unusually unassuming place with ambiance from times before the mobile device curse . the interior is filled with telephone switchboard paraphernalia, the food is wholesome tasty and fresh, waiting staff are very friendly if a bit detached from mobile device era rush for me a clear advantage. do not come if you want to be full and done in 15-20 minutes, do come to unwind have a good conversation and a very good good coffee an increasingly rare thing these days

Cozy little place, had a good meal.

Delicious food, nice terrace with plenty of parasols to sit comfortably (especially with today's heat). The staff comes by very regularly to ask if everything is to our liking and if anything is needed at the table. We ate outside; I cannot judge the atmosphere inside. Nice surroundings, the old Philips site with new uses for the buildings. We were with a larger group of 10+ people; we ordered various dishes and everything went smoothly. There was a slight delay somewhere, but it certainly wasn't bothersome. I had the Shotgun shells; I wanted to make them at home sometime, but I never got around to it. After tonight, I am sure I really need to make them sometime because they were really delicious.

Incredible place with incredible people and really nice food

Amazed by the many delicious vegetarian dishes in the Shared Dinner. 3 courses, more than enough, special dessert (tiramisu balls): everything was one big surprise. And that for 26.50 pp! Nice, friendly service.

A fine spot for lunch with plenty of choice. The flavors could be a bit more exciting, but we did enjoy it! The interior is atmospheric (sitting on the terrace isn't exactly relaxing due to noisy construction work across the street), but unfortunately, the friendliness of the staff was very inconsistent. They don't serve tap water, even though I had coffee in warm weather, and I wouldn't recommend the lukewarm 'iced' coffee without ice. All in all, not entirely satisfied, but I might come back sometime!

Cozy place in Strijp S. All kinds of posters and memorabilia related to an old telephone exchange: very funny to see. The food and drinks are also of good quality; what more could you ask for?

Nice decor. Very nice and friendly staff. The food is simply good. But that sharing dinner isn't my thing. Otherwise, we had a good meal and drinks. The price was also reasonable.

Was Breeze a meeting place. Hard-to-find location, lots of roadworks, and not really cozy. Super narrow toilets and not very clean. Not much of the idea and atmosphere of the old telephone exchange remained. A shame.

Went there for lunch with a friend and ordered soup and bites. After 30 min, a different waiter comes and says we don't have soup. When asked why they didn't tell us earlier, he said - I just came to work. No other response .

Not an extensive menu, but simply finger-licking good food; we had a delicious meal, and the special on tap was a tasty triple which, as the waitstaff warned, drinks just like a regular draft beer. Also a really nice place for a nice cup of coffee or tea.

Essentially a nice place to have a drink (and something to eat). However, there are currently (April 2026) construction works around the site. That makes the surroundings a bit messy and dusty (but also rugged for the enthusiast). The interior is reminiscent of an old telephone exchange.

It's a shame we can't add an extra star, because you truly deserve it! Let me start with the staff: what genuine hospitality and coziness we experienced here! We ate here with our family and 2 children and it was truly delicious! Definitely keep it up. Until next time!

Nostalgic decor. Great location for a nice lunch.

Owner suddenly slams his place shut without explanation. Even though the business was supposed to stay open until 22:00 on March 14, 2026, the employee / owner closed the business without explanation. There we stood with a group of 8 people who had walked there specifically. At 20:30.

Trendy place with a socially responsible mindset. Excellent food, motivated staff who go above and beyond within their capabilities. The shared lunch is highly recommended, as are the recommended chai latte and the tea grinder 😉 December 18, 2025, super delicious new menu. Despite the crowds, we didn't have to wait long and the service was fantastic, not only from the regular crew, but certainly also from the extra support flown in, just back from Malta. Great evening ❤️

Had another lovely afternoon here. My girlfriend and an acquaintance had lunch here. The sandwich was delicious! I struggled to finish it, but it felt like a shame not to eat it because it was so good. The atmosphere was good, and the service was also great. It was just a bit chilly inside.

We had an absolutely delicious meal here!! The four of us had the Shared Dinner, and it was fantastic! The menu says dessert is included, but it also includes appetizers. You really got your money's worth! Everything was delicious! The ambiance is also absolutely fantastic! As "oldies," it made us feel nostalgic: an old rotary phone on every table, beautiful records on the wall, a real telephone switchboard (one of us used to use one!) And it's the details that are so nice: the bill arrived in an old-fashioned phone book! The staff is all, without exception, super friendly. We haven't had such a great time out in a long time!

I ordered two delicious coffees on a terrace that was completely empty. I was surprised, but luckily it soon became clear why. I asked if I could have a glass of water with my coffee. "No, we don't do that," she said. That was the last time I used the telephone exchange.

At 20.20 we asked for food and were told the kitchen is closed 😔. We could order only fries and some finger food. When leaving later we noticed an anothers table getting served normal dishes. The fries were good but we didn't feel really welcomed.

We had a wonderful meal here! We opted for the shared dinner for two people. The staff were very friendly and even came over for a chat! After the starter (which was quite a lot), we were already a bit full. But then came much more, several small dishes that you can also order as a large portion for a regular dinner. So we almost ate the entire menu! It was definitely too much for us, even though we're big eaters. We finished with a delicious dessert (which was included), and the drinks were also excellent! All in all, a very good experience; we're hungry for more!

Last month, after ordering a Thai red curry soup, a staff member politely informed me that it still needed to be defrosted, which got me thinking. Unfortunately, when I finally received the soup, it was very disappointing. It was very watery and contained little to no ingredients—no vegetables, chicken, or other fillings you'd normally expect in a Thai curry soup. I provided feedback with the intention of helping to improve, but unfortunately, I didn't receive a response.

Great spot for a drink! The shared dinner was very limited, with little variety. The meat resembled vegetarian meat. The dessert was no bigger than one bite... I went home hungry.

Although we got a good impression from the atmosphere, the terrace, the surroundings and the options on the menu, this was unfortunately not fulfilled during our lunch. First of all, it took a long time before we could order. A female colleague told us that this was possible with one of the men, but she did not let him know, so we had to wait again. It also took a long time for our food to arrive, but anyway, we were sitting in the sun so we were not dissatisfied. We had the 'soul foud meal' twice, but once they arrived, they forgot the pita bread. As a result, we only got some fries and a bowl of pulled chicken. We asked for it twice more, and it was supposed to be brought, but it never came. Unfortunately, we ate our meat without bread haha. When we received the bill, we thought, oh well, we'll solve it this way. We received a 10% discount on the incorrect products. 1.60 per person. The dish (fries, salad and a bit of meat) still cost us 14.90. We didn't think it was worth it at all, so it was a lesser experience! If it had been resolved better, we would still have enjoyed a nice lunch.

Cozy authentic establishment on the edge of Strijp S. Where else can you drink a beer for less than €3? I've eaten it several times and it's always delicious with a drink.

A surprisingly good meal in an attractively decorated and cozy tent. The hamburger tasted excellent with delicious fries. Lots of choice of beers and the chocolate mousse for dessert was excellent. Received a new glass of beer after it fell on the table, top service.

The beef burger seemed vegetarian, which I did not order. If it's not a vegetarian burger, it just wasn't tasty. The rest was fine

Ended up here by chance, my friend had soup, which was fine and other dishes on other tables looked good. I had Char Siu salad and my daughter the Char Siu meal. The meal was very weak, a bit snotty, really not tasty. My daughter ate maybe 6 bites. The salad I had looked good, chicken a bit red. I thought it must be because of the beets. In the evening I felt very nauseous and threw up everything, then I felt better, so clearly something was wrong with the food.

I always visit this place when I'm in Eindhoven. It has a relaxed and unique atmosphere in a cool location on Strijp-S. In the summer, they have some tables outside and do regular events like DJ afternoons. The range of food and drinks is good, as is general quality. Service can be a bit quirky at times, but this is mitigated by the staff's general friendliness. A definite recommend.

What a fantastic lunch spot: *the lunch was delicious (fresh ingredients, tasty flavor combination) and surprising (french fries sticks in the salad); *the staff was super hospitable, took the time for a nice chat, thought along and gave tips; *nice terrace with shade, good chairs and finally, it is convenient that we could park nearby. It was an unforgettable experience, we would love to come back again.

The Nachos were tasty but the beef burger was substandard. I always eat everything, but these were just not tasty, the fries were. Indicated that the burger was mediocre, to which I received an answer that that is possible. Yes, that is possible, but I will certainly not come back for that. The service and atmosphere are good. So I will definitely come back for a beer and Nachos.

Nice place for a drink or a meal in Strijp.

We work at Strijp-S and regularly walk past the Old Telephone Exchange after a working day. There is a cozy atmosphere and the staff is super friendly and always there for you. Our dog is also welcome and is so pampered that she is very happy to come along. In the summer we like to sit on the terrace, because there you can sit in the sun until late. We like to have drinks there, and I love the gin and tonics they serve there. The staff is so attentive: the snack we always ate had been taken off the menu, but they still have some left especially for us! Every third Sunday of the month it is extra fun, because then a DJ Gouwe Ouwen plays and you can choose your own songs.
