Great restaurant with very friendly staff and owners. Delicious food and generous portions. We really enjoyed it.

This Breda restaurant is the pinnacle for true Italian cuisine lovers. The menu is excellent and clearly carefully crafted. The drink selection is also excellent. Hospitality and expertise are paramount here. Reasonable pricing. A visit to this acclaimed venue is therefore highly recommended.

Some things you just have to experience! Al Dente is one of those things. It is one of the best restaurants in Town. Don't think you just can walk in and WILL have a table, be smart and make a reservation. Changes are that they otherwise WILL be full booked. The food is as if you ARE IN ITALY. The owners are the most Loving People that do there Up most best!🩵 We'd ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE LOBSTER & will be definitely be BACK! 12/10💜 Thankyou

I don't understand the high-scoring reviews. The food wasn't worth repeating; it was truly disappointing. Portions were far too large (uniform and unappetizing). The main course was a bowl of pasta with a pile of overly spicy tomato paste and unappetizingly large chunks of eggplant. Dessert was a nice try, but also far too much and clearly not a professionally made dessert. You can make better at home if you're not a chef. Definitely don't expect fine dining. They shouldn't call themselves Italian. We also had to keep asking for everything: the menu, drinks, etc. And oh yeah, the owner was being loud with someone she apparently found very interesting, which was cringeworthy.

What a fantastic place this is! The hostess was so sweet and made sure we had a wonderful evening. The tiramisu and apple pie were the highlights for us!

Al Dente is a beautiful gem in a sea of ​​possible ristorante in Breda. The atmosphere is cozy, snug and like you feel at home, the service is friendly and attentive, really listens to you, the food is excellent and the price reasonable. It is highly recommended and reservations are recommended.

Nice restaurant, disadvantage for people with walking problems: the toilet is upstairs, you have to go up and down the very steep stairs. Our pinsa was very well done and tartare had no taste and was dominated by truffle, the rest was very tasty. Hostess was very sweet and attentive. I still want to give it a chance and go back for dinner, maybe it will be better then.

Friendly rude The hostesses seemed friendly, but did not listen to us as guests. They went against us and made rude comments. The food was fine, but in our opinion the value for money is not right, especially with the starters. To the restaurant (because you were not open to feedback on the evening itself): The service was basically friendly, but something went wrong in communication. Our order was only taken 35 minutes after arrival, while the table next to us - which arrived later - was served quickly, while we were also clearly ready. When, after 55 minutes of being inside, we asked if our starter was coming soon, we were told that we had 'only ordered 20 minutes ago'. That's right, but in total we had been waiting a long time. Then the hostess felt the need to explain again that we had only ordered 20 minutes earlier. Her comment that it is “a full evening program” and that you “don't just walk in and out” struck us as if we did not know how a restaurant works. The wait itself was not the biggest problem, but the feeling of not being heard. That feeling was confirmed when it was said at the main course that we had been given 'priority'. Nice intention, but we weren't in a hurry, so that wasn't the point. The feeling the hostess gave us with her comments is difficult to describe, but it was just not right. Dear staff, I read this kind of behavior in several reviews, perhaps time for self-reflection.

I ate a really delicious vegetarian parsnip pasta. Beautiful, tastefully decorated place. My colleague eats here often and told me that the dishes on the menu change regularly. Enjoyed!

We weren't lucky. The table next to us was someone the waiter knew. All our attention was focused on her. She spoke very loudly. We could barely hear each other. And we had to constantly ask for service. Even if we ordered earlier than the table next to us, we still got it later. We had a reservation for 1:00 PM. Someone was delayed in traffic. At 1:15 PM, we were told the kitchen closed at 1:30/45 PM, so we had to order and leave. The linguine turned out to be spaghetti, drowned in sauce. Bad experience. Never again!

Wow! What a difference from a few years ago. This is absolutely no longer the Esther & daughter we know from the past. The atmosphere and service that they were always known for have completely disappeared. Now it may be the case that someone is not having his or her day, so I gave it another chance before writing this review. If arrogance/customer unfriendliness were given a rating, it would be rated excellent. Shame on you for this behavior! I really don't wish you anything, absolutely nothing more. I also personally spoke to you about this, but that didn't help, in fact you only made it worse. Therefore, this review will not come as a surprise. Greetings from a loyal ex-customer.

Very nice refined cozy and friendly Italian restaurant. Had a nice lunch with a small group and served wonderfully. The chosen dishes from the menu tasted delicious. Recommended to visit.

If I there would be an option for 6+ stars, I would give it. The food is absolutely FABULOUS and the servixlce is as good and of high quality! I just had a 7plp lunch there and everyone, no exception, was positively impressed by the quality of the food and kindness of the service. It's a MUST GO in Breda!

I had been looking forward to eating there for years... I think my expectations were too high. Missed interaction with service. Dishes came in quick succession. Food was good, nothing spectacular. Wines are excellent and well priced. All things considered, I wasn't impressed. We will have lunch again and see if we can change our opinion.

What a wonderful evening. A top Italian in the heart of Breda. A friendly team, extremely alert and customer-oriented. You feel completely pampered here. We started with a prosecco. Olives and mortadello, also a nice start. Delicious fatty, thick Irish oysters, crab and tuna as antipasti, a rich fish soup, a top ribeye. All this accompanied by beautiful wines. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely do it again

Cozy chic atmosphere, polite service, a bit hurried. I thought the ratio between price and quality was a bit far apart. The tenderloin itself was first choice, but overdone. It's a pity that the desired doneness was not asked in advance. The meat had also not rested for a while after cooking, so the juices were still oozing out onto the plate. The gorgonzola sauce was way too salty and therefore very overpowering. Nice, the four different warm vegetables, but all mushy overcooked. The baked potatoes in their jackets gave me the impression that they had been reheated for the second time. They were lukewarm and soggy. For 35 euros it could have been more refined. The 15 euro cheese board did contain large chunks, but four pieces almost the same and a piece of blue cheese. All straight from the refrigerator so they were rock hard and quite tasteless. No sandwich and a glass of port for example. Just a walnut and two dried fruits. The wine was absolutely delicious, by the way. The entire restaurant was packed, which apparently resulted in a loss of attention and love in the kitchen.

Esther is always vibrant. And a hostess par excellence... the other serving lady was almost as spontaneous and pleasant! That gives an extra dimension to the evening. Food is good, (too) much!

I wanted to treat myself, so I had dinner at this Italian restaurant. Even though I went out for dinner alone, I felt very comfortable. As a starter I had the Zuppa di pesce, delicious, definitely recommended! When Sjoerd asked if I wanted the soup supplemented, I was surprised as I have never been asked that anywhere before, so I couldn't refuse! The Linguine Carbonara is also fantastic, but very large. Sjoerd indicated that this was done on purpose, to prevent you from going home hungry. Afterwards I should have taken a container with me so I could take the rest home, but that is a learning experience for next time. Highly recommended to order! I was now too full to order a dessert, but if I find a gap somewhere in the coming days, I hope to come back and order the Sgroppino. It was okay. We have eaten at Al Dente before. Our tip would be: keep an eye on the price-quality ratio. It is too expensive for what is offered. Too large a plate of spaghetti, which quickly makes it one-sided.

Beautifully decorated restaurant, it must be said. In terms of food we were a bit disappointed. The pastas are quite pricey, but they definitely taste good. But I got the feeling it was quantity over quality judging by the huge plates. My wife had the carbonara and we actually thought it would be a real classic. Unfortunately it was the 'Dutch' variety and her pasta was floating in a cream soup which was supposed to be the sauce.

What a good Italian restaurant. Delicious, tasty dishes prepared with care. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. We ended up there by chance and were lucky that there was a table available. It is wise to make a reservation, because it was full even on a Thursday evening. If we are in Breda again and feel like eating Italian food, we will definitely eat here again.

The entire evening was, in a word, perfect. Friendly staff with a warm welcome. The restaurant was chic and attractively decorated. We were allowed to choose our own spot. We then received the menu while enjoying a delicious glass of wine and in the meantime something was already put on the table in advance, which we found very friendly! The menu was extremely extensive, so there was something for everyone. The food was delicious and we both agreed that the truffle pasta was truly the best thing we have ever eaten in our lives, truly unsurpassed! The time between dishes was also just right and the portions were good too!! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Stylishly decorated restaurant with an attractive atmosphere. Warmly welcomed by the owner. After an appetizer, we then had a three-course menu accompanied by a bottle of slightly fruity Pinot Nero. The main course was a delicious tournedos with some arugula and fried potato slices; highly recommended! Quality and atmosphere are of paramount importance here.

Not reserved... But even though the restaurant was quite full, they still managed to make adjustments 👍 The seafood pasta was unbeatable!

the seafood pasta had an unpleasant muddy smell, I couldn't eat them, they were taken from me without asking if I wanted a replacement, and they made me pay for the dish in full, not very commercial!

The booking service is horrible. Waste my time. And patience. Tried to book for my anniversary, and msg them way in advance. They said I was too early to book. When I contacted then by the time they requested: I hear we are full!! And when I got upset they blocked me!!!!

Beautiful menu, we opted for lunch with carpaccio, scallops, tenderloin and cod. Excellent service. Nice wines, atmospheric ambiance. Full, hearty and chunky dishes: classic good with a clear signature of the chef. So not a standard Italian, enjoy it!

Our 8 year’s anniversary dinner at Al Dente went well. They serving big portions and friendly services. They have long list wine and food menu. We had scallops with cheese sauce on top for starter and we love it as its delicious! I has lamb rack and my partner had seabream. The lamb rack cook well medium rare but the herbs on top of the lamb have a bitter flavour. Bitter its not my favourite but it could be unique for other people. The prices for the menu is quite high and probably because they serve big portions. I would come back to try other dishes 😃

Najlepsze miejsce z kuchnia włoską w calej Bredzie! Pani która nas obsługiwała była bardzo sympatyczna, ta kobieta ma niesamowitą energię i widać, że robi wszystko z miłością. Jedzenie niesamowicie pyszne, dostałyśmy również starter z grzanką, pomidorami, kulką mozarelli, oliwką na carpaccio. Jeżeli chodzi o Dania główne 10/10; Spaghetti pyszne a krewetki nie były przeciągnięte i sprężyste. Turbot rozpływał się w ustach, w połączeniu z sosem musztardowym - PYSZNE ! Talerz owoców morza - NIESAMOWITY, owoce morza były świetnie zrobione, ciężko jest mi dobrać słowa do tego dania - TRZEBA GO SPRÓBOWAĆ, zaufaj mi a nie pożałujesz. Polecam z całego serca
