cooled, well done steak. Returned. Then I get a slightly thicker piece, very salty, without tomatoes, 3 leaves of arugula and floating in the balsamic vinegar. Completely different board. Is there no one who pays attention to what is being served? Sometimes the tagliatelle is a full plate and other times it is a mini portion. If you are unlucky, it is under a heater or oven and everything on top has dried out. And management loses control as soon as it is half full. We arrived at 7.30pm and more than an hour later 3 dishes arrived. After those were gone, the remaining 2 followed. 'Something had gone wrong'. And then you can pay 190 euros for a family with 3 young children, and that is after 20 euros had been taken away for the side dishes. Actually just had a bad feeling about it.

Grandpa and grandma married for 67 years, nice you would think. Arrive at 6:00 PM, at 6:25 PM they thought what do they want to drink, at 6:45 PM we can order food, at 7:15 PM there is a power outage but nothing is communicated such as the food does not arrive, deeply and deeply sad.

Lunch with 4 people after the renovation. It's a pity that nothing was done during the renovation of the restaurant to dampen the sound of people talking or any other noise...And don't forget the coffee maker. This made a lot of noise, making conversation almost impossible for us. I thought my lunch was a bit meager...Poached egg with salmon on a roll...A small salad as a side dish was not on the menu and could not be arranged at that time upon request...Friendly service, which also made some mistakes. .Forgotten ice cubes, no black tea and why was I the only one who didn't get a cookie with my coffee...? In short, we were used to better things at De Witte Dame before the renovation and recommend that future guests eat on the terrace if possible because of the acoustics. We wish De Witte Dame new insights that can lead to improvement in the quality of the restaurant. ….Good luck…!

A beer is ridiculously expensive, almost €4. Ordering and serving was very slow (6/23).

Located in the old station of Abcoude, this is a very nice place to eat. Also walk to the back of the fort and imagine yourself somewhere else. Friendly service too.

Disappointed that the evening in the pop-up restaurant a little further away had been canceled, we arrived from Drenthe, standing alone in the parking lot of De Witte Dame. Walking around the building it turned out to be open, and a host with a cheerful, warm smile indicated that because of the maximum of 30 guests we could eat until half past eight. What a nice welcome, what a beautiful place! Impressive to hear that the owner decorated it. We had such a delicious meal that pop-up Sterk Water could not have improved it. Plaice with endive and langoustine gravy, my husband mussels, but really different than usual. Fantastic cheeses and a nice original Dame Blanche for my husband. Top wine, wonderful service; worth the drive from Drenthe! See you soon ;-)

Nice place and good combination of restaurant, hotel and meeting room. Nice atmosphere and super lunch. Beautifully prepared and delicious!

A cozy terrace, wonderfully quiet, competent staff. We ate flamkuchen carpaccio, it was very good and soft, perfect. We will definitely go back, it's about a 45-minute drive from us, but we don't mind that.

Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff. The food was delicious, perfect combinations of flavor with fresh ingredients. The portions of the food were really big. We had the rib eye carpaccio, fish with cauliflower and delicious desserts. The only thing is to make sure you come with good company, because the service is pretty slow. From sitting down to leaving it took more than 3 hours for 3 courses. Thankfully the food was worth the wait.

Enjoyed a family lunch at De Witte Dame in the summer. Pleasant service and delicious “planks” with all kinds of goodies.

Former station completely renovated. Cozy and attractive location now as a restaurant. In our case there was an arrangement for bites and kicks. In that case, the menu is limited, especially with regard to gluten-free. Friendly staff

Quite extremely priced, for 4 cups of coffee with apple pie €31. 00 paid. Furthermore, a beautiful location in the old Abcoude station building.

Nice location, nice interior, but price/quality not in balance. I didn't think the new concept of shared dining was successful. We were 5 people and when we ordered 3 different dishes, the waitress said 'I think that is sufficient' when we asked about the quantity of the dishes. What a mistake: the chicken dish was a bowl with two chicken thighs on some vegetables. The shrimp dish was a bowl with 4 prawns also on some vegetables. The vegetable dish was delicious (as were the other dishes) but this was also a single dish at most. In addition to the ordered fries, we received a scant 6 small slices of baguette. When we indicated during the second round that we would like 5 shrimps, we were coldly told that this was not possible 'because of the concept'. The baguette was also missing. Once again the food was tasty, but at the price of 18 (vegetables) and 20 euros (shrimp and chicken) per dish, far too expensive for what was offered.

Very nice ambience with excellent sound system from Genelec. Wonderful food and fine wine served by professional staff with a lot of love and dedication.
