Beautiful restaurant at the entrance to a wooded area with ample parking. The food is very good.

It was very busy. Nice! We had the steak, but we didn't find it very tender. Maybe the wrong cut.

We had a delicious meal here with our family. What we were disappointed about, however, was that we could only place our order after well over an hour, while we were sitting there with small children who were tired and hungry. We had deliberately reserved early, but only received our first food after 1.5 hours. Fortunately, we all found it very tasty. It was also very nice that there was a play area for the children that they could easily go to on their own.

Friendly staff and delicious food; it's just a cozy place, no fuss, no Michelin-starred chef, but a good kitchen team, fast and tasty. We enjoyed it 👍

Staff: Friendly and helpful. Food well prepared. I had chicken satay, but found there was a bit little satay and it had a different taste. Different chef? Otherwise, the other people at the table were satisfied; in short: another pleasant experience.

Disappointing, tempura prawns overcooked. I had chosen dry-aged Entrecote and Ribeye medium rare, but it was overcooked and the meat was far from tender. A shame, because I have eaten here often in the past and was always very satisfied then.

Delicious food. Service professional. Service regarding drink/coffee orders was very poor. On two occasions, the person supposed to take care of the drinks so they were ready to be served lost the instructions. So, no drink during the meal, but afterwards. I had to point out myself that the "coffee complete" dessert had not been served, while my table companion had already finished his dessert (ice cream sundae). The serving staff offered an apology. First after the mistake with the drinks; I could accept the apology, but the subsequent mistake with the dessert did not go down well. It is a shame that such a nice evening turned out so unpleasantly.

The best steak I've ever eaten, superb all round. Top chef, and quality meat. The service staff are perfectly coordinated and know what hospitality is all about. If we are in the area, we will definitely come back. Thank you. Danny

Exceptionally friendly and considerate staff. I am pregnant and wanted a steak as a main course. I indicated that I preferred it well done, and that I could let them know if it turned out to be too rare. The staff noticed some hesitation upon the arrival of my dish and provided a new, perfectly prepared steak. I had a delicious meal and received excellent service; you can see that they enjoy their work. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

I was here on vacation just now, but I would find it worth driving here from Amsterdam. Ate here twice in 3 days, highly recommended, and will definitely come back again.

You can't go wrong with drinks. But they more than "make up" for that here with the food. In recent years, I've used this place regularly as a stopover during bike rides. But something always goes wrong. Tasteless salad, asparagus soup without even a hint of asparagus, and last weekend the soup of the day: bell pepper soup with chicken, but without the chicken. But you do pay for it! Smells like a rip-off... This place needs a major overhaul.

Unfortunately, we were unable to get inside. They do have a disabled parking space, but it is surrounded by a gravel bed. I couldn't get the chair out of the gravel. No one thought this through; it is a real shame.

Much better than expected! We wanted to have a quick dinner and we succeeded. We were finished within an hour. Service came at the right moments. The ribs (sweet) were tender. The glaze reminds me of Hoisin, original! It comes from the grill, not the oven. The burger was just good, on a brioche bun.

Personally, I felt there wasn't much choice for a steakhouse; the tenderloin was small, and it came with a small side of fries and coleslaw. I can't say it took long before we managed to catch someone to bring us a new order, but yeah, they had tasty lemonade, but value for money? No, they won't be seeing us again.

A very nice place (American style) to stop for a break during or after a bike ride. We were there for dinner. Attentive and quick service, excellent steak preparation, and they also have dry-aged beef. They really know their stuff! A great selection of dishes, and they even catered for children.

I ordered a burger. It was very greasy, and the fries were tough. That isn't a big deal in itself, but when you charge these kinds of prices for a burger, I really expect better quality. Atmosphere: after all these years, you can still recognize elements of the Chinese restaurant that used to be in this building. Furthermore, it was quite busy, loud, and there were a lot of young children, but what else would you expect during the holidays? There really are better places to eat in Ede.

I had ordered medium-rare, but initially received a steak that was cooked medium-well. Fortunately, the waiter noticed this before I could say anything and immediately provided a new steak, which was cooked perfectly medium-rare. The combination of nachos as a starter and steak as a main course is highly recommended! The fries are refilled unlimitedly, although they were on the hard side. All in all, a pleasant experience and definitely recommended!

A really nice restaurant with a nice American vibe. The staff was good, fun, and polite. Everything looked neat and clean. And the food was super good and tasty. We would love to come back again for a nice meal with the family.

Yesterday was the first and likely the last time we ate here ever. First, they kept us waiting a long time at the entrance. You think to yourself, they must be busy. When the waitress came to ask if we knew what to expect, I asked if we could take a quick look. She never came back after that. She systematically ignored us. After 50 minutes, I spoke to a colleague. The rump steak was lukewarm and not tasty, with bits of sinew in it, and the spareribs, which were supposed to taste sweet, were tasteless. We asked for applesauce, but it didn't come. They sprinkle a spice over the fries that you normally eat with fish. Because of the service, we didn't order dessert. We went to get one in the village. You easily spend 140 euros without a starter and dessert, and that is a real waste of money. We won't be going here again.

Cozy, atmospheric restaurant. It is lovely to sit on the terrace. We had a DELICIOUS meal! The mixed grill for 2 people was very tasty and there was really plenty of meat. The fries and coleslaw can be ordered extra at no additional cost, but we didn't even do that because we had enough. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come back!

The food is okay, however, I think the owner is very rude. Quite expensive for the quality on your plate. He starts discussing staff matters while the customer waits for the table and is downright unfriendly. The wait staff, on the other hand, is very friendly. The gentleman behind the bar must be the owner's son because he wasn't exactly friendly either. The atmosphere gets 5 stars, but that was due to the company and the terrace.

Had a great meal and enjoyed sitting outside; the downside was that it all seemed a bit rushed. The food arrived very quickly (I hear myself saying it’s never good enough, waiting too long, too fast…), but sitting down for a bit and enjoying your drink before the food arrived… would have been nice. Booked a table in advance, so getting seated should have been the simple part. The man who greeted us seemed almost offended when we said we'd rather not sit outside because of the smokers. He was rude and abrupt about it, walked us to a table inside, said nothing, and left. I came close to turning round and walking out. The women working the floor were the opposite: friendly, attentive, and they largely rescued the evening. I ordered the bavette blue and it came out medium. If the kitchen is going to cook it its own way anyway, there's no point asking how I want it done. I didn't send it back, partly because a medium steak doesn't bother me much and partly because this keeps happening in restaurants here in the Netherlands, but a steakhouse of all places should get this right. The food was fine and not much more. A 6 out of 10, which is a low score when "steakhouse" is in the name. To be fair: the atmosphere is pleasant and the toilets were spotless.

We sat outside on the terrace, which was lovely. Friendly staff. My friend had a chicken skewer (with fries and salad). As a vegetarian, I chose the mustard soup and burrata with tomato/paprika salad (that was enough for me). Atmosphere and decor simple and somewhat dated.

We read the recent reviews beforehand. Our previous experiences were fine last year and the year before. We deliberately booked a table at 7:30 PM in the conservatory where we would be less bothered by noise (and young children). When we arrived, it was still very busy. All the tables were full. The staff are friendly, we were served quickly, and didn't have to wait long for our food. The food was delicious, nice and hot partly due to the heated plates, and the fries were fresh and hot from the fryer. Everything was well taken care of, clean, and the food was tasty. To be honest, we don't understand the negative reviews.

The "special T-bone" was pre-sliced, which I found very strange... also experienced some leakage afterwards... not pleasant. Great service, though.

Fine steakhouse. It was a bit of a hassle ordering fries every time, but fine. This steakhouse has a children's play area, but children are not supposed to play there due to noise disturbance. We found this strange. It's also a real shame because the food was great.

Due to the crowds, we had to wait a few minutes before being shown to our table. Once at our table, we were quickly served our ordered drinks. We were given the menu immediately. After looking at the menu, we were quickly assisted with taking our order; within fifteen minutes, we already had our beautiful and delicious piece of meat. It was mentioned that we could ask for the coleslaw and fries free of charge. The staff kept a close eye on whether our drinks were finished and came to ask if we wanted to order anything else. Afterwards, we had a delicious sorbet. All in all, the service was top-notch; they were friendly and knew when to ask, even though it was quite busy. There is sufficient staff. They give you plenty of time, no sense of rush. Not a very extensive menu, but very pleasant if you suffer from decision stress 🤣 plenty of choice. The establishment is tidy and looks clean. The terrace also looks neat and inviting. Ample parking space. All in all, we had a delicious meal and would recommend it.

We ate there with 4 people 2 months ago; the service was friendly, but the food really didn't taste good. It took a long time before we could order from the wait staff, even though it wasn't busy. The meat was dry and tough, and 2 people got sick. We didn't finish a lot of our food. Mice were running across the floor, yuck! I hope this has been resolved by now!

We had a delicious meal, good portions, and you can get extra salad/fries if yours runs out. The kids had lettuce with dressing on their plates; it looks nice but it's a flavor most kids don't like. Do take into account that it takes a while to sit down; the service wasn't the fastest, but they were very helpful. My oldest (7) was really looking forward to the books in the play corner, but unfortunately, they are gone now.

Since we visit Amadeus in Silvolde several times, we went to Amadeus Ede today, which displays the exact same logo. Once inside, the atmosphere is already completely different from Silvolde, but that doesn't mean anything. Until we received the menu.... A completely different menu, which is many times less extensive and, to boot, much higher in price! I ordered the Rumpsteak (as always in Silvolde), and the friendly waitress asked if I wanted a sauce with it. She pointed out the sauces on the menu, and once again, my surprise was great. The sauce even has to be paid for separately! We mentioned that we always stop by Amadeus whenever we are in the Achterhoek, and we thought they were the same establishment or owners. It turns out this has long since ceased to be the case. Only the name and logo remain the same, but that is all. My Rumpsteak couldn't hold a candle to the taste of what I get in Silvolde. The steak was served with fries that were okay, and a bowl of nondescript raw vegetables that had apparently been resting in the kitchen for hours. It was very unappetizing to look at, and I didn't want to take any of it. My partner's burger, however, was good. It was also more expensive, by the way. This will be a one-time visit for us here.

It was a huge disappointment. We are real meat lovers, so we really wanted to eat here. My husband and I had the carpaccio as a starter, which had very little flavor. The meat also looked very light. My mother had the fried prawns, which were okay but not particularly tasty. For the main course, I had the beef tenderloin skewer, which I wanted medium. It was more medium rare than medium, and moreover, it wasn't hot. It had already cooled down a bit, but I didn't feel like waiting for a new one, so I ate it. My husband was very disappointed with the €64.95 T-bone. Little flavor, lots of fat, and the meat was also badly cut off the bone. For something so expensive, you would expect it to be served a bit better. The fries we received were also lukewarm, so we got new ones. It didn't feel like a cozy dining experience, just a food factory. The food arrived quickly and the staff was friendly, but everything was very fast and rushed. Didn't have a nice evening. The table next to us ordered something and had their food within 8 minutes. Another table of 8 had their food except for one person. Only when that person complained did they come from the kitchen with the forgotten hamburger. The interior is very old-fashioned and it just didn't look neat. Especially when I have to pay €233, I expect something from it, but that was a huge disappointment. Definitely not worth repeating.

After a day at Ouwehand Zoo, we decided to have dinner here as a festive conclusion. Our three children were very enthusiastic and playing in the play area; as you might expect from children, this was accompanied by the necessary noise—they are children, after all. A family without children apparently found this very annoying and asked for another spot (understandable). We were asked if our children would please be quieter (the children were playing pleasantly for their standards, but mainly enthusiastic in their tone of voice). Because we had felt like we were being stared at for a while, we asked for the bill and paid. We’ll get an ice cream at McDonald's instead; the atmosphere there is more pleasant than here. It is truly a shame. We have never felt so unwelcome with our children as we did here. The worst part is that the children clearly noticed this themselves.

Nice American diner-style restaurant. Good steaks, good sides. The decor is heavily focused on The Blues Brothers and/or the rock 'n' roll era. The service is very quick and friendly. Good beer selection. A bit on the pricey side, though.

We had a delicious meal at this steakhouse. The dishes were well-seasoned, the atmosphere was nice, and it was well-decorated. In particular, we would like to mention Inge's spontaneous and friendly hospitality. :) We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We initially wanted a 3-course menu, but according to the waitress, the kitchen couldn't switch from tomato soup to mustard soup. So we just ordered everything separately. A mustard soup, The Famous Amadeus Burger, and an ice cream dessert afterwards. Including drinks, it worked out cheaper than the 3-course menu. Basically, they missed out on a bit of money due to the kitchen's inflexibility. But despite that, the burgers were incredibly tasty. So otherwise, nothing to complain about!!!

Nice people! A cheerful man with a sense of humor served us! Sometimes when they brought drinks, they didn't take back the old glasses and such, so the table quickly became completely full. It was busy, of course, but that actually seems more efficient to me. The food was tasty! For the price, we had expected a bit more. The restaurant itself looks very cozy! We also often go to Jack's Grillhouse in Nieuwegein. A bit similar, but with Texas vibes! Also very nice!

The food was fine. Everyone enjoyed it. Unfortunately, upon arrival, no one asked about the allergy to flavor enhancers that had been indicated in advance. After inquiring in the kitchen, it turned out to be in the fries seasoning after all. An apology was offered for this afterwards, though. Fortunately, it ended well, but it could easily have gone differently. And that would have been a serious matter.

Nice steakhouse with good food at a reasonable price. Terrace and indoor seating are available, and the service is quite informal; truly a place to go out for a nice meal after a bike ride or just like that.

We were there for the first time on Father's Day. We could choose between inside or outside. There is air conditioning inside, so it was nice and cozy. The service was good; she was knowledgeable and friendly. The starters were good, and the main courses were too. We will definitely come back.

Spareribs from Sligro felt like sponges and the taste wasn't much better. With the steak, I wonder if it has ever seen a fire. Fries (if you can call them that) mealier than McDonald's. This restaurant has gone downhill fast, unfortunately. Update June 13... It has become a nasty woke mess here. It has become Dutchified. The atmosphere was good, though.

We ate out twice during a week's vacation. Very good meals. We had the mixed grill. Deliciously tender meat. The staff were very accommodating regarding my dietary needs. Excellent. Instead of fries and bread, we received extra vegetables.

Amadeus has a nice, authentic American atmosphere with flags, photos, and signposts. The restrooms are clean, although they do feel a bit dated. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately slow. It took a while to get us to our table, and then we had to wait a long time for both the drinks and the menu. The appetizer — warm, crispy bread with mayo and easily spreadable herb butter — was very tasty. The main course (dry-aged ribeye at €38 for 250 grams) was disappointing. The meat was served, but the side dishes didn't arrive until 5 minutes later, meaning the meat had already cooled down. I had ordered medium, but it was almost well-done and very tough; the blunt knife didn't help matters. The coleslaw lacked flavor, the shrimp were just slightly overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were sticky instead of fluffy. I pointed this out immediately and was politely given a new portion, but I left the rest because I was hungry. The asparagus was good, though. All in all, fine for satisfying hunger on the road, but I don't need to come back here. Plus point: you can pay with Amex.

Expensive and not very tasty. That is a combination that means we won't be coming back. It started with the menu; little choice in dishes that are even remotely affordable. So you are basically condemned to a hamburger. The children ordered that, and besides that, we had spare ribs and a beef tenderloin skewer. But there was an aftertaste to every dish. Hard to pinpoint, but it was somewhere between a smoky flavor and BBQ sauce. Not tasty. The decor and service were fine.

We ate here for the umpteenth time with 6 people, but this was definitely the last time. The carpaccio was very bad, tough and tasteless. The meat was lukewarm and not tasty, with sauces that were also tasteless. The service also left much to be desired; they leave the plates sitting for a long time, clear a few, and then wait another ten minutes to clear the rest. Consequently, we didn't order dessert. We spoke about this dinner the next day and agreed that we are not going back here.

We were served a fatty and tough sirloin steak here for 55 euros. We had ordered a ribeye and received a much larger piece than ordered, cut incorrectly. Unfortunately, this was probably the last chunk, which was incredibly tough and fatty. Only a small amount of it was eaten. The others were both sick with stomach pains during the night. I think it is a shame that you get such poor cuts of meat for so much money. The service was very quick and friendly. They really need to do something about the mice soon; there were a lot of them running across the floor.

Good service, but my tenderloin was almost cold when I received it and way too raw, even though I had ordered medium.

We wanted a nice, relaxed night out. We were back outside within 40 minutes. They work incredibly hard. The limited menu isn't necessarily bad, but it leaves little room for adjustment. No culinary surprises, just solid food. And then countless emails following up asking for a review… so here it is.

Good food, good service, and a large building with real American style (70s-80s)

Very good service from the wait staff, but above all, good cuisine. For dessert, I ordered a Dame Blanche, the chocolate sauce of which was made from real chocolate and not from a bottle like most do. The mixed grill for 2 people was prepared perfectly. One minor flaw was excellently rectified, although that was really not what we were looking for. Highly recommended for a visit if you want to enjoy a very good meal. My sincere compliments with a deep bow, and I don't do that often.

We had a delicious meal. A pleasant atmosphere. We had the nachos as a starter. One portion is more than enough for one person, so we shared it between the two of us and that was no problem. We also had a baguette on the side. For the main course, we chose the mixed grill. Delicious bavette, and I have never eaten such tasty pulled pork! We were also in the mood for prawns, so we ordered those as well, and they were delicious too, with plenty of garlic. Because of the generous portions, we didn't feel like having dessert. So we finished with a coffee. The service was extremely friendly, and we sat there for about two hours and were able to eat at our leisure.

Friendly people, and the restaurant is nicely decorated. However, we found the food very disappointing. The portions were quite small. And my husband and I both had a hamburger that was still quite raw on the inside. Not 'rare', but just thoroughly raw. The coleslaw was tasteless. Only the fries were edible, but we didn't get very many of them. All in all, a letdown, especially considering the price you have to pay afterwards.
