Meat & Co in Centrum

A wide selection of steaks, all super tender. There were 16 of us and we had a delicious meal. The service was very friendly, and the location is also nice. Everything looks neat and tidy. Highly recommended!

Last night I ate at Meat & Co for the fifth time! Another successful dinner! Good meat, generous portions, and excellent service.

I had incredibly tender spareribs. They just fell off the bone. The food was beautifully presented and the service was cheerful. The price was very reasonable for the portion size. A lot for a little.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and the high-quality dishes last Sunday. "Saturday evening, we couldn't get through without a reservation. We opted for a restaurant where we could still get a table three stories up behind a steamed-up window. The food was fine, but the noise level from the guests was too overwhelming. Honestly, the music at Meat & Co wasn't our choice, but it was wonderful and relaxing. Thank you so much for your hospitality and delicious food."

This restaurant deserves to be full! Great service and, very importantly, a super tender tournedos that melts in your mouth! Beautifully presented and a delicious red wine to go with it... nothing more to add! Enjoy!

Charming and warm spot at Mient 22. I entered to a warm and cozy atmosphere. The food was also well-prepared; the steak was perfectly medium-rare, as instructed. The service was fast and friendly—in short, nothing to complain about!

I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend. I ordered the Pepper Steak and my girlfriend had the Bacon Burger. The food was very tasty and high quality. The price was very reasonable. The atmosphere was comfortable and the hospitality friendly. I recommend everyone to visit this restaurant.

Finally back after a serious fire. Only open for a month now, the place still needs some sprucing up. The menu has been updated with new options, but the old bestsellers are still there. The staff and chef are super friendly. The food is fantastic as always!

We had a delicious meal at Meat&Co today. The service was excellent and the meat was delicious, just the way we like it. The side dishes, especially the warm vegetables, were also delicious. We sat down for a while afterwards with coffee and a drink. Definitely worth coming back.

This place is in no way a reflection of what it used to be. Not a real cosy vibe anymore, you overpay for a basic hamburger (which used to be excellent), small portions of ribs, and the prices went up ! Don't go here

What a special story! They've just reopened after a devastating fire! They're still recovering their "soul," but the food was absolutely delicious. Such lovely people, you simply have to go there. I'm sure everything will be fine at Meat & Co!

We walked about Alkmaar and came across this little restaurant. I had the Double Angus Bacon Burger and it was GREAT. Some people across from us had ribs and said they were great. Definitely would come back to this restaurant. The music was a little bit loud and could have been lower to create a better atmosphere

A very good steak restaurant in Alkmaar. A wide variety of steaks with a variety of sauces and side dishes. Very friendly and helpful staff. The meat was cooked to perfection and the quality was very good. Highly recommended. You know you can eat there without hesitation.

Always delicious food. Too bad that the fire threw a spanner in the works of this restaurant. We hope to be able to come again soon! Is anything known yet about the repair of the damage? We definitely miss the food and atmosphere!

We had a reservation here, but we arrived on time. Apparently, our name had already been taken for a table. Which is bizarre, because my partner's name isn't very common, so it certainly wasn't a coincidence. It was very busy, and we didn't see any free tables. They went to get us. We waited there for 15 minutes, and no one said or did anything. Well, after that, we left, and no one seemed to care. It's a shame, I hope the people in our name enjoyed their meal. My birthday dinner was gone. If I could have given 0 stars, I would have. Because this could have been better. Very sad. No apologies whatsoever. We certainly won't be coming here again.

Every time I come there is room for me. Mega good service from the staff and they also remember all your food from previous times if you come more often. I always recommend them, because they deserve it. Top place to eat and for your meat the right place. The renovation is a lot more luxurious, prices as usual good.

It was my first option in Alkmaar until last month. At the beginning of June/24, when I got my dish, I noticed it was different and when asked the waiter about and he told me they have a new owner and changed the menu. The taste was only "OK". The food was more sophisticated before. From my favorite dish they changed the vegetables by a salad, which we all know that is cheaper. The chicken was no longer as well seasoned as before. BUT they raised the prices! So, lower/cheaper quality for more money. :( I could compare it with the old prices, which still on the website. What a pity!! It was always a pleasure to eat there, but now it is not my first option anymore.

We kozen dit restaurant naar aanleiding van de prijzen op de menukaart van de website. Daar aangekomen bleek ons gerecht voor 2 personen geen € 40 meer te kosten maar € 60. Hun excuus was dat de website verouderd was. Dat alles duurder wordt is begrijpelijk maar 50%???!!! We besloten ergens anders te gaan eten.

We had dinner here while on a boat bike cycling tour in April. This is a hidden gem! The staff split the hamburger and fries on two plates. This meant we would have room to savour their fresh baked desserts. Yummy!

We really enjoyed the food, the pulled pork nachos were delicious and you could almost get the meat of the spare ribs off the bone just by looking. Sooo delicious, tender and juicy and the taste was TOP. PRICES are reasonable, service was top notch. Very friendly and you immediately feel welcome. Highly recommended . We are meat eaters. Would like a good ribs or steak. And you are definitely in the right place, we were there on Sunday, May 19. And they were the last customers before closing time.. food was delicious

Without knowing anything, when passing by a person advises you to enter. Phenomenal recommendation. Very tight price for Holland. We have come out to 15 euros per beard. Some nachos, a Caesar salad and a hamburger with its corresponding drink. Quiet, cozy place. The salad with very delicious braised chicken, good nachos and a delicious burger. Recommendable.

The food was tasty, but I thought it could have been a little warmer, but now it was more lukewarm. Meat was cooked perfectly. The service was great, very friendly and not pushy. I can't agree with other reviews that they found it disturbing when people came to ask if everything was tasty. It was a bit cold inside, but otherwise a nice atmosphere.

I like to order the spareribs here, they really are the best in all of Alkmaar. Falls nicely off the bone. But meat itself is not too soft. I usually choose delivery or pickup and this always goes well. Asked for a beer and which one they could recommend. The beer I received went well with the taste of the spareribs. The price is also very pleasant and better than the competition. When I came to pick up my order, only men worked there. Maybe some feminine energy wouldn't hurt. But that's really a small thing. Doesn't detract from the atmosphere at all.

Returned food served again? While waiting for our order, the table next to us was served. They had apparently ordered exactly the same thing as us and had just started eating when the waiter suddenly took the dishes back and replaced them with a children's version of the same dishes! Later we received our food, which looked suspiciously like the returned dishes from the neighbors. 1 of the 2 spare ribs dishes had half as many spare ribs and fries. When asked why this was the case, a vague answer was given. It was also denied that the food had been served again because the neighbors had ordered something else. Huh??!, waaat?!?!!

The food is great! Breadboard in advance with fresher than fresh bread. The meat is really delicious. You get sauces with it, but the meat doesn't need that. If you like meat, this is the place to be. One point: it all happens very quickly. You barely have time to finish your plate, and then the next course is already ready. But that meat......it gets a big 10 from me! We had the mixed grill for 2 people and what we didn't finish, we took home.

Garnalen...wie weet heb ik een allergie.... Het eten was wel lekker. Ik weet niet hoe mensen een restaurant willen runnen zonder netjes met de klanten om te gaan. Hoe haal je dat in je hoofd? De jonge ober was heel onbeleefd. Hoe kan dat ? Verschikkelijk. Als ik zijn moeder was was zou ik hem kaaihard aanspreken . Hoe durf zo onbeleefd met een groep van 5 vrouwen om te gaan. Ik hoop dat deze jonge man wat manieren gaat leren want dit was te triest voor woorden. Om van te huilen..de vrouwelijke serveerster was een stuk aardiger. Eigenlijk zijn wij heel aardig dat wij de rekening hebben betaald want voor de service was het het niet waard. Schandalig slecht. Nooit meer!

Yesterday, March 15, I had a delicious meal with my wife. Good price, for the quantity and quality of the food. The decor is not special, but that is not what you come to this restaurant for. Recommended.

Bij binnenkomst moesten we maar "ff-en volgen naar uw tafel". Bediening onder de maat. Jonge jongen met slechte etiquette. Trippel bierbesteld kreeg een witbier met bijhorende glas. Na aangeven kreeg ik een trippel maar met een witbier glas... spareribs besteld en deze bleken voorzien van erg zwarte randen. Als toetje een koffie met likeur. Deze werd geserveerd in een smal wijnglas. Kortom geen goeie ervaring, we hadden er spijt an dat we dit restaurant hadden uitgekozen.

What to say! A very good concept that does not come into its own due to total ignorance. The concept is good because nice meat is served for a reasonable price, the drinks are also well priced. The total incompetence lies in the lack of any skills in the field of hospitality, not understanding orders, not doing anything extra when asked, coming 20 times to ask LEKKE, and then giving both thumbs up, and wanting to take away plates if they are not yet being empty. The beautiful pieces of meat were completely cooked, the main course that I had ordered as a starter came as a main course, the pepper sauce was a brown salty wallpaper paste. It's a shame because I think the owners have the best intentions, and despite my opinion the place is quite full. Unfortunately I won't be coming back here again

The food was very good, but you get little to no time to eat it. Once you order, it will be on the table in no time. We wanted to take it easy and have a drink first, but we felt that was not appreciated. As soon as you finish your last bite, your plate is almost taken away. This really results in a poor review, despite the delicious spareribs.

Good food, great atmosphere (as long as you don't sit at the back of the kitchen) and acceptable atmosphere. It would be nice if there were more staff. It takes quite a while before they get to you.

Food fine! Good price-quality ratio! Busy with people waiting at the front door, many people in the walkway. We had the misfortune of meeting a very noisy, intoxicated group of young adults...

Had some groupon with a group of friends 30 somen pp. All the stuff on the menu, you need to pay extra ( a simple burger also) the food was snack house quality whick i thought was strange from a restaurant called meat and co. After the dinner we got a bill of another 100 eu for drinks and extra cost for meals (2 beers pp) we was with 6. The atmosphere was nice.

After several visits to this restaurant I can confirm that the owner is a very friendly man, which definitely adds to the welcoming atmosphere. While I can't be entirely enthusiastic about the steak, which was pretty standard and nothing special, I have to admit that the panna cotta was absolutely delicious! The perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness really made it a highlight of the meal. As a steak lover, and after eating steaks in several places, I realize that my expectations may be on the high side due to my extensive comparison material. Nevertheless, the delicious panna cotta made the experience worth it. The service was generally good and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. If you stop by, I would definitely recommend the panna cotta for dessert!

Nice thing! Very friendly staff and fast service. However, at times the service was so fast that it felt slightly rushed. The quality of the food was great! We had three courses with nachos and chicken wings (both highly recommended) and a burger as a main course. Large and tasty portions. The table where we sat was not ideally positioned. For example, a friend of mine sat with his head against the bottom of a lamp.

We took the grill and that is certainly a good choice. The meat is perfect, the steak, juicy, melts on the tongue. The chicken fillet...great ditto. And the sparerib... it's so overcooked that it falls off the bone. Taste is perfectly fine. The sausage is surprisingly soft... in short, a choice not to be forgotten. I had the spare rib number 1 in Valkenburg, but this is also a number 1. The steak number 1 is in Tilburg, but now at Meat en Co it is a lot closer. I have to compare that again. I'll definitely return. Tip... make dessert a highlight too. Now that falls into nothing...

What a worthless service, if you don't order anything at 2100, then you start calling, don't answer and then cancel the order at 2230. This is what you call a .utrestaurant with a capital K.

We had dinner there last night on Boxing Day. We asked for confirmation last week so that we could be sure that the telephone order had gone well. Well arranged. We were a little later because it was very busy with parking. We were able to sit down straight away and someone immediately came to our table with the menus. While we were looking at our menu, we were asked if we wanted something to drink. They were quite quick to bring us drinks despite it being so busy and especially on Christmas Day. We were 2 adults, 1 teenager and a toddler. Our toddler was in a real restaurant for the first time because we usually go to an all-in restaurant. We brought her markers with her coloring book and everything went fine. We all ordered our food. My husband had carpaccio as a starter and we also ordered chicken wings for our 5-year-old daughter because she was already very hungry haha. When our daughter was enjoying the chicken wings and my husband was enjoying his carpaccio, they politely asked if they could continue with the main course. We said that's absolutely fine because the chicken wings are only for our youngest because she likes them with the fries she got. 3 tournedos, spare ribs with teriyaki and a kids menu with chicken satay. We had our food within half an hour and it was better than expected. Tournedos wonderfully soft and tender and good in taste, spare ribs wonderfully soft, right off the bone and the marinade was delicious. Chicken satay was made from chicken thigh and that was also very tasty together with the peanut sauce. You read reviews in advance before you go to a restaurant, but tasting it yourself is always best. Despite the crowds, they also occasionally came to ask if everything was okay. In between we asked for 2 more bowls of applesauce and that was no problem. Our teenage daughter was still hungry and was curious about a hamburger there. So she could just say what she wanted on it and that was all fine. She also really liked the burger and despite all the food there was still room for dessert For dessert we had 2 Dame Blanche, vanilla ice cream and a panna cotta. All very tasty. Staff was very friendly and the owner occasionally joked with our youngest daughter and called our daughters senoritas, which they thought was very funny. Our youngest said; oh he speaks French and that made us all laugh. All in all a successful evening with friendly staff, good food and a lot of fun. We definitely recommend this restaurant to eat there. 5 stars well deserved.

Food was more than fine, although two people's orders did not go well at first. Price was good for the quality. Fank steak is highly recommended. But where is Gordon Ramsay when you need him. Let the staff run the place and you'll be fine. No dessert, we had better alternatives.

The food was so bad in this place, you had your 3 course menu within 45 minutes, the owner makes you nervous, just walks back and forth and looks like she's about to leave, keeps asking at your table if you want a drink, even if your glass is still there. is not empty . Pieces are missing from the plates and the food is unedible. Really not recommended to eat here. And the owner doesn't look friendly.

Food was mediocre, no charcoal grill taste. Prime rib was dry. Dessert disappointing. Service was fast and good.

Owner only wants money, doesn’t care about customer service. Twice I went and twice was not told how social deal works. Paid more than what was expected. Owner is RUDE , doesn’t take the time to listen to the customers. I will never go again. I would have spent less without the social deal. He doesn’t deserve the business, doesn’t train his staff. Absolutely annoyed by his attitude.

Enjoy a delicious meal for a reasonable price. The mixed grill was delicious and very generous. We were disappointed with the vegetables we ordered. All in all we had a pleasant evening with the two of us.

Spare ribs of the louziest quality. Fries lukewarm. A salad with brown edges. It would be better for them to switch to waste processing at Meat & Co. They have more experience with that.

Meat is tasty. We had purchased vouchers via social deal and had asked twice if we could choose from the entire menu, which was possible. We still had to pay extra for dishes on the bill. No problem, but it would be nicer to indicate this clearly because we had asked for it and we would have been very sorry if we had not brought enough money. Otherwise a great tent.
