Pleasant place with a hip, fresh, Italian vibe. The breakfast menu wasn't extensive; I chose the yogurt and really enjoyed it. Beautiful presentation, just like the rest of the place. As far as I'm concerned, it meets the Italian standard, with the special ice cream cones! We would love to come back sometime.

The food was mediocre; the vitello tonnato bore no resemblance to the famous dish. The sliced ​​cold cuts with cream lacked a strong tuna flavor, while the pasta with prawns was tasty. The service was somewhat overwhelmed, but we were a large group.

We had a delicious lunch at Gusta di Pol today. We had vitello tonnato and carpaccio; both were delicious! They also had an espresso macchiato, rare in the Netherlands, especially in such good quality; it was superb! After seeing the ice cream, we couldn't resist finishing with a tasty ice cream. When I am back in Breda, I will definitely go and enjoy these fantastic Italian flavors again. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant with friendly service and delicious pizzas. We didn't find the green asparagus particularly special, though: a few very thin, pathetic little asparagus spears. The taste was okay, but we really thought it was a bit of a joke, and not cheap. Otherwise, super satisfied!

Gusto Di Pol, always a good idea! Whether it's for a cup of coffee, lunch, or a bite to eat in the evening, it's always delicious and a great place to be!

It was busy, and that's why it took a long time. But also because there was only one employee standing by the ice, and she wasn't very efficient or fast in terms of work pace. She was very polite and friendly, though.

I recently ate pizza here for the first time with my boyfriend. We thought the pizza was really MEGA delicious!!! I will definitely be back for that. It was so fresh and tasty. I had pizza prosciutto :). And the tiramisu was good too. The service was fine as well, but personally I found the atmosphere a bit less appealing. We were seated close to another table, and I personally found that a bit less pleasant.

Magnifico 👌 We came here two nights in a row, called once in advance, but wasn't really needed. There's plenty of room, and there's a pleasant chaotic atmosphere. Like a real Italian family place. There's ice cream and more for the casual bypasser, and some cosy tables for those dining in, or outside if the weather allows it. Service is super friendly. And, what's this? Carbonara on a pizza? Yes, please! The dough is amazingly delicious, kudos to the chef! Everything is prepared fresh on the spot, it's always a good sign if the kitchen is clearly visible. One small remark: a 'P**nstar Martini' cocktail is usually served with a shot of champagne/prosecco, I only got the cocktail (if you forgot, don't worry about it, I should've said it on the spot). This was the perfect place for a short walk from the nearby Van der Valk hotel, where we were staying. Thank you for your hospitality.

After our registered partnership, in a small version with the parents, brother and sister, and witnesses, we had a wonderful time here. We were free to do as we pleased in the back of the shop. We brought a projector for a presentation, had a delicious cake from Baker Pol, prosecco, coffee, tea, and then a spontaneous lunch. Nothing, absolutely nothing, was a problem. Every week that we stop by for an ice cream, a quick coffee, a mini lunch or dinner (eat-in or taken away), a chocolate gift, or... we are always warmly welcomed. Very small portions. The menu is excellent, and the taste is good, but it's not enough. The main course salad for €19 was tasty, but I wouldn't call it a main course salad in terms of quantity. Luckily, it came with some good bread.

Nice place and the food is excellent value for money. The service is very friendly, but it happens far too often that I wait 15 to 20 minutes and don't get helped, even though there are five people behind the counter. So I walk up to the counter myself to order, and they ask if my coffee is for here or to go? I've been waiting here for 20 minutes. If it were to go, I would have been at the counter 20 minutes ago. 😂

We were just planning to grab a simple pizza takeaway and get through dinner quickly. However, the pizza turned out to be far more delicious than we expected and really made our evening. It was baked well in a proper oven, cooked just right, with balanced and high quality ingredients. Since I moved from Eindhoven, I paid a lower price than what I was used to, which was a nice surprise. Having such a great pizza place so close to my home made me really happy.

What a lovely restaurant! Until yesterday, I only knew it for its delicious ice cream. We were there at a table with three children and six adults. The children happily wandered around without disturbing anyone else, regularly checking out the ice cream and the kitchen. After a table full of antipasti, we had pizza, children's spaghetti, a variety of pastas, and burrata salad. I've only heard positive reviews. Reasonable quality wine at a reasonable price. The waitresses were lovely, and the same young woman always served our table. We will definitely be back for takeout pizza and ice cream, and will occasionally grab a bite to eat with the (grand)children.

Several things were really dirty. The cutlery wasn't clean, the container it was served in was dirty, and several spots throughout the restaurant were also dirty. The appetizers took over 45 minutes to be served after we inquired about their whereabouts. One of the pizzas served during the main course was incredibly cold. They initially wanted to reheat it with burrata and arugula on top. We told them this wasn't acceptable and that we wanted a new one. Before we even got home, both diners had stomach problems. The rest of the dishes tasted fine.

We had a wonderful evening with two friends. The efficient and friendly waitress escorted us to our reserved table at the back of the restaurant. Beautiful photos on the wall, and what a space if you enjoy unique buildings. The menu is extensive, and we chose various antipasti dishes. Delicious burrata and arancini. The vitello tonato is a bit sparing with the sauce, which is a shame. We had a bottle of sparkling water and wine with it. A second round of orders was also quickly taken, and the waitress gave us another recommendation. She hadn't exaggerated. Ice cream from the display case for dessert. 't Aogje has a beautiful and good restaurant! Highly recommended. Reservations are required!

My wife and I had never been to Princenhage before, but Gusto di Pol was recommended to us, so we went there for dinner. It was pleasantly busy on the terrace and in the restaurant, which was a good sign. We started with a Prosecco and then ordered our appetizer and main course. My wife had the tomato bruschetta and I had the bruschetta with smoked tuna and orange oil. What delicious appetizers these were! Both the tomato and smoked tuna not only looked fantastic but tasted great too. Full of flavor and, combined with the oil on top, a real treat. The delicious slice of sourdough bread it was served on top was a perfect finishing touch. For my main course, I had the pizza Diavola, which was topped with various types of spicy salami. Delicious! And the crust was perfectly baked. Not too hard, not too soft. Just as it should be. My wife had the pizza Gorgonzola e Pera. A delicious combination of gorgonzola and pear. Very tasty and, once again, rich in flavor and well-combined! We enjoyed some very good wines with the dishes. For dessert, we had a piece of tiramisu and an ice cream cake. We found the latter nothing special, but it was certainly okay. The tiramisu lacked some coffee and liquor, making it a bit flat. Too much vanilla flavor. A shame. The coffee we had with it was good, though. Furthermore, we found the atmosphere in the restaurant not very cozy or inviting in terms of decor. And it was very noisy. The service was excellent.

This is a really lovely and delicious restaurant. We had pizza and salads here in the evening, which were all delicious. You can tell they have a great respect for Italian cuisine. The ice cream afterward (all homemade) was also delicious. The best part was the incredibly friendly service. I hope to be able to go back.

Tasty pizza as main and canoli as desert

Expected more. Unfortunately not fulfilled. Small lunch menu with few vegetarian options (these are also not distinguished by a V). And if there are also spelling errors on the menu... then the "Italian" is quickly gone for me.

Went for lunch at Gusto Di Pol. Went for dinner last week which was very tasty, so decided to try the lunch menu as well. Unfortunately this was a big disappointment. When ordering the sandwiches, we were not asked what kind of bread we would like, so we got a ciabatta which was very small. It would have been more like a ciabattina. The sandwiches had minimal toppings, and the toppings on the sandwiches were not fresh. The rib eye was tough and almost seemed to have been heated up in a microwave. Jalapeño mayonnaise was also not present on this sandwich. When paying, we were not asked if the food tasted good. It was an impersonal experience. Feedback was given to the staff about the lunch, including with regard to the rib eye sandwich, but this was responded to briefly. It is a shame that guests are treated this way, and the staff is very impersonal. I couldn't eat half of the rib eye sandwich because of the toughness of the meat, and the staff didn't respond to this. Too bad!

Top; location, people, quality of the offer. In this case: a mini ice cream. So nice when something like that is included in the assortment. Yummy! By the way: a visit is more than worth it in this picturesque Princenhage. Truly unique.

It was great to discover this nice place. We know Breda city center by now (it's still nice) so I found this nice place on Google. We had a delicious cake at Gusto Di Pol, made with love and you can taste it! The Tiramisu cake is really recommended! 😋 And the young lady who helped us was very friendly and really enjoyed her work. The location is also super nice! 😍 Nice square, surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, shops, a few cafes, supermarkets and a bookstore. Ps. definitely stop by the Indonesian shop afterwards. It's so cute!

Great Deli restaurant with nice beer

Wow..! Today we had a delicious meal in this super nice restaurant. Ate pizza like you can only eat it in Italy! So so fresh and delicious! And what a nice and nice boy our waiter was! Because of him we enjoyed this wonderful evening even more! So hospitable and cozy. A big compliment and definitely recommended to go here.

We ate here for the first time today. The atmosphere of the business is really good, location on the terrace with sun. The service is friendly and smooth. The pizzas are okay, but not very richly topped in terms of ingredients. Big enough and well prepared. Just the ice. We have already had a lot of ice cream, including real Italian ice cream in Italy, but we both just threw away the mango ice cream from here. Think production error, but there was no mango flavor. What a shame, because there are many good ice cream shops nowadays, but this ice cream was not to our taste.

Delicious pizza. The service was a bit poor, but the pizza made up for this shortcoming. Unfortunately, tomato soup is not permanently on the menu, and the soup made of white vegetables was sweet and not particularly spiced.

Delicious food and fast service

May sound a bit exaggerated, but perhaps one of the greatest reliefs in Breda. The food is of top quality, the staff is friendly and helpful and, last but not least, the price is just right! We come there regularly and will continue to do so!

Went by for breakfast at 11:30 am. Of the 5 things on the menu, half were not available, but making a sandwich for 11.30 "is really not possible". After waiting 45 minutes for our breakfast, we left and went for a sandwich further down the road. 2 stars because the coffee was tasty

One of the best ice creams I've ever had. Just not the horns. So better out of the container.

The two of us enjoyed the Serata Italiana. The antipasti: 'tuna trio' was great, the pasta: 'ravioli with spinach, ricotta and oyster mushrooms' was delicious. (Upon inquiry, the pasta turned out to be homemade). Good filling with delicious soft butter on top. We took both the vegetarian version of the primi: 'pasta with grilled vegetables and spicy aioli' and the meat version: 'tagliatta di manzo' and shared it together. We were both very enthusiastic about this. We were very enthusiastic about the dolce: 'ricotta mousse with strawberries and balsamic vinegar'. We went home with a good feeling and a well-filled stomach, but we will definitely come back.
