Always good!! Do ask if they make it without salt, if you happen to want that. Otherwise, it might be very salty. Friendly service. Price is fine too.

Went Saturday evening with nine people, heard no complaints, not even from the two teenagers. Highly recommended, worth repeating.

We have been coming here for several years, but they have made some changes recently. - large bottles to fill your glass instead of small bottles. It is cheaper, of course, but as a guest, you are inclined to open a new bottle quickly because the fizz wears off fast(er). - chicken breast has been replaced by chicken thighs... it is cheaper, of course, but really: the meat was truly disgusting. - some dishes have been replaced or are suddenly no longer available (during live cooking). Unfortunately, someone at our place also got sick from the grilled chicken: the chicken was not cooked through properly, and we ended up with a sick person. - steak cubes that are freshly grilled are one of our favorites. This is also of lower quality. We all suffered from meat with a lot of muscle and tendons, and often we couldn't finish it. A shame... because the steak here was always so deliciously tender. We understand that due to price pressure, they are looking for ways to cut costs. But in all honesty: we would rather pay a few euros more per person than have them compromise on quality now. It is better to eat well and get value for money than to buy lower-quality meat now that also makes guests sick (chicken). We hope they upgrade their quality: as mentioned, we prefer to pay a little more for good meat....

I found it to be a very beautiful, neat restaurant. All the dishes I chose tasted good. Well stir-fried, and later also well grilled. Extensive choices for everyone. Friendly staff; they also clear your empty plate/glass quite quickly. Plenty of seating and easily accessible.

We were politely escorted to a table. The staff was friendly. And we had a delicious meal. Worth repeating.

Visited on Sunday, August 2nd at 6:00 PM with my grandchild. What a clean and comfortable restaurant. The staff was helpful and friendly, compliments to them. The food tasted good and was replenished sufficiently. I have no complaints about this restaurant.

I have been here and the customer service is poor. It also stated at the grill that you are allowed 2 choices per person, and I asked for 2 items. The cook then told me that I wasn't allowed to do that because I wouldn't be able to finish it. I find it quite strange that I pay for something I don't get. All the food was dry, and what they show on the website is not what you get!

Please read this! It is a waste of money if you spend it there. We went out to eat with 4 people. We called ahead to ask if they had oysters, because we were craving them. Arrived at 8:15 PM (so only a little time), what a letdown. The sushi (only 4 types, only the cheapest ones) is covered in plastic wrap... looks terrible. It just tasted awful... then we tried a rice dish and some meat, but both were really disgusting. I often go to all-you-can-eat places, but this takes the cake. Then, after having had 3 or 4 oysters per person, the owner came to tell us that we weren't allowed to have any more oysters. We ‘have’ to eat something else. Can't just eat fish! Never experienced anything like this before! We finished our drinks and left. The food is disgusting, just looks filthy, not fresh... and the meat is cheap. Upon leaving, I told the owner that I didn't understand why I wasn't allowed to eat what I wanted. He just said, "You are no longer welcome." Very bizarre. I replied that if he runs his business like that, he will be bankrupt within 5 years. His response: "I hope you have a car accident there later." I have truly never experienced anything like this. Outside, another customer told me that his wife wasn't allowed to buy too much meat either. A truly bizarre experience! Please, never eat there... it is a waste of money, really.

I have visited a lot of all-you-can-eat restaurants, but this is truly the worst I have ever seen. I think the best way to describe this restaurant is as a bad Chinese restaurant that thinks it can make money with the concept by adding a few extra items. I ate there on Sunday evening and the place was simply empty. On other review sites, the place gets a star, which in my opinion is justified; compared to other restaurants where the selection is much, much larger, they are just trying to cash in here. I spoke to another customer who was also eating there, and he basically said exactly the same thing. At other restaurants, light alcoholic drinks are simply included for this price, but here, if you want to get a beer, you have to hand in vouchers. But most importantly, the food is of poor quality; you certainly shouldn't go there for the meat, because it is the absolute cheapest of the cheap that you get on your plate. It is also the first time that I simply didn't finish my meat twice because it was full of nothing but muscle. It is really very bad. Moreover, if you need to go to the toilet, you have to go up a flight of stairs, so people with mobility issues shouldn't go at all, and then you end up in a very filthy, stinking room that is not cleaned, or not cleaned sufficiently. I don't understand how restaurants like this still exist.

I came to eat at this restaurant with my wife today. But it was a huge, deep disappointment. My wife was at the grill and wanted to order four different types of fish. The male staff reacted so rudely and unfriendly, saying "take everything," as if we were being taken for a ride. Very antisocial behavior too, with his loud voice speaking to us. I had ordered a pancake. I went to check if my pancake was ready, but another male member of staff hadn't even made it. He acted as if he wasn't interested. I saw the sushi plate was empty and pointed this out to the staff. They also reacted so bluntly, saying "that's all." He didn't even bother to refill the sushi plate. A very bad experience. It is a real shame that we had to go through this. I will never recommend this restaurant to my family or friends. You don't get a warm feeling. You don't feel at home at all. I also saw the owner getting into an argument with a customer. That isn't friendliness, nor is it service-oriented. As far as I know, the customer is king.

Great food and drinks, friendly staff.

First time, and definitely the last. If you arrive early (9 min), you have to wait until 5:00 PM. Most of the food is lukewarm/cold. Clearing dirty plates also takes a long time.

I traveled for over 45 minutes today, only to be told upon arrival that the cook had left early, meaning there was no Too Good To Go available. This was not communicated in advance and resulted in unnecessary travel time and fuel consumption. Other visitors after me also left empty-handed. The restaurant showed little willingness to find a solution. The only alternative offered to me was to return tomorrow evening, but this is not feasible for me. I find this a disappointing situation and hope for a suitable solution.

I ordered a To Good To Go here. Upon picking it up, it turned out there was no food, and the comment was "just come back tomorrow." This is obviously not an acceptable solution! 40 minutes in the car, wasted fuel, and no food. Why was this To Good To Go even put online?

You get grilled and wok dishes with a liter of oil on your plate. Gross. And your sushi is inedible too.

It just isn't quite right, even at a reduced rate. Refills are delayed, the presentation is pathetic, the entire dessert section looks like it came from a wholesaler, and there is little atmosphere. And serving an adult man 2 scallops as a portion—surely that’s just not right?! If you want to take a group out for dinner, you feel vicarious shame. Pay a bit more and look elsewhere.

Good value for money and plenty of choice.

Didn't have a nice experience at that restaurant. We stood waiting like a herd of animals at 5:00 PM to be served and allowed inside. Doors kept opening and closing, causing a constant draft. The food that was available was fine. Nothing special in terms of taste sensations. There wasn't much choice. With the name "world cuisine," I had expected something different. No straws with drinks, but there were with slush puppies. These straws had been cut in half (inflation?). In short: I wouldn't spend your money here; just go to the McDonald's, KFC, or Subway next door instead ;)

I want you to listen to me sincerely. This was, no joke, one of the dirtiest restaurants I have ever been to. Literally, the food you get here is seriously RE-COOKED. It is NOT fresh. For example, I ordered battered fish and pasta; it was so gross and rancid, you could just taste that it had been sitting there for at least two days. The desserts, the fish, and the meat, all RE-COOKED. They don't even make fresh; it just keeps getting reheated. Seriously, so gross. Don't go here. You'd be better off coming to my house; I make better food for you than these bad people. They are nice, to be honest, but some just look at you weird and answer your questions as quickly and dryly as possible 😂 I don't think they get paid much. Once again, don't go. I told you so.

We had a delicious meal here. The sushi and griddle-grilled beef tenderloin were especially delicious. The acoustics and background nature sounds are pleasant. Nice vibe. Everything is very clean and tidy.

Additionally, the staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming, which did not improve the atmosphere. We even got the feeling that we were being rushed out the door because we had to leave. There was absolutely no cozy or relaxed atmosphere. For me, certainly not a place to return to.

Very disappointing experience at this all-you-can-eat restaurant. There was hardly any food available: no sushi, no oysters, and not even fries. The buffets were largely empty, even though we had to pay the full price. This is absolutely not what you expect from an all-you-can-eat concept. A huge disappointment. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Never again for us — you'd better choose another restaurant!

Had a delicious meal, small but nice

This restaurant is very close to my home. My son had his birthday party here at noon today. The front desk and every waiter/waitress provided excellent service. The chef cooked the dishes quickly and the food was delicious. The prices were reasonable.

All-you-can-eat concept, had a tasty meal; you can also get wok dishes there, particularly the choice between Chinese, Indian, and European. The selection isn't huge, but I certainly had a good meal. Since it's an all-you-can-eat concept, there is a warning about food waste, though that doesn't always deter customers. At times it can be quite busy, so it's not always easy to sit quietly and enjoy your food. Quite regularly, there's a takeaway cart clattering with crockery right next to you, or other people standing right next to the table chatting instead of leaving. Not bad for an all-you-can-eat, though the price was a bit on the high side. I know others that offer a bit more ambiance and peace for less money.

It's a "food shed," but a very nice one. Good food, friendly staff. The tables are well-spaced, so you still have your own space in a large room. Spirits are rationed, which I appreciate. Soft drinks are freely available. #recommended

Sorry to report this; the first time I went there was unfortunately also the last. Maybe also because I'm used to going to Atlantis. The warming trays dried out the food, making it hard and chewy, and you can taste that. We only had two helpings. I could type a whole list, but I don't think it's necessary. Long story short, it's not my go-to place. The staff was nice, which I also find very important.

You make a reservation for 5:00 PM and then you stand in the cold and draft for half an hour before you're seated at your table. Then, your receipt says you have from 5:28 PM to 7:58 PM, and then a woman comes with another receipt with the end time crossed out, only giving you until 7:30 PM. 20% less time, but you still have to pay for 100% of the time. Then there's the idiotic guy behind the teppanyaki counter, acting like he has to pay for the meat and fish out of his own pocket. You get two choices. If you ask for two sole, he says no, but if you ask for one sole and shrimp, you can. If you say anything, you get burnt scallops and a fallen-apart sole. He also doesn't pay attention to whose turn it is. My son waited for over 30 minutes before he finally got something to eat. They should put that guy in law enforcement or parking enforcement or something. The food was generally good.

I ate here yesterday with my girlfriend and our two children (7 years and 6 months). The welcome wasn't warm enough upon arrival, but the worst came when I asked at the bar where I could rinse my baby's bottle. The owner immediately reacted with irritation and a snappy tone. He said it wasn't possible at the bar and then walked me to the sushi restaurant, making unsolicited and condescending comments about how I should care for my child ("I don't understand why you don't bring a spare bottle, it's not normal"). He also remarked that "real Dutch people are always so annoying and difficult." This statement struck me as discriminatory and derogatory, and it's completely inappropriate in a restaurant. I asked him not to interfere with my child's care. My girlfriend also indicated that his attitude and comments were unacceptable. The same man glared at us for the rest of the evening. Extremely unprofessional behavior, especially from someone who owns the restaurant. In addition, the food was lukewarm, several buffet trays were empty, the all-you-can-eat menu was limited, and the staff was unfriendly. You don't feel welcome at all, especially not as a family with young children. I would strongly advise against it and spend your money at a restaurant where you do feel welcome and the price is worth it :-)!

We went there for dinner tonight with four people, but unfortunately, everything was disappointing. It was the worst all-you-can-eat and drink menu available. There were only three types of sushi, and I could literally count the number of sushi on my fingers, and they weren't refilled. The wok and grill were also worse. I asked the man behind the sushi bar why they don't have a different variety of sushi, and why they have so little. He said their boss doesn't allow them to make other types of sushi and refill them. Despite several attempts over two or five hours to serve the sushi, there was no way. I went to the owner to ask the same question, and he told me the sushi was empty because customers were eating too much sushi, and if they also had cheese soufflé and fries, there would be enough sushi for everyone. And I was constantly being told that customers were eating too much, and at one point my children, aged 12 and 10, didn't dare go back for another order. A gentleman in line at the wok next to me had a question about a sauce, and the cook gestured with his finger to be quiet and not to ask any further questions. Upon leaving, the owner told the children they could only take a candy, which again felt like the all-you-can-eat-and-drink concept wasn't really in place. The staff weren't always friendly, and by the end of the evening it was so cold that I had to put on my coat inside. I'll never go back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone to avoid disappointment.

First and last time. The food was nothing special; a few dishes were good, but other similar restaurants had much more choices. We had until 7:58 PM, and already at 7:56 PM a server came to tell us our time was up. Sorry, but this is simply unacceptable. I've never experienced this in any other similar restaurant.

On Christmas Day, we ate there for the first time with family. We found it terribly cold there, and the food was cold and some dishes were too salty. And then there was the whistle afterward, in other words, you have to get lost because the other group is coming. We won't be going back there again.

Worst All You Can Eat restaurant ever. I never write reviews, but I couldn't resist this one. For Christmas, you expect a Christmassy atmosphere, and it wasn't at all. Everyone was freezing all evening. No heating, just a draft. Tables weren't even properly set. Customer service was poor. The chefs were friendly, but that was about it. Almost all the food was cold, old, too tough, too salty, or too sweet. Little choice. And then you have to go to the restroom. That's upstairs. Either the wind blows in from outside or it must have been a very powerful air conditioner. Just when everyone was starting to relax, a loud alarm sounded, signaling everyone to leave. I've never experienced this in a restaurant. And that for €55 per person during the Christmas holidays! Outrageous.

The quality is very disappointing, there are many empty bins, they are rarely replenished and the toilets do not look good and need maintenance.

The food is cold, and if you say anything about it in a normal way, the chamberlain/owner gets angry. He immediately wants you to leave. I tell the man, if you turn on the heat lamps, the top will stay warm, but he said angrily, "I was looking for it." I say no, I think it's a shame. It's tasty, but cold.

We ate here on Friday evening at 5 pm with six people (parents, grandparents, and grandparents) through Social Deal. Everything was well stocked, nice and fresh, and hot! (I can't find it in the negative reviews here at all, but maybe they were just unlucky: too many people, too few staff!?!) Variety of food, including fresh sushi, stir-fries, a grill plate, and a variety of fish and meat options. Desserts weren't a huge selection, but they were fine. Three beers/wines per person were fine (they don't want drunk people, which is understandable). The staff was friendly and helpful. We've been to Verschillend all-you-can-eat restaurants before, and this one is more than adequate!

I ate there for the first time last week, and it was incredibly disappointing compared to what you pay for the worst all-you-can-eat ever. It's disgusting, you can't call this all-you-can-eat, everything was empty, the grill wasn't worth it, the Chinese guy dropped my pancakes and just served them, and there was no sushi at all. It's a disgrace that they call themselves a world cuisine restaurant.

Unfortunately, this was the first and last time we've been to Altijd. The staff is grumpy and definitely not talkative. The food was plain, like a cheap Chinese restaurant, and definitely not worth €42.95. For example, carpaccio was just sitting there on a plate, with two slices of nothing on the side, no salad, cheese, pine nuts... nothing! Warning signs everywhere, which also makes you feel uneasy. So, no, not a recommendation from me; more like a rejection.

World-class restaurants are always terrible! You sit in a draft, the containers are empty, the pepper sauce tasted like diarrhea, the meat was overcooked, the wok was watery, and so on. We booked for 2.5 hours, and after 50 minutes we were back outside. If we'd read the reviews earlier, we would have been warned. So for those who do, it's a waste of money! We saw people walk out after half an hour, even saying the food was inedible!

The Altijd restaurant is an all-you-can-eat concept. It offers a wide variety of choices and qualities. The food from the containers isn't great. DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! I never write a review, but these people are horrible! When i arrived at the restaurant there was a girl shouting at me, saying my reservation (THATI ALREADY PAID FOR) wasn’t valid. After a few minutes she told my husband she made a mistake and we could go in the restaurant after all. When i asked her for an apology she refused, at this point a man walked in (who wasn’t there before and didn’t know anything about the situation) and started accusing me of all kinds of stuff, saying i should apologize for not having the right reservation?!?!?! And saying my money doesn’t mean anything to them and that my husband could not even have respect for me. I did not get my money back, and did not eat of drink anything.

No atmosphere. It was meant for crowds. Quiet now, but I won't be going there again.

I didn't think it was worth my money. Limited selection of food and desserts. What food was available was tasty. I finished it quickly because of the limited selection. The desserts were empty in the refrigerator. Little sushi, poor refill. You only got two beers or two wines. I'm used to other all-you-can-eat restaurants having beer and wine included in the package. We had to pay extra for drinks afterward. Ultimately, you pay more than other all-you-can-eat restaurants in Rotterdam. Not worth repeating!

We went here for lunch with a group for a birthday party, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The owner spoke rudely to us about our one-year-old child, even though she wasn't crying at all. We found this very disrespectful and inappropriate, especially since other children were crying. Furthermore, the food was very disappointing. It took a very long time to get anything at the grill, which meant we lost a lot of time waiting. The quality of the food was also disappointing. There was also a so-called "candy wall," but it looked very unsanitary. The playground was also closed and inaccessible, and the place looked unkempt with broken chairs and items that weren't safe for children. All in all, this wasn't a pleasant experience. It's a shame, because we had hoped for a pleasant afternoon with the group, but we won't be returning.

It was terribly hot inside! I saw customers sweating profusely. Overall, most of the food was good, but our previous visits were better. There's so much food, but also dishes that were truly lacking in taste or presentation. The smoked salmon had no flavor, the cured ham with melon and the carpaccio didn't look fresh or appetizing; they seemed to have been thrown onto a plate. I didn't even try them, even though I love those. The pizza wasn't inviting either. There was no sushi with shrimp in it (our favorite). The sushi wasn't great either. I love sushi, but I only had three, which speaks volumes. I had one piece of kibbeling (fried fish), but it was dry and didn't taste like kibbeling at all. I missed any other kind of fish or something. The tenderloin cubes from the grill were delicious, though perhaps a bit too large. There were still plenty of Christmas lights hanging in the windows and flickering at night, which doesn't create a cozy atmosphere in the summer. The staff was very friendly and everything was clean. But unfortunately, I won't be going back. It's not bad, but there are a lot of drawbacks. We've come to expect better from Altijd.

It's just a really expensive Chinese restaurant with a small selection of sushi; it's a miracle that this restaurant still has any customers. The food is simply not good, tasteless, and dry. Little selection and poor service. I definitely wouldn't have bothered eating here again. The candy wall is incredibly unhygienic. Also, the play area was closed, which was the reason we went there with small children, but it fell flat. All in all, you don't need to go here! You're better off driving to Gouda (Atlantis)—much more selection, a good atmosphere, and delicious, plentiful food!

Once you've checked your reservations, you can immediately grab a plate and choose what you'd like to eat. As the name suggests, there's a wide variety of food. We mainly had the sushi, which was delicious and replenished frequently. The other food also looked delicious. It wasn't very busy, and the staff were very polite. They cleared the table quickly, allowing you to quickly start the next plate. The highlight was the unlimited bottled soft drinks. Normally, you'd pay full price at such a restaurant, but here you could easily grab another bottle. The two hours available are definitely enough for the dining experience. It's noticeable that there are many negative reviews about this restaurant on Google, but given our experience, this seems unwarranted. In short, a good place for a delicious meal with friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. I will come back again!

Restaurant Altijd is unfortunately not worth returning to. The food is poor quality and tasteless. There's little selection, and the food from the containers is often lukewarm.
