The food was excellent. Deliciously cooked, fresh, plenty of it, and a wide selection. Something for everyone. Service was as expected, though it was crowded with dirty dishes. I think the atmosphere depends entirely on the decency and patience of the people present, both strangers and customers. Thanks!

First and last time. The food was nothing special; a few dishes were good, but other similar restaurants had much more choices. We had until 7:58 PM, and already at 7:56 PM a server came to tell us our time was up. Sorry, but this is simply unacceptable. I've never experienced this in any other similar restaurant.

It's a real shame they're taking pangsit off the menu for Christmas; that's what I come here for. I asked, but I had to choose something else. Unfortunately, I didn't have a delicious Christmas dinner because of this.

Worst All You Can Eat restaurant ever. I never write reviews, but I couldn't resist this one. For Christmas, you expect a Christmassy atmosphere, and it wasn't at all. Everyone was freezing all evening. No heating, just a draft. Tables weren't even properly set. Customer service was poor. The chefs were friendly, but that was about it. Almost all the food was cold, old, too tough, too salty, or too sweet. Little choice. And then you have to go to the restroom. That's upstairs. Either the wind blows in from outside or it must have been a very powerful air conditioner. Just when everyone was starting to relax, a loud alarm sounded, signaling everyone to leave. I've never experienced this in a restaurant. And that for €55 per person during the Christmas holidays! Outrageous.

On Christmas Day, we ate there for the first time with family. We found it terribly cold there, and the food was cold and some dishes were too salty. And then there was the whistle afterward, in other words, you have to get lost because the other group is coming. We won't be going back there again.

We ate here on Friday evening at 5 pm with six people (parents, grandparents, and grandparents) through Social Deal. Everything was well stocked, nice and fresh, and hot! (I can't find it in the negative reviews here at all, but maybe they were just unlucky: too many people, too few staff!?!) Variety of food, including fresh sushi, stir-fries, a grill plate, and a variety of fish and meat options. Desserts weren't a huge selection, but they were fine. Three beers/wines per person were fine (they don't want drunk people, which is understandable). The staff was friendly and helpful. We've been to Verschillend all-you-can-eat restaurants before, and this one is more than adequate!

Great place, candy wall a bit dry but the lunch is very affordable!

I ate there for the first time last week, and it was incredibly disappointing compared to what you pay for the worst all-you-can-eat ever. It's disgusting, you can't call this all-you-can-eat, everything was empty, the grill wasn't worth it, the Chinese guy dropped my pancakes and just served them, and there was no sushi at all. It's a disgrace that they call themselves a world cuisine restaurant.

Unfortunately, this was the first and last time we've been to Altijd. The staff is grumpy and definitely not talkative. The food was plain, like a cheap Chinese restaurant, and definitely not worth €42.95. For example, carpaccio was just sitting there on a plate, with two slices of nothing on the side, no salad, cheese, pine nuts... nothing! Warning signs everywhere, which also makes you feel uneasy. So, no, not a recommendation from me; more like a rejection.

I found the selection very limited and the quality not the best. I expected more for €42 per person.

World-class restaurants are always terrible! You sit in a draft, the containers are empty, the pepper sauce tasted like diarrhea, the meat was overcooked, the wok was watery, and so on. We booked for 2.5 hours, and after 50 minutes we were back outside. If we'd read the reviews earlier, we would have been warned. So for those who do, it's a waste of money! We saw people walk out after half an hour, even saying the food was inedible!

The Altijd restaurant is an all-you-can-eat concept. It offers a wide variety of choices and qualities. The food from the containers isn't great. The prepared food is fine, and the wok is also excellent. Unfortunately, the restaurant is a bit outdated and not very inviting. It's fine with children, who can enjoy fast food and ice cream. We weren't so impressed. In short, it's not really recommended if you're traveling with just adults. It's not top-notch, but it's edible.

Arrived at 5:30 and got some satay. Empty containers weren't replenished. From 5:30 to 7:30, there was only peanut sauce in the container. There were also many empty containers.

DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! I never write a review, but these people are horrible! When i arrived at the restaurant there was a girl shouting at me, saying my reservation (THATI ALREADY PAID FOR) wasn’t valid. After a few minutes she told my husband she made a mistake and we could go in the restaurant after all. When i asked her for an apology she refused, at this point a man walked in (who wasn’t there before and didn’t know anything about the situation) and started accusing me of all kinds of stuff, saying i should apologize for not having the right reservation?!?!?! And saying my money doesn’t mean anything to them and that my husband could not even have respect for me. I did not get my money back, and did not eat of drink anything.

No atmosphere. It was meant for crowds. Quiet now, but I won't be going there again.

I didn't think it was worth my money. Limited selection of food and desserts. What food was available was tasty. I finished it quickly because of the limited selection. The desserts were empty in the refrigerator. Little sushi, poor refill. You only got two beers or two wines. I'm used to other all-you-can-eat restaurants having beer and wine included in the package. We had to pay extra for drinks afterward. Ultimately, you pay more than other all-you-can-eat restaurants in Rotterdam. Not worth repeating!

We went here for lunch with a group for a birthday party, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The owner spoke rudely to us about our one-year-old child, even though she wasn't crying at all. We found this very disrespectful and inappropriate, especially since other children were crying. Furthermore, the food was very disappointing. It took a very long time to get anything at the grill, which meant we lost a lot of time waiting. The quality of the food was also disappointing. There was also a so-called "candy wall," but it looked very unsanitary. It was terribly hot inside! I saw customers sweating profusely. Overall, most of the food was good, but our previous visits were better. There's so much food, but also dishes that were truly lacking in taste or presentation. The smoked salmon had no flavor, the cured ham with melon and the carpaccio didn't look fresh or appetizing; they seemed to have been thrown onto a plate. I didn't even try them, even though I love those. The pizza wasn't inviting either. There was no sushi with shrimp in it (our favorite). The sushi wasn't great either. I love sushi, but I only had three, which speaks volumes. I had one piece of kibbeling (fried fish), but it was dry and didn't taste like kibbeling at all. I missed any other kind of fish or something. The tenderloin cubes from the grill were delicious, though perhaps a bit too large. There were still plenty of Christmas lights hanging in the windows and flickering at night, which doesn't create a cozy atmosphere in the summer. The staff was very friendly and everything was clean. But unfortunately, I won't be going back. It's not bad, but there are a lot of drawbacks. We've come to expect better from Altijd.

It's just a really expensive Chinese restaurant with a small selection of sushi; it's a miracle that this restaurant still has any customers. The food is simply not good, tasteless, and dry. Little selection and poor service. I definitely wouldn't have bothered eating here again. The candy wall is incredibly unhygienic. Also, the play area was closed, which was the reason we went there with small children, but it fell flat. All in all, you don't need to go here! You're better off driving to Gouda (Atlantis)—much more selection, a good atmosphere, and delicious, plentiful food!

I came here for lunch today with my family using a Socialdeal voucher. It was relatively inexpensive for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Once you've checked your reservations, you can immediately grab a plate and choose what you'd like to eat. As the name suggests, there's a wide variety of food. We mainly had the sushi, which was delicious and replenished frequently. The other food also looked delicious. It wasn't very busy, and the staff were very polite. They cleared the table quickly, allowing you to quickly start the next plate. The highlight was the unlimited bottled soft drinks. Normally, you'd pay full price at such a restaurant, but here you could easily grab another bottle. The two hours available are definitely enough for the dining experience. It's noticeable that there are many negative reviews about this restaurant on Google, but given our experience, this seems unwarranted. In short, a good place for a delicious meal with friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. I will come back again!

This Alkmaar all-you-can-eat restaurant has gone downhill. We arrived at 8:30 PM and were given a discount because we arrived late and couldn't eat for two hours. All the food was lukewarm. Fries, potatoes, etc., were tough. The meat, like the ribeye, was hot and delicious. They were all gone. They were already cleaning up and finishing up. The carpaccio had no sauce or cheese. It was just plain. So terribly disappointed.

Restaurant Altijd is unfortunately not worth returning to. The food is poor quality and tasteless. There's little selection, and the food from the containers is often lukewarm.

Look the food is good and nice but with they grill for you shrimp or another things they give you small portions and the food is good and the service is good but they need to make the portions when they grill a little bit bigger

The pictures on the website looked nice but the reality was very disappointing....it took a long time before the buffet was replenished and the quality was very average. The sushi and sashimi were okay. In terms of ambiance not really a cozy atmosphere, busy, staff unfriendly. Never again!

I went there yesterday with my family and boy what a mess. Firstly, we had to wait 15 minutes because we were not helped by the rude employees and a customer said, "You better go somewhere else because you won't get what you want here." Well, he was right. Then when we were finally helped we went to eat but there was almost nothing left to eat everything was really a big disappointment the only thing that was left was no longer like it used to be many people left and we had an argument with the employees for being rude and we paid 200 euros for that

This afternoon we had dinner at “Altijd”. Just fine from what you can expect from such a restaurant. Enough variety. Everything tasteful. Plates and so on were continuously replaced. It is not All a Carte, but I don't expect that from an All you can eat. Definitely go back here!

We are just driving away from "Always". I don't understand the bad reviews on Google. Had a delicious meal here with Social deal. There was everything! Never missed a beat. The people very friendly. Food was hot. Nice large slip tongues on the record. Tenderloin cubes fine. Ice cream is standard what you get in every World restaurant. More salads would be nice, but not absolutely necessary. A tip: go immediately at half past four. Then you can be sure that there is plenty of fresh food. It is therefore not that busy. After 7 p.m. you may find empty bins, but they will all be replenished. Just be patient.

Terrible world restaurant, it was gross and the interior didn't look like much. Do not recommend this tent.

Kind of a food shed! Lots of people who are too lazy to use tongs that are lying around to scoop up food, and grab it with their hands! Very unsanitary! All-inclusive scenes, people who are afraid of falling short and who brag excessively but don't eat.

Last night (March 1, 2025) I visited this restaurant again with my wife. We made a reservation through social deal, which made a difference on the price (all you can eat & drink). It's not our first time and certainly not the last; We are always (!) impressed by the quality of their food. Whether this is freshly prepared on the grill or wok, or ready-made, it can be served from the many warming containers. Cold dishes are on ice. Yes, there is a time limit, in our case 2.5 hours, but that is more than enough for a pleasant meal. The staff quickly clears away the empty plates and glasses, so that your table remains tidy and is friendly if you have any questions. I am amazed at reviews from others, which are less positive; As written: We come here regularly and happily again! We also have experience with Cathay, which is a good competitor, but in terms of food we think it is TOP here. So RECOMMENDED.

Lunch for 20 euros per person purchased through the provider. Was doable. 2 types of fish and 2 types of meat for the plate. Wok was also tasty. Enough choice from the buffet. Thanks for the super nice 'too good to go box'. We ate delicious noodles and side dishes. We are moving, so it's super handy. We will definitely eat in the restaurant and it's great that you prevent food waste in this way.

World cuisine always well never again for me. First time eating here and also the last time the customer friendly was hard to find. And the food is really not okay, just not good enough. Meat undercooked, vegetables undercooked. Baking soup that does not contain soup. only after 20 minutes finally soup and that was really not tasty onion soup which is just water with onion seriously. really the worst World Kitchen I've been to. had reported this to the boss of the restaurant, well you shouldn't expect much from that. does not take the complaint seriously at all. and he doesn't care at all about the reviews that are posted here. he is really not suited for his position as boss at all. very unfortunate and a waste of money definitely don't recommend it Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews in advance, but if I had, I wouldn't have gone Shame.

Nice to eat a lot together. The food was tasty, except for a few dishes. Among other things, the crispy bacon bami pangang was a less tasty dish, but the chicken dishes were delicious. The service is good and the atmosphere is okay. You have to make it fun together.

De eerste en de laatste keer. Slecht!!! Alles lauw in de bakken, die warmtebron eronder werkte niet goed. Witlof ham/ kaas lag er al een poos , bruine rand eraan, en droog. Overal zat wel een apart smaakje aan. Garnalen[ waar darmkanaal nog in zat] en vis worden opzelfde plaat bereid als vlees, is toch raar!!! After 2 hours, you are kindly asked to leave or pay extra...half the restaurant empty, as if you are going to eat whatever is thrown away anyway, or reused...eat and go, if you like that concept, it is highly recommended

The first time I ate here with a friend, we quickly decided that we really had to eat here with our children. We did this last night with another friend and her kids. 7 children, from six months old to 10 years old. We got a spot where it was not a problem that the children played with each other a bit, others were not bothered by them and we were not completely hidden and we sat quite close to the buffet, so it was not difficult for the children to to get your own food. Questions were answered kindly. There is a lot of choice in terms of food, unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of it. Fries with snacks, sushi, oysters, salmon, etc., grill, wok, nasi, noodles and much more. And very popular with the children: the large amount of delicacies, including; ice cream, donuts, pastries and the 2 chocolate fountains with all kinds of things to dip in them. Non-alcoholic drinks are included in the price and you will receive 2 beer or wine tickets per adult upon arrival. For how much did you spend per person, I clicked on the average, without including the youngest, because that was free. I have added a screen of the prices we paid, but there are also options for 2.5 hours, 3 hours and for lunch. The website is clear and prices and reservations are easy to find. I don't know if this is always the case, but it was pleasantly busy, not packed, but certainly not empty. So I couldn't say whether reservations are always necessary.

What a terrible restaurant, very unhygienic, children throw and grab the food. Most of it was cold, starters in a plastic bag without decoration. Staff drive through the crowded tables with very dirty carts. Nothing is replenished. Coffee machines didn't work. Definitely NOT recommended.

Very tasty restaurant! The tepanyaki and wok were very, very good! The buffet itself too. There was plenty of choice. All in all highly recommended!
