Friendly, experienced and efficient staff. They sell baked goods and as well as other döners. The baked goods I’ve had has been fresh and very delicious and a döner in another occasion that was equally tasteful!

New owners are not great. I used to love this place due to the cheap low priced food and the quality/quantity of the meal. However in the last few years prices increased more drastically then inflation did. The new owners have once more increased pricing for whatever reason and at the same time reduced the quantity as well (E.A. cheese on the kapsalon is now a small amount of grated cheese instead of slices). When I asked about the increases in pricing as of late I got rough mouthed by the lady at the register. (Bad service) I used to be a loyal customer but unfortunately for them they have lost me and my group of friends due to bad service and the quality/quantity/pricing correlation. At this moment the Ak-al near central station has better pricing, service and quality of the food while being in a high impact area where they actually can ask for higher prices due to the location if they would wish to. Summery: used to be a good place but new owners are increasing pricing, decreasing quantity and therefore removing quality.

It is the best doner, Turkish pizza or general Turkish food in Leiden. The taste, quantity and quality all are great. At the same time they are very reasonably priced abd great in taste. Highly recommended.

I will never go anywhere else again

Honestly, the döner here is one of the best things I’ve eaten in the Netherlands. I started exploring the city early and not much was open apart from this little bakery which also has some grocery staples. The bread was so crispy and fluffy, the salad was fresh and the combination with meat, chilli and garlic sauce was amazing. Thank you!

Nasty food is not normal. Turkish pizza was old, looked like a dried up newspaper. Minced meat sandwiches contained 1 gram of minced meat, tasted like old dough. The place is suffocating and unsanitary and the employees are totally nice. Finally, they charge the top price. Never again!

I have deep respect for some things, why would you say? This baker still makes everything by hand and with care. You can see that in their products and the taste, you know what they say about taste cannot be disputed. But seriously, if you are looking for a taste explosion, then this is the place for you. And all for a better price than others. However, you want to be cheated and you have no taste buds. Then I know a place for you on the Korrevaarstraat.
