This is a great spot for a quick drink or coffee. Sometimes you have to wait a while, but that depends on the time of day you're there. Saturday mornings are often quiet, and you'll get your drink quickly. Don't expect anything special or gourmet. We've often had good experiences with lunch, but the children's pizza is more dough than filling or sauce. I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise, it's a pleasant place, and they've definitely had some nicer and better staff lately!

Because my HONEST review is being deleted, it's here again. I never imagined one star would be too much. We knew the service would be a bit slower than usual. Throughout the entire evening (we were there for about 3 hours), we only got two drinks and then the bill. We kept asking if we could order something, but no one came. So, we took turns asking someone else in the group, and again, nothing. No final round, absolutely nothing. They just shoved the bill in our faces. Of course, the girl couldn't help it because her colleague had messed up, but still, this is absolutely not how you should treat guests! - 10/10 experience. Never go to the post office. Absolutely not.

Two years in a row, I've left a 5-star review for the Post Office. However, tonight I'm coming home from a terrible evening at the Post Office and I can't help but point this out to you. What the hell is going on with you?! You've gone from being a nice, cozy place to being to a "never-come-back-again" place. Seriously, after 20 minutes, no one has spoken to you, and there are four staff members chatting at the bar. After half an hour, I asked at the bar if we could order, and the answer was simply "no." I sent someone over, but only after my surprise did they come. Incidentally, it took another 20 minutes for someone to come. After ordering, I didn't see anyone again, despite the empty glasses. Finally, after over an hour and a half, I decided to pay. The guy at the bar told me I couldn't pay here and, with his back to us, continued with his work. I told him back that if I couldn't pay, I'd leave, because there was no alternative. We're standing further down the road, struggling to figure out what to do. Simply walking away isn't a good idea; it's just a reproach with no result. The four staff members keep pointing at us, and finally (another 10 minutes later) someone comes over. How awkward, as if we don't want to pay despite being awkwardly standing there! I've never heard of this from you guys, and I don't like it. For now, I'll take my money to the competition; any kindness/warmth these days is dependent on the guys! Besides, the rudeness... I'm speechless, and I regret having to rewrite my review. By the time I return, I hope you've got your affairs in order. However, I'm planning my annual team outing in November elsewhere this time. Such a shame!

If you're in Goes... this is a MUST for delicious food. What a fantastic cafe/restaurant! We're bariatric patients (gastric bypass surgery) and therefore can't eat much. That's no problem here. The friendly staff is helpful and offers great solutions/options to avoid unnecessary food waste. And because of this, we were able to enjoy a delicious meal in peace. Top notch... top notch!!!

There were six of us, but we only received one drinks menu and one food menu. Drinks arrived quickly, but twice they forgot a drink. We had to reorder it. Not even an "apology," just an "oh, okay." The food was delicious, but it took about forty minutes. I don't drink alcohol and have a thing about berries, so I asked if the cheesecake could be served without it. The waitress said it could be served without ice cream, but there was only a single berry in the cheesecake. "That's okay," I thought. My cheesecake arrived with the ice cream (again, I had specifically asked if it couldn't be served), and that "single berry" was a dollop of berries over everything. It's because I didn't want it because I don't like it, not because of an allergy. Three times in one dinner they've forgotten something. A bit expensive for the quality of everything.

We had dinner here with 5 people. 2 were satisfied 1 hamburg 1 satay but the salmon and the schnitzel were really bad and the fries were still half bad. And there was also some red meat that you have to bake yourself on a stone, it is also not super tender, you have to do it without butter. The Christmas decorations were very nicely done.

After waiting almost an hour for our food, I walk inside from the terrace to look for a waitress myself because I think they stay inside during the cold. So I asked where our food was. Well there was a tanned lady there who was downright sassy. She told me that I had already had my soup. And that there were other people there. She would be better off working on the market as a fish wife. After a long wait, my steak on stone with pepper water finally arrives. Instead of pepper sauce. So I'm sending it back. After a while, something that looked like pepper sauce finally came. But it tasted like I was eating a cube of maggie. A real disappointment. After having been without a waitress for a while, we walked in again to pay the bill. I was helped at the checkout by a very friendly young lady who apologized on behalf of the company. That lady knows her job. 89 euros thrown in the trash. Never go to the post office again, that's one thing for sure.

Had a drink and some snacks on the terrace. Service ranged from disinterested (those taking the order) to friendly (those serving the drinks). The low point was the Nacho dish. €12-13 for literally some cheese nachos with just some melted cheese on top (minimal amount) with two tiny amounts of guacamole and salsa straight from a ready-made jar. After a day in Goes, we settled here for a nice drink and a meal later. After both drinking a delicious Westmalle double with grenadine, accompanied by some bitterballen, we decided to have dinner here as well. I had the Mixed Grill on Hot Stone with a rosé. My wife the Boneless Ribs. Both came with a nice portion of fries and some salad. My Mixed Grill included garlic sauce, pepper sauce and 'Hungarian style pepper sauce'. (formerly called 'Gypsy Sauce') Strangely enough, my wife's Boneless Ribs were still quite cold. However, this was resolved correctly and excellently. After this everything tasted delicious and both the Boneless Ribs and the meat in my Mixed Grill were nicely seasoned and very tender. Baking on the stone went very well even though we sat outside. For dessert my wife had the Afogato. Vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, around which a tub of chocolate was placed, into which hot espresso was poured in a jug. Delicious dessert! I had the Tiramisu which looked very good, but it lacked the coffee flavor that a good Tiramisu should have in my opinion. I solved this somewhat by sprinkling some of the coffee I ordered over the Tiramisu. This allowed the coffee to soak in reasonably well. Definitely a tasty dessert too! The Post Office has a very large terrace at the front, on the Market, but you can also sit comfortably at the rear of the restaurant. Also a bit quieter than on the Market. The service was nice, but I wouldn't call it extremely friendly. They seemed to experience enormous crowds. They didn't walk around stressed, but you did notice that they were often a bit curt and didn't laugh much. That's the only blemish on an otherwise excellent visit to an excellent business in the center of Goes!

8 of us had a meal July 29 2004. Although the food as good. We've eaten at Postkantoor twice now and will do so again on our next vacation. We ordered both soft drinks and food. In addition to the very tasty food and the good price-performance ratio, we particularly liked the beautiful location, the fast service (we had to wait a maximum of 15 minutes for our food both times), the friendly waiters and waitresses and the fact that you can get along I was able to communicate very well in English. The restaurant is very attractively decorated. The food is bad. Carpaccio sandwich is not good. The meat is completely brown. Tostie is cold. Pulled chicken sandwich was not warm. This was indicated and reheated. Still a lukewarm pulled chicken sandwich. The waitress cannot do anything about the 2 sandwiches with spoiled meat. Bad service! Wouldn't eat there.

Ordered nachos and bruschetta. Nachos were cold and served with cold sauce like it came from a jar. For this 12.50 euros. Bruschetta was with salmon and carpaccio and a vegetable side dish. Had lunch here yesterday with my mother and aunt. My mother got her soup which was lukewarm, then my aunt and I had to wait another 15 minutes for our pizzas. Mother had just finished the lukewarm soup in the meantime. The pizzas were burned due to the crowds, we were told. Bread was also supposed to be served with the soup, but this did not happen. After 1.5 hours we asked where our main course was, we were not helped with a smile, but the staff only became more grumpy. With a heavy heart they came to offer a free round of drinks as an excuse, but this was also not welcomed. Really a bad restaurant, I would never eat here again. A waste of money that you work hard enough for.

Delicious food in good company. Friendly staff and extremely satisfied. Only the music wasn't our thing. Everything else was well taken care of.

Someone in our party had ordered a 12 o'clock fish for lunch. Only the salmon sandwich had been replaced by a carpaccio sandwich. When reporting this, it was said that this was someone else's order and the only question was asked if everything was tasty... So if you are allergic and/or have special wishes, it is best to check what you are being served before you have to deal with an unpleasant surprise 😉

Steak on hot stone, delicious! Very creatively done

From a Flemish gastronome. Nice establishment indeed, and great service. But then it ends. It's better not to eat here! Why: a salad with scampi, salmon. The 4 scampi appear to be cold pink shrimp (aquaculture) from Venezuela or Brazil. Here in Antwerp you can find them in bulk at the Moroccan fish shop, but there they are still relatively fresh on ice and they are quite tasty. So here they have been taken out of their jacket and cut in half: tasteless and unfresh. The same applies to smoked salmon: how small can you cut it into small pieces? Then everything is brought together in a brown bowl with some cherry tomatoes and a classic frisé salad. And I thought that they had already learned something in the Netherlands :( Then my carbonara: I could choose between penne, tagliatelle and spaghetti: who eats a carbonara other than with spaghetti, anyway... Now I like my spaghetti al dente, but I couldn't get through it, otherwise a tasteless mess, as dry as anything. The wine: I asked for a new glass because of oxidation, the next glass (this time Sauvignon) was sick in the same BIG BRICK. Who still serves wine from a brick?! And my Duvel (unquestionable quality) was lukewarm. Only the coffee was OK. A waste of money from my otherwise very nice date. Dorota, next time we will choose together, because they still have something to learn in the Netherlands. Bottomline: with this kind of fast food quality, the Post Office in Flanders was closed for a long time. Kind regards, Michel from Antwerp.

Nice atmosphere, the dish was nicely prepared, but it only tasted very mediocre. We had to order cutlery. The spoon for the soup was still missing. We have eaten better in the price range (approx. 20 EU per person).

Excellent place to eat. On the terrace there are small bonfires which makes the place super cozy. I recommend the Borrelplank for 2, accompanied by a good wine.

Had a very pleasant evening, served by a very nice boy with black hair and a beard, fantastic service 5/5
