Anne&Max Eindhoven in Centrum

I used to like this place and go for an occational coffee since it's in my neighbourhood. However, the last time I went to have some food, I was treated really disrespectfully by the manager. I was at the toilet and she came banging the door of the toilet and demanding that I get out of the toilet as soon as possible. When I complained about the disrespectful behavior they refused to serve me any further, while the correct thing to do was to offer an apology. As a result my mood got ruined and didn't want to stay any longer at this place. Therefore, I paid my bill and went to another restaurant nearby to have a beer. The way I was treated is unacceptable for the standards of the hospitality industry. Given the disrespectful way I was treated as a customer I am not planning to go to this place ever again. I prefer to spend my money at other places.

I liked the atmosphere and the food is very fresh, but in my opinion, they have a limited selection of lunch options. Perhaps they need more variety in pizza, pasta, or snacks. It's ideal for breakfast or an afternoon snack. The prices are high, in line with the Dutch economy: a croissant is €3, a slice of lemon pudding is €4, which, by the way, I didn't like. I recommend the salads and the focaccia sandwiches!

We had a lovely time on the terrace today with coffee and cake. The only downside was that we had both just finished when the waitress came to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. Our answer was no; I had just finished the last sip. The table was cleared immediately, taking the empty cups and plates with them. So there you are, sitting at an empty table after only fifteen minutes. That feels so awkward; you just don't stay at an empty table. So we just left. Tip: just leave it there for a bit; we definitely would have ordered something later.

Came here for brunch with a group of four friends and had a really great experience. The service was super friendly and impressively quick, we didn’t have to wait at all. The food was amazing. I had the chicken bowl, which was fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. I also ordered a matcha, and it was perfectly balanced and really well made, not too sweet or bitter. The prices are very fair for the quality and portions you get. Overall, great atmosphere, great food, and excellent service. Definitely a brunch spot I’d come back to.

Had a cappuccino outside with a very tasty slice of chocolate (brownie) topped with chopped raspberries. Served by a very friendly waitress (employee 🤭). That's how you keep your customers, of course. Really nice. She even came over to ask how it tasted, as it was hard to find in the assortment. €9 isn't exactly cheap, but with this service, it makes sense 😀

Nice place. Friendly ladies. The coffee was good and the pistachio croissant delicious. I fear the worst that the Miffy pastry came from the freezer. Truly tasteless. Only order fresh products! You can taste the difference!

No idea how they prepare eggs here. It looks nice, but it really has absolutely no taste. It tastes like an egg substitute or something similar. This is the most tasteless egg I have ever had. Do not order!

The place and atmosphere are really nice, the food is good and we will gladly return especially for the welcome and attention if you have children.

A very nice spot with easygoing relaxed atmosphere. Good food, quick friendly service (by students, it looks like), seriously excellent coffee.

Nice fresh focaccia and lentil soup. Sourbread club sandwitch was somewhat bland and didn’t rock my socks. Creamy raspberry cheesecake for dessert was a real banger.

Went here for the first time today. What can I say? Just one of the many places selling matcha and cheesecake, etc. I didn't find anything particularly distinctive in terms of menu or decor. I do have to say, though, that I was relieved that only Dutch women worked there. Finally, I don't have to speak English again because they wouldn't understand otherwise.

I went for breakfast on a friend's recommendation. The service was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the breakfast menu was nothing special. The scrambled eggs and bacon were tasteless. The only thing I enjoyed was the croissant.

Love it. We had no reservations, the waitress treated us with a smile and helped us getting good seats. The food was delicious with an amazing menu. Good veg/vegan options, the food was full of flavors. Will definitely recommend this place, for the food atmosphere and good time.

I gave two stars because, while the food and coffee are truly awesome, I left feeling annoyed. When I tried to drink from my own water bottle, I was told I couldn’t bring drinks inside. I explained it was just my personal water (I like to stay hydrated), but the staff said the only option was tap water if I ordered coffee or wine. That policy really ruined the experience for me, even though everything else tasted great. I understand the policy, but what I found confusing is that I was actually allowed to have tap water once I ordered coffee — which is completely fine — but then not allowed to drink from my own water bottle. It doesn’t really make much difference, since both are just water, and I had already ordered coffee, juice, and food. So it felt a bit unnecessary to be told off for drinking my own water, even though everything else about the place was great.

Caprese croissant was tasty, but service was sooo slow. We waited half an hour for the croissant. They served coffee first and we had to finish it until they serve the croissant. Place is pretty and a good choice for breakfast.

We were in Eindhoven last weekend and for one of the breakfast we end up in this lovely place. The staff is very welcome and smiling, we tried two plates which were delicious and I loved that the cappucino with oat milk has discount of 5 cents. There were many people but the place is very spacious and it's a place well equipped for children too. I would recommended it!

Their desserts are generally delicious. Their coffee is good. It's fast.

Ordered vegan high tea from Anne and Max, really delicious! Super tasty and very cheerful delivery. Eating on site is also very pleasant.

We were looking for breakfast and saw this fantastic place. We ordered breakfast for two, and it was truly luxurious and delicious. Highly recommended. It was €100 for five people, but that won't spoil the fun, right? So, the same as the best breakfast ever!

Nice place with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The coffee was very good and there are vegetarian options available, which I appreciate. We came for brunch for two (€36), but unfortunately found it not in proportion to the price. The portions were small: a small bowl of salad, a small omelette (while we had asked for a vegan version - strange that there was egg in it), some coconut flakes as "vegan bacon", two slices of tomato and two half pieces of cheese. There was a lot of bread served, but that is personally not really my thing. Next time I would rather choose something else from the menu, for example a salad.

Today we ate at Anne & Max, with 3 friends. We got a table quickly and the service was fast. The food for me personally was tasty, but the hospitality was far from being found. Both with the drinks and the food of a friend something went wrong. This can of course happen, but the reaction to this was not professional at all. We calmly indicated what was wrong and whether they could do something about it. Both times we were blamed by the service, "it was our fault". We were missing parts of the dish, the dish did not match the ingredients in the photo, and was tasteless. We got the wrong drink and only after a discussion we got the right one. When paying we also indicated that it was our fault again. We will not be coming back here.

I have been to this cafe 3 years ago and it was everything amazing, service and food. I was disappointed today as the service was not ip to what i have experienced in the past. I had to ask 2 times for milk next to my coffee and it never arrived. Also we ordered 2 waters and they brought only one, late service and very amateuristisch. Food was good although overpriced due to location, expected.

Staff was very nice. We ordered both from them and via the QR code. Everything went very smoothly. Even after ordering via the QR code, they asked some extra questions to ensure that the order would arrive correctly. The caprese croissant was very tasty, just not enough. Fortunately, they still have so many goodies on the menu that I ordered another cake afterwards!

We went to eat sandwiches, although I can't remember their names, we ate the Italian one and the chicken one with focacia joints. I liked both of them, the Italian one was cold, the one with chicken was hot. The beers were also good, my friend liked the one with coriander (there is no picture), the citrus blonde looked a bit like a blue moon. I haven't come across this beer much elsewhere, but they said it was only available in some markets.

The food was plain. Some tasteless eggs and 2 slices of what they called "sourdough" bread, but actually is basic bread that you find in any market, with very little hummus and some kind of pepper spread. It was surprising that the food came faster than the coffee, though.

Useless rude help, wanted to order, was told that it was online, when I said that I did not go to a terrace. I went to order online, I was always told that there was also a paper version for digital people, coffee was half lukewarm, half weak, far too expensive and rude

We ate a delicious breakfast here on the Sunday morning. I was glad I made a reservation because it was very full. It's so nice not to be sitting in an empty restaurant! I had put in the reservation that it was our children's birthday that day and they came to serve breakfast with fireworks, very thoughtful. Definitely worth repeating, not just on birthdays 😉

Came here last minute for lunch, the staff was super friendly, they were helped quickly, I had a fresh ice tea, my friend had a cappuccino with oat milk, then we opted for a lunch board with 2, everything was super fresh and delicious and very sufficient! It was very tasty, we will definitely come back!

The dishes are prepared with heart and love, you can taste it straight away. A real family business where hospitality is very important - we felt at home from the first moment. Everything is just right here: great atmosphere, delicious food and incredibly friendly service. We always enjoy coming back and can only recommend this wonderful restaurant!

Very nice place. We had reserved a large table with colleagues and everyone was very enthusiastic about the food, the atmosphere and the service. Mr. Max took the order of 7 people from memory, everyone took something different, and everything was correct afterwards. How does he do that?

Didn't have a pleasant experience with Anne&Max. There are no menus on the tables, but QR codes, which is fine. We were about to place the order when someone from the front desk came to ask what we wanted to drink. So it was a bit confusing as to what the intention was, should you order via the QR code or not. Using the code I couldn't find that they had coke, only a homemade coke was on the menu. Later it turned out that they did have Coca Cola Zera, which was a bit confusing. I ordered the Club Italy and a minute after they took my order she asked if I wanted ham on it. Because it was very loud and noisy in the shop, I interpreted it as 'we no longer have a certain ingredient, is raw ham also good'? Yes, that's fine too. Later it turned out on the bill that I had to pay extra for this. The exact same thing happened to my tablemate. So ingredients are added in the most devious way, for which you had to pay extra. My sandwich wasn't tasty either. Dripping with oil.. so I wanted to wash my hands in the toilet, which was a bit difficult because it is really very dark there😂🙈 Well unfortunately, first and last time Anne and Max for me.

I went here for breakfast with two girlfriends. It was pleasantly busy on a Saturday morning, so making a reservation is a good idea. We opted for the breakfast platter. This was certainly enough. The food was tasty. Not super special, but good breakfast. The coffee was also tasty and the staff was friendly. There were many families with small children and there was also a play corner for them. It was very atmospheric inside. Definitely recommended.

Anne & Max is a good place for lunch in Eindhoven, the terrace is on the small mountain. This is a very pleasant street. There is a diverse range of drinks, I think they specialize in coffee but I had one of the few specialty beers on the menu. For dinner I had focaccia with pulled pork, with the option of with or without cheese. I chose the option without cheese, and it was really delicious! Good experience, definitely recommended for lunch. The staff spoke both Dutch and English.

I have used it many times! The chai latte here is delicious. A gentle sweet and comforting taste. If you don't like sweet drinks, coffee might be a good option. Cappuccino is also delicious. There is a wide variety of cakes and baked goods, and it is always fun to choose ♡

We had breakfast with beaten egg and bread with spread. All three of us didn't eat our egg because it looked like the fake egg was made from a carton. Not to eat. Bread with spread was okay, but very bland and not toasted.

It’s a very cozy cafe/restaurant in kleine berg. We had a breakfast set which included a drink, croissant, scrambled egg with salmon and yogurt. And a lunch set which had lentil soup and salad. Both were delicious and interesting combinations.

Nice cafe with super sweet employees. Coffee was very tasty, but unfortunately I didn't think the pastries were fresh. It has a small play area for small children. Also a nice date place for moms with young children☺️ it has a very nicely decorated corner with a larger table for working or sitting at the table with several friends.

Whether you go for a cup of coffee in the morning because the day started too early, or you sit down on the terrace with friends in the afternoon for a delicious lunch, you will always be welcomed with open arms. The snacks and drinks are delicious. Delicious and often healthy too! A boost for body and mind. Top!
