A busy restaurant, reservations are recommended. We had made a reservation, but it was not written down. We were lucky that a table became available just then. It was not a pleasant experience to be told upon arrival that no reservation had been noted under your name. Otherwise, the food is good and served in normal portions. There was plenty of everything, and it tasted good... If you are in the area, feel free to step inside; it will not be a disappointment.

Lunch: two sandwiches, one filling, two sandwiches, nothing on them.

We had a nice meal, but we found the drink and dessert prices to be on the high side.

After a long walk, enjoyed a large orange juice and a beer with a few snacks. Good service and a pleasant place to sit.

Very poor service, absolutely not recommended. What a disappointing experience. The service was truly substandard. We had to wait an extremely long time for our food, and in between, there was hardly any form of service or attention for the guests. One of the waitresses was particularly unfriendly and unprofessional. She didn't even seem to know exactly what she was bringing to our table and constantly gave us an attitude as if she had absolutely no interest in the guests. Our ice cream was also forgotten and only brought after we had already asked for the bill. The whole experience felt disrespectful and, frankly, even insulting. We absolutely did not get the feeling that our presence or our order was important. Perhaps it is because there is little competition in this area, but that is no excuse to treat customers like this. In my opinion, a restaurant cannot afford to provide such poor service and then expect guests to happily return. For us, certainly never again. A tip was absolutely not earned here.

The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. The food is more than good. It is also clean and well-maintained and hygienic.

Food good, though on the expensive side: half a chicken, fries with mayonnaise and 1 small lettuce leaf, ⅛ of a tomato, and 1 slice of cucumber with a teaspoon of dressing for €26. The chicken was really tasty, but the raw vegetables could have fit on 2 dessert spoons. Coffee nice and strong. Service friendly. We had 8 unwanted guests with us who came and sat on and around our food. You couldn't eat in a relaxed way because you constantly had to swat away flies. It drove us crazy. We mentioned it to the wait staff and they said they would pass it on. She had already received more complaints about it.

I used to come here regularly with my parents 40 years ago. I'm in the neighborhood again now and had lunch there. Renovated, but still very cozy and delicious.

This was disappointing. It is a food factory with mediocre food at a high price. They get away with this because they receive a lot of tourists. And the service is truly substandard. We had to deal with young waitstaff. That in itself isn't a problem, but they haven't been taught what their job entails. For example: clearing glasses and not taking everything away. The same applied to clearing after the main course: small bowls of mayonnaise and napkins were left lying around. I received a tea bag, which was placed loosely on the table by the server (yuck!). Our main course was served for five people, but the sixth person received nothing. Then we saw 'our' server walking around with food for the next table. Waitstaff need to be more vigilant about that. We had to ask for the sixth course again. The desserts were placed on the table and, without saying a word, we had to push them to the right person. I checked the reviews beforehand, but they give a very distorted, far too positive picture. I don't expect service like that of a Michelin-starred restaurant, but this was not good. The basics are not up to par, and for the price you pay, this should be much better.

A nice place to stop for a bite to eat. Beautiful spot close to the Veluwe. The interior looks nice and there is plenty of space for different groups of people. The staff is friendly and you get served quickly!

A very pleasant surprise in the "fresh" Dutch style, where the customer doesn't feel like royalty at all 😊! The food is quite varied, you can even eat Asian cuisine 🤗! Your laws are very restrictive when it comes to smoking 😏, but unfortunately, the same can't be said for the noise made by children 🥴! In any case, it's a great place for a gourmet break! Highly recommended 😉!

What a delicious lunch!! A long brown baguette with a warm meat special. My husband and I both had the same thing; it was truly perfect. Tasty salad / side dish on the side. We were really full because the sandwich was well-filled. At some places you have to keep the doors closed, otherwise the filling blows right off your bread, but not here!! Absolutely divine. The service was fast; I was really surprised. You don't see that often. The staff was also friendly. Nothing to complain about. Definitely recommended!

Prices are extreme for a glorified snack spot. The waitresses are fine and quite fast, but perhaps it’s just us; however, we find 2 drinks and 2 spring rolls for over €40 excessive for an establishment of this caliber. Let alone a Weizen for €9.50... per 0.5 glass.

Last evening out for dinner of our holiday and unfortunately it was disappointing. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. The seating wasn't close together and the service was friendly. Two letdowns: our aperitif wasn't even half finished and the food was already there. Getting our plates for 3 people with a 5-minute wait between each of us... 🤔 We ordered the pork tenderloin and it really wasn't tasty! Nicely served, but the meat was of inferior quality. Rind doesn't belong in pork fillet. Later in the evening I also suffered from a stomach ache. I think they should serve something Asian since that is their specialty. (The 'meat' visible in the photo is fat or rind...)

I had satay with fries and peanut sauce. The satay wasn't special. The peanut sauce was really not tasty. This doesn't resemble artisanal sauce. It's better at an average chip shop. The fries were good. The dish came with some salad, but it was nothing to write home about. Really disappointing for the price charged. Everything is quite pricey. I don't understand why the reviews are so positive. The staff wasn't very attentive either. No, this was a one-time thing.

This place has a lot of Asian options which are actually pretty well done. The service is friendly and the food comes up very fast. Attached to the restaurant there’s a snack bar where you can get fried food and soft serve 🍦.They have airco which is a huge plus!

We have eaten here a few times. The price of the dishes seems on the high side at first... until it's on the table and you have to eat it all. You get a lot here... a whole lot. And it just always tastes good.

We went here for supper and are very happy with our meal. We had the beef stir fry and chicken satay and both were fresh out of the pan and flavourful. The stir fry was so enjoyable that I wanted to try to recreate it at home!

I ate here with friends last year and it was good. Now in June, I ordered 2 special spring rolls and a tomato soup by phone in the evening. Upon arrival, no one at the takeaway counter said hello to us, and we stood there waiting for a minute without anyone helping us or giving us the food that was already ready. A big fail for customer friendliness. Not greeting us and acting as if we weren't there was embarrassing. Once home, we ate the special spring roll, which didn't look appetizing to begin with. Very disappointed because the spring roll was anything but crispy; due to the large amount of peanut sauce on it, it became very soft. The spring roll itself was poorly filled and had little flavor; clearly not made fresh, and the dough was still raw. After 15 minutes, my husband and I were sitting on the toilet with cramps. All of this is very unfortunate and I am deeply disappointed! I wonder if the owner will respond to this message; I regularly write reviews for hotels and restaurants. I am not a killjoy, but I give my honest opinion.

Visited again after a long time. The menu has gotten smaller, but the choices are still good. The staff were nice. I had the satay, which was tasty. A bit too few fries with the kids' menu. Really only for the youngest kids. For slightly older kids, just order fries. We sat on the terrace and arrived fairly early. It was perfectly bearable. Inside, the air conditioning was on and it was nice and cool. The atmosphere inside is very cozy.

We ate there on Saturday with 8 people, 4 of whom were dissatisfied. The Carpaccio was a plate of lettuce with a few slices of Carpaccio instead of the other way around. We mentioned this, but the response was... "never had any complaints, you can choose something else." That wasn't the point; it was simply too little for the price. I have never seen such a small quantity, unless you call it a salad with Carpaccio slices. The schnitzels were also mediocre. When we asked if we had enjoyed our meal and wanted dessert, we mentioned that half of us were dissatisfied, but nothing was done about it and we were easily brushed off. A shame... The satay and pork tenderloin were fine. Naturally, we had drinks somewhere else after dinner. No second time for us.

An excellent place for a rest stop during a walking or cycling tour in the Otterlo area. Ice cream and snacks, as well as lunch and meals, are available in a charming atmosphere at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Lots of variety in food options. The food was delicious, I had their steak rare, just perfect, comes with fried small potatoes and some garnish. Very nice cocktail choices. Get some bread with herb butter, it's delicious. Soups are so good, like home made but better. Very nice cozy atmosphere with comfortable booths and tables, beautiful flowers, perfect lighting. Service is excellent, friendly staff. You can easily sit there for 3 to 4 hours without waiters constantly bugging you like they do in USA, just different way of doing things, they want you to have a memorable experience, which it was for me.

I visited this restaurant around lunchtime while staying at a nearby hotel. I was alone and looking for some Asian food, as I hadn’t eaten anything yet and was quite hungry. I ordered from the Asian menu (as shown in the photo I took). Here are my thoughts on the dishes: Chicken with vegetables (Stukjes kipfilet met groenten gewokt): 2.5/5 Foe Yong Hai (omelet with tomato/sweet sauce): 2/5 – It was okay, but could be improved Babi Pangang: 3/5 – Alright Kroepoek: 3/5 2 sticks of saté: 3/5 – Tasted similar to supermarket saté Fried rice: 3/5 – Alright The portion size was good and would easily be enough for two people, or even three. I would say the focus is more on quantity than quality. For around €35 for two people, it is acceptable, though slightly expensive for what you get. The staff were casual and polite. The food arrived fairly quickly, within about 10–15 minutes after ordering. Overall, if you’re looking for a nearby Asian restaurant, this place is okay. However, I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re expecting high-end or authentic flavors, as the taste is quite general. Personally, I wouldn’t return, but it may suit someone looking for a simple and filling meal.

A good restaurant that's not too expensive. For takeout, eat there. Been there a few times already. I'm from Waddinxveen myself. That says something.

We only went here for coffee, cappuccino, and apple pie. The cappuccino and coffee were indistinguishable in size. It was a small cup and definitely not a cappuccino. There was no milk foam and it tasted a bit sour. The apple pie tasted like it came from the freezer. Watery and lacking in flavor. Not recommended.

A pleasant stopover with surprisingly good service! On a Friday evening, we were touring and spontaneously came across the charming town of Otterlo. The terraces were pleasantly packed, and the village truly exuded a friendly atmosphere. This caught our attention, so we turned the motorbike around and decided to eat here. Luckily, there was still a table available. We were served quickly and friendly, with drinks on the table and the menu in hand. Despite the crowd, everything went smoothly: the service was prompt, attentive, and well-coordinated. The menu was simple but perfect—no frills, but deliciously prepared. The food was on the table in no time, and it tasted excellent. After a delicious meal and a full stomach, we hopped back on the motorbike and continued our journey. The weather also cooperated, which completed the picture. In short: a lovely place to spontaneously stop by, with a pleasant atmosphere and a kitchen that delivers on its promises. Definitely a place to remember when we're in the area again!

The food is excellent and reasonably priced. However, the service is a bit chaotic. A few helpful tips: If something goes wrong with the order, don't argue with the customer about who's right. In my line of work, the customer is always right, and you resolve the issue. If someone dines alone, treat them as if they're welcome and want to have a pleasant evening. See the person and give them the same attention you would a table of six.

Ordered a carpaccio sandwich today. It was disappointing: 1 brown roll with some carpaccio and a load of lettuce on top. Lettuce, yes, not arugula but lettuce with tomato and egg. This was just as disappointing considering that it also cost €15.
