Amadore Café Restaurant Het Postkantoor in Wijk 01 Goes

Echt onwijs slecht. Biertjes zonder koolzuur en nachos: een schaal chips met daarover (niet gelogen) 4 plakken Gouda kaas nog op elkaar geplakt half gesmolten. Zonder dipje of uitje, wat dan ook. Daar moesten we 26 euro voor betalen. Toen mijn man aangaf bij het personeel dat dit echt niet oké was, gaf de dame in kwestie aan: ja, wat wil je dat ik er aan doe, ik werk niet in de keuken?! Tja.... klantvriendelijk is het niet en echt zeer beroerde service.

Enkel iets gedronken op het terras. Gezellige zeteltjes, maar absoluut onvriendelijke bediening. Kan dus zeker beter

Betreft een lunch: Een uitsmijter staat als zodanig niet meer op de lunchkaart, na wat aandringen ging serveerster naar de keuken en konden we toch allebei een uitsmijter bestellen en twee grote glazen melk. Geen bijzonder grote uitsmijter. 2 bruine boterhammen met ham kaas en 3 eieren plus een klein schaaltje groente. Qua smaak gewoon goed maar niet bijzonder. Qua prijs even in shock. Wij betaalden hiervoor € 42,50. Hier komen we niet meer. Dit riekt naar afzetterij! Even opgezocht; een gemiddelde prijs voor een uitsmijter in Nederland ligt tussen de € 8,95 en €10,50 Een glas melk tussen de €2,25 en €3,00 i.p.v. de €6,00 die wij ervoor hebben betaald! Heel jammer! Wel vriendelijk personeel.

De tent zag er er hip uit. De service was daarentegen teleurstellend en het eten was totaal niet lekker. Ik bestelde een appeltaartje zonder slagroom en vroeg of deze warm gemaakt kon worden. De bediening ging vragen of dit kon in verband met de drukte (we waren op een maandag en er zaten een paar gasten buiten. Heel benieuwd wat de ‘drukte’ dan in het weekend voorstelt maar enfin). De bediening kwam terug met een koude appeltaart mét slagroom en ik vroeg of deze zonder slagroom alsnog warm gemaakt kon worden. Ze zei dat ze het in de magnetron zou opwarmen (niet echt gastvrij om dat er bij te vertellen). Kwam de bediening wat later terug met alsnog een koude appeltaart met de mededeling ‘dat de gelatinelaag in de magnetron zou gaan smelten en dat de taart dan in elkaar zou storten’. Verontwaardigd heb ik de appeltaart teruggegeven en mijn taart-craving opgegeven. Mijn vriend had een Italiaanse tosti: alleen het brood was getoast, de mozzarella was niet gesmolten en de pesto erop was heel zuur of op ‘smaak’ gemaakt met ansjovis (althans, zo smaakte het). Verder zat er een minisalade erbij, maar zonder bestek is dit lastig eten. Kortom, een betreurenswaardige en trieste ervaring hier. Ik had beter eerst de recensies hier kunnen lezen. Mijn advies: lekker bij een tentje verderop in het zonnetje gaan zitten.

Het is een prachtig etablissement. De bediening is vlot en vriendelijk. Het eten is lekker. We waren aangneaam verrast, gezien de vernietigende commentaren op Tripadvisor..

Wij zaten op terras achterkant... Uit de wind in de zon...Heeerlijk! Met z'n alle aan n tafel met n ronde bank... Snelle en vriendelijke bediening... Heerlijk geluncht... Alle gerechten werden mooi opgediend en waren heel smaakvol...

Deze plek niet heengaan. Tosti besteld was koud terug gestuurd, 2 de was ook koud. Wat een balletent. Aangegeven bij afrekenen, krijg je te horen nu weten we het wel.

ik kwam aan met me vriendin met het idee om samen lekker wat te eten en te drinken. Eerst kregen we onze drankjes met die van me vriendin was er niks mee maar met mijn pornstar martini.. het was niet te drinken er zat nauwelijks smaak aan, er zat geen passievrucht in maar een uitgedroogde limoen. Had daar wat van gezegd en toen kreeg ik een nieuwe. Kort daarna kwam MIJN eten en niet die van me vriendin omdat er wat fout ingevoerd was. Dus ik mijn pasta niet eten wachten tot het eten van me vriendin aan kwam duurde het bijna een half uur dus mijn pasta koud. Nee ik ben echt ontevreden met hoe postkantoor zich presteert heb zelf er oook gewerkt.

Wat een ballentent! We hadden een hond bij ons die rond snuffelde. Serveerster: "Hij ruikt aan m'n kont!". Besteld, maar verplaatsten ons op terras. Serveerster zag het en corrigeerde in haar systeem. Het duurde eeeeeuwig voor we onze drankjes kregen. Biertjes in glas ingezakt: "Oh ja... u heeft zich verplaatst. Ja, dan blijft het staan.". Borrelplankje voor 3 personen €29,95. Geseerveerd: 3 plakjes cervelaat, 3 plakjes schamele chorizo. 3 stukjes kaas, 3 stukjes brood. Een kwak chutney uit een potje en wat olijven. Wat een g*dverse afgang. Nooit meer!

Nog nooit zo een slechte ervaring gehad. 1 uur en 15 minuten moeten wachten op een biertje. Personeel erg onvriendelijk. Ze kunnen geen Nederlands, zelfs geen Engels. Wat een afschuwelijk bedrijf. Niet eens een compensatie gehad voor dit

Slechtste café/restaurant van heel Nederland. Brutaal jong personeel met grove opmerkingen. Extreem lang wachten om bediend te worden terwijl het zo goed als leeg is.

We verder snel geholpen aan een tafeltje, de bar stond overvol met lege glazen en flessen (geen leuk aangezicht als je binnenkomt) eenmaal aan ons tafeltje kwam er niemand . Er was veel personeel aanwezig maar niemand voelde zich geroepen om een bestelling bij ons op te nemen. Aantal keren gewenkt maar steeds werden we genegeerd, zelfs als ze bij een tafeltje naast ons aan het afrekenen waren. Na 27 min zijn we vertrokken. Bij het naar buiten lopen liepen we een dame voorbij die bij ons zou komen helpen maar ze had zelfs niet het fatsoen om goedendag te zeggen. Wat een aanfluiting. Jammer want de zaak ziet er leuk uit.

Ronduit slecht. Soep was vers maar de brokken oplospoeder lagen er nog in, 2 sneetjes brood zonder maar een beetje boter. Pizza was koud, de hesp erop was rauw , gesmolten kaas heb ik niet gevonden. Toen ik de de dienster aansprak verontschuldigde die zich wel en ging haar leindinggevende spreken maar die was te lomp om tot onze tafel te komen. 1 raad, BLIJF ERWEG

OUTRAGEOUS!!! Upon entering we saw a beautiful, attractive store. Unfortunately that was it. We asked if our table could be cleaned—something that only happened after 20 minutes and very carelessly. We then ordered two drinks, but after waiting half an hour we still hadn't received anything (again, this concerns two drinks). In the meantime, we saw other guests, who came after us, get their food, enjoy it and leave again. That was the last straw. We got up and left, because apparently you are only welcome here if the staff feels like it. A waste of our time and energy...

Italian roll Caprese was very disappointing. There was no mozzarella on it but a small slice of melted cheese and 2 small slices of tomato.. I reported it to the waiter, only received an apology. The time before the food was also disappointing. I won't come here again.

Went to the post office for dinner today. I had the nachos, nothing wrong with them. My friend had the loaded fries. Unfortunately, this was very disappointing for him. The first time the fries were not well done, some were even frozen on the inside. The waitress took the dish away and later brought us a new one. This portion was less than half of the first portion. My friend had less than 4 bites of the first portion, so I have no idea why the portion was suddenly halved. The fries were cooked well this time, unfortunately the bacon was still as raw as it could be. Shame!

The restaurant in Goes' center is lovely and cozy, offering a wide selection of Dutch and Italian dishes. The salmon dish was delicious, and the service was both prompt and friendly.

We hadden een huis gemaakte hamburger besteld de wachttijden waren redelijk en het was warm , smaak slecht en het was een samengeperste hamburger ( hoezo huis gemaakt) en dat voor € 20 . Er zijn denk ik toch betere zaken .

We had dinner here with 5 people. 2 were satisfied 1 hamburg 1 satay but the salmon and the schnitzel were really bad and the fries were still half bad. And there was also some red meat that you have to bake yourself on a stone, it is also not super tender, you have to do it without butter. The Christmas decorations were very nicely done.

We were treated very impersonally upon arrival and waited a long time for our drink, these facts alone are of course not enough reason for a negative review; Unfortunately, there were still many things that were disappointing: - waited 35 minutes for our food; Which is not a disaster, but a disappointing wait for a number of mediocre lunch dishes. - After waiting, as mentioned earlier, very mediocre dishes were served. an attempt at a neat garnish, but unfortunately not successful. - Cold fries and half of them have not touched the frying fat. - Nachos, otherwise described as dry cold chips with a slice of melted cheese that unfortunately was not warm either. - Sandwiches were dry, minimally filled and had little taste. - The striker at the 12 o'clock was very old. - The 12 o'clock croquette was no warmer than 30 degrees, both inside and out. All small things, in themselves not a big problem; it's just that the less bad stuff didn't nearly make up for it. Lots of staff; not all, came across as very unprofessional and came to the table wearing a body warmer. A look in the kitchen made a lot clear, chefs in everyday clothes and unkempt. I was not asked about my experience during checkout, so I hope for improvement through this review.

Normally I don't give many bad reviews and I try to express negative experiences directly to a manager on site. But there was no chance for that here. It was busy in the restaurant, but the people at the counter look at you, but continue walking, asking if you can order, asking if you can pay. Beer is whisked with a pestle because the foam is gone, the cola has no taste, bitterballen were cold, a long wait, a shame about this beautiful location. There is no love in this business and lack of proper leadership. Shame.

Moest een uur wachten voordat mijn eten uiteindelijk aankwam, toen ik het eenmaal kreeg was mijn pizza helemaal verbrand aan de onderkant.

Unfortunately I don't have much positive to say. The atmosphere is great and it ends here. We were guests at the Italian evening which turned out to be a big flop. The food was really bad. The pasta (on Italian evening, hello!!) was inedible: tasteless and soggy, served with a piece of salmon on top. The dessert, which was supposed to be Tiramisu, was just as bad: tasteless and watery. We were all very, very disappointed. Not worth repeating for us.

De soep was echt te zout, de hoofdgerechten met name de pasta’s niet echt warm, vispotje was ook niet geweldig en dan druk ik het nog netjes uit.

Dit is beter geweest, afgesnauwd en dan bestel je huisgemaakte tonijn salade en na 3 kwartier wachten (want ja het zat vol binnen, nou dat viel reuze mee) een zachte bol met wat mayo achtig iets aan 1 kant besmeerd. Wat ijsbergsla en droge tonijn met wat rode ui ringen. Dat was de huisgemaakte tonijnsalade, echt niet te eten zo droog! Er zijn gelukkig betere restaurants op de markt, is jammer dat dit zo achteruit is gegaan.

Very nice restaurant, nicely set up and very cozy. Unfortunately the food was rubbish, I had to repeat what I wanted to order 7 times, then got the wrong sandwich, asked for a new one, but there was doubt as to whether I had ordered it wrong. In the end I received my new sandwich quite quickly, but half of the ingredients were missing, which was eventually resolved in a friendly manner. But sorry to say, the sandwich (focaccia club) was really bad and should not be served like that in a restaurant. You see a lot of young staff and it also seemed a bit messy.

Yesterday I came to eat here. Normally I always go to Jersey's where I always have a delicious meal and the service is also great! Now I would think since this is also owned by Jerry that the quality would be at least the same. As I always do, I order steak on stone for 2 people. Started with an onion soup that was a bit on the salty side. But we thought it could happen and we wouldn't complain about it. After waiting almost an hour for our food, I walk inside from the terrace to look for a waitress myself because I think they stay inside during the cold. So I asked where our food was. Well there was a tanned lady there who was downright sassy. She told me that I had already had my soup. And that there were other people there. She would be better off working on the market as a fish wife. After a long wait, my steak on stone with pepper water finally arrives. Instead of pepper sauce. So I'm sending it back. After a while, something that looked like pepper sauce finally came. But it tasted like I was eating a cube of maggie. A real disappointment. After having been without a waitress for a while, we walked in again to pay the bill. I was helped at the checkout by a very friendly young lady who apologized on behalf of the company. That lady knows her job. 89 euros thrown in the trash. Never go to the post office again, that's one thing for sure.

Had lunch with the family this afternoon. The bouncer's order went wrong twice. First the bouncer came on brown bread while white bread was passed on. Then the bouncer came with ham and cheese, while only cheese was requested. Ordered the focaccia pulled chicken twice, it was very dry and served without decoration. Some raw vegetables or sauce on the sandwich was not an unnecessary luxury. Been here before, but this time it was really disappointing...

However, the “toasted sandwich” was a mockery. Lettuce garnish was definitely not fresh and bread was boring. But also not well done, the cheese in the bread was hardly melted. The pineapple slice was a surprising topping and also necessary to remove the dry bread (fresh?). That was a shame, because the appearance and atmosphere suggest better quality.

Lange wachttijd, eten was niet gaar, na ongeveer 1.5 uur wachten. Bediening was er nauwelijks op het terras, binnen stonden er 4 achter de bar niets te doen en een beetje met elkaar te kletsen, terwijl het terras overvol was. Echt schandalig en dat op zo'n toplocatie.

Ordered lunch. Salmon sandwich and healthy sandwich. Both were very disappointing. No slice of salmon but some shredded salmon and a healthy sandwich, a sandwich with ham and cheese and some lettuce. 40 euros including drink is really too much for what we got.

I ate the hamburger here, it tasted good, but the chef neglected to toast the bun, which made it all soggy and a mess to eat, the sauce dripped right through the bun, 1 napkin was not enough to remove the mess. to wipe off my hands

Had a drink and some snacks on the terrace. Service ranged from disinterested (those taking the order) to friendly (those serving the drinks). The low point was the Nacho dish. €12-13 for literally some cheese nachos with just some melted cheese on top (minimal amount) with two tiny amounts of guacamole and salsa straight from a ready-made jar. Whoever came up with this for this price should be ashamed of themselves.

After a day in Goes, we settled here for a nice drink and a meal later. After both drinking a delicious Westmalle double with grenadine, accompanied by some bitterballen, we decided to have dinner here as well. I had the Mixed Grill on Hot Stone with a rosé. My wife the Boneless Ribs. Both came with a nice portion of fries and some salad. My Mixed Grill included garlic sauce, pepper sauce and 'Hungarian style pepper sauce'. (formerly called 'Gypsy Sauce') Strangely enough, my wife's Boneless Ribs were still quite cold. However, this was resolved correctly and excellently. After this everything tasted delicious and both the Boneless Ribs and the meat in my Mixed Grill were nicely seasoned and very tender. Baking on the stone went very well even though we sat outside. For dessert my wife had the Afogato. Vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, around which a tub of chocolate was placed, into which hot espresso was poured in a jug. Delicious dessert! I had the Tiramisu which looked very good, but it lacked the coffee flavor that a good Tiramisu should have in my opinion. I solved this somewhat by sprinkling some of the coffee I ordered over the Tiramisu. This allowed the coffee to soak in reasonably well. Definitely a tasty dessert too! The Post Office has a very large terrace at the front, on the Market, but you can also sit comfortably at the rear of the restaurant. Also a bit quieter than on the Market. The service was nice, but I wouldn't call it extremely friendly. They seemed to experience enormous crowds. They didn't walk around stressed, but you did notice that they were often a bit curt and didn't laugh much. That's the only blemish on an otherwise excellent visit to an excellent business in the center of Goes!

Very bad... We ordered a couple of drinks which never arrived. I had this experience a couple of times before. When confronting staff I was very rudely treated. They simply don't care except for your money. Oh, and they're not cheap. Stay away from this place!

Located on the marketplace of Goes with a good access, food in line with what you could expect from a Café - Resto. Where some of the dishes were lacking the concept of the general expectation. Would I comeback - probably, I will look for something else, as you have many more resto’s

We had to wait a very long time until someone finally noticed that we were sitting on the terrace. Never eat spaghetti here people! The portion my husband got for 17 euros was crazy. 20 strings with a ladleful of sauce in a mega-large plate. He was able to bring the fork to his mouth about 4 times and the spaghetti was gone. We literally asked if this was the children's portion by mistake. Really not normal. Shame on fooling people like this, I can't imagine that you don't know that this is really not okay. It was suggested to bring another plate, we said thank you and suggested we pay for a child's portion, she pretended not to hear. What I think is worst is that there are apparently still complaints about this and that you are not doing anything about it.

Tasty food. Good value for money (although it depends on what you take), but what poor service. Heel lang moeten wachten tot eindelijk iemand door had dat we op het terras zaten. Eet hier nooit een spaghetti mensen ! De portie die mijn man kreeg voor 17 euro was te gek voor woorden. 20 sliertjes met een soeplepeltje saus in een megagroot bord. Hij heeft ongeveer 4 keer het vork naar zijn mond kunnen brengen en hop weg was de spaghetti. Wij hebben letterlijk gevraagd of dit misschien per ongeluk de kinderportie was. Echt niet normaal. Schande de mensen zo bedotten, ik kan me onmogelijk voorstellen dat jullie zelf ook niet weten dat dit echt niet ok is. Er werd voorgesteld nog een bord te brengen, we hebben bedankt en voorgesteld om voor een kinderportie te betalen, ze deed of ze het niet hoorde.

Dramatisch! Heel lang wachten en uiteindelijk is de tosti koud (maar onze dochter at het toch maar op omdat ze al zo'n honger had. Brood met kroketten terug gestuurd omdat het echt te koud was. We waited 20 minutes to get ignored and left by the end...It was crowded but they served people who sat down while we were about to go..It was a very unpleasant experience and we will definitely not give it another shot. Bestelling komt langslopen en de persoon met mijn drankjes weet niet waar hij ze moet afgeven, meen je dit ècht...???? Ik wenk m dat hij bij ons moet wezen, hij zet de drankjes neer, zegt niks en loopt weg. Na half uur ook maar eens gevraagd waar ons bittergarnituur bleef... Alles was op en toen kwam het bittergarnituur. Nou, die kun je in je k*nt steken. Afrekenen krijg je de rekening van de grote groep mensen naast ons... (178,-) Toen ik vroeg of het klopte zij de serveerster nog ja ook... Sjezus. Niks werkt er naar behoren daar, geen communicatie onderling en Engels pratende serveersters moeten lekker in eigen land blijven serveren! Geen wonder dat er meerdere mensen vertrokken tijdens ons bezoek...man man man... Review op eigen site werd geweigerd, ja snap het helemaal...

Gezellige plaats om aan te raden. Maar niet voor het eten. We zaten met 6 personen aan de tafel. Het hoofdgerecht volgende niet op elkaar. Eerst kregen we 2 porties mosselen een poos later volgende het eten van de andere, hierna volgende pas de friet en saus. Al het eten werd koud 🥶 mosselen waren niet goed gewassen hier zat nog zand in, en soep smaakte aangebrand, ook de pasta. Bij de mosselen kregen we ook geen citrus doekje voor het kuisen van de handen. In de avond doven de lichten hierdoor zag je niet goed het eten.

We've eaten at Postkantoor twice now and will do so again on our next vacation. We ordered both soft drinks and food. In addition to the very tasty food and the good price-performance ratio, we particularly liked the beautiful location, the fast service (we had to wait a maximum of 15 minutes for our food both times), the friendly waiters and waitresses and the fact that you can get along I was able to communicate very well in English. The absolute highlight is that the pizza dough is probably our own creation.
