My client (wheelchair dependent) went out for dinner with an acquaintance. While on their website it says they close at 9pm. I, the Client, was kindly asked to leave at half past eight. But he is dependent on a taxi and this had already been discussed. But these people didn't care about that. In addition, the carppaccio (she had not charged for this either) was inedible. Overall not good service and food.

Just a cozy restaurant for all kinds of people, motorcyclists, drivers, representatives, tourists, etc.

Reception for retirement was celebrated here, it was very well organised, tasty snacks, friendly staff, good atmosphere.

Delicious apple pie and delicious branch tea (fresh mint).

Had a graduation award evening here with a large group. A chicken spring roll in advance. Main course babi pangang and chicken leg and dessert a bavarois with a tiny scoop of ice cream. Had to pay €32.50 for this. While here you can get a 3-course menu for groups for €27.50. Food was okay but certainly not €32.50. I've heard several people from this group complain about this.

2e kerstdag Kerstbrunch. Het was gezellig maar het eten zeer karig. Er werd nog gezegd: “Ga niet allemaal tegelijk”, alleen als je langer wachtte was een hele hoop al op en dit werd niet aangevuld. Voor de kindjes heb ik 3 knakworstjes kunnen pakken en een paar frikadelletjes. Ook dit werd helaas niet aangevuld. Bij thuiskomst kwamen er er achter dat we de kinderprijs boven de 5 hebben betaald voor onze zoon van 3, beetje duur voor die paar frikadelletjes en een croissantje.

Food was tasty, but on the salty side for people who cook salt-free themselves. The location of the restaurant is not optimal, but it does provide plenty of parking space. Not my interior in terms of atmosphere, but that is and remains a personal matter.

Spontaan uit eten op zondagavond . Wel even gebeld. Met ons 2’en, totaal 5 mensen aan het eten. Super rustig. Aardige bediening. Leuke locatie. Alles keurig geregeld. Het eten was heerlijk. Zelfs gebakken aardappeltjes gekregen, na vragen. Ipv patat. Alleen de vraag, hoe gebakken de biefstuk,is gemist. Had nog iets medium achtiger gekund. Het eten was heerlijk. Prima verzorgd. Parkeren voor de deur. Toilet op zelfde verdieping. Locatie is goed voor feesten en partijen. Er is ook nog een boven verdieping. Makkelijk te bereiken. Naast Ranzijn( dieren-planten winkel.

Nice service, good food, cozy and not difficult

Very unfortunate.. not for repetition.. A family dinner in honor of your birthday.. It was not the will of the management, but the execution left much to be desired... experience problem perhaps? Drink selection was small and not really good quality unfortunately. (But ended up with prosecco and it was fine). In addition, a strange dinner menu with a tapas board on it that was not recommended as a starter because "it was a lot" - why not put it on the drinks or lunch menu instead of the dinner menu?? First we waited way too long for a starter... and we were the only ones in the shop?! And then also very peppery steak tartare and dry carpaccio.. Then the main courses did not provide a great experience due to the cold vegetables underneath. The fish salad looked great, but the taste was only so-so... It must be said that the spicy prawns themselves (not the coarsely chopped vegetables with stems) and also the round steak were of excellent quality. The cooking was not quite right (ask for medium and it was medium rare, but it was soft and tasted fine) Closing with desserts that were either not present, or at least topped with ice cream 😞 see image.. The disappointment for us was complete and great. Fortunately we had a nice time together, but we will book a different location next time 😩

We waited a long time on the terrace until we were helped. Food is good and tasty. Prices are on the expensive side.

It was nice, but it shouldn't really be called high tea. Pair of P.W. tea bags on a plate, always topped up with water. An etagere was filled but not really special and sandwiches, unevenly cut.

We were there to strike FNV CNV for a better collective labor agreement in Metal and Technology

Often ordered lunch, croquette sandwich is highly recommended.

Very bad, had a party with 40 people, 2 people, service which was very little and everything took a very long time, food tasted of nothing and was downright bad, not recommended

Last Wednesday evening I had dinner at De Poort with some friends. When ordering I wanted a 0% beer which was not in stock. Then just a glass of tap water. Ate and then paid. It turns out that 2 glasses of tap water were charged as 2 x soft drinks at € 1.50. I asked if this was correct??. Yes, Magreet had to, I was surprised, astonished and very angry, I settled and ended a period of more than 20 years at the Alkmaarse Poort, I will never step foot here again. What a mockery and disrespect to the regular customer.

Easier to reach and plenty of parking

Drive on to McDonalds!!!!!! Unfortunately, it was one big disappointment! Service was rude and unfriendly. The lemon in the drink was old and dried out, fries came after it had been on the bar for fifteen minutes. Mayo was old and lumpy, sauce with the hamburger turned out to contain alcohol, very nice when you are pregnant! Aioli was more salty than anything else, the well done burger was like a tasteless dust ball. The chicken satay still tasted great! Mussels were okay, except for not enough sauce and salad. For price/quality it is even better to go to McDonald's. At least you'll come home with a well-filled belly!

We had a fantastic meal here 16 months ago, and was really looking forward to coming here again, but today it was all very tasteless. (both starter and main course) Even the ice cream wasn't great, as if it had been in the freezer for far too long. Very unfortunate, a disappointing experience.

Delicious food and what a top chef

We had a nice meal here, the interior is cozy. The reception a little less. Mrs. had seen us come in but continued with what she was doing, so we greeted her. I think her choice of clothing could also be a little better. If Mrs. wearing neat (black) long trousers with a blouse and closed shoes instead of bare feet in slippers looks a bit neater.

Don't be stingy with the whipped cream

The food and drinks were great, which is a shame, they have been around for 30 years and that is clearly visible inside. Maybe they "should" think about renovating the interior and bringing it up to date!

Friendly service, good food, good parking. Unfortunately, it is off the route for many people, so they cannot find it. We had two sandwiches and an egg roll and they were absolutely fine. It is easy to sit outside on the terrace, but indoors is of course also possible. Especially in the conservatory you can relax on less nice days. A hidden gem.

IKEA Haarlem, a department store located on the outskirts of Haarlem with a very large and easily accessible parking lot for cars and good and spacious disabled spots close to the entrance. It is also nice to mention that special parking spaces have been created for families with a spacious surface to easily move strollers and other aids from the car. This prevents parking damage. The one and a half meter idea for health problems was created by IKEA company management with clear signage and walking routes indicated. Please pay attention to the employees who have to work there. Sometimes they are tired of waiting and no longer respect the one and a half meters. All products are well packaged and available Shopping carts are not required, but are sufficiently available and unfortunately the lovely restaurant is closed for the time being due to corona virus measures. I often get ideas for DIY projects when I'm wandering around IKEA, but many products are so low in price that I forget about DIY for a while and I come home with a purchased IKEA product. Have fun and something for everyone. It is well worth a visit.

Have lunch here. Prices turned out to be quite expensive, but if you get quality then that's fine. However, the mayonnaise turned out to be really old, the bun tasted like snot and the sauce was not really sauce. By the way, you get ketchup fresh, from a bag.

The Alkmaarse Poort is conveniently located on the ring road of Alkmaar. Lovely restaurant and place for a drink with friends. Take the Gamma and Ranzijn Alkmaar exit.

In itself a nice restaurant, but very expensive for what you get. Fresh orange juice 3.80! and that is in a very small "kind of wine glass" 2 croquettes on 2 very small rolls, €7.90. And not even Van Dobbe. They also no longer had normal Coca-Cola Zero, so you get a large one and you pay 3.60 for it! all very strange. I won't go here again.

Very tasty food. Due to the new glass wall you cannot see the restaurant very well from the road. But it is really worth it.

We had a BBQ inside. Everything was great. Now I was also there with a very nice group and it certainly adds to the experience. I'm picky with meat and salads but that wasn't necessary everything was delicious. Friendly service. Downright good.

Went to a party. Good service and everything went well. Tasty snacks and a nice place. The view of the noise barrier is less, but for a party or quick lunch it is centrally located with plenty of parking spaces.

A bad experience for a Boxing Day. Unfriendly staff, food very substandard.

Boxing Day 2018, brunch from 11:00 AM / 2:00 PM. buffet only opened at 11:45 (we had 2 young children aged 4 and 6)! hungry children were given a sandwich with thick slices of ham... no success with our children. They were also not asked whether children wanted with or without ham/cheese. there was dirt and used napkins under our tables. coffee pot on the table but no hot water for tea! soup was served (broth in a glass with residue on the outside of the glass (not wiped). The staff who was working seemed disinterested and rather blunt! I do not work in the catering industry, but if you cannot accommodate the wish of your guests or a clean stay, this is not a good thing - literally. We didn't wait for dessert... we ran out of the tent, McDonalds is even better!

Unsociable, had dinner there at 6 p.m., small menu and we were the only customers, you hardly dared to talk. I am surprised that this restaurant can still exist. Before the highway was changed, it was a successful business, with a nice menu for dining.
