I come here regularly and it is a delight every time! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. You can tell that attention and care are put into both the food and the service. A lovely place I love coming back to. Definitely recommended if you want to enjoy a nice meal in a cozy atmosphere! 😊🍽️

Unfortunately, we cannot share much about this restaurant. We really wanted to go there for lunch. That didn't happen. First, we were asked if we wanted something to drink. This was taken down, and the question was asked if we were also having a bite to eat. We did want that and indicated this. Unfortunately, no one ever came to ask what we wanted to eat. We waited for more than half an hour to pass on our lunch wishes. We finished our drinks and therefore wanted to pay. This time, too, no one came to us, even though we had indicated that they would. Out of frustration, we went inside to pay. It took a long time to pay there as well. All in all, this was a bad experience at Juffrouw Tok…….

We have been coming for years—I think about 20 years—not monthly, but twice a year. What is always disappointing is the speed… So we always order the starter first, and then we often pretend we don't “know” what the main course is yet, just so we can sit a bit longer. Chicken is always super! Fries could be served more sparingly in front of the table and not in one big bowl for 5 or 6 people. Furthermore, it is very noisy in the main hall, but it isn't fine dining. I go there for the chicken and not necessarily for the atmosphere, because there isn't any ;) It's a food factory haha

The food is fine, but the service has really deteriorated!

At Juffrouw Tok, absolutely no attention was paid to the guests. The staff stood close together constantly, looked at us, but did nothing. After waiting 42 minutes without any form of service, we left. This is absolutely not how hospitality is supposed to work. Do not go here!

We ordered coffee from a young lady. A little later, an older lady came over who also asked what we wanted to drink. When I told her that we had already ordered coffee, this lady asked, "Don't you want anything to eat with it?" She kept talking about it for a while. In my opinion, she was too pushy.

Of the 4 orders, 2 were not what we ordered (chicken put on the receipt incorrectly instead of salmon, carpaccio without the bread roll). When we pointed this out, no apologies were offered, but a more expensive variant was charged. The carpaccio was watery. Not a lunch or atmosphere to visit this place again. The experience was disappointing.

Reservations made no difference, a long queue, waiting half an hour for a drink, after 1.5 hours we asked when we could expect the food. A bone-dry chicken fillet, a young man who brought the drinks, we suspect he couldn't talk........... Just as we were leaving, we heard the ladies were proud that they had made it again...........

The food wasn't really tasty. The chicken and fries were warm, but I ordered chicken skewers and the portion was very small. It's not really a place I would return to regularly.

Good food, fine, nothing special but just fitting the concept. Portions are good! Friendly staff. The location is good, plenty of parking space, but it is on a busy road, so if you sit outside, I would prefer to sit further away from the road. A downside for me was that it wasn't clear beforehand that smoking was allowed on the terrace. Unfortunately, we ended up sitting among people who were smoking, and that is definitely a no-go for me when dining out. In short, it would be better if they indicated in advance that smoking is permitted and that you then have the choice to sit in a smoke-free section of the terrace or inside.

We had another delicious meal at Juffrouw Tok in Ede. Very friendly welcome from the staff, tasty food and affordable, highly recommended.

Super tasty, fast service and reasonable prices

We had a delicious meal here! The chicken piri piri was truly fantastic: tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. Despite it being very busy, there was a cozy atmosphere with nice live music. The service was friendly, quick, and attentive. We stayed at Camping Ginkel Zuid, right behind the restaurant, so the location was ideal for us. After reading some negative reviews, we were a bit hesitant, but we do not recognize them at all. We would like to refute them here. Our experience was actually incredibly positive. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely time sitting in the conservatory here. The service was prompt; not all staff were Dutch, but we were asked if that was okay during conversation in English. We had a delicious meal, the portions were generous, there were plenty of fries, and the corn on the cob as a side dish was a good choice. Don't expect culinary masterpieces, but the price reflects that. With good company, you can have a nice and affordable meal here.

I wanted to eat at my leisure; the chicken is mediocre and the service is poor. On top of that, I was constantly staring at playing staff while I ate. The staff were either hanging around each other or pelting each other with ice cubes.

We ordered a chicken piri piri that was very dry and tough; we ordered extra piri but this didn't help. The schnitzel had little flavor and wasn't very tasty. The fries and the baguette were good, though. The service was in English, which didn't come across as entirely professional to us. We had empty glasses on the table for a long time that nothing was done about. Juffrouw Tok Scherpenzeel is definitely the better option for me!

I ate here with a few friends and it was great. The chicken was delicious, we sat comfortably on the terrace, and the atmosphere was relaxed. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are more than sufficient. The service was friendly and the food and drinks were on the table quickly. Nothing to complain about, I will definitely come back here again.

Lovely large terrace, live background music, very friendly service, and the food is yet to come. Schnitzel just like I know them from Austria. Large, tender, and with a good slice of lemon. The sauce was good and plentiful. Desserts were a bit more ordinary, but still good. Top marks to Juffrouw Tok.

In this restaurant, you eat chicken the way chicken should be. Not only is the chicken delicious, but so are the salad and the fries! The staff is very friendly and attentive. If you are in the area, be sure to go there for a delicious meal!!!!!

We went with 12 people. The food was great, and since we were a group of hearty eaters, no one had expected such quantities. The service at a large table left absolutely nothing to be desired.

We ate there on Father's Day with 5 people and had a baby chicken piri piri and chicken satay, all very tasty. It was a very hot day.. service was super friendly… highly recommended, the chicken was really very good !!!

After 25 years of enjoying delicious meals here at Tok Ede with amazing and friendly service, we are saying goodbye. After the takeover, it was exactly the opposite. Our discount card was no longer accepted, and we were snapped at with the words "we don't need your custom." Fortunately, there are still very friendly Toks left, but never again in Ede.

Super tasty chicken, tasty chicken soup, and delicious fries. You do have to like gnawing on bones. Or you have to eat chicken breast.

Tried it out based on the reviews and gift cards. You would expect better chicken from a chicken restaurant. It was dry, strangely cut into pieces, with a pool of grease and not a nice crispy skin. Tasted good in itself, but could be much better. Desserts were tasty. Service was okay. Good for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The sun was shining, so we enjoyed a meal on the terrace. The food was good. The service was a bit disorganized, but friendly. And what to do with the leftover chicken? We were offered to take it home in good packaging.

We had a delicious meal at Juffrouw Tok. We were there for my mother's birthday. She was put in the spotlight that evening.

The reception started poorly: the hall is very dark, and it was unclear whether we were given a menu or had to order via a QR code. The first waiter barely noticed us. Additionally, various staff members were constantly wandering around with food, unsure which table to go to. This creates an unsettling feeling. Fortunately, the attentive waitress with the dark curls made up for a lot; she was very engaged! Finally, what bothered us was that dogs were allowed at the table. Not on the floor, but on the chair or even on the table, which is very unhygienic. Unfortunately, the food was not a success. The fact that the chicken was bone-in meat was not stated on the menu, and the meat was very dry and swimming in grease. The schnitzel was okay, but nothing special. Not worth repeating for dinner.

Ah, after some time, we went to eat at Juffrouw Tok again today, on Ascension Day. Just after dinner, it was still super busy. The food is always good. The dessert, the Tarta Fantastica, was amazing......

The food was delicious once again. The service is not super customer-friendly: Rushed, not genuinely friendly, and does not take the time. They have no eye for a pleasant evening out for dinner, do not clear the table but ask every other minute if you want to order more drinks (the glass is barely empty), constantly dart around the tables asking if everything is to your liking, and while your mouth is still full, the question is asked multiple times as if they need to hurry. This confirms the rushed feeling of a food factory. The main course was placed at the table along with the starter. Nice little gifts for the children and the food is delicious, but we will stick to ordering and pick-up again. Thank you very much!

The people who work there are really super friendly. The atmosphere is good, it is comfortable, and the food is fine. But I want to emphasize the service orientation.

We had a delicious meal in good company. We had the three-course chicken menu, and it was more than enough and excellent food.

Due to a miscommunication, the food was later than expected, but that was resolved well with a free drink. One of the dishes wasn't good, and that was also resolved well by the staff. Otherwise, everything was satisfactory and the food was good. Definitely recommended.

I find the price-quality ratio excellent. Small, simple menu. Don't expect high-end culinary dishes, but what you get is good and served very quickly. Meat well cooked, not dry. Very child-friendly, but therefore also noisy. There is a huge amount of space, but they seem to handle it just fine. Friendly staff. Some mistakes were made (wrong dishes served) but that was resolved properly.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't really at the right temperature, and the young gentleman serving us unfortunately didn't seem very enthusiastic. We are used to Didam, and it is truly many times better there.

What a super restaurant, incredibly good chicken. For a reasonable price. The service was amazing too! We walked in around 5:00 PM without a reservation, with 9 people. We were lucky here; 15 minutes later there was quite a long line. Next time I would definitely make a reservation, I didn't know it was so busy here.

We usually go to Juffrouw Tok in Scherpenzeel; this time we decided to try Ede, but it was very disappointing. We had made a reservation but still had to wait 20 minutes in a long line. Finally seated at the table, our drinks order was taken, and they arrived quite quickly. The starter also came within 10 minutes, but we had only finished half of the soup when the main course arrived. By the time we could start on that, the chicken had already cooled down. All in all, we were back outside after just an hour. Waiting a long time for your order isn't good, but this went very fast. The service was very friendly, though, and the chicken was tasty.

We unexpectedly went to eat here. It had probably been 15 years since we were last here. But nothing has changed. Still nice. For starters, we had the soup and chicken cocktail; these were fine. For the main course, we had a chicken schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce; this was very tasty. Unfortunately, the chicken stew in stroganoff sauce was cold. It is served in a nice cast-iron pot. Unfortunately, the pot is not heated up, so the stew was almost completely cold right away. A pity, because the taste was good. The chicken fillet with mushroom cream sauce tasted better than it looked. All in all, we had a good meal.

What a cozy place this is. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. We had delicious chicken piri piri with fries, a tasty tomato and onion salad, and stewed pears. The prices are very competitive. They have an incredible number of nice beers on tap, such as Texels, Affligem, and even an Ede beer. There is also plenty of choice by the glass for wine, which surprised us for a restaurant like this. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a delicious meal at a great price! We will be back soon!

We have eaten here often, but the chicken piri piri was incredibly bland; it seemed like there was nothing on it. No spices and nothing. The chicken was almost tough. All the piri piri eaters thought so. The only one who enjoyed their meal was the one who had the spare ribs. The food came out super fast, so we were back outside within 45 minutes and 85 euros poorer. It was a real disappointment.

We've been customers for over 14 years. We're always happy to return. We receive a gift card every year. Of course, the staff can sometimes be busier than anticipated, but they always find a solution. Excellent value for money.

A typical restaurant for seniors or people with young children. If you're not, stay away! You enter a large, noisy room where everyone runs and shouts. The food quality is poor. The carpaccio was completely tasteless and of poor quality. The chicken stew was completely cold—not lukewarm or slightly warm, but truly cold. The chicken fillet (see photo) couldn't have been presented more pathetically. Side dishes aren't included. If you order chicken piri piri, that's what you get, so no salad or sauce. However, fries are served in a large aluminum tray... Three courses are served within an hour, and then you're out the door again. Still, two stars because the staff works so hard and there are several beers on tap. If you're vegetarian, definitely don't come here because there's only one main course available. I'll never come back here anyway.

Miss Tok certainly deserves the title of the tastiest chicken in the Netherlands! Well-seasoned, deliciously crispy, and all the sauces are freshly made. Highly recommended.

Friendly to families with young children, with a rustic decor and friendly staff. The piri-piri chicken was rather mediocre, with a sour piri-piri sauce. The chicken satay was otherwise fine. We discovered that vitamin-rich dishes (raw vegetables, applesauce, stewed pears, etc.) are optional.

A convenient restaurant if you want a quick meal, especially with small children. After our order was taken, the food was on the table within minutes; two dishes and two children's menus were served within an estimated four minutes. The quality of the food was adequate: nothing special, but not bad either. We arrived at 5:30 PM and were out again at 6:20 PM, which made it feel a bit rushed. On a positive note, the service was very friendly and attentive.

The atmosphere inside is fine. After some time, the waiter arrived, we ordered our drinks, and since we had already made our choice for the food, we ordered that immediately as well. Literally less than 3 minutes later—we hadn't even received our drinks yet—the food was already being served; we had barely settled in, so to speak. Within 40 minutes, we were back outside… Simply bizarre.

For a quick bite, the piri-piri chicken is especially good. Very fast service, making it ideal for (small) children. The children's menu always includes a nice surprise. There's a fun play area both inside and outside.

Staff were very polite and friendly. Apple streudal with spiced warm cider a good combination in the cold. With a fire going and Christmas decorations a lovely place to stop and refresh before continuing our trip.
