Service and Food was really good! We had the meat plate for 2 persons.

Very good and delicious food, everything was freshly prepared. Highly recommended. The steak was very good. The Tex-Mex burger was also very good. The fish and chips were also very good.

The table grill is highly recommended for 2.

The food was delicious... We had the Champignons and the Pulled Pork Nachos as starters and two Tenderloins with a baked potato and vegetables... Everything was tasty, the meat was on point, juicy and just fantastic... Very high recommendation ❤️ Also everyone was very nice and friendly... Would come again...

We waited over an hour for our food, and several tables that arrived after us had already finished eating. To be fair, they gave us one free drink for two people. The steak was excellent! The fish and chips are better in any cafeteria or snack bar. Ideally, just order the specialties like steak, etc. Drinks, like almost everywhere in Alkmaar, were rather expensive.

I was here with my parents, we had a Cheeseburger, a Vegetarian Burger and a Bacon Burger, they were very tasty and definitely worth their price, which is not much in comparison to other restaurants i was in. The atmosphere was at least as good as the taste of the food, if not even better. The music was very relaxing and so was the service. I never had a service this kind in any restaurant i visited in my whole life. From the start to the end of our visit the service was very kind and helpful. I could even see that the service treated every guest the same way. In summary i would even need more than five stars because this restaurant deserves way more than just five stars.

Good food (as long as you aren't seated at the back near the kitchen) and an acceptable atmosphere. It would be nice if there were more staff. It takes quite a long time for them to get to you. - this was before the business reopened and while the restaurant was still listed on Social Deal.

The steak was disappointing. I understand that ribeye is a fatty cut, but this steak contained too much tough connective tissue and gristle, leaving much less edible meat than expected. For the price, I expected better trimming and quality.

We didn't enjoy our meal; the carpaccio was watery and tasteless, and unfortunately, the steaks weren't very good either. One was very rare, but we did receive an apology and a 3 euro discount on the bill. The hamburgers the neighbors ordered looked good, though. 😊

It seemed like it could have been a good restaurant but it has a lot of problems. When we went, it was only half full, but the food took about 40 minutes to arrive. It took so long, they asked if we wanted something while we waited. I asked for a glass of tap water and they said. "We don't do tap water". They asked if I wanted sauce with my fries. On the menu it was €1 for sauce, but they charged me €2.50. They didn't mention this when I ordered. Overall not worth the long wait, no water, and hidden overcharges. Not recommended.

The steaks were very tasty, well prepared, and available in nice large portions of up to 500 grams. The sauces were also excellent. The food itself is highly recommended. However, I do feel that the appearance of the place doesn't quite match the quality of the meat. The steaks are served on plain white plates. On beautiful wooden serving boards, the dish would immediately look much bolder, warmer, and perhaps 30 to 40% more premium. I also found the advertising sign outside less successful. It stands low on a simple tripod, and the emphasis is too much on fries. As a result, from the outside, it looks more like a snack bar than a real steakhouse. On the board, I would mainly place beautiful photos of various large steaks on wooden boards, ribs, and multiple types of sauces. Fries or potatoes can of course be shown as a side dish, but not as the main focus. With a few small adjustments to the presentation, Meat & Co could much better show what it really is: a place where you can eat large and delicious cuts of meat. 🥩

We had a delicious meal, I can't put it any other way. Steaks perfectly grilled, side dishes also fine. The music started to get on our nerves a bit after a while, not our taste. But we really enjoyed the food immensely.

It’s been almost 3 years that I always order the spare ribs. They’re the best I’ve ever had, and the price is very reasonable too. I’ll never switch to any other spare ribs! The pulled pork and the nachos starter is amazing as well. I truly recommend this place!

My mother and I dined here tonight and we ordered the tenderloin steaks with vegetables, garlic bread and a baked potato and all of the food was wonderful! It was our best meal in Alkmaar. Kiro our server was so welcoming and friendly. We had a great chat that made the dining experience that much better. The meal was very reasonably priced as well. We highly recommend dining here!

I came across this restaurant via SocialDeal; the reviews were okay, so I thought, "Let's just give it a try." But unfortunately, the food just wasn't good. Some dishes didn't make sense... tacos with pulled pork, with cheddar... cheddar...?! Shrimp in tomato sauce, why not some tasty garlic oil?! It's a meat restaurant, which is supposed to lean towards Argentinian cuisine, but well, that's debatable. The ordered chicken breast was bone dry, and the steak had been cut open to see if it was medium rare. That part had become rock-hard and inedible... The beauty of a meat restaurant is that they only have to focus on good meat. However, that wasn't the case here. On top of that, my stomach felt nagging and unsettled after eating the shrimp. On top of that, we ended up spending way too much money for this evening. A shame, but we won't be going back a second time.

The 400-gram steak was very good. Lots of flavor, nice and tender, no sauce needed. I ordered medium and it was just barely done (almost raw). There could be a bit more garnish on the plate. Right now, there is just a piece of meat on your plate. A little dressing wouldn't hurt. The carpaccio was fine. I just don't quite understand the piece of tomato and lemon on top, and the pesto underneath was a bit much. Overall, very satisfied with the quality. The service is very friendly and helpful.

Yesterday, we dined at Meat & Co for the first time since the takeover. We were received very warmly by the host and immediately felt welcome. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quiet and pleasant, although the music was a bit too quiet for a steakhouse to our taste. The food was certainly not bad, but it was not a culinary masterpiece either. The ingredients used came across as being of low to average quality. Fortunately, the excellent service made up for a lot; it was truly a strong point of the evening. All in all, we had a lovely evening. Definitely worth 4 stars for the hospitality and service.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly young gentleman and warmed by beautiful melodies playing in the restaurant. The dish, clearly prepared with great care, was served on a beautifully decorated plate. The steak and side dish tasted delicious! There was a lot of attention paid to us as guests. We visited Meat & Co in Alkmaar for the first time on Sunday evening, and it turned out to be such a lovely experience. The restaurant was quiet, likely because of the football match, which made the atmosphere feel relaxed and personal. We were welcomed by two young waiters who invited us to sit wherever we liked. Shortly after, the owner, Mina, came over to our table. He’s warm, funny, and instantly makes you feel at home—such a great host. The service really stood out. Jan, George, and another young waiter (whose name I didn’t catch) were all friendly, attentive, and happy to chat with us while we waited, which added a genuine, personal touch. The food was excellent. The steaks were tender and full of flavor. My husband had the tournedos, I had the ribeye, and my daughter chose the combo with three different steaks—each one cooked perfectly. The vegetables and potatoes were also well-seasoned and delicious. And the highlight to finish, the tiramisu was absolutely amazing, clearly homemade and one of the best we’ve had. Overall, a very enjoyable evening with kind, welcoming people who truly care about their guests. Definitely worth a visit, please support them, they’ll make your experience a memorable one.

Not really very special. The meat is fine but lacks sauce. We mentioned this, and the waiter indicated that he had forgotten to ask when placing the order. The staff does their best but is inexperienced. Not recommended as a place to go.

We had a truly wonderful experience here. I had the calamari rings for my appetizer. For me, calamari is always a good indicator of a restaurant's quality, because you can immediately tell if they're well-prepared. These were truly excellent: nice and crispy on the outside and thankfully, no rubbery ring on the inside. They tasted great, and the accompanying sauce was also delicious, without being overly garlicky. For my main course, I had the Tex-Mex burger, which was also truly delicious. Everything on the burger tasted fresh, looked fresh, and was well-prepared. You could tell they'd put a lot of care into it. The sirloin steak the people I was with ordered was also very good, according to them, so we were very happy with that as well. Furthermore, the service staff was super attentive and polite, which made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

Hey Alkmaar meat lovers, where are you? The steak and spare ribs were truly fantastic! There's definitely plenty of room during the week, and I think it should be more crowded. The salads were delicious and a full meal in themselves, but because the meat was so good, we managed to finish it all. The service was excellent, and the owner is very friendly and helpful. We'll be back soon! We hope it's completely full then. The price is definitely worth it.

This restaurant is in the city center of Alkmaar. I often used to order Spare Ribs from this restaurant, and go for pick up. The cook is really nice, and we often talked a bit outside the restaurant. The price is reasonable, and the food is delicious.

Finally back after a serious fire. Only open for a month now, the place still needs some sprucing up. The menu has been updated with new options, but the old bestsellers are still there. The staff and chef are super friendly. The food is fantastic as always!

This place is in no way a reflection of what it used to be. Not a real cosy vibe anymore, you overpay for a basic hamburger (which used to be excellent), small portions of ribs, and the prices went up ! Don't go here

We walked about Alkmaar and came across this little restaurant. I had the Double Angus Bacon Burger and it was GREAT. Some people across from us had ribs and said they were great. Definitely would come back to this restaurant. The music was a little bit loud and could have been lower to create a better atmosphere

We had a reservation here, but we arrived on time. Apparently, our name had already been taken for a table. Which is bizarre, because my partner's name isn't very common, so it certainly wasn't a coincidence. It was very busy, and we didn't see any free tables. They went to get us. We waited there for 15 minutes, and no one said or did anything. Well, after that, we left, and no one seemed to care. It's a shame, I hope the people in our name enjoyed their meal. My birthday dinner was gone. If I could have given 0 stars, I would have. Because this could have been better. Very sad. No apologies whatsoever. We certainly won't be coming here again.

Every time I come there is room for me. Mega good service from the staff and they also remember all your food from previous times if you come more often. I always recommend them, because they deserve it. Top place to eat and for your meat the right place. The renovation is a lot more luxurious, prices as usual good.
