Lunchroom 1NUL1 in Rozenknopje

This time we were in Eindhoven and decided to have lunch at Lunchroom 1nul1, a place my wife had been to many times and where it's always delicious. And that was absolutely right. It's a small, cozy, no-frills place: everything is white, with simple tables and chairs. The food was delicious. I had a spicy hummus sandwich with avocado and egg, which I highly recommend. The others opted for matcha pancakes. The carpaccio sandwich could have used a bit more salt and pepper, but that's a personal preference. All in all, a great place for breakfast or lunch.

I went for lunch with a friend and had seen posts on TikTok about the food, which looked delicious. So we had to try it! Once we arrived, it honestly looked quite bland. A large, open, white room. It was packed on a Saturday, though, which is always a good sign. I was a little disappointed that they only had the yogurt bowl left. The acai bowl was gone. I can eat yogurt at home, so I went looking for something I wouldn't normally make at home. That's why I chose the spicy chicken sandwich. And it certainly didn't disappoint! The service was also good, despite the crowd. I often feel forgotten, but that was certainly not the case here. So, all in all, a good experience. That's why I find it especially disappointing that the decor is so dull. Because if it were, I would definitely give it a solid 5 stars and come back sooner with my friends for lunch. Hopefully, everyone can appreciate my honesty, because I'm not saying this to be negative. It was a genuinely good experience! I forgot to take pictures of the food. I finished it so quickly haha

I've always had a good experience here, but now I've had an experience that makes me reluctant to return. There was a hair in my sandwich, which is, of course, very unpleasant. After reporting it, I did get a new sandwich, but you can imagine that diminished my appetite. I received an apology, but I still had to pay the full price.

I got far too little tuna on my sandwich, which made the bread dry.

We stumbled upon the place by accident and decided to give it a try. The ordered food was alright but felt a bit pricey for the portion size and the way it was presented. But other than that it was ok.

After so many times hearing about it, gave it a try. The espresso was just terrible... sandwich mediocre, the carpaccio was a processed one.

Had a sandwich with carpaccio. The Bread was very good. The meat and rest were okay. Overal okay.

Went here for the first time today from Utrecht. Definitely worth it. Great atmosphere, delicious food, very friendly staff. We'll definitely be back!

The food is excellent. I'm especially fond of the chicken melt, tuna melt, and carpaccio sandwiches. The service in the restaurant itself is also just okay. Outside of that, it's getting worse. The restaurant was closed for two months last summer after previously stating it would only be for two weeks. After that, there was no clarity. Because I live on the other side of Eindhoven and have to drive at least fifteen minutes, I often call ahead to make sure they're open. These days, no one answers the phone. Today, I showed up at 10:00 a.m., after trying again, and they were still closed. Even though they advertise opening at 9:30 a.m. In short: I'm really happy with the food because it brings something to the Eindhoven halal scene that wasn't there before, but the service really needs to improve.

Our family always enjoys eating here. Whatever we order, we know it's always going to be perfect. The staff are friendly.

Super delicious! Definitely recommended! Canned matcha was available again at our place (for those who like it). I don't normally like matcha, but for the first time, I actually enjoyed it here. I had the strawberry matcha with vanilla milk.

I ordered some pancakes yesterday and they came raw, and I paid a lot of money.

I had lunch here with my daughter. She had seen it on social media and especially the matcha drink in a can, but unfortunately it was not there, but don't hesitate, the matcha drink is more important. We were welcomed friendly and were allowed to choose a spot ourselves, I would go before or after lunch, it can be very busy during lunch and especially if you want to sit inside. We had a latte macchiato, strawberry matcha, matcha latte, carpaccio and uitsmijter ham cheese egg. We did not wait long for our drinks and then our food arrived. It was very tasty. What I also always do is order a second drink to see if it tastes the same and that was also very good. So it is worth going even though they did not have the matcha drink in a can, but their drink tasted very good. Quality over quantity.

Hi, I dropped by for Matcha today, and my experience was really bad. Firstly, the owner/manager was really rude and didn't know how to talk to his customers. Secondly, I ordered a mango matcha, and in that, there is zero taste of Matcha, just milk, and a little bit of mango flavor. Thirdly, it was for 8 euros for a tiny size of plastic cup. I won't be going again because of this experience.

Food was good however we found the staff pushy and after lunch we got the impression that we had to pay quickly and leave.

The matcha was okay. We actually came here especially for the matcha in a can, because we had seen on social media that it was served in a nice, eye-catching can. That was exactly what caught our attention and gave us the idea to go there in the first place. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case at all. To be honest, that feels like deception. If you give off such an image, you have to live up to it. Then the carpaccio sandwich: that was served on an ordinary brown bread sandwich. In terms of presentation and experience, that was really disappointing. For the price you pay, you expect at least a traditional or somewhat more luxurious sandwich, this felt like it was put together at home in five minutes. Fortunately, the French toast was very tasty, and the shake was also tasty. The service was fast, but otherwise pretty standard. All in all, we came with high expectations, but unfortunately they were not met. One dish stood out, the rest were disappointing. No repeat for us.

We came with friends from Paris. The service was impeccable, the staff was attentive, and above all, the food was excellent. A wonderful experience, I hope to return.

Am a regular eater at 1nul1. Really everything on the menu is so delicious. I always decide to take something else so that I have tasted everything. This place is definitely recommended!

Nice, clean lunchroom. Stripped of all the unnecessary frills that adorn so many restaurants these days. Simply presented neatly, clear where you can order, nice little terrace. Excellent quality food for the price you pay. Best tuna melt I've tasted in the Netherlands! Service also OK.

I had a wonderful experience at this store today! I was intrigued by the matcha strawberry drink that many people were ordering at the entrance, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, my credit card couldn’t be used for payment. When I explained this to the owner, they kindly offered to give me the drink for free! I was truly touched by their generosity. The matcha strawberry drink was absolutely delicious with a refreshing taste. I highly recommend this place and wish them all the best for their business. Thanks for the amazing service!

Delicious sandwiches and super friendly staff! What is a pity is that the boss at the cash register always makes a problem about splitting payments, sometimes that just doesn't work and then this becomes a big problem. Very unfortunate!

A real enrichment for the Eindhoven catering scene, a halal lunchroom that has fixed and structured opening hours and can maintain the same quality day in, day out. You have a clear and not too large menu, but a good coffee menu. We went for the red velvet pancakes, and I went for an iced coffee/cappuccino. Price, with a spa blue, was 21 euros. In addition to pancakes and bowls, they also have delicious sandwiches. The staff and owner are very hospitable, and it is within walking distance of the city.

The atmosphere here was very nice, even on a Monday afternoon it was packed with people sharing a lunch or talking over coffee. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a versatile lunch spot in Eindhoven! This place is a short walk from the city centre, but there is also a bus stop located just around the corner that goes directly by the city centre and ends at the central station.

What a wonderful lunch I had with my children yesterday. The pizza with a wafer-thin base, carpaccio salad, carpaccio sandwich and the fluffy pancakes not only looked delicious, but also tasted delicious! And nice to see that the friendly chef serves every now and then. I'll be back soon :) Edit 15-04-24: I just had lunch here with my aunt. Wow, quite a change after the renovation. A trendy appearance has been created and the luxurious furnishings in calm colors set the atmosphere. I come here at least one day a week for a nice, but especially delicious, lunch. The owner is also very friendly!

Went for lunch a year ago and it was great! Nice service and good and beautiful food. That's why I came back... To everyone's surprise, this time it was disappointing. You are not greeted when you walk in. There is actually no further interaction from the staff. Unfortunately, how the food is advertised online is not how you get it served, only the pancakes are nicely prepared. The sandwiches and toasties are served on a napkin... The cutlery is not clean and is grabbed by the staff from the part where the guests eat and as soon as you have finished eating you have to leave as quickly as possible. Shame…

Was there on a busy Sunday afternoon but the food came super fast, very tasty and lovely employees. It's a bit of a mess, but that shouldn't spoil the fun. Definitely come back more often.

You sit right on top of each other and literally follow the conversation of the person next to you. I find the furnishings unpleasant. And 70 cents extra for oat milk in your coffee or matcha latte is outdated, at some places you now get a discount if you order vegan. I went again after my tea. Service is friendly and the food all looks delicious.

The food is worthless, poor quality. Products not prepared in-house but purchased from a wholesaler. Sandwich tasteless and above all the price, too expensive!. Immediately after I finished my food, we were asked to leave the restaurant so that we could make room for 3 people. We were just here for 45 minutes. Ridiculous!. That's not how you treat customers. Too small place with too many tables. Far too many staff walking around doing nothing. I will never go here again!

Amazing coffee and special coffee creations including Pumpkin Spiced Latte. However, the only vegan option was the Bowl as the bread was all with milk.

The food was good, but I saw several customers who arrived later but were helped earlier. When I inquired, it turned out that my order had been forgotten, which was a shame as I was under some time pressure.

Mooie zaak met lekker eten. Wij komen hier vaak eten. Vandaag ben ik teleurgesteld over de service en de pancakes. Over het algemeen is de bediening aan de trage kant. 2 tafels en het eten wordt geserveerd 30+ min. voor 2 personen. Als ik hierna vroeg, werd zomaar geroepen “ its coming’. Ik vond pancakes ook slecht, niet fluffy en erg klein. Jammer.

Lekker eten, prima prijsje, goed geholpen. Was wel heel druk en luid ondanks dat het 15u voorbij was. (Wat natuurlijk ook veel zegt). Hier komen we zeker terug.

My sister and I went here on our last day in Eindhoven and were unfortunately disappointed. My sister got the red velvet pancakes which she said were very nice. However I got the scrambled eggs on toast and they weren’t the best. They came out and the bread was not toasted and had no butter on them. The scrambled eggs seemed quite over cooked. In addition, the menu was not at all in english and there was not an option for this so we had to translate. The latte was nice but slightly cold. Lastly they did not take VISA card and we had to go and get money out from an ATM and were then charged an extra €4 at the ATM.

Hele aardige serveerster en lekker eten!! Het is echt een leuke plek om te ontbijten/lunchen met veel opties! Het eten werd ook zeer snel gebracht en ze maken zelf heerlijke verse smoothies!! Zelf vond ik wel dat er een beetje weinig carpaccio met het broodje kwam maar alsnog super lekker!! 🤗

Super lekker gegeten, het eten ziet er leuk uit en smaakt ook erg goed. De red velvet pancakes zijn ook lekker alleen proef je de red velvet niet echt. Ik zou zeker terug komen als ik in de buurt ben!
